Chummy Yummy in Hillingdon

Sorry I would not go again. I went on Chinese New year and only 3 other customers in the restaurant- that is saying something for new year! Owner very friendly but the food wasn't all that. I ordered a chicken dish but the meat did not appear as real chicken in looks or texture. Was expendi e for everything thst was ordered.

Beef chow main over cooked and mushy Chicken and cashew nuts under cooked and un seasoned tasteless Chicken sate in peanut sauce overcooked and inedible

A very friendly owner, very good prices, little wait and always good atmosphere and comfortable seating. Very polite and great food. Thank you for all the years of amazing service.

Menu shows pictures, totally different from our orders. No descriptions to help us know either. Menu even says pictures are only for reference. Yes, reference to get an idea of what to order. But, I was too surprised our order was totally different, not a single similarity from the reference menu pictures. Very disappointing.

NEVER EAT HERE came here with my family (all black) they asked us to pay the bill before we ate £89 fully racist I got a video of them saying that Chinese people don’t have to pay before eating it depends on the “type of people” not recommend for black people

We went in a group and tried many dishes. All the food was excellent and different to your ‘standard’ Chinese restaurant. The dishes were authentic home cooked food. Will be visiting regularly.

Walked in without reservation, got table and got served efficiently. I ordered the egg fried rice and the beef in black bean sauce, which arrived at my table quickly. Food was tasty, staff were great. Service charge added to bill.

Had dinner with my friend, really good and traditional Chinese food, we both loved with the sichuan dish which are spicy we liked.

I went with a friend 10 days ago only now recovering from food poisoning symptoms. I ordered egg fried rice with vegetables in black bean sauce.Well the black bean sauce resembled caramel coloured water.The egg fried rice looked like it never touched the wok .The scrambled egg was a colour of yellow I've never encountered (yes I know there are variations in egg yokes) the rice was sticky and boiled.presumably from the night or 2 .Within 5 hours of eating i had the symptoms of food poisoning when i was fit enoughh to go to the doctor no appointments were available .I had booked to go to the isle of wight so went having to wear extra protection due to watery stools After a week this stopped by which time I was dehydrated As a diabetic this played havoc on ketone which can be serious .my advice nothing will come of any of this and they will continue to serve food dangerous to public .my personal advice don't touch it with a bargepole.it has put me off Chinese food which I love to eat as a treat.

Really nice family owned restaurant. Went here for lunch, reasonable prices and the owner is really friendly and kind. Will be coming back!

Ordered takeaway prawn fried rice, it was dry, tasteless and very oily. Never again

Good food with reasonable price

Excellent food! My family and I have been here multiple times to dine in and take away. The quality and quantity of food has always impressed us. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend this place to anyone - especially the duck pancakes

The place came recommended but I was very disappointed by the poor presentation, quality, quantity and packaging. The chicken was dry and as you can see the poor excuse of prawn crackers is Brown and hard not white and soft. The dim sum came with no soya 1 and looking very dry and boring. 1star is for the salt and chilli prawn and the other is for the special chow mein which were just ok.

This place is not your standard Chinese! The menu is extensive, with dishes I have never ever seen before. The customer base seems to be exclusively Chinese. They eat real Chinese food. Definitely worth a visit if you want something completely different. I highly recommended this place.

I’ve driven past on a few occasions and every time I have, the restaurant has had a large number of Chinese people dining there and that for me is the best endorsement ever. They have two menus; one is an authentic Chinese menu with some very interesting dishes on there and the other menu is the more commercial one which is the type you would find in most mainstream restaurants.

Chummy Yummy is a great restaurant. We are English so always rely on the incredibly professional and polite front of house John to suggest authentic Chinese dishes. The portions are very generous and extremely tasty, sometimes proper show pieces. I highly recommend this restaurant as one of the best in Hillingdon - no need to go all the way to China Town for excellent Chinese food.

Authentic Chinese menu, loads of Szechuan cuisine. Prices are decent for the serving sizes. Service is okay, not the best but as expected for a Chinese restaurant. It's spacious on the inside, can fit large parties. Order takeout from here all the time and it's always a safe bet. We tend to get sweet & sour chicken (great flavour), spare ribs (delish & perfectly cooked), Singapore noodles (tasty with a little kick) and their dim sum. Always super tasty and really good value for money. Staff very pleasant & good service. Would highly recommend.

Always great food and friendly staff

The lemon chicken I ordered ... the picture speaks for itself it looks like salmon. The batters fallen off, looks like they’ve scooped in bits of batter scraps from the fryer, the chicken is pink, rock hard like it has been sitting around all day. Food health risk. This is shocking. The chicken balls were rock hard the meal was just a disaster.

Ordered for the first time from here and the battered schrimp and squid arrived under cooked. Called the restaurant and they blamed the weather, blamed the journey and then said it's because they were in a box, how else would they be delivered! They taste disgusting and would never order again from here. No apology when called or sorry we will send another order, just made up excuses for the raw food sent! Spoke with someone very rude when called! Do no order from here!!!! Both squid and prawns slimy when you bite into them and no taste!

This place is certainly one of the finest place to eat in the region. Whenever I visit this place I am profoundly pleased. They maintain their very high standard service and the topmost level of food they offer. You surely will enjoy this this restaurant. Warmly recommended.

第一次嚐到英國的中式菜肴，酸菜魚不錯，蕃茄炒蛋挺軟糯滑口，麻婆豆腐可，炒青菜佳，紅燒豬蹄太鹹不容易入口，炸雞調味稍淡，白飯份量大有趣，整體而言在歐洲地區來說算是中上!!

The food here is terrible. If you have any respect for your palette do not eat or order from here. We had house special fried rice which was terrible, chicken curry which was greasy, salt and pepper chicken which tasted like it was cooked last week, prawn toast that felt like it was marinated in old vegetable oil. This was our 3rd visit to this local restaurant, which was outstandingly good before. The food was mostly as good as last time but the service and presentation were poor. We were surprised when they were about to put the food on the table without a tablecloth, (although the other tables had them) and we had to ask for one. The staff were very casually dressed and one had a hoody. They were not professional, which is really the fault of the management. Before, when we'd had shredded duck, the pancakes would arrive in a steamer to keep them warm. This time they came all on one small plate, along with the duck and salad, so they were cold. Considering the high prices we would expect a better standard of service. Also, the toilets are now unisex, which we do not like. Needless to say we have no intention of returning to this establishment in its current form.

"Ewwwwwww" 😔 Bland noodles with large chunks of vegetables thrown in. Chillie oil was not chillie at all, just tasted of oil. Overall, poor meal, back to Yumchi 😁

I only wished I had read the reports before going here, that is something I have learned. Well info update "CARD MACHINE STILL NOT WORKING", I can only assume they only want cash. I was advised I would "HAVE" to go to the post office to get cash, after I had placed my order. The food came out and looked pretty good until I tasted it AAARRRGGGHHHH saltiest food I have ever tasted, this resembled the mouthful of water I had when swimming in the dead sea a few years ago. The chicken was not very nice at all once you get past the salt, fried rice was more like boiled rice with a few shrimps and strips of chicken, oh yes and it was not hot. Now when a restaurant is very busy things like this can happen, so no excuse as we were the only people eating. 1 star awarded and wonder why.

Giving the excuses of card machine not working and making you to go around and find a card machine to pay with cash only. The quantity of food is very disappointing and the price is to high. The Satay prawn on the skewers is the most exaggerated. 6.50£ for couple of prawns in skewers. The taste of the food is very bad. Tasteless and not satisfactory at all. The spring role it was the worst. Supposedly is vegetable spring rolls without vegetables. Definitely will not recommend to no one to go there. Poor customer service and with the atitude of knowing better then the customers how much to order. If you would like to wast money on bad food. Then your welcome to go to this restaurant.

Not great value for money. Menu needs fixing to specify vegeterian or not vegeterian meal as a veggie dish contained meat so be carefull when ordering make sure to ask ingredients. Also asked for the meal to be replaced but was denied though it was their fault.

Me and my friend ordered a takeaway and it took 55 minutes to come, which was already poor! The man who answered the phone wasn't even apologetic for the slow service. Rice was soggy, spare ribs tasteless, chicken in black bean sauce main sauce was horrific. Heard good things about this restaurant, but will not return. Worst in the area by some distance. Avoid!!!

Late cold dinner, how this takes an hour and a half and estimation time gets extended. The guy forgot the crackers said he would be back in a moment and never saw him again- charming!

Absolutely disgusting. I ordered a takeaway from here, in my noodles I found a staple. I asked for the managers email to send them evidence, I haven’t heard anything back from them. Bad customer service. Disgusting hygiene. Do not eat here.

The service in terms of making my order over the phone and the delivery was nice however the food was not great as I have had better and I felt very dissatisfied with the food. I feel like I wasted £20 and I would have probably buy food that was more delicious for less. Oh well give it a go and judge for yourself.

I have now ordered twice from this restaurant! The quality of the food is far beyond that of the Hillingdon area, and this has to be the best chinese takeaway that I have ever had. The food was packaged in the different containers depending on the amount of steam it produced. Also the taste, and freshness of the order was fantastic! The price reflects the quality products Chummy Yummy makes!

Nice place, but staff are not helpful. The staff was more concerned about talking on their mobile than take our order. When we ordered drinks the waiter said they didn't have it. They didn't understand the menu. When I went to pay by the counter I saw the drinks I asked for in the fridge behind the counter. Disappointing.

THIS PLACE IS DISGUSTING...Food is awful, service is terrible. Gave me a meat dish eventhough I asked for a vegetarian dish and my whole order was vegetarian, said I'd have to pay for another dish! Terrible service. I was also told food would be ready for collection in 15minutes, got to the restaurant 30mins later and I was still waiting for my food to be cooked. Most places in this area are not up to par. Better off cooking at home! Will never eat here again.

The food was very tasty, Michael gave us an outstanding service, you have choice of Cantonese or authentic Chinese cuisine. I recommend this to anyone who likes Chinese We recommend the Spicy Chicken in sicuan style.
