Go Thai in Stockport

The food at this takeaway is delicious (although a little shy on meat content); but we were really disappointed to be charged much more per item than what we had anticipated. We were told the menus are out of date (although they only gave them to us 2 months ago, in which time the price of a curry had gone from £7.99 to £10.99 - not including rice), when we checked the website those prices were also out of date. We only had 4 mains and 3 sides and the bill was £55. We felt the incorrect pricing was quite underhand for a business and we felt hood-winked when charged so much more than we had imagined with no explanation as to why they decieve people around the actual prices of their meals. Their only reply was that they gave us free prawn crackers, which in my experience is pretty standard for a bill over £50. Unfortunately the menu went in the bin and they have lost our custom.

We had a delivery from Go Thai got to say ABSOLUTELY AMAZING so fresh and tasty would highly recommend

Nice food but the delivery times are a joke, Would not order again at the weekend, Oh and don’t try to beat them by calling in either as you’ll be sat in there waiting long enough to need a haircut

Ordered on-line, four starters and mains as a new customer. It was fairly easy to order that way, but it would have been easier if also the items were listed together as well, like most takeouts, to save a lot of scrolling. The selection of food offered was great, and it was hard to make a choice. The whole order was very good, decent portions, well prepared, and the staff very courteous and efficient. The app kept me up to date, though I did have to wait as it was not ready for collection at the pre booked time. Very pleased, and we will definitely use again.

The food here was fantastic as always. Freshly prepared well presented and some of the best Thai food I've tasted...even in Thailand! Ordered online for collection and order was ready at the appointed time. Communication was great and Staff in store really friendly and genuinely happy for our custom.

Edit - food did eventually turn up but I had no communication, had to keep calling until eventually we had answer. They did add in some gyoza but a couple of the starters were dry and cold on arriving. Manager did contact to apologise and explain they had staff shortages and offer some discount on next order. Unfortunately I placed an order that was not delivered and when calling to find out after 30 mins beyond the delivery time the phone was not answered. Very disappointed. Hopeful the owners will fix the situation. Very poor.

I can ensure that this is one of the best Thai restaurants that i ever had. The food tastes brilliant especially I really love the spices and herbs inside. very recommended for everyone!

We collected our online order. The shop was lovely and clean. There was confusion over the mixed starter. I ordered two for four people as the picture online showed two or four of everything. I should have read the description as the photo was of two lots not one. We all had to have half. Not good value at nearly £15. Red Thai curry was nice as was the coconut rice but the tamarind duck was dry and disappointing. Chips were odd and a bit hard. We have had beautiful meals here in the past. We travelled to get this but will stick to local one in future. Maybe unlucky choices today?

I LOVE this place!! Best place to go for Thai food anywhere in the area. The food is stunning and they can also make the dishes vegan friendly 🙌🏻 If you’re craving Thai food, this is the place to go! The staff are super friendly also.

Our regular delivery takeaway changed hands and the food quality dropped and prices went up but I am a creature of habit and do not like change. After my wife convinced me to try a new place we tried this takeaway. Pleasant surprise. Great food. Every dish was tasty and it was delivered early. A new finde for us.

Gone for 4 * But thinking 3.5 I've only been once for collection. Frequently my soninlaw collects on way home and drops off to me So still think it's best Thia and they live in Woodford. However, we wonder if there's been a management change few months ago? Now on deliveroo Prices increased higher percentage than other local takeaways Any discounts removed Staff not recognised Portion of chips has got larger but not as good chips as smaller portion was Amount of sauce reduced So not easy to describe but we feel it's changed and gone a little down hill. So not going as often, but still going

I challenge anyone in the local area to find a better takeaway. A little steeper than other takeaways in terms of price but well worth it for restaurant quality Thai. Not greedy, salty oily etc. Don't think I've ever really had a bad meal from here and I've tasted most of the menu now. Our go to for the last few years and continues to be. Highly recommended

Ordered starter platter for 2 and 2 chicken penang & 2 fried rice. All of it was fantastic, both in taste and portion size. We will be back when flying from Manchester again. Excellent service too. Here's hoping you get back to Bangkok soon, 6yrs is a long time. A1*****

Go Thai never disappoints. We have tried most of the menu and always feel the dishes are made authentically, with the freshest ingredients. My partner has coeliac and they are always very helpful and accommodating.

I previously gave a somewhat bad review after receiving an order than wasn't up the standards that had been set prior. I didn't order for a while but I decided to last week and I want to say it was GREAT. Best takeaway I've had in years. Ordered the beef massamam which was very tasty, had lots of beef and was a perfect consistency. Also had the salt and pepper chicken wings and spare ribs. Everything was really good, tasted fresh and they were excellent portion sizes. Best Thai takeway there is! If this standard is kept I will be ordering a lot more regularly.

This is my first order with Go Thai and the food was very tasty, full of flavour and smelt amazing. I ordered the spring rolls, salt and pepper chips and the gang Penang curry with tofu. I was hoping for more tofu in the curry as it was so delicious and full of flavour! It would also be great if there was a gang Penang yellow curry on the menu as it’s favourite and I would defiantly be a regular customer if it were added. Over all, great food, service and prices. Would recommend to anyone! 😊

Love this place. We've recently moved to Romiley and it was the first take away we had and have ordered many times. We've eaten in quite a few Thai restaurants visited Thailand and the food here is pretty authentic and tasty. Good value as well with good portion sizes.

Little bit on the pricey side but the Thai red & green were very tasty. Will come back, after pay day 👍 p.s go for the gang Penang. Thank me later. Edit: have been back many times since. So much so I unlocked a discount code through the app. Always consistent and always really nice.

Usually the food is really good but the last two times I've ordered the massamam was very watery and had hardly any beef in it. Then the papaya salad was so hot it was almost dangerous to eat. Staff are usually really nice as is the food but I don't think I will be ordering again as I can make the food just as good myself.

We love to try different types of cuisine and have been highly recommended to Go Thai by a few people recently, it did not disappoint. We had salad rolls and Thai ribs starter, then garlic chicken stir fry and tamarind duck with sticky rice mmm. Portions were great, so tasty and delicious. Excellent food.

We have been here a couple of times and we will continue to eat from here. The food is amazing and customer service is excellent. We drive from Wythenshawe to come here so it just shows what level this food is at. I've been to Thailand and love Thai food and this is definitely the best Thai food experience I've had outside of Thailand. Last night we decided to go outside our comfort zone and try something different so we ordered the Chiang Mai set menu and we were so glad we did! We tried things we wouldn't normally. I would never normally think to order a side of stir fry veg. Now I will be ordering it with every meal. The veg was cooked to perfection, no overcooking at all which can be so common with this type of dish. I'm so happy we found this place. Just super, from start to finish

I have been a customer at Go Thai for well over a year and order a couple times a month. There has never been a meal that I haven’t liked and the staff are friendly, I even got a phone call once to check if I had made an error when using their app and had selected “Collection” as they recognised that I usually opted for delivery. The app is also really handy and I appreciate the loyalty point scheme. I recommended Go Thai to a friend and the friend messaged me thanking me because it was so delicious and are now repeat customers...so it clearly isn’t just me who loves the food!

Just had a takeaway for the first time tonight omg it was delicious we had sweetcorn fritters with a homemade chilli dip and salt and pepper chicken followed by pad Thai chicken everything was fresh and hot and real chicken not the boiled rubbery stuff you usually get I have found my new takeaway!

The service and food here is always absolutely excellent this is by far the best takeaway in Manchester in my familys opinion, generous portions and amazing taste every time would recommend to anyone, its worth every penny!!!

I’ve traveled around Europe eating in Thai restaurants. This takeaway is the best Thai food I have ever eaten, my friends felt the same! Tasty and fresh, good price, lovely service. Authentic Thai food! We ordered the Satay chicken starter, prawn pad Thai and the Prawns Pad Met Mammuang with coconut rice. All food was delicious and fresh. It’s more pricey then other takeaways but it’s well worth the cost. You don’t get that heavy greasy feeling after eating it and then prawns were perfectly cooked and not rubbery. I’ve not had a pad Thai thAt nice since we were last in Thai Land. Delivery arrived right on time also! I don’t have a photo because we are it so fast!! Delicious, it’s nice to know there’s quality food so close by.

Ordered this evening via the Go Thai app, delivery took around 40 minutes. The food was some of the best authentic Thai food we have ever eaten, the portions are huge and arrived piping hot. The prices are competitive and with the loyalty scheme on the app makes it even better. We shall be ordering again soon.

This takeaway is wonderful. From the friendly kind lady that answers the phones, to the brilliant chefs and pleasant delivery drivers! We used to vary take aways each Friday but for the past year it's nearly always been Go Thai. It's the best Thai food I've tasted, better actually than in Thailand itself. I would certainly recommend it to anyone.

I had been debating ordering from here for a while but took the plunge as fancied something new. I stopped ordering asian Takeaway a long time ago because I was always disappointed. We both really enjoyed our meal, the food is good quality and full of flavour. It is more expensive than a lot of take away so maybe not somewhere we would afford weekly but it will be a regular one. The app was easy and delivery on time.Can't remember the proper names but starters - chicken wings were big and good. Chilli beef was nice and meat soft. Tampura vegetables were amazing! Mains - I enjoyed my milder red thai curry but still had a kick and plenty of meat. It was rich and i've saved some to eat today. Noodles with spring onions lovely. My partner had a rice and chicken meal which he enjoyed but said he wouldn't order again as nothing wow about it. Salt and pepper chips - not big potion but very nice. Give it a go. Had a takeaway from here not too long ago and it wasn’t up to scratch. Tasteless and ended up throwing half of it away. There’s much better places in the surrounding area.

Myself and my family love Thai food and Go Thai is not only local but offers great quality food. Everything we have had from Go Thai has been excellent and tasted fantastic too! We have been here about 10 times and also won a competition for a complimentary set meal. This is somewhere that I will always go to and definitely recommend Go Thai to anyone wanting great authentic Thai food!

Great Thai takeaway. Tried a lot of the menu and all extremely tasty. Chips have got a lot better since they first opened. Chef specials are the best from the whole menu. I recommend to try all of them. Great fresh food. Great customer service And can't complain with 10% off for collection.

I love the food here I feel so glad that there is actually Thai food in this area now as it's my favourite... the staff are always very friendly and polite the manager is very nice and the food is always lovely... I love the green curry and the chicken satay there is also an allergens board on display with a full list of all dishes and what they may contain I'm glad they are now cutting the edges of the eggplant off my only wish is that I didn't find tiny bits of bay leaf in the curry but it's only a few and I just pick them out but sometimes the odd one surprises me haha

WOW! Amazing food. We had the Thai Green Chicken Curry and the Tom Ka Chicken Soup. Both dishes were full of flavour and very tasty. We will definitely be ordering from here again.
