Great food served quickly, recommend the set dinner for one

This WAS the best Chinese takeaway food I had ever had but something changed around 2022 (ish) The once wonderful chicken curry (which had plenty of chicken, a wonderful sauce and THE best fried rice I had ever had...suddenly became dry, less flavoursome rice, more chicken but at the expense of much less sauce (which also changd in flavour) The balance has been messed with and IT SHOWS!!! Now, when you add the curry to the rice, the rice sucks up what little sauce there now is and your left with dry rice, and a pile of chicken...making the overall dish, now dry! I thought maybe they had a different cook/chef so next time, I asked for less chicken and more sauce (like it used to be) Don't get me wrong, you still got plenty of chicken before...but now it's all chicken with little sauce. Kept going back but it's just no good for me now. Found another takeaway...which is a shame because they are nice people.

Lovely food and friendly staff, good value for money. I have been getting take away from Golden Palace for many years and their food never fails to impress.

I love Singapore rice noodles and I’ve have tried a fair few, gotta say this is one of my favourites, well flavoured, not greasy, not too spicy just the way I like it. I will be back for more!😋

The fried items were soggy. The dishes that were meant to be spicy were just really vinegary and tasted like a bad sweet and sour. Shame as the service was lovely and friendly and I bought a lovely plant in there. I would return for more plants, but probably not for food.

Arrived to learn cash only (it's 2023!). When I finally got food, was bland and soggy. Worst Chinese I've had for a long time which was a shame as we had travelled to Bristol for a reunion. Really poor quality.

The staff in the chippy are nice and friendly and get your food ready in the time they said after you order your food.

Have been getting our Chinese takeaway from here for over 30 years. We used to live close but for years drive a distance for this takeaway as it’s just fabulous. The quality of the meat, seafood and veg is fabulous and flavours and value amazing too. Just try it, you won’t look back! The family are so nice and friendly too. Thank you Golden Palace from Lisa

Really nice curry sauce, but the chips were slightly under cooked.

Pretty good Chinese. Quick service. Only problem cash only, so I ended up paying the bill.....

I almost hated Chinese food eating from these guys. The pork was badly cooked. The meal was literally watery. The taste almost made me puke. I had to discard the meal.

Really nice curry sauce not too hot, thought the chips need improvement on cooking. Love the fried rice dishes like the pork and duck. Delicious. They now need to get on the delivery apps so I can order from home to have it delivered to me.

Rice okay, and ribs good, but the sweet and sour chicken was not very good, the sauce is much better in other Chinese's nearby, they to change/improve it asap

¡Amo este lugar! ¡Lo mejor para millas a la redonda! ¡He estado yendo aquí por más de 25 años! No ha sido mi local durante los últimos 15 años, pero sigo conduciendo porque la calidad de la carne y el pescado es la mejor. Muchos sabores frescos. Definitivamente recomiendo darle una oportunidad.

Volveré, he estado en algunos en Staple Hill, y este es uno de los mejores que he tenido. Nosotros ordenamos - arroz frito especial (sin gambas) - chow mein especial (sin gambas) - bolas de pollo agridulces Y una olla de salsa de curry (que es la mejor que he probado)

This is the only Chinese takeaway that's open till 11.30 on a Saturday night. It's at staple Hill just up the road from page park.

Ordered chips, rice and curry. The chips where chewy and greasy, the rice was sticky and top was dry and the curry was disgusting, bland and tasteless. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone

A good takeaway. Only had a couple of dishes but friendly service and always tasty so far.

Oh querido. Esta es probablemente la peor comida china que he tenido. 3/4 de ellos fueron a la papelera y comimos tostadas para la cena en su lugar. Fue tan malo Empecemos por lo bueno. Esto es local para mí y la mujer que me sirvió fue realmente agradable. El personal chino que escribió los pedidos en chino me emocionó al encontrar un excelente local nuevo desde que cerré mi casa más temprano en el año. Qué equivocada estaba. La tostada de langostinos estaba quemada y sin sabor. El arroz especial del Golden Palace era un desastre acuoso, insípido. Los langostinos con verduras también son un desorden acuoso, insípido. No es barato y la comida era terrible. Yo evitaria

This is by far the best takeaway in the area. Have been going there for over 3 years and staff are always very friendly and the food is delicious!

Don’t understand negative comments below. Not expensive in the slightest compared with others. Excellent fast service and food is delicious.

Purchased a special curry ang egg fried rice, rice stodgy and curry, all it was was water and 5 pieces of meat. 2 prawns. Never again
