Food was disgusting . They have rodents hidden in the secret stew and I think I have contaminated level 10 aids would not recommend ps the Chinese guy is very angry follow up on Issac I to licked his ear lobe and he decided it would be funny to use his Chinese king fu on me so me not taking any of it threw my infant baby at him taking him clean off of his feet he then poured the secret aids stew into my eyes and what I saw next scared me for life I saw 2 big black guys with their sacks out hitting the thug shake on the Chinese man 10/10 would recommend the experience

We have made this place a little new years eve tradition now this is our 3rd year in a row and never been disappointed at all. Its only a small restaurant but great food and relaxed atmosphere too make it a lovely little place to eat ...

We have been going the golden empire for years as a family of 23.also home delivery. Never had a problem until now. Tonight 8/11/23. We ordered food for our T. I asked for no chilli yet my chickens were full of them. Also the food was only slightly warm. Most of it went in the bin. Wasted almost £20.

Visited the golden empire this evening for my nephew’s 16th birthday what a place to eat in or take away the food was fantastic service was amazing made to feel right at home so friendly and welcoming atmosphere and surroundings was clean beautifully decorated can’t do enough for you prices are fair for the amount food you get to best Chinese restaurant in Liverpool in my book thanks to Julie and all the staff at the golden empire for a great night really enjoyed spending the time their with the family would highly recommend the golden empire to anyone either sit in or take away.

I’ve been coming here with my partner and his family for about 20 years. It’s a family run business and they’re lovely. Recently they’ve had to ask customers to pay before they order their food as some people have been running out before the bill arrives which is heartbreaking. The food is always fantastic and there’s a good range to order from which is very reasonably priced.

The nicest Chinese going, not to be knocked because of its location. Went with our toddler son on a Saturday night and the staff were amazing with him. The best crispy chilli chicken I’ve ever had. Thank you Golden Empire, see you soon!

I ordered food for delivery noodles with vegetables am vegan and am disappointed because was bits of ometto in my meal.curry sauce Good and aslo spring rolls but way too spicy I only ordered spring rolls but strange round things came in the same box.please in future don't add egg to a vegan dish thanks as I plan to vist restaurant.

Absolute amazing place. The staff can't do enough for you from the second you walk in. The atmosphere is good nice chilled setting. The food is perfect, cooked perfect and nice and hot. Would highly recommend to anyone. You will go away feeling bloated. But you can take any food left home in a takeaway box.

Ordered a takeaway on recommendation. Please do not order the chicken/sweetcorn soup. Offered to exchange but for what. Some semblence of chicken in the way of stock maybe the way forward. But Avoid at all cost. Tastless. The Fried stuff passable won't be returning. Far better takeaways round here.

Beautiful Food. Been there many A Time Always Nice.

Initially intended to go to Phoenix Palace but it is closed on a Monday, by a sheer fluke we ended up in this sensation little restaurant, the staff were amazing & the food was exceptional, tasty, and extremely plentiful. Very child friendly, couldn't do enough for them, they have even converted our 5 & 6 year olds from McDonald's to Chinese cuisine. We will be back 100% amazing !

Cosy place but the staff seemed not to understand their own menu, we ordered the veg chow mein with crispy noodles, which was displayed as a choice on their menu, the meal was nice but we won't go back because we were charged £10.50 for 2 plates of plain crispy noodles that apparently we ordered as a side to the veg chow mein which had soft noodles. The manager then either lied to us or repeated a lie from their waitress that we specifically order extra noodles. Why would anyone order two plates of noodles and two sides of different plain noodles? We paid bc we were tired and cba arguing but should have just walked out, no wonder they have signs saying customers might have to pay up front.

Order at 5:45pm and delivery came quite quickly after that. Delivery driver was lovely and delivery was included in the order price as had ordered so much. Minimum order for delivery is £8 and in that case delivery is £1. Much cheaper than uber eats and much quicker. I was happy with the food except the spring rolls had a thick pastry on them and I like the small, light, really crispy ones. Other than that it was great. Beef and black bean with chips Red chilli crispy chicken with boiled rice Crispy lamb with pancakes Spring rolls And got some free potato things not sure what they are And free prawn crackers

Used to eat here all the time, used to eat Inside and takeaway, it USED to be lovely but standards have dropped and some of the food I used to love has dropped in standard can't afford to waste money on food that I can't eat.

Very tasty food, I had a chicken satay and I even ate the vegetables (I don't usually eat vegetables, but the sauce was really nice). Staff were friendly and the salt and pepper chips were banging 👌 would defo come here again, thanks!

Ordered duck chicken sweetcorn soup,salt pepper chicken with fried rice. Spring rolls. Only the duck was eatable. Very very very poor indeed. No chicken in the soup which was very yellow. Burnt rice. Too much batter on chicken. Vile. Complete waste of £26.00. An a 4 pound tip.

Como de costumbre, no nos decepcionó, la comida era excelente y abundante, el servicio excelente, el personal es muy servicial y amable, nada es demasiado para ellos. Se proporcionó una silla alta para el uso de nuestro nieto de 6 meses. Nos hicieron sentir muy bienvenidos y como era temprano el domingo por la noche casi teníamos el restaurante para nosotros solos. Volveremos pronto

Seeing as my hotel do not provide food in the week, I decided to go for a wander and came across this gem of a place. Extensive menu but what was amazing as the 4 course dinner for £13. I settled for hot and sour soup (with crackers), salt and pepper chicken starter.and chicken curry with rice for main. (Couldn't manage dessert). Lovely food, well cooked, piping hot, great portions (photos below) and a really friendly service. I will definitely return before I return home.

Mi esposo no pidió cebolla, tuvo que escoger las cebollas para que se las dijeran después de que era col. De Verdad. Repollo gracioso que sabía a cebolla porque lo probé. Se suponía que se trataba de carne de res chow mein que se parecía más a los súper fideos sin gustos en absoluto. Mi comida también era horrible. Pedí pollo agridulce, el pollo estaba duro. Y la salsa era básica nada especial. Dejé la mayor parte de eso. La mejor parte fueron las 2 botellas de cerveza corona. 25 desperdicio de dinero. Mi consejo es evitar que esté vacío porque es una basura.

This restaurant been here for over 30 years and the new owner took over for 5 years. The service is beyond standard Julie are absolutely amazing couldn’t thank her more! She will go out her way to please everyone and she make sure other staffs do the same! Would definitely recommend the 16£ menu with 5 course include soup starter, duck, main course and dessert !! We would definitely come back and will bring more friends here next time !! Once again thank you golden empire !

Unfortunately this restaurant is happy to take bookings but has not enough staff to cope at all. Just 2 young staff to cope with a full restaurant and do take away orders! We had to wait about 30 mins just to be asked if we wanted a drink. the main meal very very late and it was warm not hot food. No one came back to check if we were happy during our meal and we was Very disappointed as we were looking forward to going after reading all the good reviews. We would not go to this restaurant again.

Camarera era increíble y realmente nos cuidó. Comida maravillosa ya un precio razonable. Definitivamente vale la pena una visita. Volveremos. Can't really give this mess a star. This has to be the worst food, worst service best way to ruin a family gathering, several of us ill afterwards, chicken cold on inside, just avoid it, seriously should be closed.

Acabamos de tener nuestra comida de Navidad en el imperio dorado y fue excepcional. Éramos 20 que teníamos el especial de Navidad de 5 platos, así que habríamos entendido si el servicio fuera un poco lento, pero Julie fue increíble. ! Toda nuestra comida salió rápidamente y muy caliente cada plato estaba delicioso y con una excelente relación calidad-precio. Recomendaríamos totalmente el restaurante debido al servicio cordial y excelente comida, sopa caliente y amarga muy sabrosa y frituras. Gracias Julie y el resto del personal volveremos.

Visitamos aquí regularmente ya que la comida es deliciosa, una gran relación calidad-precio y es local. La última vez que fuimos era diferente ya que tenía un servidor antiguo en nuestra mesa que tenía problemas con nosotros pagando con tarjeta. Decia que fue rechazada a pesar de dinero en el banco. Teníamos que cruzar la carretera para máquina de efectivo y recuperar efectivo y cuando miré el recibo decía cancelada no rechazada. No sé por qué quiso pagar sólo en efectivo. Además, mi hermana era repartir la factura al otro lado de diferentes tarjetas y fue quejado debido a cargos de tarjeta el restaurante hubiera debido a numerosos pagos con tarjeta. Esta fue una mesa de trabajo en el sector 12 y hospitalidad previamente y regularmente comer como persona este comportamiento parecía extraño. El restaurante tiene una comida riquísima de ahí nuestra frecuentes visitas. Sin embargo, dado que este incidente me han impedido de regresar.

No habíamos estado aquí por un tiempo, aunque no tome siempre orden regular. Éramos 6 de nosotros y elegimos uno de los primeros banquetes nocturno ofrece a un precio razonable. Todos los platos y el servicio eran excelentes. Fue genial estar con la opción de un poco de tiempo entre campos que ayuda realmente cuando estás teniendo un banquete. Sin duda comer aquí.

Fui con mi marido en un lugar sábado noche estaba vacío. Nos dieron dos de pollo y sopa de champiñones, que estaba bien. Fuente entrante ordenó la mixta que era todo cubierto de grasa brillante. Las gambas en la tostada de gambas era invisible y era más como el pan. Algas y rollitos de primavera rebosa con grasa. Sal y pimienta sal Sui Mi no tenía sabor y pimienta a ellos y esta era de £9. 80 por cabeza. Qué desperdicio. Pedimos carne para principal en chili y salsa de ajo. Nunca he probado la salsa como antes, pero sin duda no sabían como chili o ajo. La carne era también muy grasos y otra vez grasienta. Las patatas fritas eran exageradas y grasienta también el arroz frito. La señora en el restaurante visto que nada era tocado en la comida principal y nos preguntó si estábamos completo que explique todo lo anterior y dijo que lo siento y me trajeron la factura. No era dinero deducido y no soy una persona que espera este ya que no soy un quejica. Pero yo jamás volver y sin duda no lo recomendaría.

This is one of my favourite Chinese. It’s very clean and well presented. The food is amazing every time. The prices are great. The staff are just lovely , a lovely family feel to it. Makes you feel really at home. You’d be a fool not to go and try it for yourselves x
