Friendly staff but food was not great ,food not homemade, wouldn’t return in a hurry! Pie was tasteless and frozen veg. Haven’t been for a few years so thought would give it a try.

Literally the worst pizza I’ve ever had. The ham was mush that managed to taste of nothing, but still leave a nasty lingering memory in the mouth, while the base was so dry it sucked the life out of your face.

Ate and drank here several times during our week holiday. Ticked lots of boxes with it's brilliant kids play area and a lovely outside terrace. But unfortunately the food isn't anything to shout about. Very mediocre food, mostly deep fried or microwaved. Very overpriced too. But we carried on visiting as it was convenient and kids were happy. The place could be so much more though. The lady on the food till was great with us all, an asset to their team.

Pub is ok,nice and clean, nice little play area for children to play, food was ok except the pizza my son had was just a frozen pizza but it was overcooked and cost over £10 what a joke…. Drinks are expensive.

2 Adults, one teen and two small children for the carvery. Wanted a place to just walk in as was spur of moment decision. What a surprise.. NEVER have I been to a carvery where the meat slices were as your nan would server- thick and succulent... unlike some Carvery chains where the meat is fag paper thin and you worry it will blow off the plate!! Lovely atmosphere, helpful staff, aesthetically it may be a little lacking, but it didnt detract from an excellent meal!!. Also carvery comes in 3 sizes, Large (3 meat slices) Small (2) and Child (1). Will go again.

Six of us went for Sunday carvery and were amazed at the quality and ease of service. We turned up at 12;30 and it was already massively busy with 80% of the table in use but you can't book so turn up either very early or after 1:30 to guarantee a table. Ale was good and the meal was superb with lashings of meat and as much veg as you can pile on your plate. Even the kids enjoyed it and they are 2 & 8.

Visited here with friends on two occasions and both times the staff was friendly and attentive despite being busy. Ordered a wide selection of food and drinks - burgers, curries, lasagne, etc. All are prepared to great standards; fresh and hot when served. The staff were incredible allowing us to sit outside under heated lamps as we had a dog with us. Seems like the locals local, which is always a sign of a good location - especially for Sunday Roast. Would visit again.

We called for Sunday lunch with the family, including a three year old. The food was delicious, atmosphere friendly - full of families with dogs - everyone outside as it was that extremely hot week. My grandson played in the play area between courses, which he enjoyed. A friend who lives in the area told us that even the locals pop in for Sunday lunch - praise indeed! We would certainly call again.

This was a good pub with nice food. There was specials board in addition to the main menu. I'd stopped by a few days before to check if they had highchairs (yes) and if you needed to book (no, but I'm sure they have busy times!) They don't serve food on Monday or Tuesday and offer a carvery on a Sunday. Staff were very friendly. Would definitely recommend

Just went here with my family... Over £60 for food and drink for 4. Sent the fish fingers back as they were cold in the middle. I ordered a pizza for £13.50 I'd be disappointed if I'd paid a pound for it from Iceland! It was the worst pizza I've ever eaten, sent that away when the replacement fish fingers arrived and chose to eat the cold chips the served up this time instead. No apology as the serving staff are all under 16 and don't have the training and experience to deal with the complaint. There's one food order till with the senior member of staff and somehow a queue out of the door! It's only not got a 1 star review as the location for drinks is decent and a park for the kids. Don't eat here if you want a bit of value for money!

Visited on a busy Sunday and whilst we chose not to have the carvery (even though it looked delicious!) we were able to pick from their regular menu and enjoyed our burgers. Popped back later in the week and had a lighter lunch - toasties and a breakfast cob. On both occasions service was efficient and there was a choice of seating inside and out. What's more, beautiful hanging baskets! Will be back 😊

This business needs to review the information on its website, it says that the establishment is open Monday to Sunday at the beginning of the webpage, further down it says new opening times, closed Monday to Wednesday, due to the confused message we called today to see which was correct, and yes, option 3 ,according to a scruffy piece of paper in the doorway, closed Monday and Tuesday. Advice for these apparent business people, get your facts right!!

More an apology than a review. We came today on a sunny busy day. With all the new ways and restrictions staff were clearly all busy doing their very best to keep things running smoothly. Without thinking we moved tables from a shaded area into the sun when the previous occupants vacated. We were rightly told that by moving before the table had been cleared and sanitised we’d put ourselves at risk. I want to thank the waitress for reminding us how it’s all our responsibility to keep this virus at bay and the small thoughtless actions don’t help the staff when they’re already so stressed and busy . Well done to all the staff for keeping a lovely local safe and open for patrons. I hope everyone else thinks before they do things unlike us. Best wishes and good luck for the autumn and winter season. We will be back but with more foresight next time!

We visited twice during a recent holiday in Wales. Our first visit was just for drinks which was fine and the staff really helpful. We decided to go for a meal a few days later. It is currently walk in only and we were lucky enough to get the last available table. Unfortunately we had to keep our coats on as the door was wide open and it was the day of storm Francis so it was really cold in there. The food was nice enough, but I'm pretty sure the chips were just oven chips. The steak and ale pie was the best quality with plenty of meat. Unfortunately the dessert choice was very limited, no chocolate fudge cake left and no honeycomb ice cream either. (The waiter explained there had been a problem with the freezer). We just ordered a couple of ice creams for the kids. £4.50 each was a bit extortionate for what they got so I wouldn't recommend them. Again staff were helpful and polite throughout and excellent measures have been put in place to respect social distancing, track and trace etc. Getting a lot right here and it's in a great location, just a few tweaks would have made it worth 5 stars, hopefully when we go back, they will have taken note!!

The service by the young lads was fine, it was the woman who appeared to be in charge that let us down. The first thing was demanding payment instantly, we all found this a little strange since paying for your food after you’ve eaten is the common courtesy, almost as if she was worried we wouldn't want to pay after trying the food, and i don't blame her! She then refused to let us split the bill, forcing one person to put quite a large payment on his card. Then after getting asked for id and not having any, I had accepted quietly that I wasn’t getting a drink, but she still found it necessary to make a comment about me looking like a child. When the food arrived, it was sub par, the ‘breaded’ chicken was flat and battered like something out of a birds eye box and the chips were chunky and dry like school dinner chips.

Distance seating was excellent! Table was clean and surrounding areas. People not following clear guidance the only problem that I could see. Staff have entrance and exit marked but some people made their own decisions there. One thing that isn’t a criticism but would be helpful. Please display WiFi password or add to bottom of menus. Keep up the good work at these very different times. Look forward to visiting next year.

Walked in expecting a lovely warm welcome but from there it all plummeted downhill , our waiter can only be described as OBLIVIOUS not only did he not bring us our menus but then he just disappeared , but then a new lovely handsome young chap who we believe was called Martin came to the rescue and brought us the menus , he was incredibly polite ! Shout out to you Martin!! But then the food came... My daughter ordered a margarita which was appalling!!! It looked like it came straight from the freezer and was more of a cold cheese sandwhich than a pizza - it didn’t even have tomato purée I am disgusted !! For the extortionate prices of these meals it was not worth it as no love and care has been put into making our food, rather it has just been slapped on a plate and called restaurant worthy food .It really killed the vibe so we went to whetherspoons instead. This pub really needs to take a long hard look at itself and improve a great deal as it’s embarrassing to the Welsh community And the robinsons brand thanks a lot robinsons thanks a lot, thanks to you you’ve ruined my evening just so you could have the money . And just to add you didn’t even do the eat out to help out , did you see what you did there? It’s a scam.

Visited on Sunday 19th of July. We went there for a Carvery but was told that only the roast was available, so I asked if I could change it a bit (due to intolerances) it wasn’t a problem! Fantastic service, food and drinks came very quickly! I live locally so always like to go here and it is definitely worth itnever been disappointed! All staff members were brilliant, the lady that served us was so nice I wanted to tip her and a young lad £3 each as they Gave amazing service, and as I didn’t have cash I was able to do it on card. Will be back❤️

I visited the day that restaurants were allowed to open outdoors only and the tables had all been arranged at the back and round the side perfectly with a large number under cover to protect against the wet welsh weather. The young waiters had everything worked out well and the food and drink was brought out in good time. I didn’t see anyone waiting long for either and it was pretty busy. The portion sizes of the food are really good and the food itself was super tasty tasty and didnt disappoint like some standard pub fare can. Will definitely be back.

Visited for a meal and drink and charged £3.20 for a j20 which I consider to be extortionate. I assume the same unreasonable markup applies across the board for drinks so suggest this place is given a wide berth.

But 6 of us had dinner here last night The ambiance is great - cool autumnal evening was met with a roaring log fire The pub was packed We ordered and our food arrived in a timely Fashion My chicken pie with a side gravy boat was hot and tasty but a small portion My other beef is I bought a J2O + lemonade in a pint pot and was charged £4.40 which I felt was a significant overcharge We definitely will go again but order differently A great pub with willing friendly smiley Staff Well worth a try C

Went here with a few friends, hoping for the best. Unfortunately, it was awful. The bar manager, Elwine, was one of the rudest people I know. Was too busy talking to his friends by the bar to acknowledge me. The food was, at best, microwave rubbish, nothing homemade. Good luck to anyone brave enough to go to this place.....

Carvery on Sunday. Lovely ham, Melt in your mouth, broke apart with minimum effort, Turkey succulent / moist. Beef a bit chewy / tough. Roast potatoes hard / overdone. Sprouts good. Cauliflower cheese very nice. Mash potato fine. Prefer petits pois to mushy peas so wasn’t keen on mushy peas with a Sunday roast. Generic smallish frozen Yorkshire puddings ok. Gravy was bisto style and not homemade but did the trick. Carrots nice and sweet and tasty. This is a good enough carvery and Id go back and have another for sure. I ate it all and enjoyed it. Roast potatoes bit disappointing but maybe because it was 4pm and not 12. The ham was beautiful but beef not so. It was very busy. Normal plate is £9.50. Large plate £10.95. Friendly staff. Drinks expensive! £4.20 for carling!! Heineken £4.65!! I’d rate the carvery 6.5/10 or maybe a 7/10. I’d mark it down on the roast potatoes, the Yorkshires and the beef (and the gravy is just bog standard out of a can which is a shame because some carveries make their own gravy which are much more tasty). I’d recommend it here for Sunday roast if you’re hungry. Portion size is big too.

For the price I thought the food was very average, the fish and chips I had was pretty bland. Setting was nice though out in the gardens and I’d return for a drink but not for food again.

There is times of the day where there's no alternative for having a coffee in town. We went here twice during our visit of Caernarfon. I did not take a coffee at the second visit as I didn't like it. It is less clean inside and everything seems a little loveless. The sweet cakes etc. are great though. At least, the products are rather inexpensive.

We made the mistake of going back to this pub having visited several times over the years, it was completely dead and the bar lady had a serious attitude problem, when two other guests arrived the bar woman was now siting in the corner and i pointed her out simple saying the bar woman was over there - she completely turned on me obviously annoyed i’d called her a bar woman ( she clearly wasn’t a solicitor) which also resulted in her partner becoming extremely aggressive and was expecting a physical assault to be taking place, luckily i managed to de escalate the situation which if full of locals would’ve only been worse. The woman clearly has mental health problems and probably a drug user and shouldn’t be working in an environment selling alcohol.

Alana is a scam artist. Sends damaged squashed and disgusting cakes and then refuses to refund, would not order again from these people

We were looking for somewhere downtown harlech for a drink and food with our two boys, 9 and 14 years of age. We read the sign outside. Everyone welcome except for children. Dogs especially welcome. Adults only. A few of the local guys told me it's a swingers hotel where the dogs can get involved. Avoid. If you do want a good pint with holiday makers and locals all enjoying good food and drink and friendly conversation I would highly recommend walking an extra 200yds to the pub right next to the train station. Dogs, kids, humans all seem to be equally welcome

We popped in without a booking but were happy to have our meal in the bar area. The service was good, prices reasonable and we both had the fish and chips which was excellent. We were staying nearby and would definitely return if we are in the area again.A beautiful location next to the sea.
