Me and fiance had a kebab today from GOLDS we give it 10/10 it was the best we've had in a long time excellent friendly service going again very soon

Love the boxed chips, and a good sized portion. Well cooked just how I like them.

Fantastic fish and chip shop, best I've been to in a long time. The prices are a bit on the steep side which loses a star for me, but otherwise I can't fault anything else. Their food is of top quality, the staff are lovely and the ordering process is create online with collection.

My partner and I have just had chicken kebab from your shop and I'm not sure what it's coated with,but your sign on the wall in your shop and on the Uber eats site states 100% natural chicken with no additives etc. it has definitely got additives applied too it, and it wasn't very nice at all, chips were lovely, the fish I go the night before was beautiful, but the kebab wasn't nice at all.

Called in lunch time,and ordered roe, it had to be cooked fresh and was worth the wait delicious, cheers guys.

All they’re interested in is Uber eats. They’ll have you waiting for ages without even acknowledging you. Went elsewhere in the end. Avoid.

The BEST food from a chipper I've ever experienced. Everything cooked fresh. Lamb Donna is above and beyond anything you will expect. The fish, so fresh ,chips hot and crispy. Amazing , and not over priced at all. . 5 star all day long.

This chippy is amazing im very funny when it comes to take aways but my hubby brings me here from redditch as we like it that much and Hugo the lad who takes my orders is extremely polite and patient hes a credit to the chippy

Was getting stared down by the boss man I think . Couldn’t tell if he wanted to kiss me or kill me. Fish cake very nice chips mid but the curry sauce ….. was so lumpy and had so many bits I swear they must have Hanson from scary movie mixing it in the back.

Being from Manchester where chippies make great fish and chips, I have struggled to find a decent chippy in the Midlands……..until today! Most of the chippies I have tried have very bitty chips and/or greasy fish. Golds in Catshill are spot on in my book and as good as the chippies up North. Really tasty fat chips, just how chippy chips should be and lovely cod with a light batter. There are lots of interesting things on the menu that are worth a try. I can only apologise for not trying you sooner. Highly recommended and definitely the best chippy in Bromsgrove by far.

Without doubt the best chippy in the area, lived in several areas incl Wythall and Kings Heath and none of the local chip shops compare - their Doner Meat and Chicken is 10/10

We arranged a charity fundraising night and had Golds supply the food, all vegan too. We had 33 portions that we collected . It was absolutely delicious! Not everyone was veggie or vegan but everyone raved about the veggie battered sausage and chips. And the tofish and chips. Generous portions, nothing was greasy, all fresh and all hot and presented in individual card board boxes . The staff were all so helpful and friendly too. The evening was such a success we are planning another already as folk are still talking about the food a week later ! Thank you so much . We are so grateful . We visited GOLDS because of the variety of vegan offerings. We had the tofish and vegan sausage in batter meal deals, which come in a box with curry or mushy peas. The food was delicious, and the portions were generous. It's not quite on our doorstep. But close enough for the food to still be hot when we got home.

Slightly on the pricier side, but portions are good.

Had a donar kabb meat was dry and taste less, and had fish & chips, chips dry, fish batter was soft And soggy underneath yet again disappointed with the food that was served

Absolutely awful we seen this place by accident but looked rather nice on the outside unfortunately thats the best I can say for the place!!!! Food was very disappointing I threw more over as the chips were horrible 😞 service wasn't good either the young girl who served us wasn't plesent at all,very expensive so we won't be returning

What can I say about Golds? So so so delicious 😋🤤 Fantastic vegan options, clearly marked, labeled and understood. The guys there are friendly, knowledgeable and understanding. Top service. The food is high quality and you get good sized portions. Would highly recommend.

Easily the best lamb kebab I've ever had. Though I'd prefer the other items if cooked in good old animal fat! Polite staff, clean establishment.

First time there for a couple of years but sorry to say server kept getting my order wrong then didn't tell me that what I had ordered is cheaper as a big fish dinner and to end it fish was greasy

Great chips, absolutely fantastic vegan selection. They were mega busy, with vegan food cooked fresh, but worth the wait 👏

visited Golds for the first and last time this week. Had southern fried chicken( no choice of wing, breast , leg etc) , which were overcooked and undersized and resembled more like chicken nuggets. Only choice was 1,2 or 3 pieces. If they concentrated more on food quality instead of unnecessary wasteful packaging, they might score better. Either one of two chip shops near me in Oldbury beat them hands down on quality, quantity and price.

This chippy has definitely improved over the years. Fish, Tinned Roe, mushy peas and chips are all excellent. Top marks to the owners.

The best kebab ever I've eaten "SAY NO MORE"

Went in on Saturday after fancying a change and wow it was the right choice!! The food was so good and the batter on the cod was so crispy. The chips were unreal and a perfect balance between crispy on the outside and soft in the middle…. And on top of that amazing customer service with the lad that served me helping me choose from the huge menu!!! Will definitely be going back again

On a long journey from London up to the North West we stopped in. Having ordered online for collection (as I saw they cooked to order) we received a generous portion of freshly cooked fish and chips. Thoroughly enjoyed our food and would highly recommend. Will likely visit again when doing a similar trip. Much better and cheaper than anything you could get at a service station!

We called in at about eight p.m. Got home and the chips were awful, dry hard and looked terrible. They could easily have been warmed up from yesterday except for the time of our visit. I won't be coming back.

First time ordering here - I am a plant based diet person so vegan options are great. I ordered battered mushrooms, battered sausage, chips, mushy peas and curry sauce - all vegan and it was beautiful - so nice to have plenty of options to choose from. My son isn’t on a plant based diet and he has the chicken kebab with regular chips and he said it was the best chicken kebab he has had. Definitely worth the 15mins drive for a chip shop treat.

First time visiting tonight,waited 15mins for a large haddock to be cooked,found out then it had given to the wrong customer,then waited a further 20mins for another one to be cooked. Expensive and very disorganized. Will go elsewhere next time

Not impressed. Waited over 40 mins,as they had given our order away. Chips undercooked,tasteless.fish fine but batter thin,soggy and undercooked.very expensive.probably due to the posh boxes and bags. A definite miss!!

Ordered a meal for 3 through uber eats, 2 hours later it still hadn't arrived, so we went around to the shop to find our order had been sat on the back shelf! When we asked about it, they blamed uber eats, however it's clear that it wasn't their fault. You can clearly see it was marked for delivery. When we spoke to the staff about this they were rude and unhelpful. They refused to give us names, and told us we either take the order or pay for another! The food was dried and cold and went straight in to the bin. At the height of the pandemic, they were nothing short of helpful for nhs workers, it now appears that attitude itself has gone straight in to the bin, as well as their food In all disgusting food as well as absolutely disgusting attitude. Lessons in customer service are a strongly recommended! I'd be ashamed if I was manager of this shop. *response * if indeed this was the case, then how do you account for your awful customer service. It wasn't just one member of staff we spoke to, but 3,all of whom which had attitudes that quite frankly were a poor reflection of your service *

Excellent vegan menu, worth the drive to get there, wish more chip shops offered this amount of choice. Will be back again soon!

We ordered a large number from Golds for our charity event. Communication was excellent, the staff were really friendly and very helpful when trying to put them all in the car. Thank you very much. We will definitely be ordering again.

My 1st time visit here and I have to say ! The Donna kebab I had was the tastiest Kebab ever. And the fish & Chips my Son had looked tasty amazing as (Must have been as he hate the lot. I highly recommend and would actually move the 120 miles for the Kebabs alone.

Ordered through uber eats the chicken was pink and when going back to ask for it to be cooked correctly was then had horrible customer service from what I can assume is the manager telling us "that's how it's cooked" disgusting will not be going again. Just an edit to your reply your customer service has definitely not improved just disgusting quite frankly and yes I can understand that thigh can be quite pink but even a customer stated that meat just wasn't cooked and then another fish and chips place I don't care what you say that was uncooked and after multiple people also saying that it was uncooked it really was

I have ordered a couple of times but I am very unimpressed with the lack of quality and no skill in correctly cooking basic foods. Kebab meat over done tough and dry and an inedible chicken meal that was burnt to a crisp. Very disapointing. Much easier to pop to the pub and get a meal of the same price that is much more quality and cooked correctly. If I could add the photo here I would.

Queueing in the rain and waiting 20 minutes to be served is a joke the slowest serving chip shop I’ve ever been too; for below average food which I couldn’t even finish. The chicken was cheap nasty pre frozen and the taste of Southern fried chicken was not got. For what I spent kfc or McDonald’s would have been faster and much nicer. Will never go there again.

I have been waiting an 1h40 mins for my Uber eats delivery and still no sign of the food and there is no number to contact on?! Try to Facebook message to get a instant reply that I have to come to the shop if it’s urgent or will get a reply within 48 hours. It’s ridiculous you can’t get any instant contact without going to the shop. The whole reason why people order takeaway online is so they don’t have to go to the shop.

Ordered Friday for a family meal. Chips tasted like the cardboard box they came in. Meat was chunky and dry. Salad was really chunky as well cucumber cut like door stops. And the naan was extremely chewy. Was very disappointed and food was over priced

Never had any problems with golds before tonight! Ordered online husband was there on time for pick up, half an hour he waited, got it home (eventually) was cold and not much to it! Really Really Really disappointed 😞 😕 😪

Ordered online and safely collected dinner this evening. The extensive vegan menu was too tempting to pass up, and we can heartily recommend the tofish and the vegan sausage. Both were delicious!

Ordered from here chips and chicken meat and a chicken meat naan roll, have to say very disappointed to be honest. Chips and curry sauce couldn’t fault due to giving the 2 stars and was quick delivery. However the chicken meat and the naan .. very poor. Chicken meat was bland and didn’t have any marinade and really no taste at all and the naan was under done and very doughy. To charge near £8.50 for a chicken naan roll and to recieve what I did was disappointing. EDIT 2 to 3 stars felt a bit harsh.

As I left a review on Uber which they said I was a hater for telling truth lol 😂 I will tell truth again the donner meat was burnt and old the chicken had Crushed pieces of bones in it. A genuine review only a guilty part would comment back Calling me a hater most reputable businesses would like to resolve the problem and as for calling me a APNA mate speak clear English so everybody knows what you mean not APNA language.

Good quality food, kids rave about the chicken kebabs. Lost one star due to ridiculous service charge for ordering online which makes value for money questionable 🤔 Update: Have tried through Uber Eats, 3 orders all incorrect with missing items. Will be looking elsewhere.

Since refit, prices have vastly increased, portions have decreased, used to like going there, but no more, had kebab tonight, and meat was cold, sorry can no longer receive this chip shop.

I ordered chips with my fish, and when I got home,there was only the fish I'd ordered, and no chips with it, not even sure if, I was charged for chips as the young man who served me, didn't print one of. I shan't be going there again
