My favourite place to eat before any flight.

Food average e but super expensive , the bill was overpriced and they added on other items. There are better value restaurants!!!

Tiana greeted us at the door, such a lovely person, and showed us to our table. Margorzatzka (?) waited on us in a very efficient and friendly fashion. Altogether a most pleasant experience, apart from the bill, which we found to be a bit expensive for the food and wine that we had had. R

You have to pay £1.50 PER PERSON just for the table and the 15% tip is mandatory. All this for subpar food, don't recommend.

I really enjoyed how quick my meal came to me and the presentation of it all was unique. Best burger I’ve had ever since coming to the UK

Expensive for a breakfast and a coffee (£30) incl service charge - service is excellent though and food is of a good quality. Typical in a restaurant - everything else is an add on. I was offered toast but that was extra. I would come here again because it is quiet and out of the way.

Mariano was very helpful and the food was so delicious!

Really top notch for airport food. The eggs Benedict were perfectly executed. If you are ordering hot drinks, you might as well get something fancy like a flat white, since it costs the same as tea. Not terribly pricey—tea+eggs benny was 20£. Fair, given that you are able to sit for a bit. Probably better value than a lounge.

Great food, order just eggs Benedict and mint tea, it was tasty, and all the other courses looked good too! Unfortunately they are serving only breakfast until 12:00 although it's an aorport and people are hungry for lunch at 11:00 too... *They force you to pay a very high service fee of 15 percents and another one pound donation (without even specifyng where). Payment via QR code, but in order to remove the service and donation, which are very annoying, you have to call the waiter and ask specifically,which can create discomfort. I hope they stop this The place is very nice and clean ---------------------------------------

Great food and excellent service from Mariano

Wow, the service from Mariano was amazing!! :) The food was great, genuinely the best English breakfast I've had thus far in my life and I am British born. Haha. Thanks again Mariano!

Chris was fantastic! Very attentive and recommended the Butter Chicken Curry , which was excellent! Very nice way to start our trip!

Perfectly welcoming spot to decompress after airport security. Staff are absolutely lovely.

Yummy and quick service, we always come here in Heathrow. Great view and properly good food. Much quieter and more spacious than the downstairs restaurants.

As frequent travellers via T5, we always head to Gordon Ramsay after surviving the stress of security. It’s light, bright and clean. The food is freshly prepared and a high standard. It’s not inexpensive but this means that people who eat there are more interested in a quality experience (rather than piling their plates for free in a lounge). The Take Off menu gives you a dish and a nice cocktail for a reasonable price. Oswald is a wonderful waiter and it’s always nice to see him and be remembered! Vegan, gluten free options easily available.

Reasonable atmosphere but food a bit disappointing and tables arent cleared quickly. The muffin that the eggs Benedict came on was totally dry, it needs some butter or maybe some hollandaise underneath the ham

Reason for Service stats is bcoz when asked for hot coffee I was told I added cold milk that’s why coffee is cold. I should’ve asked for hot milk - I didn’t know. No gesture of getting me hot coffee.

Food is fantastic everything I would expect from Gordon Ramsey.

Great breakfast - eggs Benedict (large)

When flying back to Switzerland each year, our flight layovers in London. Without question we return back to this restaurant for the good eats, service and atmosphere. No better way to feed the soul after a long flight.

The food was fantastic, and Oswald was a stellar waiter that made me feel welcome and well looked after.

Horrible service. Waited ages and then another table that arrived after me was taken the order before me. Wasted precious time and left hungry. Will not be back. Gordon, get your house in order.

Years later it is still great food. What a gem of a restaurant in an airport. I had the Benedict and it was delicious.A few years back I had a tartar here that was also good, I’d highly recommend both!

Only quibble is the cost. But lovely food and ingredients.

I ordered two things: Idiot Sandwich, with a side of Mac&Cheese. The Idiot Sandwich was good, although a bit too burnt on the sides. It was good even warmed up later in the day when I arrived to my destination - thanks to the waiter for bringing me a takeaway box. The fries that come with the sandwich are FENOMENAL - some of the best I've ever had. The Mac&Cheese though, disappointing to say the least - unnecessarily oily, the pasta was not the right kind, the cheese not tasty. I don't suggest ordering this side dish. I would recommend trying it if you're in LHR, however I would go back only if no other options are available.

Waiter and maitre di were fantastic!

Initially good as , after fighting through the congested security, I saw it was practically empty. Shown to a so-so seat without any warmth and then had to call out and wave to get service ( her back was turned whilst doing nothing forever). Food was outstanding, glass of water was lukewarm (why didn't I call the waiter? See above). Asked for the bill and was advised to use the QR code on the tablet: " just take a picture on your phone ". Nope, that's not working, can I just pay normally please? So, food 5* , service? Does anyone care anymore?

Unexpectedly good dining experiences, to be honest. Most Gordon Ramsay's restaurants couldn't carry the big name for long; one of them served me burnt bitter cabbage, and I avoided all restaurants carrying Gordon Ramsay's brand since. But Heathrow T5 is kind of small and with very limited choices... I dined in without much expectation. But the menu surprised me a little, offering steamed fish and the usuals such as steak fries. Loved them all. I am a regular customer now, I suppose. If they can't uphold the standards, I'll update this review. Until then, I'm happy to see that there is quality food served fairly quickly and with nice presentations at the same time at the airport.

Caesar salad had a bit too much dressing but was very good. Small size was still a large portion! Tagliatelle was good but needed lots of salt.

If you like hot food served cold, this is the place to go.

An oasis in the middle of a busy T5. Lovely breakfast, well looked after by Mary whose warm welcome and lovely smile was like sunshine on an otherwise foggy morning at Heathrow.

Amazing food. Lovely athmosphere and surprisingly decent prices that what I expected.

After finding out that my flight was delayed 7 hours, it seemed to me that a good option was to eat something more special and probably heavier than I would have liked. I tried the prawn curry which was very good but I expected more. I admit that I was walking for a couple of hours afterwards. Professional service and a good experience in the space, something as simple as seating people spaced apart if possible.

Great airport for experience. Beautiful location, friendly and attentive service, excellent food. I was tempted to try the 'idiot sandwich,' but opted instead for the burger. Strong burger, cheesy and moist, but a little over cooked. Still recommend!

Amazing food and great service from Oswald!

I'll start with the positives, the food, (both produce and portions) were superb. Bacon, sausage, eggs, salmon, avocado, bread was all excellent quality cooked extremely professionally. The negative was the service and a general lack of attention during what was an early and quiet start to their day. Plenty of staff - but not a single one of them had "eyes on the room"...you essentially had to catch their eye or ask if someone could come over (and we were sat at the counter!). My partner paid the bill (including the service charge which they slip-in) I wished she hadn't - I'd have crossed it out and sent the bill back. Considering that their prices are pretty punchy - it was a bit of a disappointment.

Always worth a stop before a long-haul flight! Good service, good food and calm energy

Xavier was appropriately attentive and knowledgeable about the food and how it was cooked, when we asked. Enjoyed talking with him early in the morning. My sister and I shared an English breakfast and it was delicious, just enough to get us going before our flight.

Nice place with decent food however they charge you twice for a service charge and make it difficult to remove it from the bill. Not cool.

Nice food, good service and great quiet place!

I ordered steak frites, medium. The meat was chewy, rather rare. The fries were good, but very expensive as I could not eat the meat.

Food was beyond mediocre for the prices they are charging. Got a bill for £70 for a burger and pasta which frankly tasted no better than anything off the high street maxing out at £30-£40. Food wasn’t bad per se but far off the price tag. 1 star for the ridiculous pricing, mediocre food and unspectacular service. Wouldn’t recommend it beyond anything else at terminal 5. Shame as the other GR restaurants tend to offer food that’s in keeping with the price point. And I can’t help but see the irony in GR criticising restaurants on kitchen nightmares for charging $30 for mediocre burgers when Plane food does just that.

Full english breakfast was good quality. Nice to see you have added beans now. Adding a hash brown would get you closer to a £20 breakfast.

Do NOT eat here. £19 for 6 pieces of California sushi roll which I don’t mind paying high prices for good food but then I got the bill. £1 donation added, a mandatory £1.50 cover charge which is “company policy” when I asked and an automatic 15% gratuity. Service was good but adding the above to the total on any bill is just pulling a fast one on people. I like to sit at the bar with a bartender but it’s just servers walking around bringing drinks out of the back. Gratuity I’m fine with, automatic donation and a £1.50 “cover charge” when the restaurant was half empty is laughable. Plenty of nicer places in T5.

Nowhere near meeting expectations ! Chicken wings starter a sticky mess with sauce totally overpowering the chicken. Tagliatelli with Waygu and Tomato sauce utterly tasteless. Bill came with 'optional' charity donation already printed and included. Although the location was nice and staff friendly and obliging, I will not be returning.
