Good and cheap restaurant (15 Pounds all you can eat)...

Excellent meal on a busy Saturday evening. Full restaurant but only a could have minutes wait. No rushing us. Great set menus and Vegetarian choice.

We came about 3 years ago and it was excellent but it has now changed and is acceptable but mediocre

Food is good, but staff is very rude. they want you to order and leave as quick as possible

We had awesome dim sum again. Still an amazing place. And the service is always very good, fun, and considerate.

The price-quality ratio is probably average. We didn't have much time to look for a restaurant, but we will definitely make room for it next time or have a meal somewhere in the kiosk, which is really good there.

I tried duck and crispy pork at Golden Dragon in Chinatown London - and it was excellent! Crispy, juicy and tastes great. Plus filling and delicious. Unfortunately the wonton soup was very poor.

Great food - authentic Chinese banquet for two

Mediocre food, on top of that, they are very racist, if you are not local, they preasure you to spend all your money or they ask you to leave. In the front table, two locals were drinking just water for half an hour. Horrible experience.

Good food, quick service… not much more to ask for! I’ve been here for dinner and dim sum, and I would recommend both. Menu is huge so everyone can easily find what they’re looking for. The Har Gow is good and came out piping hot. Loved the crispy chilli beef. Chow Fun noodles were the star of the evening. Can never go wrong with Cha siu bao

I don’t understand the negative reviews. This is a traditional, no-nonsense establishment that doesn’t operate like a tourist trap. Portions are large, prices are fair, no nickel-and-diming or shenanigans. The roast duck is really well done! The atmosphere is calm and cosy—as if one entered a different realm. Highly recommended!

The owner is very racist, if you are not from London, save yourself some trouble. We were preasured to eat fast, pay and leave, the owner kept looking at our table, talking to their employees in chinese, asking us multiple times to order more food. Horrible experience.

My favourite chinese restaurant in china town. Been coming for almost 20 years and service is always impecable, food is always excellent. If you want a good quality clean place visit them.

I've eaten here several times. Although busy, I've never not gotten a table. The food is very good. Although not the cheapest nearby, the quality is better than some of the cheaper restaurants I've tried in the area. I like the atmosphere in there, and the staff are always friendly and quick to serve

Qué experiencia tan rara. Cuando nosotros (un par) llegamos el camarero gritó ”hay aseo de señoras por allí!” tres veces... Bien, pero no pedí eso... estábamos sentados en medio de la zona de comedor ruidoso en una mesa redonda muy grande. La mesa era tan grande y ruidosa que era casi imposible tener una discusión. El servicio no era bueno, el personal parecía que se ven obligados a trabajar allí. Sin sonrisas, sin gestos educados. El arroz con pollo frito era totalmente insípido, lo mismo que el pato asado. No puedo recomendar el lugar para la cena al menos.

busy, fun and lively, tasty food.

Roast duck and XO Turnip cake were nice. We had other dim sum items and most disappointing were xiao long bao, fried dough in rice flour roll, bbq pork pastry and chicken feet. Will not go back again. Definitely not worth the price

We went at night with my friends and the waiting times are very long, we only ordered starters to share and instead of arriving all together they brought them one by one, the service is average and the prices are typical for the area.

Nostalgic experience from a time living in china. Food was very good, gong bao ji ding not quite right though. I ordered a coke which never came because the waitress ended her shift shortly after ordering.

Very busy restaurant in China town central London. I'd have no issues in returning for more.

We were served frozen food which is unacceptable. Service wasn’t good, not a smile… Apart from the frozen food, the rest of the food was alright, wouldn’t go back.

I had gone twice there and the food was good, but last time I went with my kids and when I commented the youngest one is allergic to walnuts we were asked to leave the restaurant as the responsible person said all their food might be contaminated with it. It is the first time this happens to us and this leaves doubts about the hygiene of their kitchen and the manners of their staff. Will not be back and of course a no go for allergics.

Most authenic Dim Sum I’ve had in England. Don’t expect super attentive service though as it’s how it is traditionally. Please try their chinese tea rather than beer/coke!

Tuvimos un almuerzo agradable aquí. El restaurante estaba muy ocupado, pero aún así logró entregar comida a tiempo. El pato crujiente asado estaba bueno, así como los char siu baos. El té de jazmín es de buena calidad. Los sabores eran auténticos. Los baños estaban limpios, lo que es una ventaja en Chinatown. No aceptan reservas, pero no esperamos tanto para una mesa de 10.

We had dinner there just on the Lunar New Year holiday and it was already late. The restaurant was a little crowded and noisy but it’s holiday ambiance. I kindly like it. Service was really fast and nice. Food is ok. Our roasted pork is really juicy and flavored. We also had the fried duck with pan cake. Good as well. Egg fried rice was a little bit hard. For westerner, it’s a very good restaurant at China Town. For asian, it’s accpetable good. Do not expect food and service as same as at our home country. I noticed the staff was a little bit disappointed at first when I only ordered 1 roasted pork and 2 egg fried rice for 2 person, just to try how their food first. Latter when I order more, she is more relaxed. It’s China Town in London.

Yeah, nop not for me. I didn't really enjoy the food as I found it pretty tasteless. The service was good and the portions were big. The place was crammed and loud. The prices were normal.

A busy restaurant in the heart of Chinatown. A table for two was quickly found. A very comprehensive set of menus was brought to the table. We had an exciting meal, picking a wide range of dishes and enjoying them all. Happy to recommend the Golden Dragon in the heart of Chinatown.

We (our family) had an exceptional dining experience, sampling dishes such as roasted duck, roasted pork belly, ribs, and beef in black pepper sauce. Each dish was prepared to perfection, with juicy pork and crisp duck standing out in particular. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring our visit was enjoyable. The restaurant was only half full when we visited, which made for a pleasant dining atmosphere. However, I can imagine it might get a bit crowded and noisy when fully occupied. Overall, it was a delightful meal and experience."

Food was great. Some of the Waiting staff are a bit unfriendly. Food is authentic and there were plenty of Chinese people eating there which is always a.good sign

2024 Christmas Eve dinner, the food was good, the service was good, but the environment was not good, but I was still satisfied. . .

Ordered some simple dim sum to dine with a friend and can feel the atmosphere was pleasant although towards the end it felt we couldn’t sat too long as we needed to leave for the next customers. Queues were everywhere for this. However, I think overall it’s decent restaurant.

We arrived and whilst they were very busy they seated us upstairs within 10 minutes. Very popular and we can see why. The food was delicious, both dults had Kung Po Chicken, egg fried rice and boiled rice, only thing is we would of liked these to be hotter in temperature as best served hot. Our Son loves Aromatic Duck, so he had a half duck as his main meal with the rices and he loved it! Drinks pricey but we are in London! 2 x Mains 1 x Half duck and 2 x Rices with drinks cost us £73.00 - included service charge a bit high and we were considering adjusting as was at our discretion.

Golden Dragon is one of the few English Restaurants we found that can accommodate big groups. They're a miracle worker in London where large numbers of diners get a surcharge. The food portions are so big. You can definitely save the rest of your food for takeaway. Servers were super friendly and efficient! The stairs to the toilets downstairs could be a bit scary, but the toilets are SUPER CLEAN which I appreciate

I liked the menu for 2 to 27 pounds I had difficulty finishing the dishes but it was very good

Low star rating to draw attention to the poor food labelling. The restaurant uses peanut oil in all its cooking and the menu doesn't mention prawns as a major ingredient in their "crab and pork" dimsum. Avoid if you have any concerns about what you eat.

Unfriendly service, even before we finished eating, a woman with a bob haircut placed a card reader on the table and waited for us to pay. Shortly after, a second server arrived, wanting to reset the table. Although we were still eating, she stood by the table and stared at us – even though only about half of the (4-seat) tables were occupied. The hours after the meal were spent visiting various toilets in central London; at home, we discovered that we had consumed food contaminated with viruses. I won't be coming back here...

This is the place we visit every time we come to London. The food is of average quality, the service is so-so, they add a 12.5% ​​service fee to the bill. There are always a lot of people there, we have never had any stomach problems, maybe that's why we keep coming back. Don't expect any unique taste sensations. The food is simply warm :-).

We had a really poor experience here. Our order was completely wrong, and when we pointed it out, there was no apology or effort to fix the mistake. The staff seemed uninterested in resolving the issue, which made the experience even worse. The lack of attention to detail and poor customer service left us very disappointed. We won’t be coming back.

Terrible service, it took them at least an hour to bring us the food and we were missing dishes to bring.

We went on 3 occasions for tea and was treated very well by the concierge and wait staff. On our last visited it was raining and we had got wet getting there and the rain continued on all night. When we asked for the bill, they suggested we stay and enjoy some complimentary items so we did not suffer getting wet with the current rain. The food quality was fabulous but pricing was high, but because it was so nice we did not have any hesitation going on the other two occasions. Thank you for showing care for us, it was appreciated as well as the concierges whit.

AVOID!! Incredibly rude servers. Pretty pricey and the food wasn´t good. EDIT: Our group spent the following hours in the Ole & Steen restrooms across the street with a food infection. Avoid at all costs...

The service is fast and the menus they offer are more than enough for a lunch or dinner.

22.2.23 Ridiculous that one has to wait to attract the attention of a waiter to order food or to be even found a table & then to sit (in a dingy corner !) in a restaurant of rude, cold & unpleasant staff who get stroppy if you don't want to pay the "Discretionary Service Charge" which is printed on the restaurant receipt! Maybe they should concentrate on making the noodles softer instead of pressuring customers to pay the SChg. or ask them to go elsewhere ! Typical attitude of gaudy establishments such as this where unacceptable staff manners is the norm & which is not certainly not acceptable in this part of the world & in the west! 10.11.24 Tasty food served in a clean environment with a changed staff attitude towards customers it seems.

We picked this restaurant because the food looked tasty from the outside, and we weren’t wrong. A slightly rude waitress showed us to our table, but everything after that was great. The portions are pretty big, this was the place in London where we ate the most and paid the least. Just for that, it was totally worth the visit!

A restaurant with average+ food at a reasonable price level. The seafood dish was good. The chicken noodle dish was tasteless (no spices).

Don’t believe the hype. Saw this on TikTok as a place to come in Chinatown and it was below average. Food wasn’t great, tasteless also quite expensive. Better places meters away. I came in the evening therefore didn’t try the dim sum maybe it’s better. I wouldn’t bother

Terrible. Lack of staff, no service. When we got the bill, one of the rudest waitress's ever to serve us. Part of the order was missing and we didn't get it until we were almost ready to leave. Very poor food quality. I would say that this was the worst Chinese that we have ever visited. Avoid.

The Food is awesome and the atmosphere is buzzing. As a customer I would love the service to be more warm and welcoming. But nevertheless it's a restaurant I will go again and again.

the waitresses kept on pushing us to order more it was actually so annoying, after we refused and only ordered some meals they gave us the annoyed expression. seriously? the food wasnt even that good assuming that they sell it for a hefty price. atmosphere was weird, the place was filled with waitresses pushing ppl to order more. Disappointed.

This was, without a doubt, the best 'eating out' experience ever. The food is exceptional, and the service was above reproach. Everything was fresh, delivered in a timely fashion, and with a smile. Only problem is choosing what to have from the rather extensive, but reasonably priced, menu. Truly something for everyone though. Couldn't have asked for more. Will definitely be back !!

Never going back here and DO NOT recommend this place. I was told I couldn’t order anything less than £12.80 - never heard that rule anywhere. They’re only focussed on making money, the servers are barely bothered to even suggest proper dishes. The food was bleh at best. For Asian food, it’s a shame how bland the food was - no flavour, no salt. The chicken fried rice (which I had to order instead) was basically boiled chicken thrown with some peas and rice. If I could, I would give this place zero stars. Sad how they just care about money not food or customers.

Relative to Chinese food in a Western country, this is good; relative to what you find back home, this will not make the cut. For the price paid, you'd expect much better standards, especially for the quality of ingredients that they have access to. Also, don't expect top notch service quality, as it's Chinatown.

Extremely overpriced for very mediocre Chinese food. The bill does not have a breakdown of price on it with a significant service charge. Ordered Chinese rice wine and they served us cooking wine.

Waitress called Sam is super rude. We asked for the portions and she said “ I dont know how much you can eat”. She keep refusing to answer our questions and ignoring. Super super rude. They dont welcome you. Extremely disrespectful! DONT COME HERE

We went to eat during the week, we had to wait a little in line but they immediately gave us a table since they opened the upstairs dining room. Fast service, friendly staff We ordered several dim sun to share which were exquisite. To highlight the homemade pork dumplings, a delight.

Restaurant was not busy but the front lady reception greeting was not friendly not welcome and feel rush when we are eat in with family even restaurant no busy lots empty places, definitely will not visit again, as there many restaurants nearby to try out better service and comfort.

Food was was very good had set menu for 2 more than enough food all very tasty seaweed not a fan however they had sprinkled some spice on it and honestly I would have eaten a bowl on its own it was delicious 😋 service staff very polite and efficient really not any waiting time between courses however no interaction with customers

The place was nice and clean, especially the toilets when you go to wash your hands are well taken care off and don't require a tetanus shot like so many other restaurants in china town. The food was just ok on this occasion. The taste was there but everything was just a bit overcooked and the meat portions are too small compared to the vegetables used in the dishes. The staff was helpful and courteous which made us feel welcome and taken care of. The service was just right.

The food is always great. It's reasonably priced for the location and it has proper large portions. My favourite is the crispy shredded duck and ho fun with sliced beef (not pictured(eaten too quickly)). Pictured are pork and aubergines (fire) and sizzling beef (sizzling)!
