My friend and I were looking for a quick dinner as we had to catch a show. We ordered the roasted pork and Peking duck along with a side of egg fried rice, it was good but nothing amazing. The servers were really attentive and friendly, also helpful with my food allergies. The dim sum looks good so I would come back to try.

Never before have I complained about food even if the dish was poor but this place deserves my first review . Ribs with no meat and duck that was full of bones and stuck in my teeth . My husband had spare ribs which had no meat on , then his main which was duck with black bean and chilli sauce had bone after bone in , so much so he had a bone stuck in his tooth, when we complained we were told there is supposed to be bone in it ,never before have we had this . ( surely this should say on the menu may contain bone ) The crispy seaweed also had no taste and was very stringy. The chicken in my dish was processed chicken and not real . When we paid our bill they took off the duck and we asked to remove the service charge and they were very rude .never before complained in a restaurant t even if the meal wasn't satisfactory but this was simply the worst Chinese we've ever had and spoilt our day out .

Worst Chinese meal I've ever eaten. This restaurant used to be my go to in China Town 20 years ago along with the Royal Dragon. Crispy Duck was greasy with very little lean meat. Pancakes were so thin you could hardly split them and got 5 for 2 people. Shredded spring onion and chopped cucumber weren't freshly chopped. Plum sauce was disgusting. Who wants a deep fried spare rib with no meat on it in a Mix Hors D'oeuvres? And shredded beef for Mains, again disgusting, and obviously there to save money because there is almost no meat in it. Restaurant was tired looking with covers on the chairs. Older Chinese waitress who served us was miserable and ignored our greeting on arrival. Eastern European waitress who helped with some of the serving was friendly and lovely. I'm never going back to this restaurant or China Town! The food is exactly the same as it was in the 70s and 80s but just much, much worse.

Was a regular customer but haven't been for about a year ...... wow what a shocking surprise !!! Have they changed their dim sum chef ??? Has Chinese tea gone up by that much ...... don't think so as I have excellent Chinese tea at home ..... £2.50 per person for two teaspoons of tea leaves with four refills of boiling water totalling £10 for four persons and they charge 15% service charge on top for that on the total bill ..... DAYLIGHT ROBBERY. The quality of the dim sum has gone down, the price has increased and the portions have shrunk considerably no wonder the restaurant was rather empty compared to my many other previous visits. Two meat spring rolls each no longer than 5 inches long for £7.80 ..... 3 taro croquettes £6.20 with no exaggeration the size of a pork dumpling and a third of the size they used to be ....... 3 shiao lung dumplings £6.20 which are half the size of the ones from the speciality dumpling restaurant across the road which are cheaper. I always recommended this restaurant to friends and those who follow my reviews as I KNOW my food and will always give a fair review but unfortunately CANNOT do so after this visit. I am well aware that prices have increased for food but defu not to that extent where the quality goes down, the price goes up and the portions shrink to that extent. The business of all the surrounding restaurants will endorse my comments. Sad to see a restaurant with so many years of providing and serving top class dim sum lose its standing. To charge more and go down on BOTH your quality and quantity is not what one does to complete in today's very competitive food industry.

Sorry to contradict some of the reviews I have read on this place already but our experience was not a good one. We were a group of 8 as a family and had food from both a set meal option and alacart. I must say service was terrible and food was nothing special. The delay in food coming to the table meant that it turned into a very long evening and some of us had lost our appetite and one of our party felt ill (don't think it was anything to do with the resteraunt) and she had to keep queueing for the toilet every time she felt sick and in the end had to leave early with her partner. We also asked for drinks that did not all get provided, I know we could have asked at the time but we did not want to prolong our experience any longer Sorry guys but I think your staff let you down ! My meal did not arrive... My friends meal did. I waited over 15 mins and then had to ask someone where my food was... No apology at all. Over 15 mins later after my friend had finished her meal, my chicken and cashew nuts arrived without the rice. I waited again, for over 10 mins and once again, had to get the staff's attention to ask where my rice was. My meal was now cold. 5 mins later rice arrived. No apology or even a comment from story faced waitress. I told her my chicken dish was now cold. She took it away with no comment and did not come back with my food. After 15 ish more mins we just got up and asked for the bill. She had the nerve to ask if I wanted the cancel my order???.... Insult to injury, we were given the bill which had a £4.50 service charge added !!! My first night in London and I had no evening meal. Avoid this place at all costs

Delicious dim sum and spacious floors. The soup dumplings are amazing, so as fried cuttlefish cakes. Also love the garlic morning glory (a bit pricey). I also had half roast duck for takeaway. As I ordered a lot, by the time I asked for the bill, a lady came and examined my table and saw I didn't finish everything. Unfriendly customer service, underwhelming food (undercooked chicken), and weird atmosphere. The first thing you see when you enter is that they have the right to refuse service to anyone, which was odd. We asked for hot water, which they told us would be charged £2.50 as 'tea' for one person. We've requested for hot water at so many restaurants and have never been charged for it. Again, this was odd but we went along with it. We found the food okay ish, it was more bland than expected. When it came to paying the bill, we requested for the already added service charge to be removed. This led to the manager being offended and questioning as to why we wanted to remove it and if the service was bad. As I didn't want to be mean, I pointed out to her that the service charge was optional and I would like for it be removed. After having to repeat myself 2-3 times, she had the service charge removed. Although not necessarily linked to the poor service, I was in the toilet for 10 minutes and my door was knocked at atleast 8 times by a customer who kept entering and leaving the bathroom despite me saying I was in there every time. She also kept trying to open the door despite me saying I'm in there. There were 2 toilets. Weirdest trip to the loo I've ever had. It didn't seem like the servers/manager were able to sort the situation here.

Short wait of 5 min, they then opened upstairs because of more customers. Had dim sum. Never eat anything else but dim sum in these Chinese restaurants in China town. That's where you will see the low scores. Also do not order standard chinese takeaway food! Not worth it and mediocre. Ordered 5 dim sums for two peoole. It was enough. Quite expensive. Tasted good but the rice dish was small. Not much of a service. Hold onto your chopsticks if you don't want your food taken away. Have eaten here for decades but because of tourism, it's gone downhill ie small portions, serve to the masses and expensive. A generous 4.2.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this Cantonese restaurant and I must say, the dim sum was absolutely delicious. The hor fun was cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of wok hei, giving it that smoky flavor that I love. The steamed dumplings were also a standout dish, with thin skins that were delicate and flavorful. I appreciated that the wrappers were not thick and doughy, allowing the filling to shine through. What's even better is that the prices were very reasonable, making it a great option for those looking for a tasty meal that won't break the bank. I will definitely be returning to try more of their offerings and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Cantonese cuisine.

Mid Chinese restaurant in the heart of Chinatown. Portions are big, so I'd say it works more as a sharing type restaurant between big groups. The special fried rice was enough to feed 3-4 people! However there is a £10 minimum spend per person so you'd have to order a couple dishes to share. Waitress lost our order and it took forever to pay which was a downside. Just average, nothing special

Rude customer service by waitress named VERA. We were not that hungry because we had some snacks before coming in, so ordered a soup and 2 main dishes and told the waitress that we will order more later if we felt more hungry. The waitress became visibly annoyed and said that we have to order more dishes as there is a minimum of 10 pounds per person. We said we will order more, but in case we cannot finish the food, can we get some takeaway boxes as we do not wish to waste food. The waitress again looked very annoyed and muttered something in chinese/Cantonese in front of us. She reluctantly agreed. We wanted to walk out but had already placed the order so didn't want to create a scene. Very unprofessional staff making customers feel unwelcomed. Serious staff training needed. Also the food portions were huge so we had to take half of the food home We thought of not paying the service charge which was advertised as discretionary, then after reading the reviews realised that they create a lot of ruckus and will insult us if we don't pay it so decided to pay the charge. Service charge should be advertised as mandatory here, not discretionary. At the end, we informed the manager that the policy of 10 pounds per person should be advertised so that customers are aware of it, then the manager was rude saying that in London all restaurants are like that and if we had small appetite, we should've gone to a cafe, not a restaurant. When I informed that that's not the case, I have lived here since 3 years and have been eating out a lot and this policy is not there, he laughed at me saying that he has been living here for 45 years. So what?! The fact that 10 pounds per person minimum order is not there in other restaurants! We have no issues with a restaurant having its own terms and conditions but they should be ADVERTISED properly. Very rude manager and restaurant waitress, both should not be working in customer service.

Dropped by for a quick lunch with a friend wanting a hot option for lunch and being a huge fan of dim sum. Ordered the lunch time option of a basket of dim sum, crackers and sticky rice. It was ok and did the job of filling me up, but I was not particularly impressed given the overall blandness of the food and for the price paid, a smaller portion than I would expect. The dim sum also felt overcooked and lacked the springy firm quality to the dough. This was particularly surprising given how it's owned by Ping Pong, who I would expect to be a bit more exacting with standards. I would not be returning and would rather spend a bit more time and money in a proper dim sum restaurant.
