Gordon Ramsay Plane Food in Hillingdon

We had breakfast at the airport very early today. The resto was a site for sore eyes after just coming through security. We had a lovely table in the bright airy room. Our server Xavier was so friendly and nice and assisted us with the menu and we had a very welcome experience. The food was terrific. We should have this resto in Toronto airport.

I love Gordon Ramsey's food and have enjoyed visiting a couple of his restaurants. But this was slightly disappointing. The starter (Salmon Skewer) was fine, although slightly overcooked for my taste. The lobster linguine tasted too much of chili and tomato and too little of lobster. The Sticky Toffee Pudding didn't really resemble anything like pudding or sticky toffee - more like a cake swimming in a lot of syrup, althoigh the accompanying clotted cream icecream was very nice. I had expected more.

My husband and I often look for a cozy restaurant that welcomes us very well...in this restaurant we find everything we look for in a restaurant! A great and different experience with very good food and great service from Lidia!

We had a great breakfast. We had breakfast and my scrambled eggs were perfect. We were together with our kids and the service was fantastic. Mario served us and he was efficient, friendly and very helpful (giving us directions and tips for the airport). Will definitely be coming back!

The food is alright, but overpriced even considering it's a restaurant in an airport. The server Lidiana contributed much to uplift my experience there. It's almost like buying some peace and a roomy spot to relax when the rest of the airport is so overcrowded.

After a red-eye, with a layover towards another destination, the breakfast menu and service here hit the spot today. Made a positive impression on our first Heathrow Airport experience.

The service at the restaurant was quite slow. Although we were seated promptly, it took around 15 minutes for someone to come and take our food order. Furthermore, the food service was also slow. The breakfast was quite greasy, and the hot chocolate tasted like it came from a vending machine. The atmosphere was relaxed and conducive for working while eating. However, considering that it was a Gordon Ramsay food chain, I expected much better service. The price we paid did not seem justified by the quality of the food.

In general, it was a positive experience. The pricing seemed slightly inflated, likely due to the branding associated with it.

Bledi was very helpful in sharing recommendations that best aligned with my preferences. Very much appreciated.

I tried Golden Ramsay's plane food and I am impressed with the taste, yet be prepared for a leisurely serving pace. Travelers should ensure ample time for the gastronomic journey, as the delightful flavors are worth the wait. The burger was juicy )

Excellent butter chicken curry and a stylish place for an airport with crisp service

Was hoping for something better. Was ok. Lots of added fees.

Mariano was our server and he was excellent. Really attentive and the food was brought out very quickly. The food was very tasty but the portion size of the halloumi for the veggie breakfast was very limited.

The food was pretty average but the service was good. My waiter Max had the relaxed competency of someone working in hospitality for many years. I noted similarly positive interactions from the other wait staff

Overpriced and food isn’t that tasty. Entire meal the server did not check on me to see how the meal was or how I was doing. Watch out for hidden “cover charge” and “optional service gratuity” that appears on bill

First of all. I love Gordon Ramsay which pains me to have to write this review. I enjoy his other restaurants but this one was quite different. 1. I was handed a menu that included lunch and breakfast options. The breakfast section states "served between xx:xx and xx:xx" I interpreted it as breakfast items are offered during these times, but the rest of the menu is available anytime. It was roughly 10:30 am. I ordered lunch food and was talked to like I was a total idiot by the server like it's so absurd that I would attempt to order lunch food from a menu that is 75% lunch items. Advice: separate your menus - during breakfast hand a breakfast menu out so the customer doesn't think everything is available. 2. The English muffins are not great. I ordered a sausage breakfast sandwich that had comically large buns, 2 bangers cut in half and piled with an egg. A reasonable person could not fit this in their mouth. I figured they would use circular shaped sausage patties instead of 2 bangers. The English muffins are extremely bready and dry. I would highly suggest altering the recipe or ensuring these are more adequately buttered. 3. I believe the full English breakfast could stand to be a little more generous for the price. It does not include toast, and the toast is something like 4 pounds for 2 slices. If the portions really are set in stone, my suggestion is to serve it on smaller plates so it looks less sad. You can see on the photos on Google reviews how much space are between the items. Very stingy on food and the flavor was very average. 4. Nearly

Great Place to dine before Departure. Quick , efficient and So Tasty !! Avocado Mint Pouched Eggs + side of Mushroom it’s a must there. Service was very nice: shoutout to MARY ! Highly recommended

Great high end dining place before flight. We had the butter chicken and steak frites, as well as apple crumble for dessert. The good: 1. Delicious food - the steak and apple crumble were especially highlights! 2. Wide menu selection and drinks. 3. Nice atmosphere and seating plans, away from the busy hustle and bustle of the rest of the terminal, feels like a business class lounge. Tips for improvement: 1. we felt price-quality ratio wasnt great - very expensive, though food was good. Will cost you approx £50-60pp, though this might just be airport inflation. 2. Service could be friendlier - the waitresses who served us didnt say much and seemed a bit disinterested. 3. Avoid if in rush - service did take a while for food to come out, so only come if you have several hours to spare before your flight. Overall a solid recommendation if you have the time and money!

£51 for a burger, chips, and a couple of beers. Absolute madness.

Worst burger ever… The beef was so dry and very difficult to chew, the burger bun was very plain, cheese wasn’t properly melted. Not to mention it’s titled under “Gordon Ramsay” and charged at this price, any burger store on the market will be able to compete with this tbh. I wonder what Gordon Ramsay would say when he eats this burger lol

Gordon Ramsey should be ashamed to have his name on this. Caesar salad and pasta with Wagyu beef sauce. Zero flavor, no taste.

A truly dreadful meal The starter had way too much soy sauce in the rice and the burger was probably one of the worst I have been served Over cooked, dry and tasteless If Gordon Ramsey had been served this food he would have sent it back!!

Very good. Much better than you would expect at an airport. Server Mariano was excellent.

Gordon Ramsay is now our go to stop coming out of security. The food was delicious - I opted for the vegan plate because we were in Lent, and each item on the plate was perfectly cared for. The special treats for us were the waitstaff - Mary, who treats you with real interest in you and brings joy to the table. The other is Avinash, who was humbly behind the counter, and made us the most hilarious cortado that we did not even ask for but that my wife secretly wanted when she saw mine. He created an animal on it which lightened our weary spirits after our redeye flight. The restaurant has the best view as it's like an elevated island with glass all around and a balcony, and individual chargers at the tables. Thank you Mary and Avinash!

Very nice and well presented Eggs Benedict. The food and the drinks coming very quick with a perfect egg yolk and eggscellent hollandise sauce on the top. Love the 25min 2 course style menu offer express take off style. Reasonably priced and top quality food and service.

Watch out! They CHARGE you to use their “Save time, pay here” QR code!! You have to ask (and wait) for their card machine if you want to avoid this charge. Why are they charging you to pay?? The breakfast was good. But the sides were a rip off - £8 for a spoonful of smoked salmon? If you choose to dine here, you should look at it as paying for the ambience away from the crowds.

Unremarkable. Burger looked nice but both the buns and the meat were quite dry and was below average for the price. Chicken wings also unremarkable with a salty and sour sauce. Quick service though. … Gordon, I’m disappointed.

The burger looks beautiful, but the bread tastes very dry. The sauce on the chicken wings tastes a bit curry, salty, and not very pleasant... It doesn't suit my taste... I asked the restaurant service staff where the toilet is, and the service staff returned it I was in the wrong direction😂😂😂😂

As soon as we arrived, we informed the service that we would like quick service, the California rolls were fresh, a little more crab would have been appreciated, delicious. The lamb Rogan Josh curry and its roti bread were successful, the rice tender and well cooked, regarding the tip, I find the policy put in place unsatisfactory.

This is a great place for quality food at a reasonable price. It has a good ambience, especially as it's in an airport. Service is very good and the burger is excellent. Next time, I'll take the fish and chips!

Overall was nice, in particular the service form the staff stood out, we had a lovely lady called Mary who was amazing, however the food was average considering it had Gordon’s name to it.

Stopped in for breakfast between São Paulo and Portugal. Food was great, but I struggled to get a black “American” coffee. I had to ask 2 different waiters to get a black coffee, as at first the waitress refused to change the coffee with milk she had served us for a black coffee. You might argue that “just don’t poor in the milk” however the coffee was so small it was almost an expresso. Not what was required after a 12 hour red eye. One would expect Mr Ramsey to teach his staff how to serve the most simple of coffees… come on Gordon, shout at a few people and sort it out!

Had a "quick" version in HK Airport and were not impressed so had little expectation for the food here. BUT I was wrong! Freshly cooked dishes are so much better! Crispy chips, juicy burger and the wonderful chicken curry! Do spoil urself with the desserts here!

Very bad management. Jose is very irresponsible and left me waitng for a long time for a scheduled interview which i ended up not doing as no one came to see me. All the staff were clueless and rude.

I got the Lamb dish it was amazing and exactly what i wanted. Staff were very friendly and did a great job. I am Leaving happy and satisfied :)

During my recent visit to your Gordon Ramsey Plane Food Kitchen at LHR, I had the pleasure of dining for both breakfast and dinner due to a delay. I was particularly impressed by one of your staff members, (Bledi) who demonstrated exceptional leadership skills. His interaction with the team, ensuring they delivered the best service and experience for customers, was commendable. It was clear that he takes great pride in his work and is a true asset to your establishment. I foresee him advancing to higher roles in the near future. I would like to extend my thanks to Bledi for his outstanding service and management skills. As the owner of my own company, with a long management career and experience as a chef, I feel confident in my ability to assess and appreciate such qualities

VERY expensive toast for breakfast, but otherwise excellent experience.

Awful. They clearly forgot our order. Not the end of the world but the way they dealt with it was very poor. They promised our food would be next out. We sat for nearly 10min and watched plate after plate of what we ordered go to other tables. In the end we ran out of time and had to leave not having eaten. The manager was particularly poor and not on top of the situation at all. I would strongly recommend eating elsewhere unless you have hours and hours until your flight

Something went wrong and they forgot our order. Which is annoying but mistakes can happen; that’s fine. What wasn’t fine was how they dealt with it. After realizing that our order was forgotten I saw trays of food (and a lot of it was the same of what we ordered) being taken to other tables. Why didn’t they prioritize our order? We were in there for 40 mins and ended up leaving before the food arrived. Ten mins after saying that it’d be 5 mins more for our food to be ready, there was still no food (although other tables kept getting their food) And finally, it would have been good customer service to at least offer us another drink or a croissant while we were waiting for the food. But that didn’t happen.

Food was high quality and well cooked, but not exceptional. I ate the eggs royale and the muffin was think and a little hard. Unfortunately they only have regular, full cream milk for espresso drinks with milk. When I asked for non-fat, my server helpfully suggested I take an americano instead, which I appreciated. Magda was an excellent server, polite, efficient and helpful. The restaurant is now looking a little tired. The tables specifically are quite damaged and would benefit from being replaced. For speed and efficiency they enable check out on your phone using a QR code on the table. This is great, however the checkout automatically applies a service charge, and then on a later screen asks for a tip for your server making it at that clear that the service charge goes to the restaurant. There is then finally a payment fee added. Overall, a good, but not great experience.

Food relatively tasteless and carelessly made. Avocado was good, spinach was watery, unseasoned and bland. Service annoyed. When paying, a 15% 'optional' service fee was added without being asked. I can't recommend it.

Such a great quiet place to have a quick bite with amazing cocktails. If you are in a hurry they will get you in and out in under half and hour! Perfect pre-flight meal as you leave London! The lobster linguine is the perfect balance of spice and savory goodness. Pair it with a passion fruit cocktail and you are ready for take-off!

Ironically that it’s called “plane food” when maybe they should call it “plain food”. I had a 3 hour layover at terminal 5 (which is a disorganized mess) at London Heathrow. We ordered wagyu ragu pasta and a cheeseburger. The ragu was so bland. Did they even bother with seasoning? The cheeseburger was overly saturated with chimichurri sauce, probably to compensate for the lack of flavor? Our server Rio was top notch though.

Donburi starter tasty, Beefburger pretty bland, staff efficient and view pleasant. Seat (fabric bench) not very comfortable. £1.50 table cover charge disappointing. £48 inc a campari spritz. Overall, next time I'll spend £40 and use an airport lounge and only then be able to say which is better value.

Beef in the burger was good but not a fan of the mayo sauce used in the burger. Better off making that an optional sauce
