Golden Sands in Thurrock

VERY disappointed on food quality… chicken cheep frozen tasteless … SAUCE .. gloopy .. 5 small pieces of what’s suppose to be chicken in my dish. won’t be ordering again YUCK!

I popped in on my way home from work. The food was terrible actually disgusting and most of it ended up in the bin. The prawn balls were were cakes with a tiny prawn inside. The only thing that I enjoyed was the seaweed. I definitely would not eat from there again. Wish I went to my normal Chinese kongs. A valuable lesson learnt and a waste of £30. Wanted to post photos but will not let me.

Just had Chinese delivery in Hornden on the hill 1st time we've used the takeaway and it was very nice good hot food great service

I use to order from ere regularly and Apparently new ownership took over back end of last year, ordered it then and was gutted as it was nothing like it was previous!!! So I thought I would try it again tonight maybe last time was a one off!!! Well I don’t know where to begin!!! The food was rank and the prices u charge are unreal!! For example a portion of ribs? More like bones painted red!!! Crispy chilli chicken was like eaten fried batter!!! Crispy chilli beef was like chewing on cardboard!!! And as for your curry sauce, what the hell is that?? U Should be ashamed of yourself!! Will never order there again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sweet & sour sauce is horrible, over cooked chicken, noodles dry, all in all, go somewhere else. New

Got a takeaway as it could be ready in 10 mins but delivery was 45 mins. Worst chinese i have had. Pork balls and chicken balls burnt. My daughter thought her chilli chicken was frozen and my other daughter wondered where the beef was on her chow mein. Even my Husky turned her nose up at the balls and the sweet and sour tastes like hand sanatiser or dishwater. I know why i havent used it since the last owner.

Have to say their crispy duck is the best and prawn toast yummy Good size portions and quick delivery

Had some Good Friday night chicken curry and egg rise got home 2 mins away food was warm didn't have much flavor but had it anyway Saturday morning wake up with pains in my belly followed by going to the toilet 9 times so not good Sunday was the same but kept me up all night going to the Loo not good ruined my weekend do not eat here

Was with friends in the local area have to say the food was of a very high standard and very tasty Service was good

Lovely food a bit expesive for the locaton but the food is very nice take away only in this place in stanford

Lunch special of small cod and 1/2 portion chips enough. Cooked to order and excellent taste. Good value @£4

It'll do if you're very very hungry, but on the whole, this takeaway isn't not even average. Food not tasty or plentiful. High prices for low cost chicken for example. No card machine.

Very disappointed with Golden Sands It was cold, very little meat, gloopy, tasted of old oil and mostly carrot all in all unpleasant enough to chuck most of it in the bin .... Very unlike me dont like to complain about it but hope it's just the one off.

Never had a bad meal from these guys. Very friendly and meals usually ready when they say. Would highly recommend

We had a rather disappointing meal on New Years Eve, and phoned to complain. The manager could not have been more helpful and apologetic - a new meal was sent out despite the place being run off their feet. Well done on superb customer service, and the second delicious meal!

When first started using them 6 years ago was very polite....not now, made mistakes with the orders on multiple occasions and argue with the customer, many superior restaurants in the area to choose from. Poor !

I used to have dinner at this restaurant, the food is indeed good, the service is quick, the restaurant is clean a tidy, the only part I would miss is that they would have tables to sit to stay, but I would recommend it definitely, to families, couples or even people on their own like me.
