Gracey's Pizza in St Albans

Fabulous pizza. I ordered at their location in the Battersea Power plant Mall but it was really fabulous. I had to leave a 5 star review. Wasn’t expecting much but it was delicious. Crispy thin crust and delicious tomato sauce. Lots of flavor with the sausage pizza.

You will not find better pizza in St.Albans, 10/10

We pre-ordered for two to sit in. Preordering was super easy and we specified our arrival time. The pizzas were delicious - we had the Bufala and Papa Jim. Roquito peppers were added to the Bufala as an extra, which was definitely worth it. The Papa Jim was upgraded to 16”… huge! The Bufala came out 10ish mins later than the Papa Jim which did mean that one of us ended up finishing our pizza ‘alone’. The service was friendly which softened the blow of this. Gracey’s is clearly a super popular spot locally. It’s very cosy so you must preorder if you want to secure a table. They accommodated walk-ins as best they could but I wouldn’t suggest leaving it to chance.

The Chorizo pizza was amazing and the Dips were delicious (hot honey and herb ranch). It was really easy to order through their website and the pizza was ready when we arrived. Would definitely go back

Was probably the best pizza’s my husband and I have ever eaten! Margarita was lovely and tomatoey with a subtle tint of garlic while the Chiorizo had a slight smoky background flavour. Delicious! We ate the lot!

Pre-ordering a time slot for pick up works a treat. The pizzas are very VERY good. Can’t think of anywhere better in St Albans and surrounding area. Especially the fungi and Gorgonzola. We get 16” to share. 👍

Best pizza I’ve had. Everything else can get in the bin.

Ordering and collecting was super easy. We got the pepperoni (with extra hot honey), - chorizo and one each of the baklava and tiramisu. The desserts were great, the pizzas pretty average which was really disappointing given we’d heard so many good reviews. Wouldn’t have thought there was any hot honey on the pepperoni.

Simply stunning pizza, fantastic service, lived up to their growing reputation as one of the best pizzerias around. It was everything we hoped it would be and more! We’re already planning when to come again!

My partner and I recently moved to the area from north london. Our usual rainy Sunday ritual was to grab a pizza from an amazing pizzeria near us in north London. After our move we thought that ritual would come to an end, how wrong were we! Gracey's to the rescue! Simply gobsmacked! This place is clearly a local favourite, and we'd recommend pre ordering, as it is busy but we totally understand why ! The pizza is top tier - rivalling some of the heavy hitters from London like Crisp. We are a drivable distance from Gracie's and after this one trip it will absolutely be out go too! Worth the visit !

Staff were extremely rude and unwelcoming. Won’t be coming back

First and last time! Heard they had such great reviews and arrived there and sat down not one staff member looked at me I then got up after 10 min and asked if I am to order at the desk only to be told they’ve run out of pizza! I was annoyed as the staff could have come over to me to advise but instead they avoided me like the plague!

Can’t fault this small pizza establishment. The New Haven and fungi pizzas were amazing. Great service also. I arrived without having pre-ordered on a busy Saturday evening, and they kindly squeezed my order in.

Amazing pizza! The sauce is so flavourful and the crust is so crisp. Perfect amount of cheese too! Absolutely loved them 😍(Only thing we didn't love was the garlic and dill dip which was watery and bland) Pre-ordered online for pick-up and the pizzas were ready when I got there as sadly live just a tiny bit too far for delivery. On another visit didn't get to order any pizza as all the slots were "sold out". Strange as they were still taking orders for people who'd come to dine in the restaurant. Seems to be more of a delivery place than a full restaurant that can only make pizzas if told in advance. Don't try walk in - you won't have any luck.

Tasty enough but New Haven very floppy

Amazing pizza the best I’ve tasted, the dough flavours crispy base is amazing, whole family said same. We shared 3x16, 1x12 between 6 ppl more in than enough. The hot honey is really nice to dip into. Loved it.

Unbelievable pizza, I can’t believe it’s only 10minutes away. I’m writing this review after several visits and it wasn’t a one time fluke. Consistency is also exceptional. How often can you find pizza that looks exactly like all the pictures people have taken, but then tastes better! Crust and tomato sauce are easily the best I’ve ever had. I really hope this place sticks around and grows. The only negative is that it’s small and parking can be annoying. But that’s to be expected for a small ‘newish’ business

Very good pizza, fantastic and staff, very helpful. Definitely recommend this place. I found the website a little tricky to navigate for the eat in option but this was resolved with an email and a reply. Looking forward to my next visit. I dropped 1 star from atmosphere only because the very busy Friday night takeaway comings and going’s was a little disruptive for those dining in. It’s great to see a place so busy though.

I genuinely love this place, staff and owners are nice and accommodating towards customers. The Pizza is definitely the best in St. Albans in my opinion, I’m Italian from Naples so quite picky on food and especially when it comes to pizza. Keep going guys!

Remains the best pizza I’ve ever had. Have made the trip to St Albans a number of times and was lucky enough to stumble across their pop up in Battersea. The owners are amazing people and the pizza is better than you’ll find anywhere. If you’re reading this you must go!

Cannot fault anything with this place (except perhaps the dips). I come all the way from Reading to get this pizza and it is exceptional everytime

I got takeout from this pizza place and it was very good. I had margherita with extra mozzarella and my boyfriend got smoky ron with hot honey.

Love this place, and the pizza is so light, crispy and amazing. I tried New Haven style (APizza). I will be back as soon as I can. If I had this place within walking distance I'll be eating there every day.

What was a hidden gem is no longer hidden - pizza that makes you forget the gram and taking photos but fills the stomach and the heart!

World class I’ve eaten some fairly serious pizza, the usual heavy hitters from NYC and Naples, this is definitely up there or better in some respects. The pizza base, 0 flop and crispy but tastes magic. Tomato sauce, don’t start… depth of flavour is absolutely unreal and it just doesn’t get boring. Chilli sauce is somewhat unique in texture but it’s the best I’ve had so a must try. Defiantly worth the 2 hour drive 10/10 would smash again

This was our first time trying Graceys Pizza 🍕 it was a takeaway which we ordered online the Funghi with a Bianco base, Buratta and hot honey drizzle. It was ready on time, we didn’t have to wait, we got home and we didn’t even take a pic as we couldn’t wait to try it. It was absolutely delicious with a fabulous thin base and crispy crust. Just perfect definitely making another visit.

Tonight was my first time ordering pizza, even though I live so close by in Bricket wood. The staff were so lovely and friendly. I took the pizzas home, my 13 year old son said it was the best pizza he had ever had and trust me he eats a lot of pizza 😂 I really enjoyed it too. We will definitely be ordering again. Highly recommend.

Graceys kept popping up on my Instagram with rave reviews, with insta foodies travelling far and wide to visit. Considering it’s only 10 mins away I had to try it. I expected it to be good but was taken aback by it being the best pizza my partner and I have ever had! Outstanding pizza, so fresh, so crispy, full of flavour.

Amazing pizza, definitely the best in St. Albans area - by far! If you ask me right up there also on the national level, I kid you not. Occasionally slightly overcooked, but that's a style, so if you're not a fan of (over-)charring, just mention it with your order. Otherwise an exceptional pizza: really tasty tomato sauce, perfect dough with lots of soft and fluffy aeration on the inside and that satisfying crisp crunch on the outside... and proper generous chunks of aubergine on the melanzana... You can almost taste the love and hard work that's put in this pizza by this adorable little establishment. Keep it up Gracey's!

an absolute gem ✨ I’ve been meaning to visit Gracey’s for a while but decided that our anniversary would be a good excuse to try them. I requested that the pizzas be heart shaped as a surprise for my partner and omg they were the cutest pizzas ever! They didn’t just look good they tasted amazing too. The staff were all so friendly and it was so cute that they all smiled from the kitchen when I was given the pizzas. Couldn’t recommend enough and will 100% be back 🍕❤️

There’s a reason why Gracey’s is voted top 50 pizzas in the UK - they are wonderful. My favourite is Smokey Joe but the Funghi is super too. Get the dill sauce and baklava cheesecake - yum! Plus the team of people there are friendly and enthusiastic. Love this place thank you for opening in St. Albans!

Why did it take me 5 years to find the best pizza in Hertfordshire / maybe even London….. the only place I tasted pizza this good was Naples

Banging New Haven style. So good, should have got a 16inch. Missus had a vegan ting, also superb and delicious. Atmosphere only gets 3 because they were so busy and a family next to us waited 1.5 hours for their food, while we picked up our takeaway immediately then got a seat almost immediately as someone left. Which felt wrong. But someone always gets the brunt of a busy shop while many have amazing experiences. Ours was great, I drove an hour this time, I’ll be driving more of them hours! Banging.

I was debating whether to go for my second pizza this week. Didn't dissapoint! We had a large pepperoni. Delicious! I really do think it's the best pizza I've had, and I've tried a few!

Pretty good. The tomato sauce was flavoursome and the pepperoni has a really lovely smoky flavour. The base was a bit too hard for me. 7/10.

Mouthwatering pizza, just the best! From the moment you step there you smell the fresh pizza in the oven and that's even the experience starts! The pizzas are just perfect. My absolute favourite is the New Haven one, although the simplest, it's by far the best! I got eat it every day! P.s. last time I ordered there was Terry’s Cafe Special Pizza. I absolutely loved that one too, please bring it back😄

How dare somewhere this perfect have slipped by me for so long. Gracey's do one thing and they do it incredibly well: pizzas. A menu of barely eight varieties are cooked to order, with the wait times stretching to two hours on occasion, but worth the wait. A large pizza feeds 2-3 people and the gluten free pizzas are the best I've ever tasted. I can't recommend them enough. Friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere for this tiny jewel.

When I moved here from America 10 long, pizza-starved years ago, I was bereft of hope, thinking my life would be limited to the lovely, but unsatisfying variations on the theme of Italian-style sourdough personal-pan pies that pervade these lush green British lands. Discovering this pizza spot in the wilds of Hertfordshire has turned my frown upside down and restored joy to my life in a way I didn’t think possible. I don't eat pizza often but got recommended to try Gracey's. Wow, they certainly didn't disappoint. With a small but well put together menu they certainly know how to work those taste buds. I was made to feel very welcome, the staff were very knowledgeable and open to suggestions. (not that I had any) I'll definitely be back to try the other uniquely topped pizzas. Well done guys. NOTE to Gracey’s: could you one day please open a second branch in SW London, maybe Sutton, London/Epsom, Surrey. I think it would do really well here. Review: I've been meaning to visit Gracey’s for a while, though it’s a couple of hours’ drive for us. It’s located in quite a charming little town. We’ve tried a few other spots in London, like Vincenzo’s and Patio Pizza, but we were very impressed with Gracey’s. We ordered one Margherita and one New Haven Apizza. The Margherita was flavourful, with a lovely richness in the tomato sauce. The basil was fresh, and the mozzarella was delicious. I’m tempted to try the buffalo mozzarella version next time I visit. The dough on this one was firmer than the New Haven but had that characteristic chew of a New York-style pizza. The New Haven Apizza was fantastic. We’ve been to Wooster Street in New Haven and have had Sally’s and Pepe’s a few times. Gracey’s version was remarkably similar to what we’ve experienced there. The pizza was not only fresh but had an amazing char, just like a proper New Haven pizza. The dough was crispy and thin. It would be great to see a few more New Haven items make their way onto the menu here. We said hello to Gracey herself at the end and she was very friendly and happy to chat. We’ll definitely be back. Worth the journey!

Honestly can't fault Gracey's. I ordered a collection and it's now a firm favourite, I would likely say that Gracey's make the best pizza I've ever had. We ordered the spinach and courgette special and a 16" cheese pizza. Delicious and quick, thank you!

One of the best pizzas in greater London + I’ve tried them all and this ranks pretty high up as amazing pizza. I got the new haven and a margarita. Both spectacular but the new haven was the one to get again! Staff are super nice and accommodating. Update: I went again and it was just as good and if not better!

Just incredible! Don’t be afraid of the char 😉Really thankful it’s so far away otherwise I’d be a regular and then I’d be about double the size.

Gracey's pizzas are exceptional! I placed an order for several pizzas for an event I was hosting on a Saturday afternoon. The service they provided was as good as they pizza they made! Highly recommend Gracey's and I look forward to visiting again soon.
