It was a very nice place , I really liked the revamp of the place ,love playing chess with my friends and the employees are so kind ,the food is to die for I would spend all my money there if I could 🖤

the food was fine, but the experience of going to this place was extremely unpleasant. a young employee was being harrassed by much older managers and chefs, there were people eating in the kitchen, and a large picture of donald trump plastered on the wall. i am very concerned about the hygiene and working conditions here, and upset to see their bigoted political views. very disappointed.

I’ve eaten here quite frequently and each time I eat here I want more and more and want to give them all my money that chicken chow-mein ❤️ and the chicken balls are amazing!! There employees are all very nice I met the bosses hector and rollo they were some of the nicest people there and really made me want to come there again .(defo going today to get some more chow-mein )

You can trust the staff to get your order right everytime and there's good delivery services and absolutely delicious food suited for everyone's cravings. Fast service and good prices. I really love their combo options special rices I would definitely recommend it :)

I have ordered twice from here and the food is exceptional for a takeaway. The chow mein, egg fried rice, prawn toast, teriyaki chicken, salt n pepper chips, chicken balls with sauce all taste like Chinese food "used" to be. I only ever pick up my meals and never rely on delivery, and that is the case with every takeaway i use, which i think more people should do to avoid the disappointment on delivery reliability because the food is pretty faultless for a takeaway.

Genuinely one of if not the best Chinese around Oxfordshire - food is levels above others, open kitchen so you see them cook, even a seated bar in which they offer free tea while you wait. Only Chinese we go to now!

Had a fantastic take away meal from here on Saturday, though they did forget the main element of our meal - the sweet and sour sauce for the sweet and sour chicken. We should've taken it as a sign that the people in front were complaining that their sauce was missing too! Bit of a shame as otherwise food was excellent.

Ordered for collection for the first time yesterday and it did not disappoint one bit!! The staff in the shop were friendly and the food was well cooked, flavoursome and top quality! Highly recommend the teriyaki chicken dish, completely scrumptious :) Will DEFINITELY be back for more!! Thankyou fort woks 🙌🏼ĺ

Had a great experience, ordering from this takeaway the food was delicious. There was a very helpful young boy “Hector” recommended the hot & sour soup it was fabulous. Now every time I go I order at least 3 and fill my flask up with it before work . Definitely recommend.

Really great food of a far higher standard than your normal Chinese takeaway. Their management of deliveries and collections is really awful though. It's not acceptable to tell people "it will be five minutes" and leave them waiting for over an hour past the collection time. This has happened a number of times. If you communicate better you won't have 50 people crammed ino your shop every weekend.

Really poor meal, which is a shame as the food has been excellent in the past. Ordered on Valentines day, and after 2 hours had nothing so called the main number, but no one ever picked up and eventually the place just closed so never got through to anyone. Food eventually arrived at 9:35 but was cold and mushy - really disappointing after such a long wait and on Valentines day! Seems they cannot cope on busier periods and customer service goes out the window.

Just wasted £20, I have to dumped all the food. It was horrible, too sweet for my liking. Taste like I don't know.. I can't say it was enjoyable.

I used to love ordering food from here. Delivery used to be quick. They were polite and food was tasty. Now, we ordered food over an hour and a half before closing. Didn’t show up. We tried ringing but didn’t pick up. Feel disappointed in you Fort Woks.

Food delivery estimate was 45mins when ordered. After an hour I called and listened to hold music for 15mins before food finally turned up, so 30mins late. The drink purchased was not delivered, I called and managed to speak to a gentleman who said the delivery driver would drop it off; they never showed. In terms of service experienced I'd call that a massive fail and not sure I'll order from here again.

It was ok the first few times I’ve ordered from here but tonight’s meal not so good. Unfortunately the sweet & sour chicken that came in my black bean combo didn’t have any sweet and sour sauce or taste to it. Everything tasted strongly of black bean. It was ok but I only ate half of it as got bored of the same taste. Vegetables were nice.

Very nice meal, offered free complimentary tea whilst waiting. High quality food - just loses one point as I would have preferred some peas or another veg in my prawn curry, not just onion. We will be back although will always collect as people on here suggest the delivery service is not too good. I personally like sitting there watch my food being freshly cooked whilst drinking my tea! They even gave my daughter a fortune cookie whilst we waited - that may not sound a big deal but the gesture was there which I appreciated.

Really good Chinese food, probably best I've been to between Abingdon, Wallingford Didcot, and Oxford. Competitively priced compared to the other places I have been to, but this takes nothing away from the quality and portion sizes of the food. All staff in visible kitchen are professional as well as polite serving staff. Highly recommended.

I have eaten at a lot of takeaway places. This place was different. The food was very well seasoned as you can taste the food you are eating. Open kitchen so you can see the chef's at work Working there magic.

I was one of the very first customers when Fort Works opened and I consider myself a regular customer, usually I place my orders for collection. Today I placed an order over the phone, for delivery, and I was told the food would arrive in about 30 mins. Here I am more than 2 hours later and the food hasn't arrived yet. This is unacceptable!

I popped in for a takeaway for myself and two children on impulse and found this to be a great place for Chinese. The staff are really friendly, the food ingredients very fresh and cooked perfectly. The talented guys there were working flat out as it was a Friday evening, so food took a little longer for us as we had not pre-ordered, but we were offered jasmine tea and played a quick game of speed-chess at the table whilst we waited. We all loved the food - two 'Young Hero' boxes and a 'Weary traveller' sesame prawn and chicken box were done to perfection with some extras thrown in. Well done to Herbie and the whole team - we'll be back!

After many years we decided to try the food again, the delivery time was great and overall the food was very nice. It's nice to see a takeaway keeping prices on the lower end of high. We will be trying you again soon.

I went to Fort Wok for the first time tonight and I met the lovely and helpful Ryan who took time to help me pick the most delicious meals for tonight’s dinner, I was offered tea and could sit and watch my food being cooked, music playing in the background and fantastic atmosphere I can’t recommend it enough amazing place, great food

We have ordered over the 3 years we’ve been local. Most recently menu change and website change. The food is DELICIOUS! Fresh, cooked to order and delivered HOT! Service is great and the food arrives well presented too. Taste of lots of great flavours, never overdone on the salt and pepper, definitely recommend. Also the delivery isn’t too long of a wait. They do combo boxes with lots of varieties!! Great for sharing or for pigging out 😆

Was going here regularly untill i collected my last order. Guy in a dirty gray top was cooking and then started eating the chicken balls before packing my order. Didn't wash his hands after and wasn't wearing an apron.

The portion size between ordering in person to take away vs delivery so far apart. Better to order in person. The container for delivery is half of the in person order. Finally, a good chinese takeaway in didcot! Great pricing as well. Im east asian and this is high recommended. I tried china garden and chois- unfortunately not good and too far from authentic asian food. Fort works hits the spot!

Disgraceful!! We’ve had an issue before with food never showing, and thought we’d give it one more try, disappointed was an understatement. Saturday 21st: Having ordered food well within the times of the opening hours, our order was accepted, great. Even had the times of expected delivery and again thought nothing of it. Unfortunately the end time came and no food arrived, despite being told via the just eat app that it was “on its way”. I left a little time pass however after 20 mins thought this was getting a little too much. Tried calling restaurant, for my call to be cut off, tried a few times all the same. Unfortunately our food never arrived, needless to say this was our dinner, which unfortunately meant we had to grab a quick something. We’ve had delivery before with no issues however after 2 failed orders never materialising, I won’t be wasting my time again with this restaurant.

Great food as always. This Chinese is a game changer. Amazing style of cooking which is so different to all the other Chinese takeaways in Didcot. Give it a go you won’t be disappointed.

Have had a number of ‘take outs’ from this kitchen and generally very good. However, they can’t seem to get some preparations right… for example, the beef (in beef in black bean) is usually completely inedible and tough, why this is I’m not sure but it isn’t just a one off as I’ve tried it a few times and spoken to others who agree it’s just not worth ordering. If you order the right things, great!!! But there are some consistent stinkers to avoid.

Ordered today, collected ourselves which was super quick. Lady in the counter was a delight and informed us that they make not be able to give change but as it was silvers, that's fine. Food wise Yummy chips were spicier than elsewhere which is fine but they were also damper. We ordered these alongside rolls so maybe they took away from the quality of each but I wouldn't know for sure from this order alone, but I'd still advise to not order this way. (Noone wants a soggy bottom) Seaweed. Smaller portion than served elsewhere locally busy I was cool with that because YUM!!! Just order two, worth it!! Chicken chow mein. Yummy, good size portion however I do question the quality of the chicken. Beef fried rice was great. Beef fabulous and a decent ratio between rice and beef. Hats off! Fortune cookies I imagine to be ordered in so I don't like to say to much but fortunes are dull while the cookies itself is fine. I hope this helps people put in working out where to order from :)

Tried it on a wim, but very surprised with food. Rips nice and meaty and very tasty, special fried rice was the best I have had in a long time, chilly beef lots of flavour and crispy. It all came 20 minutes early. Will definitely get food from here again.

Unfortunately, I have to leave a negative review for this restaurant. While on a weekend trip to Didcot, I ordered food online. Despite receiving an order confirmation, the food never arrived. For the next two weeks, I tried to get my money back. I was ignored, redirected to different places, and my emails and calls went unanswered. The customer service at this restaurant is appalling. This is one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a restaurant. I will never order from this place again. I strongly advise against ordering anything from here. Finally when refund was agreed instead of getting it I was charged again …. And after that I finally got my money back . Stay away

Just got a takeaway, the chips were completely uncooked and the chicken cold

The food is so bad,it's just so bland and there's no taste to it at all,the fried rice the rice is not cooked properly and the spring rolls are like eating them from a supermarket

So, the website isn’t the best to navigate and I thought (and still do) I ordered for delivery but turned out it was a collection order. Luckily to restaurant phoned me and within a few minutes they delivered my order - THANK YOU! The banquet box is more than enough for 4 adults and good flavours and the pork chow mien was nice. Will definitely order again soon.

Ordered take away on Saturday and had to wait almost 2 hours for the food, which was 1 hour longer than the estimated time they gave for collection.

Second time visiting this place and both times the staff have been unpleasant thinking they are far beyond there cliantel. visiting with young children and very rude as they are very busy and think they are above there costumers. Very disappointed and will be spreading the word. As a I have be told about this from other Customers. With the 2 stars on the doors rating they clearly think of themselves and not the customer.

I placed an order online and asked for no veg in my chow mein it came with veg phoned them and they said if I went food with no veg I have to phone so they told me I would have to eat as it wouldn't make since to send out more as it would take another 45mins to be delivered I said that it was fine and I would wait it turned up again exactly the same as the first one right at closing time so i couldn't ring them or go to them so my both food delivery's went in the bin and I wasted my money not very happy but the delivery man was very nice and apologised on there behalf

Placed an order for over £90 on Saturday night at 7.10pm... received the order at 9.45pm. Absolutely unacceptable service. I was told it would be 45 mins to 1 hour for delivery. I called to chase at 8.30pm to be told the delivery driver would be back in 10 mins to collect our order and then deliver - we are about 15 mins away so thought 30 mins max. Tried calling again just after 9pm but they close and disconnect their phone lines so you're screwed. I emailed on the night, again the next day, and again the next...no response yet. Absolutely mental customer service - or lack of! Also good luck getting through on the phone, I was on hold 10-15 mins before my calls was even answered. Won't be using or recommending Fort Woks again. Edit- update on 12/03 I’ve emailed every day and tried calling (but being on hold for 5/10/ mins I give up) and not one response from this place. Disgusting service and disgusting management. Avoid at all costs.

Worst service I have ever come across, lucky if you can contact them by phone and when you finally do your lucky if all your order actually comes complete. Had delivery issues with this place before but thought we would give them another try, safe to say we will never buy food from this place again.

The food is really good. And the staff are friendly. Only downside is if you book online, you only find out after you’ve paid that it’ll be 1.5-2hrs delivery. Very slow delivery.

I wouldn’t say this Chinese has the wow factor but the food is nice , it’s probably not somewhere I would eat again but that’s not saying the food is bad just didn’t do it for me to eat again , I also asked for chicken omelette with no veg and I got a chicken chow mein with veg but it’s okay , I did it eat this but would of rather of had what I ordered no worries , just an honest review of my experience

STAY AWAY First time using this Chinese. Waiting over a hour for delivery. Tried calling to ask where it was. Nobody answering phone. Then it came. £60. We were missing a dish we rang up to find rude response. The food was hard and stone cold. We had to microwave our £60 Chinese. 40mins have passed and have no missing dish. Very disappointed.
