Go Sing in Hillingdon

If I could score 0 I would. Staff are rude but we ignore because my kid likes the food and value for money so we put up with it and return. We always go as a big family. But on Saturday oh my gosh the rudeness was another level almost as if we stunk. I like the starters but today the food was so salty I couldn’t eat it. I reordered just to make sure it was not a slip of the hand but it was the same. It taste like someone had poured salt over it at the end and given it to us to eat. It never tastes like that. Then when we finished we place our plates in the middle as usual but no one cleared it away. The waitress then came and place our new ordered dishes on top of the dirty plates. I said excuse me could u not have cleared this up first. She walked off then came back with more food to place on top of the remaining dirty dishes. I said no thank you where is the manager. She got the manager and the manger actually gasped and quickly said I will clear it away I am sorry. I complained and she took the price off the 1 single beer my dad had We spend £177 and for that service never ever again, ever ever ever

This place use to be quite nice but not no more. For the price hiked up to £25 pp the food is mostly fried, quick and cheap. So oily and left feeling quite sick after eating it. Don’t tho k I’ve ever had a Chinese this bad before, I won’t be going again. Not to mention they ration the duck so you only get one pancake between the four of you. It’s a disgrace they charge what they do. The decor needs updating and the staff always look miserable.

We used to love it here, not sure what happened the staff are very slow not very smiley. The price has gone up from last time and the standard of food has gone down. Such a same as we used to come a lot don’t think will bother returning sadly.

This restaurant is one of the best kept secrets of West London. The All You Can Eat served buffet is superb!

We booked before hand, never been there before and our reservation was found and we got a nice greeting, The table was a generous size and it was a spacious restaurant inside. We ordered 2 pints of coke at £4 each and a cider which took a long time coming but that was alright as we were chatting. Then we ordered the mixed starter for 4 which did take a long time coming and we were all hungry, Our mixed starter arrived and it was minimal to say the least I have never had spare ribs that had been saw in quatres bitesize and mostly bones, the chicken satay was such thin strips of chicken. There were no prawn crackers on the menu but we saw another table order them and they got some delivered to their table but when we asked to have them they said begrudgingly ok but they never arrived at our table just like the mains my daughter ordered chicken in black bean sauce and they we so busy that there was no one to ask so all she had was dried egg fried rice. We waited a long time between courses and my daughter did tell someone and they said they would get her some but she said no because by that time we had all finished our dinners and she could not wait another 30 mins for her mains. So obviously we did not order any desserts and just to let you know desserts are not part of the buffet at £24.60 person. The bill arrived and we mentioned the mains that did not arrive nor did the prawn crackers, they were sorry but did not offer any allowance on our bill just saying sorry did not make my daughter any fuller and my our experience a happy one. This is not a place I would visit again in a hurry, I felt cheated for the money we paid not only for my daughter but for our evening out. The food was of a good quality if you can get some. I would agree with other views do not go when it is busy you will be wasting your well earned money.

Good food but terrible service. Waited over an hour for food. Abrupt waiter. Wrong food brought out and incorrect bill at the end. I would only go again if it was a quiet evening with a few people in there otherwise you never get served.

I’ve been visiting the Go Sing most of my life. It has always been a well run business, and the food they served was the best in area, without question. Quality has been declining for some time, so much so that I hadn’t visited for around a year, so my friend and I decided to give it another try. Incredibly, and embarrassingly for them, the food had got worse, and the service quite frankly appalling (apart from the efforts of Steven, who was helpful, understanding and tried to put right the wrongs of the other staff). Please note, that whilst this an ‘all you can eat’ buffet, they have stripped back many dishes on the menu, and introduced limitations on some dishes in terms what you can eat. When we ordered crispy duck, we were given 4 pancakes between 2 people, limp and old cucumber/spring onion, a big bone, some non-crispy skin and a few pieces of undercooked duck. When we asked for more, the waitress (possibly new manager), came back from the kitchen to aggressively highlight a note on the menu regarding the duck and how they have to limit the amount they were serving due to a shortage of duck. It smacked of cost saving on their part rather than an industry shortage of a product, as did the removal of many dishes - coincidentally, most of which were the more expensive kind of dishes such as scallops and muscles, for example - from menu, as previously mentioned. Started we’re OK. That said, we had basic stuff that you’d struggle to get wrong. The we had duck-gate, which was farcical. We ordered 3 mains. The first, crispy shredded beef, was the worst I’ve ever had, anywhere. The sauce was awful and the ‘beef’ stated like the dust of cremated beef fat. Powdery and disgusting. We then waited 20 mins plus for the remaining two mains, which were almost as bad, and portions were half the size they used to be. Unsurprisingly, the bill came much faster than the food. As mentioned, the waitress/manager was aggressive and quite frankly rude. My friends, family and I have spent literally tens of thousands of pounds at this restaurant over the years. Sadly, I’ll be telling them not to bother in future. Quite frankly, a terrible experience. Poor food, overpriced and shocking service. One star is generous.

We booked for 7.30 and didn’t leave until 10pm due to the slow service. We waited for 40 minutes for our order to be taken and then the starters arrived in dribs and drabs so one of our group waited an hour to get anything to eat. The same happened with our drinks. The beer arrived but the wine was forgotten. The tables were packed closely together so too many diners and not enough staff. We felt sorry for the servers as there were so many complaints about courses not arriving from other diners. The food however was good when it arrived. It’s a shame as we have been visiting for many years but unlikely to return.

I have been coming to this restaurant for over 16 years .we have tried many many Chinese buffet restaurants all over the country , this is the best anywhere. The food is cooked to order and I love all of the food, there is such variety and it comes out hot and lots of it ,you can keep on ordering. Everything is so clean and they change your plate after appetisers and before duck and again before mains . Nothing is too much trouble. We have tap water which is in jugs with ice and the waiters and waitresses give us fresh water as soon as we have used nearly all the water. All the staff are run off their feet ,but they still are attentive to everyone. The reviews on here are obviously from people who don't understand that food needs to be cooked too order and there is a family of 8 of us and are food comes out as it should and hot .this happens every time we have been 8 times a year at least for 16 years . I wrote this review as it upsets me to see tye horrible reviews for such a wonderful restaurant, which really is the best

Not very welcoming or at all attentive. Service very slow. Food arrived in dribs and drabs, served on cold plates so food got cold quickly. Had to keep reminding them we were waiting for other dishes. Food was ok, Cantonese duck was awful soggy, cold and tasteless. Surrounding tables were being served better. No towels or cookies given when bill received, other tables were given these. Restaurant was cold, air con was on.......in January? First and last visit. Never again!

I probably go to this restaurant twice a year. 10 years ago, I couldn't fault it. Portions were reasonable, staff were very friendly and food was served on time. However, the standards of this restaurant have really dropped. Went last week and the staff were extremely rude. Didn't let you get a word in edgeways and kept walking off saying "yes in a minute". Food took forever to come and in dribbs and drabbs. Rice came, and got cold, then the beef in black bean but not the rest of the food. Every dish came 15 - 20 minutes apart. We were there 2.5 hours and were still waiting for all or food. In the end, we stopped waiting, paid the bill and left without even getting everything we ordered. NEVER AGAIN.

First time in here. Third time lucky after 2 attempts to book ( one walking in & another over the phone ). Highly enjoyed our open buffet type of dinner. Most of the plates were tasty & well cooked. Only the fried prawn was over fried ( hard ). Service could be more prompt ( May be Sunday evening was very busy )

What a shame - this restaurant used to be the absolute top draw of Chinese places - everything takes forever, the food isn’t as good and the prices have gone up - we won’t be back for a long time 🤷‍♂️

Attended 15th May birthday party of 14 people. Arrived thought lovely big round table so we can chat to each other. After taking order for starter and mains from each person, we eventually got 2 bowls of rice served first which sat for at least 20 minutes then periodically a main came out for one person at a time not together as the table should of been served. One hour later the last person got a portion of lemon chicken. Don’t be fooled by menu stating 120 dishes to select from at no time was enough food on the table to share nor is this a unlimited menu even though advertised. Service dreadful slow not enough to eat or share even mains when served you are offered a small tea plates £23.80 plus service charge for one small starter, small meal and cold rice is a rip off.
