Great little place for food and ambience.

Poor service from multiple staff not knowing the menu. The food was just okay. Would not visit again.

Caffè Concerto Whitehall, located near Trafalgar Square, is an excellent spot to enjoy London’s traditional afternoon tea. The staff were attentive, polite and friendly, making the experience even more delightful. The bathrooms were clean and spacious, which is much appreciated when you're a tourist in the city. Highly recommended for a relaxing tea break and a quick snack before continuing your journey through the streets of the UK’s capital!

We had a wonderful meal after taking in Churchills War Rooms nearby. Everything was tasty except the misto platter, which was overcooked. Suraj was an excellent host and helped us well.

We had to wait too long just to place our order, and the service needs improvement. The table next to us also experienced a long wait. Frankly, the taste feels a bit overhyped as well.

I'm not usually one to leave bad reviews... BUT this place is a tourist trap. Pretty on outside and inside, good looking menu displayed, and inviting dessert display. However, took about 10 minutes to get a server to table, 20 minutes to get drinks, and didn't bring water until we asked. The waitress didn't know the answer to simple questions like what was a certain item. No soup of the day despite being displayed largely outdoor as an intriguing pumpkin bisque(part of the reason we went in). The meatballs were good though. The pizza was cold and cheese was a very high ratio to the little amount of sauce (if any). Bathrooms were dirty, and just felt scammed overall. I didn't realize this was a chain at first, but now know that. Don't patronize this place, and opt for local.

It was a very unpleasant time!! Black hair tied up at the entrance... .A person like a manager!! From the moment I walked in, they told me I would sit on the terrace and they handed me a menu to take away without telling me where to sit. When I took my order, I made sure to make eye contact with them, but they ignored me. When the employee took my order, I understood it, but they took my order wrong and didn't even give me a menu. So when I asked if I had forgotten my order or made a mistake, I pretended not to understand... . I think it's racism, but they also look like Arabs, not Europeans with blonde hair, so why are they doing that... I felt so bad

Be careful when you dine in this restaurant. There are thieves and robbers in this area that will quickly enter the restaurant and your bag can go missing. Our bag got stolen and despite having CCTV footage the restaurant was not at all cooperative to share with us. Despite this poor service we did pay our bill and walk away but the management is not at all responsive or helpful. I have personally called the restaurant 4 times with assurance they will come back to me but of no avail. Hope they cooperate with the police.

It is a truly beautiful place to en enjoy a meal or to have the afternoon tea in London. The atmosphere is nice and the service is quite good. Like most places in London, the food could be improved. Although the products are fresh, the preparation is very basic and nothing special. In most places in London, they charge you between 10-15% for the service. However, in this place, they charge you 6,5% for the service. My experience was good, and I will probably go back again. It is not a cheap place to go, but it is not one of the most expensive in the area.

Salted caramel cake is a bit too sweet (to me), Fish & Chips is fine. Great classic decor and environment !!

Please be careful while eating at this restaurant. There are thugs and thiefs in the neighborhood. my bag got stolen from the restaurant and the restaurant staff has not been co-operative in providing the cctv footage or helped nab the culprits. They promised they will call me an update me but its been a week nobody has had the courtesy to call or update. I think its an inside job though i cannot prove it but avoid going to this place and be very careful. I was professional enough to pay the bill despite losing valuables but they dont seem to be bothered.

The apple dessert was fine, nothing exceptional. I asked them to charge my phone abit, had a charger too. They refused. Not very nice…

A very nice place with a lot of variety, the bad thing is that all the things they tried were very bad and the service was even worse.

Full English breakfast and garden breakfast were aggressively subpar, best part was beans from a can. Somehow the natural flavor of tomatoes, avocados, and mushrooms got lost on the way to my plate.

Totally not worth, the service was terrible, food quality was very low in accordance with the price and above all they charge automatically 12,5% service costs above the bill. First of all: My boyfriend and I got a table in the middle of the restaurant which was lined up with the front door. So everytime someone came in, they had to walk past us, which was very annoying because of the little distance, there was between our table and the table next to it. The door was also open, so there was a cold draft all the time. So I asked for a new table and the waiter told me that, that was not possible, because there were only tables left for 3 or 4 persons. That was weird, because I saw other couples (2 persons) sitting at a table of 4 as well... That is kinda weird...? Second of all: We had to wait at least 25 minutes for our food. It was then served without any sauce (We had fries, burgers and a sandwich). So we had to ask for sauce. Third of all: The quality of the food was very poor. The fries were dry and soaky and so was the sandwich. And the cutlery was not polished clean at all. You wouldn't expect this from such a fancy looking restaurant. Furthermore, the service. The waiters were very impolite and did not look happy at all, we really got the feeling they didn't want us there and that they wanted us to pay as quickly as possible and leave. In the conversations we had with them they were responding very short and hackneyed. They never came by asking 'how the food was' or 'if we liked it' etc. We had to ask the waiters always ourselves And on top of that at hey made us pay 12.5% ​​service charge even though we didn't wanted to do that at all! To conclude, this was our first time and last time eating here. Totally not worth your money. Only go here if you want to pay way too much for super low quality food and really terrible bad service!

Nice enough cafe on white hall, good coffee but they add service charge to your bill without asking.

I was served blue coffee without flowers, and despite noting that it looked different, no other additions were added to the menu. They added a tip even though I wasn't satisfied. I don't recommend it. I should get a discount if they serve something inconsistent with the card. It's not worth the money.

If you want to treat your taste buds to a wonderful moment, you should absolutely visit this place. Their pastries go not off for hoes and the Baileys coffee tasted like Baileys 😋. But as they say; If it tastes good, it costs money, but it can be worth it when it's so good.

I visited in the afternoon after a stroll around St James’s Park to celebrate my mum's birthday. The interior is beautifully decorated, making it the perfect spot for afternoon tea, which they offer at a reasonable price. I decided to order the prawns, mussels, and beef salad, which were absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked! I also tried a lemon cocktail with Prosecco (apologies, I've forgotten the name), and it was one of the best cocktails I've ever had. We also ordered an Irish coffee, which had a pleasant balance of strong coffee and alcohol. Given the touristy location, the service was a bit slow, and the first glass of water I received had a lipstick stain on it. However, they quickly replaced it with a clean one.It’s on the pricier side for a coffee shop, but that’s to be expected. I highly recommend the chocolate gâteau. I will definitely be visiting again.

They really need to be more attentive. I ordered a cafe and a cake which should be the simplest order, the manager forgot my cake I waited for 15 mins and had to ask another waiter for that. And when I asked for the bill, the waiter said ok and then just continued to the table setting and I waited for another 10 mins and had to ask again. The water in the bathroom was extremely hot which literally will burn your hand. Another day passed I still feel my hand skin which was burn yesterday hurt. Yesterday I was in a hurry so I forgot to ask to take out the service charge. With this service, the staffs here simply do not deserve it Updates: I tried to contact them with the email provided on the review hopefully at least they can change the over-hot water problem in the loo, but no reply as all. So no need to waste your time with this company.

Excellent experience!! Great customer service and lovely staff. Came here last year for my birthday, the manageress Carmen was absolutely exceptional and came back again this year for my birthday and the new manager Suraj and his team was just as amazing. Would definitely recommend coming back.

Original Caffè concerto does not deal with this place at all... Advise for everybody: don't pay with cash. In my experience, i paid with cash and they refuse to give me back the correct change, answering to pay with card (only after accepting my cash). My opinion, prefer other places rather than coming here.

We had a beautiful breakfast on our way to Westminster abbey The whole caffe has a feeling of old world charm the service was exceptional a special mention to Saad and af-JAL perfect.

The attendant Kamana was super kind and took care to meet our requests. As for the atmosphere, there were customers who apparently were uncomfortable with the presence of tourists. The food (afternoon tea) did not exceed our expectations, and there were still no vegan options.

Very average English Breakfast and overpriced. Was hit with a 12.5% "discretional" service fee, when I questioned it they said they add it to all bills and acted confused. Would have been happy to pay it if the service was actually decent. Seems like a bit of scam. In my experience, discretionary means optional. Be aware.

It is located in the center of Central, so accessibility is very good. I went for scones and tea, but when I ordered, 2 scones came out, so it was good for 2 people to eat, and they were very friendly. Looking at the surrounding tables, there seemed to be plenty of food and the food smelled very good. I plan to go again for lunch next time.

My friends and I came to this Whitehall location of Caffe Concerto for a last minute plan of afternoon tea. Great service as we were led to our table quickly. Furnishings are lovely and sophisticated and staff are very helpful. As there were four of us, we were able to do two afternoon tea packages (two trays serves two people, each person also gets their own teapot of your choice of tea) for not too bad of a price (around £146 total). Wide tea selection and the food was delicious! Staff were very attentive and helped us have a great experience!

We walk in this cafe while we were going to National Gallery. We ordered a sandwich and two drinks. Atmosphere is really good and the decor is nice. Staffs are polite and friendly. It was not busy when we were there and service is quick. Portion of the food is pretty and decent price.

The ambiance of the place is lovely, but the service is inattentive and frustrating. I had to wait a long time for an espresso, and there wasn't even a small glass of water served with it, as one would expect. Disappointing experience overall. However, when it came to getting rid of me as a guest, they were quick and not particularly service-oriented.

The food and service were both disappointing. Being in such a charming spot and clearly a very historically popular cafe it did not meet our expectations. The omelette was very average to poor and the apple crumble not up to par. We and others had to ask for salt and butter came late.

We waited an extremely long time before being served. We received our drinks 25 minutes before our meals. The restaurant was far from full, however. My daughter ordered pancakes, inedible, hard, dry, impossible to cut. The cold and distant butler. Very disappointing. And way too expensive for the quality. We mentioned our disappointment to the service who made us pancakes to take away (the first ones we received were probably very old)

Don’t be fooled by the place's appearance. It's a tourist trap! It's expensive, has small portions, and offers absolutely nothing special.

Pretty restaurant located a 3 minutes walk from Trafalgar Square in London. Open from morning for breakfast all day until 11pm. We had the Full English Breakfast from the menu and some excellent tea. Very good, lots of food and quite satisfying. We enjoyed it very much. The staff was pleasant, accommodating, and the service was fast and efficient. We will definitely return.

Very nice surprise is this very busy place. Great break after a lot of walking around as you do around there. Very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the gnocchi quattro formaggi. Reasonably priced for a very tasty large dish.

Absolutely avoid! Don't be fooled by their beautiful storefront and tempting cakes! The staff is really haughty and rude. It takes them over 15 minutes to give us a menu while other customers are seated and served! Plus the prices are really exorbitant!!

This place feels like a scam, would not visit again, 12.5% service charge added to my bill automatically, very slow service, unfriendly service, forgot half my order. Very pretty place and food was decent but was very unhappy with this place.

A good place to stop for a quick tea and cake. It wasn't so busy so staff had a chance to stop and be friendly. I've had afternoon tea in other branches but it was nothing special. A bit budget.
