Nice place to eat a tasty and very good hamburger. Chips very also very good. Wine is so far too expensive and loww quality. The final price is so far too expensive for what you get, especially if you had 12.5% of service fee. Really! 12.5% for the service????

Gbk is always a great place to eat, a bit on the expensive side but nice none the less. Place is good very close to Waterloo station nice seating and very clean.

I don't know where to start! We've eaten here dozens of times with my girlfriend, but this is definitely the last one. We had noticed a bad drop the previous time, but now they are really in the abyss. We notice at the entrance some promotions that the waiters (or rather people disoriented without management) have not even illustrated us, we notice heavy changes in the menu, and especially the soda on tap (one of the most horrible things for me), slow and chaotic service, the waiters allergic to the tray, our table in the middle (it did not exist) just before the bathroom, not commentable, the dryest meat ever, chips very dry and old, all tasteless and with smaller portions. The final mockery then on the bill (which we paid without protesting in full), my order corresponded 100% to a promotion that was not applied and even the order of my girlfriend could be done as a promotion (if it had been explained to us). So you decided to take an extra 15 pounds today and lose two trusted customers forever. This is when there are too many head offices and too much incompetence, people sitting down to decide absurd policies and no one cooking and serving to an acceptable standard.

Has room for changes i have been coming here for a while, the service is polite and friendly. There have been some changes in the menu which is really annoying because it had become more like other burger spots. it has nice seats which are generally clean and food come pretty quick but toilets are sometimes out of soap

Incredible place to eat hamburgers, very good value for money, and very friendly and attentive staff.

Last time when I went to this place was wow feeling, and now feel the wow gone and just another burger place. Fresh homemade lemonade was not freshly squeezed. The lemon juice tasted as old, may be a day or two days, can feel the bitter off taste. The chips were soft and soggy mixed with crispy bits. The burger patty was well cooked. Bap was ok but small size. The onion ring were good thou.

Food was really delicious and the £9.95er was very good value for money! The only negative was there was no music playing which I found strange but was nice and warm and staff were friendly

This is the place to go if you are looking for tasty messy, saucy and delicious burger and if you pair it with some loaded fries you have a feast. The staff was very friendly. After a long day of walking and sight seeing this meal was exactly what my body and soul needed. Loved every bite.

Food in general was good and tasty, there are a few things I would avoid. Milkshakes are full od sugar and there is nothing fresh about them so unless you want a cup of sugar avoid. The loaded fry were dry and greasy. Burgers are good and the staff were nice.

Me and my family usually come to this spot every year for birthdays and celebrations, it’s become like a tradition. The food is amazing and most importantly the staff. A young man called Gordon has been truly kind to me and my family, he has been very friendly and welcoming to us and has provided great customer service. What a great place to come! We were also disappointed to see that there are no more sweet potato fries it was our favourite side.

Manager is a joke. Food was fine, but cold chips, told 1 min re-fire and 20 min later nothing. Said I want refund on the chips and he said for what, as he totally forgot about them

Tasty burgers and milkshakes, friendly staff. Unfortunately, they downsized the menu and many of my favourites are out (like blue cheese burger, sweet potato fries, halloumi and chicken strips). The menu is not as attractive as it used to be for sure. Also the wait time can be long even when the place is quiet.

Even the restaurant was 70% empty, we were waiting for burgers over an hour, we we forced to leave a restaurant to find something to eat on another place. You are prioritising delivery orders and ignoring orders in restaurants, keeping your customers in the restaurant as hostages while they are waiting for an hour or longer. Shame on restaurant management, you are treating your customers so badly. Employees were apologising and were polite, there is massive lack of Managament here, I am wondering does Managament exist at all.

It takes them ages to bring the food after we placed the order, which the place was almost empty.

The normal blue cheese burger is gone from the menu and the smash burgers unfortunately aren't worth the cost for me. Needs seasoning or something.

Visited gbk due to nostalgic visits from my last trip to London circa 2007... and it was ok. I remember being able to get burgers made from meat other than beef but currently only beef and chicken are options. I ordered the beef smash burger, my wife for the blue smash burger. Both were good and bonus points for a wider not taller burger. Onion rings were great, fries too.

Very tasty burgers, but it is debatable whether they’re worth the steep price considering the size. Costs about £12-20 pound for a single burger excluding sides.

They increased their prices, reduced quality, removed lunch menu plus long wait times. Good thing Popeyes opened beside them because they’ll never be seeing me again.

While the food at this restaurant was commendable, the service was nothing short of atrocious. Upon entering, I was left standing without any greeting or assistance, despite the restaurant being nearly empty. Instead of doing their jobs, both waitresses were glued to their phones behind the cashier (check your CCTV if you don't believe me around 5pm on Tuesday 13th Aug). Anyway when I was finally seated, a young waitress in an Adidas top approached with an obvious bad attitude. Her rudeness and sarcasm were apparent when I asked a simple question about whether my chips would come with ketchup and mayonnaise or if there was an additional charge. The menu mentioned a fee for a special type of mayonnaise, and I wanted clarification. Her reaction made it clear that she not only dislikes her job but also has no interest in providing decent service. It’s baffling how someone with such a poor attitude was hired in the first place. Whoever conducted her interview clearly failed to assess her suitability for a customer-facing role. This experience has ensured that I won't be returning, despite the quality of the food. The management seriously needs to reevaluate their hiring and training practices if they want to keep customers coming back.

The food is fresh and of high quality as well as having a great flavour. There are also options for vegetarian and vegan food. The staff is polite, smiling, kind and attentive to your needs. The place is welcoming.

Awful service with unhelpful staff. After asking them to change us to another table because it was cold at the entrance, they refused to accommodate us. Bearing in mind that the restaurant must have around 25-30 tables and only two were occupied, it really seems that they couldn't care less about their customers. On top of that, when ordering cider from their 'incredible' cider and beer section on the menu I got a 'we don't have cider', and when asking for any alternative for celiacs I received no answer. Plus a burguer for £13 without any chips or salad!! You better off going to MC Donald's and get the same service for half the price.

Amazing dining experience the food was delicious and cooked perfectly. The cleanliness of this restaurant was also amazing. In particular Emma made the experience one to remember as she always had a smile of her face and was friendly, and a super nice person. Her kid friendless and her customer service is brilliant great shout out to her.

The burgers were okay. The staff seemed to have mixed up our orders and the "well done" patty arrived pink inside, while another "medium well" patty was fully cooked.

My son and I ate at the Waterloo location of Gourmet Burger Kitchen in July 2024. Fron the outside, it didn't look particularly impressive, or even open, but inside the staff were friendly and the food was awesome. My son enjoyed his vegetarian burger (although it wasn't his most favorite in the UK, it was good), and the Korean chicken sandwich was one of the best chicken sandwiches I have ever eaten. I was actually shocked to realize that GBK is a chain because the sandwich was that good. Sides do need to be ordered separately (my son and I split an order if fries). I definitely recommend this place for a sandwich and a pint of Britiah pale ale.

I ordered a vegan burger (California?) and it was fine, wasn’t spiced very well so it didn’t really impress. Milkshake was very good tho. For this price it could be definitely much better. Service very polite.

The GBK on Waterloo road was amazing, the service was so brilliant and the staff were so pleasant and helpful. Especially the asian gentleman with the glasses. He was so pleasant!!! Thank you so much GBK I will definitely eat there again!!!!

This is a massive improvement on what me and my partner experienced last year. I was greeted by the Manager who actually let us choose our seats (something the previous manager didn’t allow for some reason) but the food was flavoursome I actually finished my partners fries that says a lot. But this is how I remember GBK back in day when it was in Clapham Common 😍😍

I ordered the classic chicken burger and Obe the manager really took care of my order personally and more than that scrumptious burger, it was his service that elevated my experience at GBK .

Been to gbk Waterloo on 2 different occasions on both occasions the manager (with glasses) was present and greeted us as soon as we entered the establishment he was very welcoming and made our time at gbk very warming thw food and service was very good thw only reason I haven't given 5 stars as there are a couple of things that need to be improved

This place offers decent burgers. I didn't find them to be especially yummy, but it definitely was a decent burger.

So disappointing Ordered blue cheese burger (medium rare) and a bacon and cheese burger (medium) When the burgers arrived the beef patties was in the wrong burgers. I believe they accidentally mixed the two beef burgers up when they where making up the burger Requested the medium to be redone to medium rare and this then came back bloody. I brought this up to the manager and he was insistent that this is standard of their medium rare ( even although the medium rare initially was cooked perfectly) He refused to make another burger for me and did not even offer the chicken options. I found him very unprofessional, uncourteous and impolite. Just disappointed that they got it wrong in the first place as the first cooking was done perfectly just in the wrong burger. Will not be visiting again

Came in for the lunchtime burger and fries offer. I swear burgers are getting smaller. The burger itself was a little overcooked. The fries are tiny. It was basic and tasted okay. Service itself was good and speedy.

Food was great but service not the best. Inattentive staff which I would appreciate if it was busy but on a Tuesday night it was pretty quiet. I have been here before and it has been okay so I guess it depends on when you go.

I don’t usually take time out of my day to leave reviews, but had to make an exception for the “meal” we have just been served at GBK Waterloo. We ordered strips and several sides off the menu only to be told some time later that the strips had run out and they could only provide wings. When the food came they got the order wrong and we had to return some parts. My truffle fries were absolutely swimming in sauce, I could barely see the fries and the coleslaw was a bowl of dry diced veg!!!! I’m no culinary master but I’m pretty certain it should have some moisture content. The chicken wings were the WORST IVE EVER HAD!!!! Greasy as hell, still pink in parts and several of them had strange rubber like veins flapping around. Neither my wife or I could stomach a single bite. On top of all this they then tried to charge us for extra sides we never ordered and one of the “free” milkshakes we had despite being told by the waitress that they would be free using the app. 10 mins and lots of huffing and puffing by the manager and we still felt violated for having to pay a single penny. Do yourself a favor, avoid this place like the plague. (Praying we aren’t sat on the toilet all night)!!!!!!!!

Decent food, not my cup of tea but the qaulity was good, i say flavour is subjective, so its not really fair to judge just on flavour. The staff have a strong accent, like german or something so i had to ask them to repeat every sentence because i truely couldn’t understand them the first time, and the atmosphere is pretty cool, probably the best thing about it.

The best burger I ever had. Was cooked perfectly. The chef that cooked it needs a raise. Will come again

Fantastic family burger meal out last night, before a special treat West End show. We just love GBK. Not been for a while, and I’m not a frequent reviewer, but GBK Waterloo smashed the food and service yesterday. We were looked after by Aguilero (spelling?) the manager, who was super friendly - but not OTT - and gave helpful explanations for several of GBK’s more unusual sauces. Our burgers and a chicken dish were cooked to perfection. Great food, perfect service and lovely shakes. The Malbec was pretty decent too. Great team delivery. Many thanks🙌

It was delicious, the staff was friendly, and the store was spacious!

I cannot have dairy of soya, so I asked about what was available for me on the menu - so I was told to get the chicken burger but without the bun,- naked which comes with salad and slaw, then I was told I also cannot have the slaw and also cannot have the fries. So all I had was a sad looking piece of thin chciken and some old looking lettuce leaves - no other salad just some leaves and I was charged £10.50 for this dish.

Food and staff were phenomenal but the place smelled a bit bad I got used to it quickly though it must be a mop and/or washing cloth related smell

Tried out the lunch deal and ordered the chicken burger and skinny fries. Chicken was actually a decent chunk and moist, but the batter was a let down, it was too thick. Fries were nice and crispy. I also had the chicken wings and vegan milkshake. Chicken wings was moist and batter was crunchy but found bits of the batter chewy and hard… Loved the vegan milkshake, creamy and you wouldn’t of thought it was vegan. Service was friendly and efficient.

A lunch time deal worth going to lunch for! As always gbk fries are on point!

really poor experience at the start as someone (who i believe is the general manager) told us we could have a booth if we waited for 20 minutes but almost an hour passed and they completely forgot about us. when we proceeded to ask him about our table he said this is our table and ignored us after. very disappointed with this but we had a very good experience with our waiter shadab who was attentive to our concerns and very sympathetic - he turned our evening around after we had a poor experience initially so we thank him for that.

Nothing to distinguish this place from any other burger joint. The food taste fine. Grilled halloumi cheese portion was quite small. Fries weren’t really salty. Table was quite wet from previous wiping when we were sat down. The waitress proactively brought some drawing and coloring pens for our young daughter, which was nice.

Very attentive staff, good food, can recommend

Not sure why you would put a seal on a bag that still has MASSIVE GAPS down each side so really not worth it in terms of making it tamper proof. I found motor oil!? Or dirt!? On a chips bag that looked like it had seen better days. The other chips, NOT THERE. No way of knowing who’s at fault as again the bag was not SECURE with the health and safety of the meal in mind. When will restaurants just implement this SIMPLE procedure consistently? I’m sure it makes no odds to your company but I won’t spend money in this place ever again. When you feel unable to enjoy or even eat the meal you paid for, because your not sure if your order has been tampered with is upsetting and I was left hungry. Really disappointed as care and freshness has in the past been satisfactory. Really disappointed.
