Very nice food ordered regularly and never had anything that hasn't been good, always well cooked and hot and they take notice of notes I have added for example extra chillis.

Ordered in a Sunday night. Food was cold bland and looked liked it had been pulled out of the leftovers. Inedible meat, soggy prawn toast, undercooked noodles. I could go on. Really disappointed with this restaurant. Not sure how people can rate it so highly..

Items were missing from our order. We found that the food that we did receive was not of a high quality when compared to other competitions. We will not be ordering from here again.

The delivery came a lot quicker than the estimated delivery time which was a nice surprise. The food was hot and tasted great. They have a lot of choices on their menu including some Thai dishes. I have ordered from them before and I will order from them again.

Spring roll was lovely. Set meal for one was not good at all! Synthetic tasting chicken, weird rice and pork balls with a nasty taste. Won’t be using them again.

Did not acknowledge request for no veg in curry

We have used golden place several times and have always been happy with the food but one of the dishes we ordered this time had a really strange smell like some of the ingredients were off. The smell was quite strong so we didn’t eat any of it

Chicken with chilli and garlic sauce seemed like it had been frozen and not defrosted properly- chicken didn’t seem properly cooked so didn’t want to continue eating it

Unfortunately, quality has gone down. Beef very chewy to the point it wasnt eaten. Crispy chicken wasn't crispy. Rice was ok and banana fritters nice.

Awful, worst Chinese I’ve had ever. Chips and prawn toast were soggy, portions came half full and sauces spilt. Would never order from here again. I’m a little confused how it’s got it’s rating but we were disappointed to say the least.

Lately this place has been my go to but today's order was not great. Singapore fried rice was disappointing. Although the portion size was big, the sweet chilli sauce was not nice; it was watery and bland, I couldnt. The spare ribs and king prawns and mushrooms was really nice. *Your menu on Just Eat doesn't have chilli sauce, could you kindly add that please. Thank you

This is the only Chinese restaurant I will order from and I have tried a few!! The food is fresh, delicious and hot; you can’t find a better take away. I have used them for 25 years and have never been disappointed. Top Marks

About as authentic as a ping pong show but like a ping pong show left you feeling not great about yourself and a sour taste in your mouth

Delivery was fast (on a Monday) but food was pretty boring. We ordered Beef black bean and Lemon chicken. Good amount of meat in each dish but not much flavour. Aromatic duck was ok and not too dry.

Golden Place Chinese is 100% the best Chinese in south london! Cannot fault this place - food is always delicious hot with great portion sizes! This place has become the new go to for a Thursday night takeaway!

Food very disappointing. The twice cooked pork was very tough, the duck in noodles was supposed to be shredded but was just fatty pieces and although the chicken balls were good the tiny pot of sweet and sour simply wasn’t enough sauce.

Good food although the prawn crackers were hard

Food was lovely, had the sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style and it was nicely cooked with lots of flavour. Would also recommend the vegetable pancake rolls (spring rolls). Delivery took a little white, it’s only a 10 min drive away but took about 25 minutes after we got the notification about the driver on the way, which I thought was odd. Apart from that, would order again!

The restaurant is 5 minutes from my house and the food should take 15 minutes to prepare. Not sure why it was an hour half getting here from when I ordered the food?

The food is always freshly cooked, tasty and good portions. Its very good value for money. We don't order Chinese food from anywhere else.

This was the best Chinese I have had! Ever! I had prawn balls, the prawns were tasty and not tough. Vegetable chow mein with fine noodle which were lovely! I love fine noodles too so love this! The sweet and sour sauce was amazing, not thin and watery like other places! I thoroughly enjoyed my food thank you very much!

Please just give accurate estimations for delivery

The "Singapore Fried Rice Noodles - Large" were very clearly egg noodles not rice noodles. Tasted nothing like Singapore noodles. The rest of the food was fine, nothing to write home about.

WOW. Great Chinese. The smoked chicken is AMAZING. Generous portions and good pricing. Definitely my new Chinese. Only downfall would be - no free prawn crackers and the sweet and sour sauce is too small for the amount of balls.

Loved the Chow Mein, it wasn't oily which was great

When we ordered it said we could expect to receive the delivery between 6:30-7pm. We were out and weren’t at home but planned on being home just before 6:30pm. I received a call from the delivery driver at 5:46pm saying he’d rung our doorbell but had no answer. Whilst I appreciate the food wasn’t late, I could have been much further from home and unable To get back in time. The times need to be more accurate.
