Golden Flakes Bakery in Newham

I bought 24 patties for my cousins birthday party and every-one was asking where i bought them from as they were so delicious

Unfortunately very sad to write this as the patties are really good. I placed an order well in advance but when I got to the place for collection my order wasn’t even ready despite me giving them a time of collection. I had drove over an hour to get to this place, I felt there was no customer service at all. I was left waiting at the counter for 20 minutes only to be asked to come back in a couple of hours. I had to ask if they could give me a discount on some other patties that I didn’t even want. I felt that they should have offered a gesture of good will to me seen as the error was on there part. Unfortunately the service is very very slow and you are just left at the counter.

La comida era muy buena y los precios decentes, sus empanadas son increíbles y su arroz de curry de cabra y guisantes. Definitivamente volvere.

Golden flakes surely do the best patties in London. I travel all the way from NW London for them. They are the closest to the patties I grew up on in Jamaica and at a great price too. A real hidden gem.

There are a few Carribean restaurants/ takeaways in Stratford. But upon recomendations from work mates i eagerly tried it out. 1st visit i ordered 3 patties Jerk Lamb and Beef. the crust is thick soft yet flakey. so on the next visit i asked for 4 patties but the polite sales lady asked if id want to buy 6 for £5 which is a bargain as i planned to let my wife and kids try them too, these came in two 3 packs. 1 set Jerk and the other beef. my wife and kids Loved them. But i did also order the curry lamb!!! rice with beans was nice and the curry lamb was cooked well and tasted great. it had a couple of cooked banana pieces as well. I will be back very soon to try everything else on the menu

My first visit to Golden Flakes today & I had jerk chicken with rice & pea.... it was superb! Tasty, pleasantly spiced & a decent portion (I had the large meal). Will definitely use this place again!!

This place is seriously under rated and unknown, its a well kept secret. the flavors and authenticity are divine! cheap, amazing, tasty and friendly.

Had patties from this location before but really wanted to try the chicken curry. Wow!! Fantastic and so tasty. Highly recommend.

I have discovered Caribbean Cuisine thanks to the lovely ladies of Golden Flakes! The patties that I have tried before didn't impress me at all. But only when I tried their patties, I understood what the real patty should taste like!If you are in Stratford, pop in and try this lovely food! Their chicken soup is worth to die for!The patties are amazing!
