Im staying at st Day tourist park so decided to try the local chinese. One of the best chinese takeaways i have ever had. Food ready in 10 minutes good portions and hot. Food was lovely . Lovely couple higly recomend

Best Chinese in area. But they don't deliver & it's cash only.

This was the 1st time we have tried the food here and it was all yum! I think this will become our choice for a Chinese from now on. It was quick, tasty and there was plenty of it.

Crispy shredded beef and Singapore rice has been lovely the last two times we have had it but prawn crackers were a bit stale tasting

Had first Chinese from here tonight since new people took over. Spent just under £30 for two of us, loads left over for tomorrow. Try the wet special fried rice, you could eat that on its own. Big pieces of meat , fresh veg, couldn't ask for more. Shout out to the chap on the desk for explaining the different dishes. Will definitely support this local establishment going forwards.

Don’t know what they do to the chips dry overcooked and at £4 bloody nasty. Thay looked and tasted like they had been reheated from last week…. Used to love the food from here… but never again!!!!

Was nice an spicy, just how I like it. Recomend the chicken in black bean sauce and egg fried rice.

The food was very good and reasonably priced..the service was excellent and food cooked quickly .. all the staff were pleasant and courteous...5 stars all the way

Great authentic tasting Chinese food. I highly recommend the King Prawn in Black Bean Sauce. Vegetable spring rolls are tasty too.

The food is always excellent here, and the service fast and efficient. The prices could do with a slight tweaking in a downward direction, however, but I do recommend this take-away as the best I know.

Don't bother if you are in a rush or hungry/hangry. Went in ordered and payed no other customers in, still waiting 1 1/2 hours later.. mean while phone orders being taken and collected. Asked how long our order would be, still another 45mins. Not good enough. Tell your customers if there is a long wait before they order Got refund went to Lanner chippy instead not going back. Could of went to any other Chinese in Cornwall in that time.

Good food, the satay sauce isn't the best, but we've been happy with everything else overall

Didn't wait long food was just fine

Portions have shrunk. Price has gone up. Sweet and sour sauce only half full. Really really small portions now.

Absolutely useless in a day that we have come to use cards . Do they think they are back in the “dynasty “ . I’m ordering from home , but they want cash . Is this cash transaction getting recorded with the HMRC?

Best take away in the area! The food is great, the service is polite and friendly, just what you need when the hunger hits.

It was closed. When open, food is good and very reasonable in price. Cash Only tho.

Once again, went in and chef/ owner shouting at a very polite member of staff. Four times, I've witnessed this totally unacceptable behaviour. Checked young girl was ok. Next time its Police.

I’ve got to say the way the man out back speaks to his staff is outrageous. Young lady taking orders is very polite and happy considering the way she’s being spoken to by him. His wife is standing there letting it happen, wouldn’t surprise me if he’s horrible to her too. Judging by other reviews here, it seems to be a running theme. Not sure how he gets away with it. If you’re reading this you angry little man, I think you need a couple of classes in anger management! Certainly won’t be returning. Disgusting behaviour! Good food.

The food is always excellent. Place your order, go to collect at the allocated time. Easy!

Such an amazing Chinese.. the food is just incredible and the portion size are brilliant and not greasy .. we had enough left over the next night.. staff are lovely. Just got to to remember that it is cash only.. would drive from Truro to get this than any in our local area... We will be back again

Love this Chinese used to live in carharrack now live in Redruth no other Chinese compares. Good quality food. Love the salt and pepper chips my fav.

Lovely food, really friendly staff too

We had a takeaway from GQ tonight and the food was terrible - my noodles were so oily and my partners rice was dark chocolate brown and really heavy and stodgy. The texture of the meat felt old and microwaved too. Not only was the food terrible but I feel so sorry for the girl working the front counter as I asked her for a pot of sauce and when she asked the chef he literally SCREAMED at her. What a horrible man!

Very slow service but good food.

Good quality Chinese, the Barbecue Ribs in particular were very good, not dry like most places.

21/07/2018 ordered food got burnt noodles the boy said “ not my fault” we are busy and there is nothing we can do this is the same boy that fault a pineapple fritter was a banana fritter there is no customer service they don’t care about customers just profit avoid There’s a nicer Chinese in Redruth

Excellent choice and varied menu. Chefs specials worth a try. Portions much larger than expected and all seemed cooked to order, well worth the wait on a busy Friday night when the phone orders did not stop coming in. Very pleased. Thank you.

Got my order wrong which I only noticed once I got home. Food was ok though.

Probably the best I've tasted in Cornwall

The food is undoubtedly good, however I urge you not to visit this establishment, the chef (who is the boss) was shouting aggressively at the staff, when we arrived the lady serving us was visibly upset, I wish we hadn't already paid before it became obvious that the boss was being so abusive to his staff, we would have left without any food anybody that treats their staff that badly doesn't deserve customers. Such a shame

I agree totally with Dave: GQ is the best little Chinese takeaway I have tried in the area by far: always lovely fresh cooked tasty dishes, generous portions, friendly service. I also go there frequently and they have never got an order wrong yet...

Really poor customer service got my order wrong and wouldn't change it without a cost to me even though they got it wrong. 1St and last time I will ever use this Chinese. DO NOT USE!

I would strongly recommend that you do NOT use this takeaway. I ordered a meal for myself and my wife, but when I got it home they had made a mistake with my food. I phoned them and was asked to return the item that was incorrect. I told my wife to eat her food and I drove back with the offending item. The replacement item was £3.00 more which I happily paid but when I suggested some complimentary chips as mine would now be cold they went mad. One of the owners was shouting in the kitchen and another came to the counter and shouted at me. I was the one who had to drive back to the takeaway because of their mistake; I was the one who did not eat with my wife because of their mistake. The owner told me I was not going to get any free chips and if I did not like it phone 999 !!! I left the takeaway without any chips, a bit dazed but firmly resolved never to use their "service" again. If you decide to use them make sure they get your order right first time because you will not like them when they are angry.

From the day they first opened I have visited at least two or three times a month. Having lived in Singapore and Hong Kong I can say with authority that these lovely people provide the tastiest most authentic Chinese food that I have sampled in Cornwall. The owners are always attentive and friendly.
