Being regulars at the Colindale branch we were disappointed. There is less space here and this had repercussions when it proved difficult for servers to place dishes on the already-crowded table-top. There were spills of hot tea and it was hard for us diners to access the dishes and accompaniments when too many dishes arrived at the same time, despite efforts made during ordering to have some separation of courses. Overall, the food and service was no better than average.

Very good authentic dim sum. I have been coming here for years and the quality is pretty consistent. Can be a bit of a wait on weekends but they have 2 big floors so the wait is usually not too bad. The only thing is the service which can be hit or miss. They are usually friendly but on the last visit they would not let me and my partner switch to a bigger table. We ordered a few dim sum dishes which was very cramped to have everything on the table. The waitress did not allow us to switch tables even though there were a few bigger empty tables next to us available.

Visited this restaurant yesterday in Chinatown with my mum and sister, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. From the moment we arrived, we were directed to sit outside without being asked our preference. We didn’t make a fuss at the time, but it felt dismissive, especially when we later saw others comfortably seated inside. Service was noticeably poor. Food took ages to arrive, and dishes came out in fragments — rice and dumplings were served first and turned cold by the time the meat arrived. The tablecloth looked old and stained, which added to the lack of care. When we went to pay, the card machine couldn’t get a signal outside, so we were asked to come inside , and to our surprise, the inside seating area was filled, and notably, all of those seated inside were white. As Black guests, we couldn’t help but feel that our treatment was different, and it left a sour taste in what should have been a lovely family outing. We won’t be returning. All guests should be treated with equal respect and comfort, regardless of race or background.

When we arrived at the restaurant, we could see a bustling happy ground floor space. Unfortunately we were ushered upstairs (even though there were free tables downstairs) which was a very different space. Very very tired looking, cramped tables, poor decor and harsh lighting. More of a canteen than a restaurant. Service was awful, table was awful and food no better than my local takeaway.

Recommended by a friend, I went to this Chinese restaurant with my five family members for dinner at 12 noon on weekdays. Although the store is a bit old, it is overall clean and the environment is acceptable. The crowd flow was moderate at that time, and although you had to go up to the first floor to be seated, the venue was not yet fully occupied. Dishes ordered that day include carrot cake, chicken feet and pork ribs rice, vegetarian rice rolls, fried rice noodles, barbecued pork belly, beef balls, lotus seed paste, fresh bamboo rolls, siomai, and stir-fried sand tea beef rice noodles. The dim sum is generally of good quality and tastes good, and some, such as barbecued pork belly and siu mai, are even more Hong Kong-style. However, the dry fried rice noodles are not the traditional Hong Kong style. Instead, they add a thicker Sha Cha sauce, which is a bit spicy and has just the right amount of beef. The spiciness level of this dish is not indicated on the menu, so it may not be very friendly to those who don’t like spicy food. In addition, the pho itself is sticky and tough, and the flavor is slightly different from Hong Kong-style smoothness, but it is still acceptable. Overall, the food in this restaurant is delicious, but individual dishes could use more explanation to enhance the dining experience.

Don't understand why this place only has a 3.8 rating. Most of the reviews/ratings I've read are accurate, however. What this place most certainly is not is a tourist trap. It was full on a Saturday lunchtime, and the majority of patrons were clearly not tourists. I have not eaten much in Chinatown in recent years but I'd be very surprised if there were many better restaurants. The dimsum is outstanding. Best I've had in a long time and compares favorably with much pricier restaurants. Admittedly I didn't try any meat or duck but the crispy pork belly (on the next table) looked delicious. Will definitely order it next time. Service is quick and efficient, as it should be (if you actually want an authentic Hong Kong style experience).

It was a bit of a gamble choosing a restaurant at Chinatown given the array of options and our budget. The food here was very authentic and delicious! We ordered the sizzling sweet and sour beef tenderloin, along with the mixed veggies. The staff were also very welcoming and friendly, and they attentively handled all our requests. The restaurant was bustling, with a line forming outside as we were leaving. Definitely recommended if you’re craving some Chinese food!

Popular for lunch time dim sum, so be prepared to queue. It will be especially popular around Chinese New Year as one of the main big restaurants in the middle of Chinatown. Of course given the location it gets a lot of tourists, but wouldn't necessarily consider it to be a tourist trap. We came on a bank holiday Monday in April for yum cha and had cheung fun, taro croquettes, xiao long bao, dumplings with peanuts, bean curd and stuffed tofu with jasmine tea. People otherwise come for the Peking duck and roast pork. Total bill came to just under £68 including service charge. We had a really poor experience here. Our order was completely wrong, and when we pointed it out, there was no apology or effort to fix the mistake. The staff seemed uninterested in resolving the issue, which made the experience even worse. The lack of attention to detail and poor customer service left us very disappointed. We won’t be coming back.

The food is good but it could have done better. For example ,roasted duck is not very juicy and the upper skin is not very crispy like other top Chinese shops which I could name. Pork belly is great. Service is not bad /not good. As usual per Se,Servers from Most of Chinese shops in London China town are not too patient and blunt as usual, not surprisingly. I had been told by the server to complete our sauce first as I requested another sauce for dim sum and 6 of us were sharing the only single sauce plate. Spacious area for dining as they have upstair.

Sad, overpriced and cannot be improved. Plates looking like £0.75 each, you'll be paying £45. When you are looking for a meal in London and you are hoping you won't end up in an overpriced slum,- so that's the one.
