First trip to Borough Market and spoilt for choice really for food. Decided on the Gormet Goat as the menu looked a bit different and there were a few seats to be had. Good quality, good service and good value for money. Recommended for flatbread wraps. Excellent street food.

I thought the food was fab and all tasted really fresh ., didn’t have to wait too long and there was a little seating area. For the money I thought it was more than reasonable and you got loads.

Perhaps it was a bad day, really unimpressed with the kid goat kebab today, it used to be my favourite meal in Borough market, I was so disappointed I only ate a third of it and threw it away

I LOVE the Gourmet goat! The food is flavorful and bright! I truly believe that one of the ingredients is love! I enjoy trying new places when I go to the market but I crave the gourmet goat because it never disappoints me.

This is a great place to grab a takeaway lunch while in the Borough Market / London Bridge area. Wraps and bulgar wheat pilaf bowls with a variety of toppings - kid goat and roast veal are my favourites. There are a few tables and chairs you can perch at, both at this stall and in the market area, Good value and tasty!

I stopped at this borough market stall on a hot day. Their food looked wholesome and fresh, although there was not a queue at all on this busy day in the market. I had the halloumi bulgar pilaf and it was tasty. The chili sauce came all in one spot as did the tzatziki, but it was also fine to have the flavours be separate. I enjoyed my lunch, however ended up sitting on a curb with my family as the market didn’t have much seating at all.

AMAZING chicken wraps, life-changing, cue chef’s kiss. My mother liked it, so that’s saying something. The staff were incredibly friendly and the food was served quickly. Will go again.

Perfect example of how you can’t go wrong with anything at Borough Market. The veal was really moist and tender with a good dollop of veg and lots of other options.

I guess everyone is catching up with COVID reopening but on 25 June this was reopened (not saying that on TA). I work nearby and often have wraps for lunch. There are a few standout options in the area for a gourmet pitta (£7-8 mark). This now goes to the top of my list. Incredibly soft flatbread, tons of meat and tastes amazing. I will be back.

Situated in Borough Market, this “fast food” place is anything than fast food. Geniunely “home-cooked” and tasty and not that expensive. Fresh!

I came here for the goat. The only goat on the menu was a kofte and it was bland, chewy and drenched in sharp lemon juice. Not what I expected at all. The accompanying pilaf and slaw were OK. Overall, I admire their attempt to find a use for kid goat meat but they could do so much more with it!

This week I ate very well in two of London's most celebrated new restaurants. But nothing gave me as much pleasure as the food at the Gourmet Goat in Borough Market. And for a fraction of the price I paid, at these much more upscale establishments. Lovingly prepared dishes from organic, fresh locally produced vegetables and ethically raised meat. The Greek White beans stew I had was a triumph. Well worth going to the Market to sample their food. Just go!

It's the most dishonest restaurant I visited in London. Check your bill, what it says in the Manu is no what they charge. The food is very basic the service is very basic. Not recommended.

So this is an interesting place. First of all, let me explain all of the good points. The food is made very well, super tasty, loads of flavour, delicious. For this I’ll give 5/5, I didn’t eat anything that was bad. As a group on a business evening meal with my team this was also a lovely, busy, fun ambience in a pretty converted building and sitting upstairs was a great atmosphere. For a group booking where you want to all share food, the menu is also perfect as the dishes and style of food lend themselves to being shared my multiple people so this makes the whole experience very sociable. Again 5/5. Now onto the not so good… Drinks prices … £7.50 for an Israeli beer is outrageous. 330ml coke in glass bottle £5.00 outrageous. Wine, pretty rubbish list and hideously overpriced so didn’t bother at all. You should also be aware that as a group of 6 people spending over £300 weeks only ordered 1 drink each during the whole meal for two reasons. Firstly, the drinks were so extortionately priced, even for London, high rents, blah blah whatever! And secondly, which brings me onto my next point…we were a table of 6 people on business, with corporate credit cards and yet virtually no waiters ever came over to offer us more drinks or to see how our food was! So the service was pretty non existent which in a place so highly priced is not acceptable. So we got charged £37 for rubbish service, far from ideal, including it taking them forever to bring us our bill at the end! And then food prices. Yes, the food is good, but when you look at what goes into the dishes, much of it is either vegetarian or where there was a protein it was a tiny amount of meat or fish in the dish. So a good example…Houmous in a typical Turkish restaurant would be no more than £8 and you would be served as much pitta bread as you can eat! At this restaurant houmous was £12-15 each but the pitta was extra so we got charged £24.50 for pitta alone, which probably cost the restaurant about £2.00 and should have been included in the price of the houmous! Other main dishes are £20+ but were also small and disappeared in minutes between six of us. Overall, this was hugely disappointing…we paid £333 and left still hungry for more food, thirsty after a lack of drinks and underwhelmed all round! For this kind of money we recently had an outstanding meal with wine in a high quality restaurant in Chelsea which shows you how overcharged this place is. In a Turkish or Greek restaurant we would have paid £200 for the same kind of meal! Change your pricing and improve your service and you’d be a 5/5 and still here in 3 years time. Don’t, and I’m guessing you will long since be shut down by 2027!
