This Spanish tapas bar & restaurant proved a real gem of a find in Pimlico – granted, a friend that accompanied us on the day actually recommended it, having been there before. And it did not disappoint – with a wide menu selection offering too many delicious & tasty, authentic dishes, with some of my ‘favourites’ being Albondigas (meatballs in a red wine & tomato sauce), Tortilla Espanola (Spanish omelette), Chorizo al Vino (Spanish sausage cooked in red wine), Pollo a la Mostaza (Chicken in mustard sauce), and Patatas Bravas (Potatoes with spice tomato sauce), to name a few. Attentive, efficient staff on hand, with both indoor & outdoor seating available. I’d go back without a doubt! Highly recommended.

Went for lunch on a Wednesday- restaurant full even then-great tapas menu-must be, the table next to us were Spanish (but yes, the food was tasty and plentiful. I had padron peppers, anchovies and squid- more than enough for me and the other half had chicken and rice, chorizo in wine and bean casserole- too much for him! It was serves promptly, piping hot and well presented.

Welcomed in by friendly staff despite not having a reservation. An excellent, varied menu that covers all of the bases. Our waiter recommended an excellent Rioja that complimented the dishes well that was also good value. We were not rushed off our table despite some of the evening dinner guests arriving which was very much appreciated. All in all a good lunch in a nice area. It is clear that is this is a popular spot with local residents too.

I went to this restaurant for a friend's birthday. The tapas I ordered was chorizo (which I really enjoyed despite it being a bit too oily for my liking), the chicken and rice, which I didn't really rate too much; there wasn't a great deal of taste to it and the garlic prawns (which were tasty despite the heavy amount of garlic involved) and most of had a decent price range of around £5-£8. The sangria was really refreshing and tasty. The service however could've been improved a little bit.

Ordered aubergine vegeterian dish undercooked just warmed up . Horrible! I was thinking about having few tapas but thankfully changed my mind last minute thinking can order once eaten first. I wish I have asked for my money back.

A good busy tapas restaurant. A party of 4 shared 8 tapas. All were perfectly cooked - yet we all had the feeling that they could have been that much better. The highlight of the meal was the manchego cheese for dessert. Good portion and great value. But if this was our highlight what did this say about the rest of the meal. Worth a punt though if you are in the area as this part of town is not overly blessed with good eating places.

We go for the tapas. Our favorites include the croquettes, arroz con pollo, meatballs and pork chops. The service is typical for a small restaurant so do not expect a lot in that area.

I enjoyed my experience at Goya, the outside looks a little unappealing, though the inside environment was very welcoming, staff were friendly and provided a good and friendly service.I don't feel that there was much food variety, though the food in which I had was tasty and reasonably portioned.

My wife and I went there to try some spanish tapas and the waiter welcomed us rudely and telling us that he was tired and not happy (that was the first sentence coming out from his mouth!!!) Then we ordered 2 tapas and a bottle of water and he looked at us and start moaning something while he was going back to the bar to proceed with the order. It looked to us like he wasn't happy with the money we were about to spend. Despite this fact, food is top quality!!

I love the food there, but some of the staff members look at you as you did something to offend them. Last time we had a lunch at Goya, I was glad that the look couldn't kill as our friend would have died every time he burst with laugh. At the very best the staff on duty is miserable, but if you are unlucky to call in on a bad day, they can become quite unpleasant.

Visited Goya after a year's gap tonight. Had family visiting and thought it would make a pleasant spot for good food and a friendly atmosphere. I was wrong. From asking for a table to ordering drinks, each staff member was grumpy, other than the manager. We waited a long time for starters. The asparagus was wrapped in hardly any Serrano ham or parmesan and it was cold. After the long wait for main courses the paella was dry and cold, it looked like it had been sat under a hot plate far too long. The other mains were cold. We told one waiter who walked away with no apology. After waiting some time we got up to leave. The manager asked us what the problem was. When we explained, he argued the food was fine and made no apology. He then walked away and another waiter presented the bill for drinks and starters. When I said I didn't want to pay the service charge he snatched the bill from me. All in all, very poor food and extremely rude staff. I don't know why this place is so busy and it appears some basic customer service training would help.

Enjoyed a very pleasant family event at Goya last Thursday afternoon and in the heatwave we could almost have imagined ourselves on the Plaza Mayor.Food is great quality with a wine list to match that doesn't take you to the cleaners.Family of four adults, two hours of attentive service in the sun with sangria, beers and two bottles of a £24.50 (which was mid-way/high-ish on the list) white wine, all-in-all (including service charge) came to £175.00. . . . well satisfied - especially for London!

I visited at the end of June 2015. The restaurant was completely full and had a pleasantly buzzing atmosphere, and the service was fine throughout. However, the quality of the food fell well below our expectations. Calamari, a tapas staple, was rubbery and tasteless, bread tasted stale and the chorizo lacked any real flavour. Put together with the fact that our bill came to £85 (5 tapas dishes and a bottle of wine), I am quite sure we will never be back.

I made dinner reservations for me and my wife days in advance and requesting seating upstairs and not in the basement (dungeon!), but guess what they don't care about reservations. The manager lied to my face and said they don't take reservations and that they didn't get any call from me. And now the grand finale, they refused the sit us upstairs in spite of my repeated request that it was special occasion for me and my wife. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN! DON'T GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!!!

A few steps from Pimlico station and Tate Britain round the corner.Goya is a typical Spanish restaurant in the heart of London. We booked a lunch table for seven although it was not as busy as probably evening time . So recommended for a quiet lunch away from the hubub of town.I arrived early, was well looked after and was able to have coffee upstairs and watch the world go by, it was obviously also a place for the locals to gather for late morning drinks, always a good sign. When we were all gathered we were shown to a table downstairs. I was pleased to see crisp white table cloths and napkins in a very pleasant room with little alcoves around the side.We all ordered different meals beginning with Tapas, which was a meal in itself ! The staff , all Spanish, were friendly, helpful, efficient and quietly attentive. The food was excellent and tasty all round.I had kidneys in Marsala for a main course, which was to die for.Every one in the party said the same of their choice. Some of us had a sweet course and one couple said the traditional Almond tart did Goya proud. Highly recommended and will definately revisit. Cost just over £30 perhead , including wine and coffee.

We dropped into Goya after going to the Tate - when we got there it was pretty busy so the only tables were downstairs. We initially took a table but all tables for two were in very brightly lit alcoves and it wasn't very conducive to a relaxed atmosphere - we were also sat next to the only other couple in the room and there were plenty of other seats, so we decided not to stay,But then when we went upstairs two people were leaving from the bar area so we jumped in quickly! Glad we did it as once we were back in the 'vibe' of the place it was a much better environment. The tapas was lovely - definitely recommend the spanish tortilla, the creamy croquettes, the meatballs and the spinach and chickpea salad which were all lovely. The prawns in oil weren't all that and the manchego cheese was nice. We had a lovely bottle of wine and could just sit back and enjoy the evening.Definitely recommend going if you can get upstairs, if you're offered downstairs then I'd think again.

My partner's 92 year old father lives close by to Goya, so we often go there, it is convenient for disabled parking and also for him to walk too. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, service is usually quick and the food is delicious. We normally have fish of the day and chips, nearly always plaice, but it is beautifully cooked, with all the skin removed, allowing you to eat every piece of it, the chips are dry and nearly as good as those my mother made!!My partner has the Spanish omelette with a few of my chips or from her father, but she always has trouble finishing her food.Goya is the only restaurant I know that sells white Rioja, it is amazing, so the white Rioja alone it is well worth a visit!Food is excellent value for money and so is the wine!!

Second night of our four day trip and the second researched restaurant. Goya, atmospheric tapas room upstairs and spacious dining room below. Welcome was warm and service friendly and efficient. We chose a variety of tapas, one to pick one as a starter with the superb bread and olives. Then the rest arrived, just glad we have big appetites. Unlike the tapas in Spain these all arrived with extra garnish e.g. salad, arroz, potatas making what is a sizable portion. Each was very well cooked and presented but lacked seasoning and the kick of garlic and some heat that is present in Spanish food, waiter informed us that we could have requested this, but it was too late. On the whole though very enjoyable and good value for money. Tip. Try not to over order at first because portions are big, service is fast so you can add further dishes as you eat. Sit back and enjoy.

Took a wrong turn on Lupus St. after getting off the #24 bus on the way to the Tate Britain. Great find, professional service, and delicious food. Such an interesting menu we'll definitely go back for dinner. Best thing it's off the beaten track, not a tourist spot, not that there's anything wrong with that since we were tourists. Highly recommended. Nice bar as well.

I have eaten here many times since I discovered it by chance two years ago and it is a place that I have often taken friends and visitors to London. I have used both the upstairs tapas bar and downstairs restaurant and have always found the food very good, the wine list extensive but not too expensive, and the service friendly and attentive. Everyone I have taken there has been very happy with the place and the food, and the decor and atmosphere particularly upstairs are very engaging. I am really looking forward to better weather when we can sit outside again.

Honestly, this place was just awful. The food was bad. Small portions (8 padrón peppers in a portion…), over cooked, and very over priced. The service was terrible. I can understand people have bad days and that if you’re short staffed it’s hard but having to ask repeatedly for the food we’ve ordered isn’t ok. Very disappointed I wasted time and money here - I’d advise you go elsewhere.
