Golden Bowl in Worthing

Really disappointing. Food was very very greasy. Some of the chicken pink in the chicken balls and the chicken curry. Cards not accepted but wasn't informed of this on the telephone. Won't be ordering again or recommending.

Used to be my absolute favourite Chinese takeaway but it seems to have gone downhill. The Kung Po spare ribs were so bad we threw them away - I'm happy to eat vindaloo or even naga chillies, but whatever chilli they used just tasted harsh and smothered the taste. The broccoli was undercooked in the trio of greens - almost raw. The chicken with bamboo shoots and waterchestnut was just bland - tasted like thin stock thickened with cornflour. So disappointing, it never used to be like this.

Sad to say that it's really gone down hill. Food cold and stale. Noodles over cooked and slimy. 1hr10mins for delivery....fine waiting longer but not for poor food. Shame as golden bowl has always been our num 1 choice over the years.

Not the best iv had. The prawn crackers don't taste nice and I have the chicken chow main and it was tasteless and the chicken had a lot of fatty bits in. Iv ordered here 3 times now and this is the only time it's been a bit off, hoping its just a one off because the last 2 times it was lovely and I enjoyed every mouthful.

Arrived early but cold, oily, greasy and the duck was so fatty. The curry sauce had a thick layer of oil on the top. Couldn’t eat any of it. Really disappointing despite the quick service.

the food today was absolutely awful had no taste and the prawn crackers had no taste at all when usually when I get food from here it is very nice. Very very disappointed especially for the price I paid.

Tried the Golden Bowl a long time ago and wasn't impressed. However after a recommendation from a friend we tried them again. Thankfully we were pleasantly surprised as the food was very good in fact after trying numerous Chinese takeaways this has been the best one for a long time. If you want a Chinese that is not overcooked like many we experienced I would give the Golden Bowl a try.

Everything was good except the crispy duck which was terrible.. it was nearly all fat and skin… I don’t understand how the duck could have ever lived in that condition. Won’t be risking ordering the crispy duck again unfortunately

Large Spring roll was dripping with greasy oil and I had to dry it up with kitchen roll before handling - the rest of the food was delicious and well cooked.

Not good this time, sweet and Sour Chicken HK style was breaded not battered and tasted over sweet, and was soggy, noodles were bland and beef with mushrooms had hardly any beef- more mushrooms with beef. Normally good food

Excellent service- the portions were big and the quality was good. Even though they missed out an item, they were very helpful when I rang them back and made a big effort to deliver the missing dish to us ASAP. Good value for money.

I used to be a regular until Golden bowls opening times changed to just weekends. Always loved the food. Shame the crispy noodle has been taken off the menu :-(. The duck rolls were amazing. I would happily get a takeaway of just that but everything I had tonight was yummy. Thanks guys, you haven't lost your touch.

I decided to treat myself to a Chinese takeaway last night, delicious Chicken Chow Mein with Sweet-and-Sour Chicken Balls and a can of Coke It was all very good, I love Chow Mein, and the Chicken Balls were nice (I did not actually eat everything, it was really a bit too much food for me alone, but that was what I had to order to make minimum spend but I thoroughly enjoyed it)

As always delicious food, really well flavoured and great variety.

Food was really poor, and came far too quick to be cooked from fresh. Which concerned me a little, food was really oily and there more onions than any meat, duck was fatty and no meat at all just fat. All dishes are over priced and quite frankly really bad food. I will not be ordering from here again.

Food arrived early. Was hot when it arrived but would expect so, given it only travelled 1½ miles. Chips were really tasty, special curry was full of every different protein as described. Special fried rice was nicely cooked and nothing was over salted! Will definitely use you again!

Order wrongly fulfilled. Ordered Sweet and Sour King Prawn balls. Received Sweet and Sour Chicken Balls. Price difference? Refund? It was too late to walk back as we had already started eating our meal when we discovered this discrepancy. View our order to check.

Phoned our order through. Could have picked it up in 15 minutes but we wanted it later which wasn't a problem and it was ready for us when we arrived. We had a mixture of food, including rice, chow mein, prawn toast, chicken balls and a duck dish which we all enjoyed.
