Jerkpit Deliveries in Barking and Dagenham

Order- tilapia with rice and peas, macaroni cheese, chickpea curry and white rice, plantain, fried dumpling, salad and coleslaw. Food turned up on time and was hot. The tilapia was in a callaloo type stew which was quite tasty, the curry was sweet (had plantain in it) rice was cooked well, salad was fresh and the coleslaw was ok, not to my liking though. The dumplings were fried well and not too oily.

Ordered on uber. Extremely overpriced for the portion. I bought the curried goat which was basically gravy. The was a little thin. The jerked chicken portion was super small but flavor was okay. Would not buy again!

Porridge and soup were both warm, but the soup lacked sufficient body and had lots of crumb at the bottom… may have been reheated too many times, and the porridge was bitter with no sweet flavour at all, inedible… Would not order or recommend either again

Usually order from here irregardless of other reviews however today was the first time I was disappointed. My Tilapia in callaloo gravy was more like water gravy and excessively seasoned today. My coleslaw side was stale and the portion for the breakfast ackee and salt fish was almost non existent. I think they may have lost a customer today. Unfortunate as I’ve been ordering for almost 4 years.

Oxtail was awful meat taste old the sauce is watered down as if had run out of sauce meat in water plate was swimming like soup dumplings taste dry plantain is dry so disappointing

Requested vegetarian meal but it had beef in it.

Rice was sweaty, oxtail was not good don’t know how long ago it was cooked. Coleslaw was defrosted soggy and full off juice. I used to rate jerkpit but they have really gone down hill

Asked for white rice they gave me rice and peas

Unfortunately the food was never delivered, no feedback from takeaway of why, failed to answer phone extremely disappointing

The food does not meet authentic Caribbean standards and I don't feel that the Chef is Caribbean. This is a travesty!!

Stew chicken gravy was watery and greasy. Chicken cut up into tiny pieces like cat food and bland. Chicken wings tasted stale. Curry goat overly salty. Rice and peas had no flavour and was overly hot. Coleslaw tasted off.

Food arrived very hot and tasted fantastic. Also good portion sizes. Will definitely order again.

Food was horrible. Soup was watery and had no flavour apart from curry powder? Brown stew chicken was sweet and very watery...food took nearly an hour to arrive. I wouldn't recommend

Got barely any chicken. No sauce . The rice was freezing and there was rice at the bottom of the bag. I’m not happy with my order.

The food is ok ordered red peas soup and beef soup. Red peas soup was nice and hearty but beef soup was watery and salty. Also ordered oxtail which was very watery. The food is ok nothing to rave about.

Patty dry no flavour, fried chicken taste like carbonated salt bread. This tastes like whitewashed food. Like a mimic of actual Caribbean food

Food took 2 hours to come, no Information from the restaurant. Ordered from another restaurant on Uber eats came in 20mins, and then this order showed up. Terrible!!

Usually order Curry Goat which is fine, ordered stew chicken for the first time and it was very bad. Taste was unusual (could taste BBQ sauce) and gravy was very runny. Not a piece of Onion, pepper or any such seasoning in sight. Very disappointed in the food quality.

Ordered for delivery. Portion sizes are decent, you get a lot of rice. Not the beat food though. Chicken was kind of dry and the rice just didn’t taste of anything. The chicken just tastes like unseasoned chicken from a BBQ with a tiny pot of sauce. It was edible but I won’t order from here again.

Am very sorry but I did not eat the food. The food was put in the bin. The food was not fresh and look like it been cooked over a week. It was waste of money and I don’t think I buy food from this place again

The soup was watery with no taste and being red pea soup this is not how it is made. For the first time diving at a Caribbean restaurant/shop I had to put salt. If I was bothered I would have gone for seasoning. The Festivals was rock hard un eatable. Its a shame because I have had oxtail from here and it was goof.

The delivery was about an hour late, bit o had read the reviews. The food arrived hot and worth the wait. Although, any later might have been an issue. As long as thr food is hot and cooked well.NOTE: Red peas soup contained meat. PLEASE PUT THIS ON THE MENU. Beef as the other choice. I assumed the pea soup was vegetarian. PLEASE HAVE REDPEA SOUP (VEG.) as another choice.

My drink was seal was broken and some was missing out of the bottle be last time I order from here sadly I like the food but this is a massive safety concern

55 mins late (won’t let me select the correct time) considering I ordered before 7 and delivery was confirmed for 7.55-8.15. It came at 8.55. When I called up they did apologise. Food was lovely as always, just order ahead in case delivery is slow

I regularly order from Jerkpit. The food is always tasty and the delivery on time. This time I've ordered the family 2 set meal, and I was pleasantly surprised about how much food I received (suitable for a family of 2 adults and 2 young children or for 3 adults). Will definitely order that set meal again.

Ordered curried goat but it was lamb, not goat. It was still lovely but false advertisement :(
