Bang average coffee. Congratulations to the management for having the nerve to add a service charge for takeaway orders. We will not be back.

This little Cafe is just over the road from The Dungeon and we found we had arrived almost an hour early for our slot so popped in here to defrost with a mint tea and hot chocolate. I was pleased to learn that they're not only a cafe but a roastery. Hubby loves his coffee so I purchased a bag of their Glasgow Roast beans with hints of Wine, Molasses and Dark Chocolate, I can't understand why they're only selling Glasgow Roast in Edinburgh but there you go. Anyway Hubby really enjoyed his coffee. The atmosphere was a bit flat and the staff weren't 100% on the ball but it was pleasant enough.

Coffee and food was ok. Staff looked miserable and the atmosphere was soulless. Couldn’t wait to eat up and get out to be honest.

Very friendly staff, good food and coffee. Perfect place to wait for the train. I had the double bacon roll and it was delicious!

The coffee is very nice but the staff make it extra special - never had a bad customer service experience...or a bad coffee for that matter. Very much one of my go to places if I need cheering up or a destress from work

One of the best, if not the best, spot for excellent coffee in Edinburgh. Their selection of beans is really good. Their staff are lovely. I would say though that if you order online for either delivery and pick up from them the wait time is really long.

Really good coffee but you can get good coffee in a lot of places...what sets this one apart is the great staff. Steve, Linzie, Star and Denise deserve special mention. Worth going slightly out of my way for the service alone

Visited after stopping in at the City Arts Centre as we were walking by and I’m so glad we did! Just excellent coffee (flat white & a latte) and all the staff were so friendly!!! Definitely be back when we’re next in this part of town!

We really enjoyed our cappuccinos and the blueberry croissant on our way to City Art Centre, which is just a few steps down the street.

Located adjacent to the Market Street Hotel, Gordon Street Coffee offers dining in and taking out. My first visit will lead to future ones, based on the scrumptious-tasting blueberry croissant and delicious iced latte I took back to enjoy in my room at Market Street Hotel. There are several additional pastry options I want to sample. Note: cashless so bring your credit card.

Excellent, smooth Americano & Cappuccino. (We are self-proclaimed coffee snobs.) We are looking forward to coming here again.

Top rated coffee for all tastes. Centrally located close to Edinburgh Waverley and Royal Mile. Coffee is roasted in house and offers a selection of take home beans/grounds. Worth seeking out.

Loved this restaurant and its people. We dined there 3 times in 6 days! Outstanding food and food selection, friendly and helpful servers, great location on Royal Mile. Owner Gordon is a scratch golfer and outstanding, 40-year restaurant owner.

We had 2 Oat Flat Whites. The Oat milk was Scottish and local apparently. Very different from what I have had before but really brought out the flavour of the cofffe, which was just the kick we needed to start out festival day. We will defo return when back in Edinburgh

The Gordon Street Coffee in Edinburg we can just recommend. The coffee is our taste and the scones with the own made jam are awesome.

Looking for a small place, thankful for not being overwhelming. Very good customer service. We tried the coffee (Americano) and sandwiches, they were both delicious and we were served quickly. Washroom (toilet) was very clean. Extra points for having some tables outside so we can taking in some fresh air on our first trip ever to Edinburgh.

Staff were all very friendly and cheery - obviously looks like a fab working environment. My sandwich was simple but effective and freshly made in front of me. Also great coffee (and they offer alternative milks).
