This was the least tastiest Chinese meal I’ve ever had. Main meal was bland and pork balls were chewy. Meal was hot when it arrived but very late. Will not order from here again.

The Chop Soy was a little too much like sweet and sour sauce and I only thought it was just the beansprouts, not with extra meat. I do like this Chinese in general, but I won't get this certain dish again.

The chicken balks were inedible. They looked like deep fried condemned meat. I left them well alone. The chop suey smelled strange and was tasteless and greasy. I left it too. The rice and prawn crackers were ok. £16 badly spent.

The food took over an hour to arrive. The Singapore noodles were completely dry and bland. The shredded duck was full of duck fat rather than actual meat. Really disappointing meal.

below average. won't look to go here again. noodles stale and beef extremely chewy. pork balls were lovely. duck was extremely fatty... worse crispy duck I have had - not crispy at all!

Tried this as a new Chinese after moving house, and it was The worst Chinese takeaway we’ve had in a very long time. S+P Chips were soggy and full of large chunks of veg but little salt and chilli seasoning/flavour. Thai Special fried rice had minimal veg and the meat didn’t taste fresh, wasn’t spicy at all. Curry sauce tasted like it was from a bottle, and was runny. Chilli beef wasn’t very crispy. Definitely won’t be trying again, and left us really unsatisfied.

Honestly, very disappointing food. Chow mein so flavourless. Utterly tasteless and taste like it’s been reheated from days ago. Salt & pepper squid completely tough to eat and the fried but was soggy. And only five squids!! Chicken satay had hardly any sauce - luckily I ordered satay sauce so was able to add that to it. We’ve hardly touched our food. Can’t believe we’ve paid almost £32 (with a £10 discount) for all this. We can hardly afford a takeaway, this was a treat for my husband’s bday. Delivery took 40mins when it stated 1.5hrs. They most likely had just reheated all the food from days ago.

Ordered in a Sunday night. Food was cold bland and looked liked it had been pulled out of the leftovers. Inedible meat, soggy prawn toast, undercooked noodles. I could go on. Really disappointed with this restaurant. Not sure how people can rate it so highly..

Items were missing from our order. We found that the food that we did receive was not of a high quality when compared to other competitions. We will not be ordering from here again.

The delivery came a lot quicker than the estimated delivery time which was a nice surprise. The food was hot and tasted great. They have a lot of choices on their menu including some Thai dishes. I have ordered from them before and I will order from them again.

Did not acknowledge request for no veg in curry

We have used golden place several times and have always been happy with the food but one of the dishes we ordered this time had a really strange smell like some of the ingredients were off. The smell was quite strong so we didn’t eat any of it

Unfortunately, quality has gone down. Beef very chewy to the point it wasnt eaten. Crispy chicken wasn't crispy. Rice was ok and banana fritters nice.

Chicken with chilli and garlic sauce seemed like it had been frozen and not defrosted properly- chicken didn’t seem properly cooked so didn’t want to continue eating it

Lately this place has been my go to but today's order was not great. Singapore fried rice was disappointing. Although the portion size was big, the sweet chilli sauce was not nice; it was watery and bland, I couldnt. The spare ribs and king prawns and mushrooms was really nice. *Your menu on Just Eat doesn't have chilli sauce, could you kindly add that please. Thank you
