Golden Kitchen in Vale of White Horse

The dishes were so salty that it was impossible to taste anything else. Compared to other Chinese takeaways their prices are very expensive. We ordered a small portion of fried rice and the size of the container was laughable. Not enough to feed a child never mind an adult. The beef was tough and also some of the vegetables. Will not be returning.

Had a chicken curry last night and it was amazing so much chicken packed into this dish and rice was also really well cooked

price affordable, not bad food but very bad customer service, rude and impatient staff first and last time coming

The restaurant serves unauthentic Chinese cuisine and in simple words, it is a scam. What I ordered from the menu is completely different from what received. When I called to ask for a explanation I was met with an episode of shouting and rudeness. PLEASE AVOID!

Me and my family have been ordering takeaway food from here since it opened. It’s always been our favourite in Abingdon. We have noticed a huge hike in prices in here at a much higher rate than other takeaways, we obviously know that currently things cost a little more. The food was good and hot as always. I think this luxury will be the first to go off of our list

Pop in here a few days ago wow amazing food always loved the golden kitchen. The sweet and sour chicken perfect.the special fired rice excellent.the chips have never changed still excellent indeed.love the spring rolls they are a meal just by them self's. East to order,excellent turnaround.

Ordered the takeaway over the phone, repeated the correct order back to confirm. Upon collection 1 x meal missing and food was just about warm let alone hot!! Granted they said 10min wait I was there in 5MINUTES. Won’t be going back & would NOT recommend.

Ordered food from here for the first time and was very disappointed. The egg fried rice was dark brown, the beef dish was bland and the spare ribs had a weird, soggy, floury coating. To cap it off the spring roll had lost it's spring and was very much on the soggy side. Won't be returning.

Just had another fab meal. The chips were delicious. This is our go to Chinese takeaway, keep up the good work xx

We have always had fantastic experience with this takeaway. The food is always excellent. We feel the social distancing aspects are well done for food collection. The crispy chilli beef is particularly tasty!

Brilliant food always very tasty and hot . Take your order very quickly over the phone and you can pick Up within 10 min . Highly recommended

Decided to try this place on a visit to Abingdon as good reviews on Trip Adviser and Google. Comprehensive menu available to view online. Saturday evening and the place was packed - the phone never stopped ringing and constant stream of customers ordering or collecting food. Very quick service though. Food was hot and portions large. 1/4 crispy duck came with 12 pancakes and enough duck to easily fill these. Duck chow mien also good as was special house curry. Have a few more weekends when Abingdon will be home so will definitely return.

I had house special fried rice with chicken, green pepper and black bean sauce. Prompt 10 minute service from phone call to pickup. Recommended

We popped in late evening. The service was very good as was the food. Will definitely be returning. Although we have lived in Abingdon for many years we had not used The Golden Kitchen before. Recommend.

This used to be such a lovely Chinese. The food was always fresh and tasty. It's now horrendous the food always seems reheated and the chips are nothing but grease. It's such a shame I used to love this Chinese.

This was my first visit to this Chinese, the food looked like it had been reheat, the special fried rice was hunting the meat they would have been more meat in egg fried rice. The rice was black were to much soya sauce had been used.I do hate writing this but with so many Chinese takeaways in Abingdon, you thought the standards would be higher so that it would attach more people and offer good value for money.

I ordered from Golden Kitchen yesterday and my food looked and tasted like it had been reheated. The chicken was so dry and tough. Not impressed.

Always great service & the best tasty Chinese in Abingdon .would recommend sweet & sour chicken balls & hot & spicy crispy chicken pieces. The spring rolls are massive & very tasty

Service was good, good choice, but I found the meal very oily and I have had better in Abingdon, will not go back again.

Fresh, tasty and fast. Excellent Chinese with good selection, always popular but you never wait too long. Shame the chips have changed, they used to be fabulous but the new type aren’t too bad. Good value.

Don’t judge this book by its cover! Saturday night take out and it only took 15 minutes. Every dish was delicious and well priced. We will definitely be going back.

Always hot and very tasty staff are very polite and very helpful prices are very good never had a bad meal from there their only down fall for me is that they dont do a delivery service which would be so good at weekends as parking out side is very limited and you have to keep driving round untill you find a space or take some one with you and drop them off

I only went here because my wife wanted to try it again. The food is bland, too much salt and I consider £5.40 for chicken rice expensive. There are better quality takeaways in the town.

He disfrutado todas las comidas desde aquí, unas grandes porciones de precios. Normalmente tienen dulce y amargo pollo, éste tiene capacidad para dos personas (13 pollo pelotas de batería) así que siempre compartir con huevo frito arroz, sólo 7 libras!. Junto con barrio de pato y tortitas. Dos comidas para compartir £13.00 y estoy lleno después. Recomendaría este lugar a todo el mundo.

Have been using this takeaway for many many years and it is always the best tasting, value for money takeaway around. Good quality food, good service for a decent price. The fact it's always busy is testament to it's quality.

Our favourite Chinese take away in Abingdon. We had a meal on a Saturday night, the staff was very friendly and although there was a little wait for the food but it was well worth waiting.

I really used to love this place and would use no other, however complacency has set in. It's not cheap and the standard of cooking has varied so often that I have decided not to use it any more.I am sure some of the food has been reheated and when you ring up and complain they say they will give you discount when you come back in. Look by their phone and you will see list of complaints by wall...not a good advert!

I always get my Chinese takeaway from here, it's reasonably priced, only takes 10-15 mins to order, and then collect. I usually have sweet and sour chicken, and rice all for just about £7. The sweet and sour chicken is in batter and are 13 pieces plus the sauce, which is to die for. Can not find this sauce anywhere in any of the take aways. The staff are friendly and always remembers your name and is polite to you. I would recommend this place.

This is our favourite Chinese, food is always ready quickly and reasonably priced. They also do some English dishes for people who are fussy like me. Their chips are almost famous as being amazing, proper chunky ones! We have only had 2 meals of a slightly lower standard over 5 years of using them so can't complain. Will never use a different Chinese again!!

Excellent food, Friday nights can be busy and when u phone in ur order, be prepared for about a 20 minute wait, but well worth it

I use this place a lot, one of the best Chinese take outs around, always on time, food is great. Friendly staff and good value.
