The allergy/intolerance policy is the best I have come across. I was dining with someone who has IBS and has dropped many items from their diet. We both found the food very tasty. I recommend this restaurant.

This is a busy but vibrant place with quick service even when pushed. Staff are friendly and helpful and the food I had was superb. Very family friendly.

Food and Service was good as for atmosphere I just gave couple of stars less as not a big fan of a noisy environment.

Went for a solo dinner whilst travelling, food was lovely I had the Beyond Burger with chips and slaw and there was no issue or fuss when i asked to change the cheese from vegan to normal. Freshly squeezed OJ and Lemo was delicious. Service was friendly and polite.

A frequent lunch stop for catching up with friends. Can be a bit busy at times and full of mums and babies which can be a bit distracting! Food is prompt and as you would expect (although I was a bit disappointed this time that my egg wasn't runny!) A good range though. I'm sure we'll be back.

Grancello lounge has a wide range of different dishes, spoilt for choice. The food is flavoursome. Excellent customer service with helpful and cheery staff that make you feel welcome. The food arrives quickly, making it ideal for those on a schedule. There are plenty of tables for large groups, perfect for family lunch/dinners or catch up with friends. Overall, it is a great spot for both solo dining and group

As a family, we decided to meet some relatives visiting from out of town at here . With three kids, including teenagers, it’s never easy to plan, but the menu made things so much simpler. There’s a great selection of appetizers and meals, with plenty of options to satisfy everyone. The food was fresh and of great quality. And the ordering via app was so easy The staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was lively yet relaxed, making it a comfortable place to bring the kids. Overall, it was a fantastic choice, and we’ll definitely be back again!

We had a drink spilt on our table by the waiter and requested a hand towel to wipe it after it was left, this drink was a cocktail and a large portion of its appeal is in its top which was never replenished. The food was as usual absolutely spot on and still no fault can be thrown on that kitchen they deliver every time. We ordered drinks towards the end of our meal to have as we finished eating and for something to waste 10 minutes with before needing to leave, however these drinks came after 40 minutes making us have to rush them to get going. We could see the staff fooling around at the bar and it just didn’t work.

Absolutely amazing service and food tonight. It was my friends 50th and she had a free glass of Prosecco and I bought in a cake which they happily lit the candles for and brought it over with staff members and sang happy birthday. Staff are so friendly and the food was delicious, such a great place with amazing staff. Top marks

Absolutely love Granello lounge. My hubby and I go there a lot for breakfast at the weekends. Food is always amazing and hot, and as we ordered it. Love that we can add or take off items on the lounge breakfasts. The pancake stack is beautiful. Would recommend this to anyone.

Outside tables remained uncleared. Coffee returned because the cup and saucer were so dirty. Glasses for the wine were similarly dirty. Service was slow. So many other smart places locally to have nice refreshments in clean surroundings!

Great staple if you want some delicious food that’s reasonably priced. Tried various things on the menu and never been disappointed. Tapas for mid afternoon snacks, Nasi Goreng for hangovers, Christmas fully loaded burger for the hell of it. Staff are all friendly and atmosphere is fun.

Great food, and a fantastic deal on a Monday evening of a free pudding with any burger or main.

We had the small plates, which were very tasty! Do think they could have been slightly larger portions, even for 'small plates'. Would definitely go again though.

Lovely Brunch. It is a bit cramped and gets full. Music at a good level. The important bit - food, excellent Breakfast Bap, glorious golden and runny egg with sausage. Hot food and coffee, lovely Latte. Choice to order at the table or bar. I ordered using the QR code and it was very easy and acomadetes for allergies. Quick service. The team are very welcoming and smile. Clean toilets and restaurant. Very Happy. Thank you

i came here with a friend for a catchup and a coffee and the staff were absolute angels. first off they took my order (i have a gluten allergy) at the bar and even got a manager to ensure it went through properly. they brought our food over and it was lovely! i have eaten at the lounges many times in different locations and they are always SO on it with allergies from my experience. we got a GF cheesecake to share and they again got a manager to put it through the till for me. after we ate we decided to try and do a puzzle (they have games and books available!) and due to time constraint we couldnt finish it and so i asked if i could buy it off them! without hesitation the manager said i could keep it. i had such a good day here, they are so attentive and sweet. i dont know their names but it was a lovely lady with a moomin tattoo, a girl in a pink shirt w a scottish accent and a really chill dude wearing all black w a beard. thank you!!!!🤍

Came here last week for a birthday treat. We had the Lounge Breakfast. Food was nice, but not exceptional. The egg was overcooked and the tomato underdone. We had to ask for sauces. They served american mustard that only contained 14% mustard and was not good with the breakfast. Colemans English Mustard would have been tastier. The tomato sauce was pale in colour and had a very weak tomato taste. A premium brand would have tasted much nicer. Service was friendly and efficient.

My muffin and egg was not great. Salad was OK. Coffee was bland.

Service was great. Food was great. Had a buddah bowl with chicken and then three tapas (Korean prawn, squid and chicken done garlic style). The stand out dish was the Korean prawn. It was sensational. I’d have eaten a bucket full of that. More more more please. Make it into some sort of a main course for me please! This is a growing chain of restaurants and I’ve been to a couple of others before this review. I’ve always come away pleased. Today was no different. I had a pint of orange juice (fresh) and lemonade and it hit the spot. Will go again (to the chain) and this place specifically was good. Good for families and friends and groups.

Here's a corrected version: The burger and chips were rather ordinary and lacked that extra something to make it a truly satisfying meal. Additionally, the price was a bit high. The fries were overcooked, and the burger itself was dry with minimal relish or filling. Therefore, I would rate it as an average 3-star experience. If the food had been tastier like some other places, I would rate it higher. The staff and atmosphere were good, albeit a tad noisy due to a lack of anything to absorb the ambient sound.

Had breakfast here, staff brought out breadsticks, carrots and humous for my 2 year old grandaughter, as well as crayons etc, service was great, food was just as good

Pleasant place to have lunch and I like to have poached eggs but they are always over cooked and you can taste the water they were cooked in. Poached eggs should be soft not hard inside. The toast is barely toasted.

Had a lovely relaxed meal last night, first time in Granello Lounge. The food was great, I thoroughly recommend the Nasi Goreng. Thanks to the friendly team, we will be back.

I've only been here once before today and I have to say that I was so impressed with the food that I had to leave this review. I had the Chicken, Bacon & Avocado Salad it was totally delicious, Quite a large dish but excellent food. My husband had the Cowboy Burger which didn't last long because the next I knew his plate was empty. The staff were really helpful & friendly and we managed to park quite close by.

We had meal elsewhere and popped here for a post meal coffee. Wish they did a mini pud with a coffee, that would have been perfect.

The gentrification of Hitchin continues to attract vegans all across the country. Well hungry vegans, you will not be disappointed! I have not eaten the vegan food here but it’s probably nice

We visited here on 11th April 2024. The service was exemplary. My son has food allergies, and it was far and away the best venue we have ever been to in the local area with respect to how these were dealt with. Attention to detail was second to none. The food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. We shall certainly eat there again next time we are in Hitchin.

So impressed with the staff at the Granello lounge particularly those who worked on Easter Saturday. They brought colouring sheets and crayons to the table for the kids, spoke cheerily and kindly to the kids, were super polite and helpful. All around a great atmosphere and the staff clearly enjoy their jobs which is lovely to see. Will definitely return PS- also amazing GF menu! Thank you!

The food was super good. I had the beetroot and feta flatbread, and it was delicious. Prices a very good and the restaurant is super nice.

Driven past many times but have never been in until last week. The interior is very rustic and welcoming. We were spoilt for choice with the brunch menu so a good excuse for us to return again soon. On this occasion I had the poached eggs with avocado but would like to try the Miami Salad next visit. Staff are very friendly and food was nicely presented and in a timely manner. Wish I had visited sooner.

The food was 10/10, it’s the service that was shocking. We visited on 16/03/24 for lunch. Ordered two cokes which sat in the bar for a good 15 minutes. There were 4-5 members of staff present who kept walking past our drinks but no one bothered to serve it, they were just talking to each other. Even the bartender couldn’t care less. At the end we had enough and my partner had to go get the drinks from the bar.

Was in here for mother's day , my son had the burger and as lovely as the menu was I had the all day big lounge breakfast I just can't resist a breakfast ,such a lovely atmosphere, staff amazing as was the food, will definitely going back

Great food, and service too, after food ordered. We arrived and were offered a choice of two tables, then the member of staff mumbled something and went off. About ten minutes later we realised that we had to order through the small QR code on the table. This took ages as WiFi not great. However, the food was excellent and drinks arrived quickly after the order went through.

Restaurants have really upped their game in Hitchin. This is one of them! Beef Brisket Chilli Slow-cooked brisket, black beans and mature cheddar, served with spicy rice, spring onion, red chilli and yoghurt

A vibrant atmosphere with an excellent selection for brunch. We both had poached eggs with muffins and hollandaise, myself with bacon and my partner with mushrooms and spinach. The eggs were perfectly poached and both options were good.

A relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff. Has both a family and dog friendly policy. There are games for children and adults. There is also a wide range and types of food and drink options

There is no other place a rather go to! Granello is my place to go! I love love love this place! I’m at Granello every now and then and they always make me satisfied with the food, service and obviously the atmosphere is fab! I totally recommend their tapas ( I always go for them when I’m peckish ) what I can recommend is the hummus with bread, honey whipped feta cheese with pita bread, their bang bang cauliflower and the mozzarella arancini, if I wouldn’t take the tapas my favourite would be the noodle bang bang chicken 🩷👌🏼 Granello lounge is my happy place! During one period I had to go none dairy and I can totally recommend their vegan menu as well, I want to eat it all 😇🤣 The people working there are sweethearts, I couldn’t recommend them more

I love this place! The interior is beautiful with loads of funky artwork and fabulous decor. The food is so good-such a wide range of menu options and they seem to get everything right. They have a special menu for gluten free which is great for my friend. The burgers are lush, as is the lamb flatbread. I wanted everything on the menu. Plus they will adapt things and can’t do enough to help!

Couldn't give rating for food as didn't eat there. Myself,husband and our friends with their dog visited Hitchin on Friday 29th Dec. The lovely staff made us so welcome and bought a bowl of water over for the dog. Big coincidence was that our friends life near Grantham in Lincolnshire where there is another cafe in this chain. Had a lovely lunch with a friend who has dietary needs. The staff were very diligent and provided a suitable menu. They asked.about whether it was an allergy or intolerance and made sure her food was correcrly delivered. This is a place my.friend trusts to eat in due to their careful handling of her dietary needs. I enjoyed my all time favourite fish finger sandwich which as always did not disappoint!

Fantastic night on the 15th for my work's Xmas meal hosted primarily by Harry and his amazing serving staff. Food was delicious, the service was fast and attentive. They even took the spreadsheet I had made organising 21 people and brought food out catered to names which I thought was a genius and wonderful touch. Such a warm atmosphere and quaint place. As some who has been before I will definitely be returning. Thank you guys for a wonderful night ❤️

I’m on a no added salt, no added sugar & no oil plant based diet. Maisy, Charlotte and the other member of the team who was a gentleman went above and beyond to cater to my needs and advising me of the most suitable dishes. The food was absolutely astonishing. I unreservedly recommend visiting this place. 5* staff & 5* food

He Flicked my Falafel Well what an experience that was, we ordered 2 Full English breakfast’s, the only thing that was hot was the Hash browns, everything was freezing cold, they also didn’t amend the changes that I asked for. When bringing over my breakfast the falafel rolled onto my beans and he flicked it back to the other side and then said oh sorry, and proceeded to put my plate down. I explained that my food was freezing cold and they stuck it in the microwave, and didn’t offer a fresh breakfast. Our toast was completely burnt, honestly worst breakfast I’ve ever had out, I still can’t get over that he flicked my falafel.

My friend and I had a lovely visit today. The lady who sat us didn’t was very friendly and even though it was very busy our food arrived quickly. We were able to order and pay from the table very easily and it was good value for money.

Nice place. Great for parents and dog owners. Spacious for prams. Food is ok. Expensive for the quality. But it does have a great atmosphere!

Average food and expensive drinks. My falafel wrap had 2 and a half falafels in it, cut into pieces to look like there were more. It's basically a starter/side put on a larger flatbread and more salad bits. Disappointing really. My friends quesadilla was burnt and black so had to get another one. Overall poor value and would not go back.
