Lovely curry and chips. Chicken fried rice disappointing. Rice barely fried, only two bits of chicken and very small portion compared to other restaurants. Would order curry again but not fried rice.

salt & chilli ribs, and chili beef horrible and crispy and dry, no meat had all crisped up. salt & chili chicken like chjcken nuggets. Chow mein very good but everything else awful.

The food sadly was absolutely awful it was really greasy and burnt . worse £23 spent in ages. Not a good time to be wasting money.

Went here as it had shorter delivery times than the usual. Food was okay, noodles were greasy, fried rice was nice. Sweet and sour didnt have much flavour and was quite pale. Prawn crackers were also a bit soft and thin.not great but ok.

No prawns in special fried rice curry was nice fried rice like boiled rice bits of meat in it most Chinese takeaway give you free prawn crackers over £10

i want a refund for the so called ribs, they were inedible. the chicken thai green curry noodles and rice was great though

food was bland and tasted of fish sauce. need to at least clean the pans per dish or use clean ones. not be going again.

Ribs had hardly any meat on them and were mostly made of a crispy coating I'd associate with chicken wings. Noodles burnt, foo Yung tasted like 'it had never met an egg' and Szechuan was incredibly oily, not spicy and just generally didn't taste very nice.

Oven chips, fried rice didn’t look fried. Curry v oily. Won’t be ordering anything from there again. Didn’t eat the food.

Last time I shall use just eat. Delivery times on the app are completely wrong. I waited 80 mins for my food when it was quoted as 35 - 50 mins. Driver told me to come to the main road cos he couldn’t find my house but I had to make 2 visits as he wasn’t there the first time. Food not surprisingly cold and the first ever Kung po chicken I have had without nuts in it. Overall a rip off

Bbq ribs (IN)!!! Bbq sauce no mine were dipped in bbq sauce no sauce in bottom off tray! Also don't do free spring roll or prawn crackers with orders over 20 or 30 quid like every Chinese also bbq sauce which I licked off ribs was bland only order from here cause my partner likes your chow miens

This is by far the best Chinese takeaway in my opinion I love it I live in Halifax miles away and every time I come to Bolton to see family I get one

First time order from here, chicken nice and tender, everything tasted fresh and arrived early and hot.

Food lovely and hot, but drivers are stupid. Don't listen to the simple instructions at all. Drives are rude and unhelpful. Not just one, but two of them!

Partner says his chicken curry with egg fried rice and chips was fine but as soon as I had a spoonful of my chicken noodle soup I thought it needed more msg. The soup and the mixed appetiser were both very bland. The sweet and sour sauce was very vinegary with a layer of grease on top. Food was piping hot, very fresh and delivered earlier than expected but never thought I'd need to add extra msg to my Chinese takeaway.

Food was fine but arrived cold. Absolutely no updates on where in the process your order is. I had to prompt them to text me to get any sort of update after the initial delivery estimate had passed but not refreshed

The only thing I enjoyed was the banana fritter, I was so disappointed, used the be my favourite Chinese, the "ribs" where not ribs, no idea what they were but definitely not a rib, waste of money, went straight in the bin!

Delivery time was fantastic arrived early the food was NASTY the sweet and sour chicken smelled bad the prawn toast was fried bread with the thinnest layer of the prawn spread they could get away with the ribs were ok the chicken fried rice was bland and colorless...im pretty sure they boiled the chicken the best thing about the whole thing was the spring rolls! if i could i'd get a refund as i threw 90% of it away

One of the meals was burnt and had little taste. The restaurant also delivered late. However, I would still order from here a second time to see if the food and delivery time would improve. Overall, I'm happy with the food.

Shocking quality, chips like you’d get out of a kebab shop not what you’d expect for a Chinese. Curry sauce was bland, noodles uncooked and chewy but somehow still burnt, not a clue this place...

Ribs where awful cheep deep fried frozen lumps of fat, Not much meat in the special fried rice or chowmain Don’t think I’ll bother again disappointed

very average food. . Prawn crackers were stale , I could bend them in half and they didn’t snap the salt and pepper chip were a portion of chips with a few onions thrown on top and 6 tiny chillis. I rang the shop and a very unhelpful lady said what do you want me to do about it and wouldn’t refund the money. I will never order from here again.

Absolutely shocking food. Ribs smelt off Noodles were so greasy I cooked eat them. Kitchen roll was absolutely dripping in grease 😢

Decent takeaway, but it's expensive by Bolton standards. May order again when our regular takeaway is closed for another long weekend.

Struggling to find the words to discribe the food in a short sentence. It was poor basically, You can get better for a couple quid more.

Overcooked pork balls but rest was edible

Hot n sour soup hardly anything in it.. Special fried rice meat pieces so small you could not taste them.. Salt n chili pepper chicken ok but no chilies.. Just being honest..

This meal I was so looking forward to, starved myself all day and skipped lunch. I used gourmet garden because my go to was closed. The meal could have been so different if there had been sweet and sour sauce with the "sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style". There was a tiny amount of sweet and sour sauce, not enough to even coat the chicken in batter. All in all the meal was dry and rice needs a sauce. May be this was a one off but I'll stick to what I know.

Driver needs to read instructions left. Was rather abrupt. Supposed to be contactless and he ws wanting to give me our meal and not keeping to covid ruling. No face mask. Less than a foot away from my gate. Was very unhappy considering we are a disabled household and they are aware of this.

We collected because the delivery time was estimated at over an hour. It was well worth the collection. The food was ready in 20 mins and everything was delicious. 4 of us ate different dishes and all really enjoyed it. We'd definitely order from here again.

The rest of the order was OK, but the king prawn fried rice wasn't good, what I got was a load of prawns and boiled rice not fried rice, disappointed as we've been customers for a while.

i have gone to gourmet garden for around 7 years, have tried other chinese places but they dont match up, its an honest review so il be honest, i have ordered delivery a couple of times and it has taken an hour+ to arrive and when it has it has been bang average, however all the other times (and in the future) when i pick up its 10 min wait and the food is fresh and red hot, clean takeout and friendly staff, i get prawn cracks, shredded chicken, sweet n sour pork hong kong style and chips for £10.50, bloody bargin. seriously if you can drive go get a gourmet garden and i bet you wont go anywere else again. 5*

Esta tarde, tres de nosotros compartimos rollos de primavera vegetarianos, la sal y la pimienta, pollo costillas con jengibre y cebollas de primavera, especial y crujiente pollo, arroz frito con vegetales mixtos. Como de costumbre, todo estaba delicioso. Estas personas comienzan con comida de buena calidad y cocinar adecuadamente. De no ser perezoso, voy a recoger nuestra propia comida; cuando llego a casa, recién hecha y caliente.
