The gold in the name must come from them having a pi#s in the pot it was one of the worst greasy meals I have had in a long time I could Finnish it and I love my dog to much to feed it to him so In the bin it went never again!!!!!

Ordered at take away and had a missing item, ordered shredded chilli chicken with curry sauce, as well as other items and not sauce. Disappointed and not eaten the dish. Also waited over an 1 hour and 15 minutes for it to be delivered, that's not acceptable. Might rethink reordering for here, even though what I ate was good

Amazing Chinese but come on honestly 2 hours for a chicken and gravy in the one container phoned to ask if on way and apparently they had forgot about me wouldn't need to be starving

I only got chips and curry sauce. There was hardly any sauce and what there was it was disgusting.

Been going here for food my whole life and anyone knows how much I love this place but it's went proper down hill. I've never not finished a meal but the beef curry I got tonight when right into the bin. So disappointing can't believe how rotten its gotten

Been going here for 20 odd years and will never be back chicken curry happy meal appeared to have been cooked days ago and chips where re- heats from god knows when so disappointed, the food that got delivered was one of the worse takeaways we have EVER had .chow main is like mush. The food was that bad the bin turned its nose up at it.

Food is delicious, great service

My old man brought me here when I was at primary school. I still remember the big picture on the wall and the wee gas fire that made you sweat enough you needed a dinner to put the weight back on haha. I'm now 35 and still order from here and my own kids really enjoy the food as well. For a takeaway to last so long in a community these days is rare and it speaks volumes about the place. Food is always fresh and roasting hot when it gets delivered. If you want a delivery on a Friday or Saturday night then be prepared for a wait cause this place is super busy but its worth the wait and again the food always comes piping hot and fresh. If you haven't tried it then give it a go. You won't be disappointed.

We stopped going to this takeaway for a while because of poor quality food. We recently tried it again and there is a vast improvement in the quality of the food. It's now our go to place for Chinese takeaway

Quite possibly the worst curry I have ever had, and I have eaten Chinese in many countries We orded a chicken curry and got something that looked more like Bolognese! It was red and not a Thai curry. Next day both my partner and I were as sick as dogs.....not sure if the two were related but worth a mention.

Asked for a beef Cantonese and was hit with beef and prawns in oyster sauce (I have a severe allergy to prawns) Called back for the woman on the phone to tell me that she advised us of what was in the dish. She never mentioned prawns or oyster sauce once! So a full meal in the bin…..

Looks are deceiving nothing to look at but great food

Asked for a portion noodles .salt chilli chips .peking sause .i asked for mushroom and onion in my noodles got charged £3.60 for (5onionsand 5 mushrooms .when i asked about being over charged .i was told i was charged for a chow main . And was told by staff they charge diffrent prices. I ordered this on previous occasions and have never been charged this before .i will nwver order from here again as this was a ridiculous price to be charged for (5onions 5 mushrooms always check the price of what you order . Their very rude and not interested in sorting the problem out .when i said i wouldnt be back .i was told thats your choice not helpfull at all

This establishment used to serve a nice portion of Sweet and Sour Chicken Balls at one time . Absolute failure last night- horrible white meat in batter balls in a thick unappetising sauce- most of it ended in food recyling bin!! Will never return to this outlet again

The most awful customer service ever experienced!! They sent the wrong food . When we phoned to complain they did not resolve the situation instead the person on the phone decided to be cheeky to my son. Very unprofessional. I’ve experienced this before with this takeaway but decided to give them another chance. Steer clear , not worth the hassle.

Best takeaway in Lanarkshire by far!!!!!!!

We ordered a delivery at approx 18:00 on the 7th November and when we asked how long told us 45mins to an hr and after about another to phone calls and 2hrs later we finally got adding an extra 2pound on it from what I was told when I placed the order which is totally wrong especially after waiting that length of time should be free and because of all this 1star is very generous

I usually get the meal for two out of the golden sea. They give you 6 different dishes for £20.00 pounds and usually it lasts me a few days to get through. They also let you change two of the dishes if you don't like some of the meals that are on the set menu for two. Excellent value for money.

Was always the best place to go even when we got a bit of plastic in our fish!. we kept our distance for a while but thought accidents happen but to get it again! in yet another bit of fish isn't an accident, it's down right neglectful.so no more chances, we will NOT!! be back. they took 0% responsibility and manager was to busy to speak to us even though our order was over £50 not even the refund of the fish was given back to us.

Straight forward Chinese carryout, prices are on par with other carry-outs but quality is excellent and definitely above par!

Yo I was over visiting from the states and whilst in ordering my crispy wontons I asked the take out clerk to holla at the chef real quick to hold the cilantro. Dumb broad didnt even know what cilantro was man total bummer man

Used to love this place as a youngster but it's gone right downhill. Order chicken curry, got home and sat down to it, cut into chicken and its grey inside 😷 will not be back.

Happy meals in tubs when they used to be in polystyrene boxes and getting orders wrong. Don’t get me wrong the food is good as good as anywhere else I’ve tasted but you at least have to get the basics right.

Foned an order for collection. Picked up order and got home to realise I was given the wrong dish! Returned and was told no refund or replacement would be given because the food had left the shop! Disgraceful customer service! Would not recommend!

Ribs are very chuck. Not cooked enough!! I order from this Chinese all the time, everything is spot on.. chips have never been great until after 6pm... Ribs are tough as hell

Management ought to be more careful in their choice of staff answering the phones! The phone is the first point of contact and reflects on the business. I pointed out to the person taking our order that she was being rude and she continued to be rude!! Maybe she thought she was being clever/smart. No just rude. It’s a shame as the food is good. Teach your staff some manners!

Lovely chicken fried rice and chow mein

Order from this place every time we fancy a takeaway. Try the beef and Onion, its good but ask for extra gravy / sauce as the meal is only covered in it but if you ask you get more without paying extra. Yes there can be long waits but thats because of its popularity in the area. Foods decent and the service by phone and delivery never really falters either.

Me and my girlfriend ordered chicken fried rice and chicken chow mien from this establishment last night. We took out order Home to find out that their was ham in both of the dishes, my girlfriend doesn’t eat pork or beef that’s why we ordered the chicken ones. We phoned the shop and they were very rude and wouldn’t either refund us for the meals or make new ones without ham in it without us paying for a second set of meals and they hung up abruptly. This is absolutely shocking what about people with religious beliefs that means that they cannot eat certain things I.e. pork, are they expected to just throw it in the bin and lose money because of this places incompetence no they should not. Their menu should specify all meats that are in their dishes but they don’t, either update the menu or just put CHICKEN in CHICKEN dishes and not pork as well.

Can't fault this takeaway restaurant. Food great and staff pleasant. My son even travels from bellshill to pick up his favourite Chinese.

Golden sea was our local Chinese for years. Moved to different part of the town with loads of different Chinese takeaways about. Golden sea is actually the furthest away but with so many disappointing meals from ones closer we can't see by it. Pictures say it all. Love the bbq ribs in BBQ sauce, really tasty not like the other Chinese in my reviews.

Phoned in an order, waited 25 mins then went to collect, 5min journey, went into the shop and paid the money, sat and waited 6-7 mins then asked where the meal was,I was then told that you had to state you wanted your meal to be ready when you arrived to pick it up, I have never heard rubbish like it, I have had the same poor service in this Chinese previously and only went there because my usual shop was closed.

This is one of my favourite Chinese takeaway love the chicken curry also king prawn curry and chow mien. They also do a handy meal box with lots of choices suitable for one person

A menudo (básicamente cada semana) ordenar el mismo plato desde aquí para compartir con mi novio y yo siempre llamó esta uno primero antes de cualquier otro chino. Sin embargo, recientemente sus estándares son bajando la colina como sus chili patatas fritas ahora sabor antiguo, difícil y horrible. Está empezando a suponer un :( por favor les haga sabor fresco.

Pedimos una pizzería del Golden mar esta noche. 2 de 4 artículos artículos eran incorrectas. Llamé y me ofrecieron enviarme un conductor con la orden correcta. Por el momento, el conductor nos había comido mi cena y mi pareja aún estaba esperando a los suyos, pero estas cosas pasan. Nos preguntó por más dinero como aparentemente undercharged nosotros! Le expliqué a la 'administrador' en el teléfono que ya nos habían sido incomodados y el orden incorrecta adoptadas por un miembro de su personal y que un cargo extra era excesivo. Entonces se dirigió hacia culpar ella 'nueva' los miembros del personal. Le pregunté si estaba dispuesta a perder un cliente durante un par de libras y aparentemente ella era.

Tienen comida para llevar tenían desde el Golden mar durante varios años y las comidas siempre han sido consistentemente bueno. Teléfono de siempre con antelación a la orden como este lugar normalmente está lleno. Las raciones son abundantes y suelen compartir una carne curry con arroz frito entre nosotros dos y aún están muy llenos. Los precios son muy razonables con una carne curry y arroz frito que cuesta 6 libras. No hay mucho más que decir, excepto que pedir otra comida la próxima semana.

I live bang in the town centre & order from here - need I say more. The roast chicken, chinese roast pork with fried rice is excellent
