Golden Grill Kebab House in Southwark

Went at 2am after a gig Now admittedly a man of my BMI Shouldn’t be buying a kebab or doner wrap But that’s where my guilt ends The paper was dripping wet having asked for the most minimal amount of garlic Mayo my chicken doner was subsequently smothered in 3 types of white sauce . The wrap was Handed to me vertically by which ever point the mass inside the paper had completely cascaded in on itself . The chillis inside were the texture of old cardboard The paper and bread merged completely into one , as I was coming to the end of the experience I had the embarrassment of bumping into my bandmate on his way home . When he saw i was eating he said what’s that , can I have a bit , in fact gosh that looks disgusting . Please sort your presentation out

The best Turkish food I ever had! Been there multiple times now. Definitely will be returning there very soon! Extremely satisfied!

Working late in Camberwell and was recommended this place by one of the guys on site. Mixed grill for two, £30. Brilliant, definitely coming back.

By far the best kebab house in south east London. Has a seating area. Can watch your food be cooked fresh in front of you on the grill

Thé best falafels i've ate in my life ! And the pita were home made and excellent! Actually, everything was excellent! Highly recommanded.

Kofta for lunch. With salad and rice. Washed down with a Diet Coke. Ten quid. Very tasty and superb chilli sauce. Enjoy.

I've been here a few times over the years for falafel. Tonight was a bit disappointing. Really friendly guy behind the counter but falafel need to be freshly deep fried, not warmed up on the grill. Claggy and not crispy at all. Cheap gritty houmous too. Bit of a let down really.

I cannot rate this place highly enough! They are getting so many things right here. Complimentary hummus, olives and pita bread to begin. Beautifully cooked chicken shish kebab. Excellent salad. Large portion of lamb ribs. Excellent value for money 💰 Plus super friendly staff. Definite family feel to the place too. We absolutely loved it and will definitely be back soon. Outstanding in all areas. New favourite restaurant!

This place is situated in the hub of Camberwell. They serve wholesome food. The falafel is great, the humus ad tzatziky is tasty and the service at the tables is gracious and efficient. The house Turkish wine it's inexpensive and adequate. Great place where to go for late dinner. Great team and excellent value for money.

Went down to Camberwell green for a late night dinner--- delighted to learn they are open until 10pm. The staff is accommodating and attentive, the place is clean and homey, and they gave us enough time to go through the menu. And they gave is free dessert on the house, which was fantastic--- some pistacchio baklavas--- which was not on the menu--- perhaps its their own food and they wanted to share it with us--- luckily, its one of our all time favorites. Food comes in big servings (at least big enough for us), and the complimentary bread and dips is filling on its own. Tried their grilled burger before and it was perfect, this time we had chicken cutlets with rice and salad.

I have been coming here for 15 years after work, with friends, with family. Came tonight at 12.30am after work and again had a great meal. Fresh food great staff. Don’t take away, sit in the back, relax and enjoy the great food on offer !!! A real gem in the heart of Camberwell ❤️❤️

Always come here for lunch after visiting the hairdressers in camberwell. It's a kebab shop but actually it's more than that. Go through to the restaurant part and you will find friendly table service and good food. The portions are a good size and the price is very reasonable too. They cater for vegetarians - I had the halloumi kebab

Food is absolutely lovely. We ate in and the service is amazing, Earkan is especially a lovely staff member that made us feel welcome! We will be back shortly!!!

The portions are presented professionally and taste great. very funny staff and even hung out with the main chef on his break. funny guy, barely knew him but we laughed and joked like old friends

Came here after a night out. I admit it was late and I had consumed a few drinks. The spot was bumping, which was a good sign. Staff were friendly and although the choices are standard, they were done well. The restaurant has lots of seating hidden in the back which is nice. I had a falafel wrap which was large in size, hot, and fresh. I heard the guy after me order a 'falloumi' wrap (falafel and halloumi) and that's definitely what I will be getting next time. Note: This place only takes cash

We dropped by for a couple of lamb donners. They were really huge, tasty and inexpensive. Generous with the salads as well. This place needs mention as so many others charge more for less.

Viernes noche cena con la familia. Parece una comida para llevar desde el exterior, pero a pie de la, pasando por la cola para llevar y hay un buen restaurante sin pretensiones. Acogedor, no hay servicio de alboroto y cuando la comida llega, es sabrosa, buena comida de calidad con generosas porciones. Busque la interesante colección de luz sombra.

Fui allí por primera vez ayer y tenía un pollo doner envoltura por 5£. Era enorme y muy sabroso! Estaba lleno de allí, pero no tuve que esperar mucho tiempo para nuestra comida. Los trabajadores aún estaban atentos y muy amables. Todo el mundo estaba riendo y divirtiéndose. Gran ambiente

Me compré un Döner kebab, carne alemana esperaba en el pan. En su lugar, la carne estaba escondiendo el pan y era imposible de comer como un sandwich.

Encontré este lugar el otro día. Tienen buena kebabs que vienen con una generosa porción de ensalada. Hay una zona, que yo no he probado, pero parece bueno, con un ambiente relajado. El personal es amable. Creo que voy a ser un cliente regular aquí!

I am regular well former regular. This place has been in Camberwell as Long as I remember, the first time I visited in 1989 when I was 17. The shop changed and staff changed. However, food quality never changed, certainly the best Donner kebab and Shish and Mix kebab in town. They do nice Wraps as well. I was living in Camber well for few years, always my favorite night out take away. Moved from the area 4 years ago. But, I still come down from time to time and if I am around Camberwell Area. Without a doubt The best Kebab joint in town in my opinion.

What more can I say apart from this place does the best kebabs in the whole of south london I eat here at least twice a week and the portions are good for the prices they charge

Golden Grill is the best kebab place in London (well, that's my opinion). As soon as you step into the shop the staff make so much effort to welcome you and chat, their energy is fantastic. Im local and after a night out love to stop by and order their falafel with chips - for only £5 this really is an amazing deal... Generous portion of delicious falafel with all the extras you would expect. Don't be put off by the long queue - this guys work fast!

Very greasy food, guy picking his nose standing behind the counter, fly's crawling all over the burgers, chicken etc in display cabinet.

Firstly, i am amazed why Golden Grill is not on TripAdvisor. There are queues for this popular local kebab house throughout the night.I am from East London and a frequently visit here with friends as the food is amazing. A bonus is that it is open until 3am and compared to other eateries, this is the best bet.The staff are VERY friendly and are keen to crack a joke or two!!The food is fresh and flavorsome!The toilets are clean (which is my personal baseline for any restaurant i visit!)I cannot wait for my next visit!
