By far the best Chinese in town can not beat it for friendliness and speed the food comes out

I have been ordering from here for years and never failed to impress. Last occasion was the best so far, so good I'm leaving a review which I rarely do.

Ordered small cod,chicken pie savaloy and chips. Fish was warm chicken pie was cold and so was the savaloy. Only the chips were hot because they had just been made. Third time we’ve had an awful meal from there,we will not be going back.

The most disgusting fish and chips I have had in a long time. The fish (3 of) came straight out of the fryer and straight into the bag and it took half a kitchen roll to mop up all the oil. The chips were basically 2 bags of bits and we were hard pressed to find any decent ones. £21 for 3 med cod and 2 large chips but really not worth the money.

Went here for the first time and asked for a VEGETABLE spring roll and the roll was full of bean shoots. Not impressed at all, that cost me £3, I half expected VEGETABLES to be inside it, but to be honest I should have took heed to how this place looked on the outside of the shop. That may have given me an idea of how bad this place is. Binned it straight away £3 down the pan. The spring roll looked so wrong I can’t say on here but the outer crust was grease ridden 🤢 completely flavourless to say the least. I did however get a hot and sour soup which was nice, so I can’t say much about that. I dont think I’ll ever be going back there tho. I knew I should’ve just stuck to the chippy in woodhall. I was just being lazy but hey ho you live’n’learn! Seriously don’t get anything from here, and looking at the previous reviews. I wished I looked at them myself! You are throwing your money away by buying food from this place.

Very hit and miss with chinese meals recently. We had a lovely meal from here about 2 months ago, but the meal we had today was awful. The chicken balls were extremely greasy on the outside (;the bag they came in was swimming in grease) but the chicken inside was dry and and hard to chew so threw them away. The beef was also very chewy.The rice was ok.

Used to go a lot, but the last few times it hasn't been as good. It's still fine, but the food just isn't as tasty, and the sauces seem a bit watered down. It's a shame as it used to be top-notch.

Lovely little palce. The members of staff were very polite and followed instructions well. The only thing to note is that if you go in to order, they only accept cash. However, on their site and the app, you can pay with a card.

Food is overpriced and tastless. Minimum ingredients which at the price they charge you expect your sweet n sour to have pineapple in. Wont be returning. I would have avoided if i had read the reveiws. Its not the only chinese in town so pretty sure it will shut down if the quality stays the same

AVOID! We ordered from here on Sunday evening, we opted for collection (15 minute turn around..) and the food was dry, tasteless and disappointing. 24 hours later my boyfriend and I had awful food poisoning all through the night and days after. I don’t usually leave reviews but we’re so angry, please don’t waste your money here. It’s a shame as this Chinese used to be our go to a couple of years ago, however we will NEVER be ordering from here again.

Food was disgusting!!! Burnt, old tasting.. Found a massive hair in my chow mein.. Only got a refund for half the food even though I couldn't stress enough how disgusting the lot was!!! Will never ever go bk here!! Don't waste your money. Oh yeah.. My boyfriend was straight on the loo after eating wjat he could of his. Gross 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

Absolutely brilliant service food was amazing with good portions, the food was piping hot when it was delivered to me. Reasonably priced quick service tasty food what more could you want i would highly recommend this takeaway. I will be ordering from them again. Trace from Tewin

Over priced but I used to be happy to pay it as the food was excellent. Had been going to this Chinese for over 20 years and I've now been converted to Green Garden. They are much friendlier on the phone and the food is much tastier. Just ordered chips and Vegetable spring rolls from Golden Valley and they have gone straight in the bin 🤢 over cooked spring rolls and they smell weird. Chips are all scrappy.

Just had your meal it was fabulous your cooks are really doing it lotsa stock juicy full of flavour keep it up guys well impressive yum yum you out do all the rest🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Wow! I haven't been here since before covid and I'll never go back again. Not sure if it has changed hands - but the fish, chips and chowmein we had tonight were absolutely terrible! The fish was absolutely saturated in old tasting oil. The chips were tasteless with quite an unpleasant texture. The pork and duck chowmein smelt and tasted pretty rancid £25 down the pan - just waiting for dominos to arrive now!

Lovely local Chinese takeaway. We ordered egg fried rice, plain chow mein, chicken kung po and prawn toasts, all were incredibly tasty and not oily. Only downside, they are a cash only operation 🤷🏽‍♂️.

Best Chinese food in Welwyn Garden City. Black Bean sauce and Chow Main dishes are particularly good. I also love that the containers are mostly cardboard and not plastic.

Best place to get Chinese food, by far. Some places slather it in fluid. Some places produce really dry food. This place does it just right. Note: it's cash only if you are picking it up, however deliveries are available. 2nd note: they are not on any of those delivery apps, so you will have to call direct.

Been eating food from here for years. Really good portions. Has a great lunch menu. I usually go for the Chicken Chow Mein for lunch, but sweet n sour chicken balls ( comes with rice) is also a tangy alternative.

Ordered some spring rolls that instead was sent as one huge spring roll, that was absolutely awful. Rang to complain and the staff were so rude!!! Never had such a poor experience. Aside from this the rest or the food was greasy

We have sorely missed Golden Valley being open. Tried 3 others and they just weren't as good. Lovely friendly staff and tasty food whether you choose Chinese or fish & chips.

Always good quality & good value Use regularly. Always good food and lunch time deals are large and tasty. Did give us noodles instead of rice (once in many visits) still tasted good and received many apologies when we told them the next time we went.

THE BEST chinese around and the lunch time specials are brilliant value for money. The chip shop is excellent as well and very well priced.

Ordered large cod and chips a saveloy and some curry sauce £12.20 . The delivery arrived cod was a strange square shape average in taste the curry sauce was awful which is strange as i normally love the chinese style sauce compared to the usual gloopy stuff saveloy small and cold . Most of it ended up in the dogs bowl ... a lot of money really wish i had got a chinese now . Even the chips were midly warm and soggy hard to believe the standard which is normally excellent ... shame

Service for take away very slow waiting over 20 minutes meal was mediocre and quite expensive also pancake roll was huge But for some reason they use lumps of cheap processed ham in it that was not very nice won't be rushing back there

Its an nasty and awful Chinese takeaway now. When I ask the staff why their fishes are pathetic small on lunch time？A stuffless male' answer is that it is. I hate this condescending attitude and unreasonable price. If you want to eat nice chinese you can go to somewhere else.

Best Chinese I've ever had better than every restaurant i have tried, a little expensive like all Chinese takeaway but the portions were a large size and very well cooked, none of the food was greasy, none of the meat was overcooked or dry.

Won’t be ordering from this place again! Basically been called a liar by one of the members of staff there, waiting time has been well over 1 hour and 10 mins. By the time it arrives it will probably be freezing cold! Avoid this place! If I could give zero stars I certainly would!

Tasty food, very fast service and really friendly. Have been using this takeaway for years and always been great. I usually phone through the order and it's ready by the time I arrive to pick it up 10mins later.

I think all chinese food is a bit meh, but this is the best chinese takeaway around this area.

Good chinese food, tasty and always hot. Large portions and good value. Would be better if they took card. Chips are large portions but not crispy and a bit greasy. Chip shop food could be of better quality but for the price it's fair. Would still recomend for the chinese food.
