Gordon Street Coffee in Glasgow City

Solía frecuentar esta cafetería regularmente cuando trabajaba en Union Street y no he estado en ella durante bastante tiempo. Realmente decepcionado ya que compré un café grande y me dieron una taza que se consideraría pequeña en cualquier otra cafetería; en realidad tuve que preguntar y dijo que sí, es grande con una cara recta. Sin embargo, no parecía el gran tamaño que se exponía en la caja. Además, ya no aceptan efectivo y han añadido una pequeña propina del 4 % para sí mismos en cada transacción. No tenía intención de dejar propina para un café para llevar, pero saben que la gente no cuestionará esto en la caja. Me encantaría decir que el café en sí estaba redimiendo, pero era débil y tibio y me costó encontrar un agitador en el mostrador donde está el azúcar y tuve que pedir uno en la caja. La única razón por la que no di una estrella es porque el personal era amable.

Qué lugar agradable para la gente - mirando, justo al lado de la entrada principal en la estación central de Glasgow. Excelente café, excelente selección de panadería (no había visto una galleta Empire durante muchos años y no podía resistirse) - todo traído a nuestra mesa exterior con una sonrisa amable. Gran comienzo de nuestro viaje!

Gordon street coffee fuera de la estación central de Glasgow es el mejor lugar de café en Glasgow No puedo hablar de ello lo suficiente a la gente porque todo es perfecto, desde las diversas bebidas hasta la hermosa comida, todo es para morir por mi habitual. Entro por un pequeño moca y es encantador, muy afrutado y delicioso y agradable y el comienzo perfecto para cualquier día, especialmente porque no está lejos de donde me bajo de mi autobús en Glasgow.

Me topé con él, pero el café que tomé, (subrayo que no soy un gran fanático del café, ya que Mellow Birds suele ser mi primer puerto de escala!) fue brillante. Pedí un Americano estándar de la ciénaga y fue increíble. Incluso me llevé un paquete de granos de café a casa (‘House Roast’) Pruébalo si el café no es tu escenario.

Nos detuvimos aquí antes de subir a nuestro tren para tomar café y pasteles. El café caliente era sin duda uno de los mejores que tuvimos en Escocia, y nos alegramos de que también tenían café helado, que también era bueno! Los cruasanes que comimos también estaban buenos, pero el toque de canela podría haber usado un poco más de canela y azúcar, pero eso es solo mi gusto, no estuvo mal. La mejor opción en Glasgow centro!

Cafés mezclados por expertos directamente de su propio tostador. El americano, café con leche y capuchino, fueron una delicia y refrescante para tomar. Los pasteles de zanahoria y bollos de canela, estaban deliciosos.

I’ve been frequenting GSC for a few years now. In fact, when I worked full-time in the city centre I would purchase a flat white daily. I have recently returned from an extended absence from Glasgow, so I was excited to enjoy my first GSC flat white in over 12 months. My partner and I decided to pop in and purchase an americano and flat white. I have to say I was shocked at the £8.80 total. Sure, we opted for the Glasgow Roast and the flat white had soya milk, but to pay almost £9 for two coffees (one without milk) is crazy. I’ve just returned from New Zealand, and the most I paid for a soya flat white was $6 (£3) and like GSC, kiwis know how to make a decent flat white!

Had baguette, iced coffee and a sweet. Only negative was the white chocolate & pecan cookie. Baguette & coffee were excellent as was the service and general atmosphere. I work in Hospitality & this is easily the best coffee I've had in City Centre.

Visited here twice during our stay in Glasgow and loved the coffee both times. Sat in the first time service was great, the girls working were amazing, they worked well together which was lovely to see. Highly recommend here.

Stopped in for a coffee. The coffee was good, the service was friendly, the interior is interesting. There’s limited seating and it’s upstairs, but that’s not a complaint.

Superb coffee, amazing vegan baked goods. Excellent service and ambience. Handy train timetables on display too. Even though they were very busy, I got my order nice and quickly.

Stopped here en route to Ibrox stadium, as I had to visit the ticket station at GC. The order arrived to me relatively quickly - I estimate around 5-10 minutes from payment. The staff were friendly and polite. Must admit, it was a fine ‘Cappuccino’ I had, certainly one of the best i’ve tasted in Glasgow to date. I also opted for an average ‘Chicken Sandwich’ (toasted) - slightly overdone and not overly tasty. That aside, it was actually a good meal. Wish there was more seating upstairs however - I ended up at a table next to the door and together with the seat type, it wasn’t sympathetic towards a 6’ 3” adult. On the premise of ‘Coffee’ alone, this place is well worth a visit!

Nipped in for a coffee and ended up being about 15/20 minutes just for two takeaway americanos. Other people after us were served before us. Not suitable for a on-the-go coffee. Would’ve left if we hadn’t already paid.

Amazing coffee, great ambience, warm and friendly service and a most excellent music selection. If only we could kick out the chains from all our transport hubs and local gems like this would become the norm.

Popped in for a sit down breakfast upstairs with a coffee and sandwich. Ordered the square sausage and bacon. It was very, very tasty. The bacon was cooked perfectly, which is so rare. I will definitely return here if I need a quick breakfast in Glasgow.

A popular coffee shop, serving their own roasted coffee blends. The interior is small but has nice decor, with a few tables/seats upstairs if you want to drink-in.

Excellent coffee and service! This little coffee shop is tucked away in the corner of one of the entrances to central train station. It has a great atmosphere and tasty treats and snacks to go along with your coffee of choice.

Coffee was tasty enough, good location as I sometimes need to go seeking out somewhere, a bit pricey for Glasgow though...

I decided to pop in and give this place a try when I was on a trip into Glasgow, the place is lovely and the staff were super friendly and all seemed well, I ordered an oat milk latte to take away as I am lactose intolerant. Upon ordering I double checked with the girl at the till for my coffee to be with oat milk and she understood, I happened to watch the other girl who was making the coffees steam some regular cows milk which I watched her pour into the metal steamer, at the time I assumed this milk was for another customer but then watched her pour this into the coffee she then said was for me, I checked with that girl if it was oatmilk to which she looked at her colleague who then confirmed to me yes it was oat milk. I was sceptical but decided to trust the baristas and head off with the coffee, once the coffee had cooled down and I could taste it there was no doubt in my mind that it was in fact regular cows milk and not oat as I had requested, I ended up binning the coffee and buying another elsewhere, I hate complaining but it was a big Dissapointed for me that I didn't get the coffee I had ordered and was then lied to due to miss communication between staff, it has put me off returning but maybe I'll give them a second chance sometime.

If you need a cup of tasty coffee and some simple snack in the morning, this is the right place. It is located next to the main train station. The line is fast, however the waiting time could be up to 5-8 min depending on the number of people.
