It’s okay, but there is a funny smell of wee - and I did notice a mattress up against the window. The drink was t bad mind, I had a draught lager and I had no complaints there

Called in on my way home from work for a pint, very accommodating considering I just turned up without booking, got a pint of moretti and some cocktail thing that was forced upon me... not a bad pint to be fair, and the cocktail was okay, the resident dog Toby is very friendly although maybe abit simple and I hear he loves parmos... very reasonable prices as I never paid a penny 👍 will definetley visit again

Absolutely excellent cafe. A lovely warm welcome and offer of help with my companions, some of whom had mobility issues. The service and food was absolutely lovely and not overpriced and everyone gave them a 10 out of 10. Highly recommend. There is very easy access to cafe and toilets and we shall return. Thanks to all the lovely staff 😊

We paid The Sidings an impromptu visit as a stopover on our way from Hampshire to Edinburgh. We received an amazingly warm welcome from the team, they made us feel welcome and looked after us and our dog so well. We had a few drinks in the garden and then moved to the carriage restaurant for dinner. The food was delicious and the atmosphere in the bar area was great with loads of drink choices. Nothing was too much effort and we’ll definitely be back. Thanks for making us feel welcome.

Visited as a couple 7 March. We were staying in the hotel. Ambience was good. The eating area could perhaps do with a bit of updating but it is fine. Menu is a mix of pub classics and more adventurous dishes. I had one of the latter as a starter, Lamb Tagine Roll with harissa mayo and smoked aubergine purée. Very good. The roll had chunks of lamb and the mayo had a kick. Tasted and presented very well. I had steak and ale pie for main. Appeared home made with real chips. Again very good Mrs W had the pork belly which she enjoyed too. We had a very nice bottle of NZ Sav Blanc as well. Very good value.
