Ashton gave us the best customer service when we needed help using a voucher which wasn’t working. He was so helpful and super friendly. Turned our evening around!

Very disappointed with GBK , they have got a big sign out saying burger, fries and drink for £9.00 but the burger is either beef or vegetarian. Not chicken as apparently chicken is more expensive then beef, so the staff informed us. But we can upgrade to chicken for £2. The burgers are certainly getting smaller. I remember the first GBK we had and I didn’t know how I going eat it as it so big . Now it’s just burger and chips, nothing special. Will go McDonald’s next time

A good meal, but not easy getting the attention of staff on this empty Saturday afternoon. Luckily we managed to (easily) get the attention of Tom, who was helpful, sweet and does a fabulous job of keeping the restaurant running smoothly.

I have the kind of dangerous allergy where restaurants won’t always serve me but Tom and Patricia were terrific and were willing to work with the most awkward situation ever. The food was lovely and they were super careful. Thank you so much.

I think think is pretty overpriced for what you get, it’s a bog standard burger and chips which cost over £40 including a drink and a side. I have had better McDonald’s. The staff were good though.

I ate here with my wife before going to the cinema. We were greeted quickly at the door and shown to our table, (we had booked online). We ordered via the app from our table which worked well. Drinks and food were delivered quickly and staff seemed friendly enough. We both enjoyed our burgers and shakes, and the beignets we had for dessert were tasty as well. Overall I’ve no complaints and would happily eat here again.

This branch is awful. They are always out of stock of various things- those new drinks they brought in a few months ago seem to always be out. There is always about 10 staff in there doing nothing apart from chatting and not paying any attention to customers at all, I literally had to wave at a member of staff (which i appreciate was rude of me) for them to realise that I had sat there for 10 minutes and not started eating because I was missing something. They checked back on us after we had finished our meal to ask if everything was ok and remove the clothes peg- pointless exercise this should have been done shortly after we started eating. I had a hair in my burger. Food tastes good but I really don’t think it’s worth the price you pay. As a rule GBK is so overpriced it’s ridiculous- I don’t understand why you have to pay extra for certain condiments given that I have just spent short of £15 for a burger?

This was my second time at GBK in Staines. I returned because I thought the food the first time round was great! Again, the food didn't disappoint, however the service in Staines BGK restaurant is really disappointing. I sat for 15 mins in the restaurant, waiting for my friend. The waiter who showed me to my table didn't tell me I needed to order drinks at the bar. Eventually, I called him over (as noone was coming and I didn't know why), he shouted across the restaurant that I needed to order my drink at the bar. The guy serving me at the bar, had a mask and a glass in front of him, so it was really difficult to understand him. The starter - halumi bites, where cold and rubber like and came with both main meals. I had a naked burger and a friend had a beef, blue cheese burger. Both were nice. After we finished eating, the plates didn't get cleared for 25 mins! The table next to me complained as there was some error with their order and their food was cold. I remember having similar problem during my first visit. This is obviously the norm in this place. It is badly managed, the staff are unfriendly (particularly the host at the door - quite ironic!) borderline rude and not very accommodating. I won't be returning to this particular restaurant.

First visit to this branch, in fact my first visit to any GBK since before the pandemic, for an impromptu lunch with my teenage son. Covid measures could not be faulted from start to finish, with good spacing, cleanliness and if you don't have the app for track and trace you are asked to fill in a card each at the entrance. So many places skip this. It's a very spacious restaurant so this also helps. Excellent service from all the staff we encountered - very friendly, welcoming and efficient. They explained that you can either have waiter service at the table, order via a barcode you can scan, or order on the app. I'd downloaded the app and found it really easy to use, and on it you can specify how you want your burger done and anything you want to add or leave out, plus pay straight away on it. We had plenty of check backs and offers of condiments etc. GBK food is always very tasty and this was no exception - as a vegetarian I'm always well catered for with their vegan burger range, and my son highly rates the beefburgers. A faultless experience and we will certainly return to this branch again.

Been here a few times and always have a great evening. The staff at the Staines restaurant are always so friendly and provide amazing service. Came after hearing good things about this chain and I was certainly not disappointed. Freshly cooked burgers that were absolutely amazing, very good value meal with chips and a shake for £13. So I was aiming to use my student discount with my loyalty stamps. With the introduction of the new app the system has changed and you’re only able to get a student discount when you sign up with a school email, where before you could click student discount and had to show your ID/ unidays to a member of staff for it to go through (a far better system). I have just left college so soon my current student email will be deactivated, but had I signed up with it before in the upcoming months I would lose any loyalty stamps I had collected and not used which is honestly ridiculous. I have loved GBK for the best part of 5 years since the branch has opened in Staines and have had the account even through the app change with my stamps moving over to my new account using my personal email… I had to explain to the manager that if I was to create a new account with my student email, it wouldn’t apply my stamps as they had been connected to my personal account. In this case I had enough stamps for a free burger (£10.70 worth of food here), and so I wasn’t going to just let the stamps go. She told me to set up a new account and that she would order my food herself and I would just have to do the payment system on my phone on my new account. With the stamps, I didn’t need to order the burger and she put it through for free, but she then explained to me the student discount would no longer work as I needed to buy a burger for it to apply (discovered myself this was wrong and the discount applied without the burger but anyways), so she graciously offered my fries for free (even though their value was more than I would’ve got off had the order all worked normally). All I bought was my milkshake, so I really did appreciate everything Irena did for me to amend the app issues. All in all, the new app isn’t better. You can tell the new student system wasn’t created with student practicality in mind or in contact with anyone who has used student discounting, as it makes it so much more complicated to be loyal and still save money. No other company requires student emails to log into apps or websites to get student discounts, usually activation through a unidays code is enough. If someone was to create their account at 13 when they joined secondary school so they could get their discount this would only last until they left, then they would have to set up a new account for college, and then again for uni… it’s a painstaking process… in a normal situation, an account can be made and a flash of a student ID or unidays (which updates as you go through the schooling system) is enough to justify you’re a student (as I explained before). Also, I strongly dislike having anything non-education related in my college inbox (which I think many people will agree with). Even unidays emails are a pain so to require me to use my college email to get student discount honestly doesn’t feel worth it for the issues it will cause. Finally, I actually asked at the beginning if I was able to just show my server my unidays ID and if he could put it through the til and bring me a card machine but he said the only way to get the student discount was through the app… so whilst making the discount service practically impossible to use there is also no work around. The service was great, and the manager did everything she could to help, but if you’re asked if you want to order on the app/through the QR code or in person - PICK IN PERSON!

This is a relatively new establishment in Staines. We went as a party of 6 including 2 small children. Burgers were pretty good, service was also nice, however the final bill was 30% more than what you may expect from a upmarket burger place. This is why I only gave 3 stars.

I like gourmet burger because they do all kinds of burgers. And if you hate beef ones they have bacon chicken pork. All of that sort. The best one is the chicken satay. I get that one every time as it is delicious. And they hold the BEST chips. Skinny fries. And, there Oreo milkshake to go. Don't get it in the restaurant while eating get it when you leave as it will fill you up. And you won't have to miss out on a tasty burger

We went out as a family for a meal and whilst the food is great the bill came to over £80 for 4 of us - this is quite pricey in my opinion for what is effectively a burger and chips!

My daughter, granddaughter and I decided to try this restaurant and really enjoyed our meal. We had Taxidriver burgers and small fries which were delicious. The only dish we did not like was the coleslaw as it was not the usual but shredded veg and pomegranate seeds in a Vinaigrette dressing. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be going back again for another delicious burger.

I went for a lunch here and was very happy to see how many Vegetarian options there were, it wasn't just a mushroom replacement burger. The food was delicious but don't rate the service, we weren't allowed to sit where we wanted as apparently another table was coming but they didn't appear the whole meal. The service was average and the restaurant was nice and clean apart from feeling like they have squeezed as many tables as they can in so it felt a bit cramped and that we had no room.

I went to lunch today with my wife , I was pleasantly surprised to see few selections of veggie burgers on the menu & one vegan . When we ordered , the burger came in good time , hot and tasty . We were very pleased with the service and the atmosphere , friendly staff too .I would recommend it .

Having not been to GBK since my days in Chiswick many years ago - and now a visiting Kiwi, had to go. Portions smaller than 8 years ago :) but still great food. Own brew beer and a burger, what more do you need!

I walked by GBK last night and looked at the menu in the window hoping that they had some type of Vegan option - and they did! I ordered the Hippy Dippy burger and the chunky, skin-on fries for take-away. Thought I wasn't sitting there for more then 5 minutes, the manager came out and apologized that my food was taking longer to make and offered me a free drink. Not even 15 minutes in total I was on my way with a second order of their skinny fries on the house. AND the burger was amazing! A few suggestions: I was not sure if the fries were Vegan (often fries have milk powder or egg wash for coloring). I do wish the sides were also labeled as the staff did not know the answer and had to look it up. Also not sure if it was because they were in a hurry to get the order to me, but the chunky fries had absolutely no salt and no packets were provided in the take-away bag. Overall highly impressed and intend to go back for a second round before my week-long visit is over. THANK YOU for offering a VG option!

Went here for lunch with my daughter on Friday. We were quickly shown to our table. After ordering and paying at the counter our drinks arrived almost immediately and our burgers followed soon afterwards. We did have to ask twice for our 'fizz' to be refilled. We had Major Tom and a Camembert burgers, sweet potato fries and onion rings. All very tasty.

We have been here before and visited other GBKs, but I really feel the staff have made this one their own, rather than just another chain restaurant. All the staff are very friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious, some may say it is expensive, but you get what you pay for! The manageress noticed that we had recently just got married and offered us a free drink to say congratulations - so thoughtful and attentive - thank you! Looking forward to our next visit!

I don’t get it. This place is new and you would expect simply the best service ever! Well it’s OK, but certainly not anything to rave about. The burger was really nice, great proper beef patty, really enjoyed it. The skinny chips are ridiculously thin but that is a personal opinion, I would prefer chips with a bit more substance. I did not enjoy the coleslaw. Will try it again in fairness they have just opened so probably finding their feet.

Lunchtime visit as my Son recommended we give it a try. It was a warm day so it was nice to be able to sit outside and eat.Placed our orders and it was also nice to be offered a free bottle of ice cold filtered water.There is a great selection of burgers with several toppings and sauces with plenty of choice for sides and different fries. And the burgers are cooked to your own taste.The Skinny fries are great and are truly Skinny fries. Both of our burgers were really great and were cooked exactly as requested. Service was fine, although you don't wait to place your order, you place your order at the desk and pay before you eat. So you do half the job yourself. Which becomes an issue when you look at the bill and it says at the bottom "service not included" So do I give myself half the tip.Joking aside I would most definitely recommend a visit before you opt for the obvious alternative with the Golden arches, and other establishments in Staines.These Burgers are Proper burgers and well worth the difference in price.Treat yourself to a freshly prepared burger cooked to your liking served in on a plate with a Knife and Fork. With bottles of sauce rather than sachets.It may have been my first visit but will most certainly not be my last.
