Golden Dragon in Barking and Dagenham

The food is really good, great portion sizes, they do make a couple of mistakes sometimes when they are very busy, but their good service makes up for that. It is definitely my favourite local chinese.

Absolutely banging Chinese takeaway. Everything is tasty and cooked to perfection. The Crispy Chicken, fish cakes, King Prawn with mushrooms and spring rolls are all just perfect.

Decent take away Asian food. I’d go again. Good prices.

Having tried a number of Chinese takeaways, this one is firmly my favourite in the local area. The food is consistently good and despite trying other places, we always come back to Golden Dragon. The service is always super friendly, they always get the order correct and the food is delivered faster than any other takeaway. Unfortunately, that was in the past. They are now terrible with service and regularly mess up orders. Make sure you check the food as they have included pork in veg and halal dishes before. Whether by accident or not, it’s unacceptable! If you want Chinese food in the local area then this is the place to go to. They offer halal chicken and beef too. Reducing down the rating as they messed up our order and gave us pork in the fried rice. Luckily I noticed it before anyone ate it but that is a serious mess up so for people that eat halal be careful as they do and have messed up! They have also messed up subsequent orders and wont do anything about it. Thus only deserve a one star rating now which is crazy as we initially rated them 5!

The only Chinese id ever order from in Barking. Absolutely everything ive ever had from here has been delicious and cooked to perfection. Portion sizes are also decent. For £26 i got egg fried rice, chicken chow mein, king prawn chop suey, pork balls (10), curry sauce and sweet n sour sauce. Id of not ordered the s&s sauce if id remembered it came with the pork balls, lol. Cant wait to order from here again.

I have ordered from here a couple of times now. Same quality every time, except the prawn spring roll from last night was too oily. We enjoyed the King prawn fried rice a lot. My little one made sure she finished it. The delivery guy is very polite

My partner ordered from here previously for the 1st time and we really liked it. Loved the dishes with added broccoli 🥦 so just ordered again . Quick service and good quality food yum

I only order takeaway, but the food is always on point. Best Chinese food in the are no doubt. Prices are a bargain for London. Totally recommend.

Cold food. Hard chicken. Cold rice. Worst thing is i found an insect in my smoked shredded chicken. Never come to this place if you respect yourselve. The shop owner is rude.

First time ordering from here. Very enjoyable meal. Fresh and tasty, not greasy. Ordered special fried rice, Singapore noodles, ribs, chips, curry sauce. Got free crackers and mini pancake rolls. Very reasonably priced. Will order again and recommend to friends and family.

So I ordered egg fried rice and a Thai chicken green curry. The egg fried rice was not egg fried rice. Have never had egg fried rice like that before! And the so called Thai chicken green curry was basically chicken in curry sauce ! Really? Wat a big difference but apparently that's how they make it. The first and last time I get a takeaway from this place!! Disgusting.

This family run Chinese restaurant is brilliant, the food is always excellent, best in Barking and we've tried a few. The staff are always very helpful, friendly and always with a smile. The delivery & collection is very efficent. They also throw in free prawn crackers & drinks when you spend over a certain amount. Would highly recommend. 5*.

Used to be my go-to Chinese delivery place a few years back but has sadly gone downhill since then with the last few orders being very disappointing and nowhere near the quality they once were. Change in management perhaps?

Trash food was cold and arrived late

They do a 'Happy Meal' it's £5 there are a number of set options. You can choose rice or chow mein. We ordered two different meals one with rice and one with chow mein, along with pancake rolls, and chips. They messed up the order and both were delivered with rice ☹ We didn't call to complain as we were hungry as had been out all day. Mine was really nice, chicken curry and special fried rice. My wife didn't eat a lot as she doesn't really like rice! She said the shredded crispy chicken was nice and if you liked rice that was OK! The pancake rolls were good as were the chips. We would have given a higher rating if it hadn't been for the mistake.

Food delivered and half of it was spilt in the bag, called restaurant to ask them to resend the lost food and was told it wasn't their problem and if I wanted my food I would have to repay for the dish disgusting service.

Just ordered a takeaway from here and was pleasantly surprised that the order came quickly but what spoilt the service was the really rude and abrupt delivery man. If this is the face of your restaurant and you're happy for a rude, abrupt delivery driver to be the first thing people experience when ordering from you, thats a real shame!

My local chinese, they do the best honey chicken wings. So addictive. The food also arrives quite quickly whether it’s delivery or collection.

Ordered a meal from here and was delivered very quickly. Delivery driver then tried to walk off without giving me my change until I pulled him on it and didn't want to hand it over. BBQ ribs were tasteless bits of fat in a non generic red sauce. Straight in the bin. Crispy aromatic duck was neither crispy or aromatic. Looked like a chopped up boiled foot. Just spent 15 minutes on the phone trying to get a replacement. Will never order from here again. Should take away food be so difficult?

BEST CHINESE RESTAURANT IN BARKING! Tried others and they weren't good as this. This restaurant throws in 2 free drinks, spring rolls and prawn crackers. Delivery time is amazing! Highly recommended if you want good quality food in Barking.

Dont normally leave reviews and i am a fussy eater but i gotta say 5*s! ordered before from other chinese takeaways never been as good as this. The lamb in black bean sauce was hot and fresh vegatables not over cooked. lamb so tender!! same with the chicken satay , so juicy and soft (always hard and crusty when i order from other chinese). king prawns in bread crumbs demolished in 10 seconds. Not a fan of the mini spring rolls but my kids loved them they were fresh and hot. And arrived well before expected ,even in this weather!! very flavoursome food!!

As the title suggests I work shifts and on some occaisions we have a take out. I'm quite fussy and had almost exausted the local chinese takeaways in the Thompso Local, this one was recommended by one of our security guards and what a find it has proven to be! For my pallet it's great and I will be returning.

This takeaway changed its name to Golden Dragon. I walked past it the other day. Wow I had the Thai green curry and fried rice, chicken in green peppers and egg friend rice for my other half, spring rolls and chicken Satays. Was not greasy like the other places I have been to and portions were good size and worth it. Value for money ! Quick on service! And it was really tasty and hot. I got free prawn crackers and the owner threw in some drinks ! This is now my local Chinese ! Definately go again.
