Good Frydays in Norwich

Google says it closes at 10 on Sundays. Sign on door closes at 9:30. Went at 20:20 and it was closed.

5 stars for me. The food is very tasty, and great value. They don't shy on the chip portions. The batter was delightfully light on the battered sausage but retained great crisp and flavour. The chips are quality and I had a curry sauce on the side which was tasty. The staff are ultra welcoming and my order was very fast. It's now my favourite chippy this side of the city if not in Norwich entirely. I ordered a large chip, large battered sausage, small battered sausage & curry sauce all for £9.30. Great value for money and the taste & quality exceeded expectations. The shop was clean and has a cool old school look to it which I really like. You can park up on the path outside as well if you are driving by. As far as I could tell it's cash only .

Nice batter, good chips. Curry sauce isn't too bad either. Doesn't accept card BUT it's open on a Sunday untill 10. Wnd tome my sons been there,both on a Sunday. So far so good.

Good old fashioned fish n chips, full of flavour. Chatty staff and honest prices. Don't be put off by the drab interior, the food is great!

Haven't been to this fish and chip shop for years. Food cooked fresh and to perfection. Also had some food ready to to pay and go. The main reason I will return in addition to the above is the warm welcome and efficiency of all staff and excellent customer service- rare these days. Try it and see for yourself!

Chicken pie was poor no filling was cremated

Chip shop has gone down hill. Fryer hasn't a clue how to fry. Chips was hard and sausage was pink in the middle. Won't be going back

Disgusting! All of the chips were so greasy they were shiny!!! Fish was cold, chips were also cut really thin. Would not recommend!

The fish was tepid inside looked like it had been sitting under the heat lamp way too long burger batter was soggy chips had a crunch in the middle won't be going back

The chicken nuggets are consistently good, but some other items like their sausage and batter, while tasty, tend to be on the greasy side, which can be off-putting. Occasionally, it's spot on, but other times it's a bit too heavy. Nevertheless, overall, it's a decent experience.

Always friendly fast service waiting time is next to no time if not ordering vast amounts which are cooked fresh whilst you wait. Prices are not overly inflated an worth every penny.

They’re so good here they don’t need to deliver…. Outstanding batter always crispy. I’ll go out of my way to go here.

We were very disappointed with our large cod and chips this Sunday evening. It was the smallest fish we have ever got as large. Unfortunately, we will try using other takeaways in the future.

I’m hooked! Can’t stop these cheeky chippy visits when I know I shouldn’t but it’s just sooo sooo good!! Food is always hot a fresh no matter what time you go. Staff are so friendly.. You know what?.. just take my rent money while I gather that winter weight! And yes I’m eating it as we speak.

The guy that runs the shop was the nicest person I have encountered in a fish and chip shop ever. The food is brilliant. We didn’t have cash so he said to bring the money back next time but we ended up bank transferring him. He also gave us an extra chips for free because I put vinegar over my chips and my girlfriend doesn’t like vinegar. This owner has put my faith back in humanity. Quality owner, quality food!

Clean and tidy fish and chip shop. Scampi was very good, the chips were excellent, crispy but soft inside and my large battered sausage was also very good. Staff very polite and helpful. Parking outside shop on the road, can get very busy. Can certainly recommend.

Omg they have now Started to do Potato wedges 😍 They are to die for and the portions are massive Definitely Recommend if u are a Potato wedge person like me 👌

Good fish and chips excellent cod roe

OMG! Really not the best. Down from East London and thought we may get some decent fish n chips. Sorry but no. Cods n chips 3 times and it was so over cooked and dry. My son had raw chips and the wally was hard and just horrible. The bloke may of given my other half 2 bits of fish as there was no large size ready-he should not have bothered - really not nice wont go again or recommend.

Yellow cod, was like it was still frozen in the middle very weird texture the cod was basically spoilt or going off.

Amazing food, infact the best fish and chips in norwich. My only criticism like others is that the portions could be bigger, a large chips could be a bit bigger for instance and the larger fish could be bigger too. But the food is so great, its just please increase the portions a bit.

Very busy tonight but still fairly quick service. Fish and chips and onion rings were very tasty. Will definitely go back

No doubt, best chippie in Norwich. Staff is always friendly and quick. I've tried others when I moved away from the area, but I've always come back. Even if I have to go out of my way now.

Such a friendly service, very welcoming at 5pm on a week day. Haven't been here for a few years but still good food. Very reasonably priced. Good quality fish, cod was best I have tasted in a long time. Sausage was tasty too. Chips seemed a little over-cooked. Not much parking on the busy road.

Last Sunday 20th September i had the best fish and chips for a long time. This Saturday I had the worst. Chips as white as a doctors coat,the fish was lovely the batter was like wet sawdust. How can you get it so wrong in a week £13 wasted. Should have put the money in the bin that's where our tea finished .up.

Have always had friendly service and excellent food from this shop, not cheap, but not to expensive either. Just great quality. On road parking, but if that's full try Aldi parking area, a minute walk away.

Very polite and pleasant service as usual but almost white chips, although technically cooked, are not very appetising or tasty. Would have prefered golden chips and I rarely buy take away so a disappointment. Will be less lazy next time and make my own.
