Prices have gone up and quality down. 2 kebabs, 1 mini fish, 2 battered sausages, 2 chips and a curry sauce for almost £40 absolute rip off. The quality has gone down over the past 12 months. Wont be going back

The food is very delicious and tasty, I've tried so many other takeaway places in Worcester but keep coming back to this takeaway, you will never find another takeaway in Worcester that sell delicious food that you can really enjoy like here. I've tried many other places and had to throw the food away in the bin but I'm very very happy with the food from here. A big THANK YOU FOR YOUR DELICIOUS TASTY FOOD.

We have been using this place for years and the food is excellent. Never had a bad meal. I am unsure about some of the poor reviews. The staff have always been lovely to us and the food fabulous.

Their opening hours are advertised as closing at 8.30pm. Twice now we have been there at around 8.05pm and they’ve been cleaning up and won’t do anything that isn’t just chips or whatever very sorry-looking fish they’ve got lurking round. Give it a miss!

We have never been disappointed with the food from the Golden Gourmet, it is always delivered piping hot and on time. Excellent service, this is our go-to fish and chip take-away!

If you order a takeaway in advance and are given a collection time, you don't expect to be shouted at rudely and ordered to the back of a very long queue without any explanation. If their "system" involves extensive waiting after the stated collection time, this should be made absolutely clear when ordering. Couldn't possibly order from them in future or recommend them to anyone.

We ordered fish and chips x 5 via the Golden Gourmet's order website Just-Eat. Cost £43.80 including Just-Eat's 50p "service charge". Chose collection rather than delivery and were given a time. This was the first time we had used this shop, but it looked good and worth a try. Turned up at the specified time to collect, found a queue of people outside and were told in no uncertain terms to get to the back of the queue. Time was of the essence, we were unable to wait and so were obliged to walk away without our paid-for food order. What's the point of pre-ordering and being given a collection time? Go elsewhere!

Review: Bushwhackers Worcester I attended an over-30s house music event at Bushwhackers on Saturday and was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the moment I walked in. The first thing that hit me was the awful smell in the bar area. It was like mouldy old feet—just disgusting. It made me wonder when the place was last properly cleaned because it really didn’t feel well-maintained. The toilets were even worse. No toilet seats, no hand dryers, and no tissues to dry your hands. I had to go to the bar to get some napkins, which isn’t ideal. The whole place just felt unclean, with cobwebs everywhere. That said, the outdoor area was lovely. Loads of disco balls, neon lights, and a nice seating area with its own bar. It’s well-designed and visually impressive, which is a real contrast to the inside. The final straw for me was the attitude of one of the bouncers. I smiled at him, and he scowled back. I’m a woman in my 50s, out supporting local DJs, and to be greeted like that was just rude and unnecessary. Between the smell, the lack of cleanliness, and the unfriendly staff, I won’t be returning to Bushwhackers. A shame, because the event itself had potential.

41A St JohnsHave used the Hing Tai for 30+ years, and this was the first time since it recently changed hands - and it will be the last. Beef curry thin and watery with no “bite” and hardly any meat. Sweet and Sour chicken balls had a nicer coating, but the meat was dangerously pink and undercooked - and one of them was even prawn rather than chicken, would be concerning if I had a shellfish allergy. No criticism of the front of house staff, and it was at least ready on time - but that’s the last time we’ll be using them.

28 The Cross WorcesterI don’t usually complain over something so simple but this really annoyed me. Ordered from JustEat, terrible experience, no refund for missing item, phoned with no response, awful portion sizes for the cost. Would not recommend.

Blackpole retail parkSlowest McDonalds in the world! Always takes a good 10-20 mins for the food to be ready and even then there's usually something missing (straws, sauce etc). Staff are rude if you dare to chase up your order. There's never enough tables at peak times either.
