Never again will I or my friends order from here ,fish greasy,chips NOT FRESH, owners attitude poor, wat a waste of money

Had Fish and Chips a few times since it opened on Underwood Drice. Each time fish freshly cooked, crispy batter and full of flavour. Chips decent too. Sometimes a long wait as cooked fresh but worth it.

The food from here tasted excellent Friendly service and reasonable price for the food. Will 100% be using this place again

Somewhere that actually does cheese chips and gravy where they actually put lots of cheese and gravy all over it decent chippy only qualms I have is no salt and vinegar in chips or fish cake or scallop so bit lacking in taste but that can’t be helped as ordered off food hub and they don’t let you do notes the woman who delivered was polite and it was here 30 mins early so thankyou I appreciate it

Waited over 35 minutes in the takeaway for a simple order, Chicken dinner, Malaysian Chicken Curry, rice and prawn toast. Boiled rice tasted and smelt of the plastic container which it was in, curry was disgusting, the few pieces of chicken were rubbery and gristley. The container was mostly filled with onion and hardly any sauce. Prawn toast was cold, hard and saturated in grease which could be squeezed out. All ended up in the bin. Chicken dinner was just passable. Waste of money and definitely gone down hill.

I don't care when you put the price up u can get that for at least 12 less and quilty much better still a rip off never again if I new the price I would of never ordered I will tell ppl that aswell

This is a large apparently yes they sent more but chips are vile no taste full of oil

Ordered delivery and it was quick. Delivered right on time. Food tastes good. I added a note to the order and they did actually read it and they prepared it exactly how I requested. 😊

Dreadful experience. What an opportunity missed considering the previous owners were poor....crispy beef more like Charcoal beef. Staff argued in front of customers. Cash only...need I say anymore

Really rate this place, but when you have an issue please answer the phone, we have sent someone to collect our remaining order but paid delivery, really poor that main order sent and bits missed… then no answers on phone calls…. Really feel let down especially when we order weekly..

Waited 45 minutes for our order, and people kept coming in and ordering after us and getting their orders before ours. And after eventually getting it and going home to eat it I noticed I didn't get what ordered which was kung po chicken but some kind of prawn,pork and chicken thing which I couldn't eat as allergic to prawns. Deeply disappointed with our experience.

Weekly tradition now and our family's favourite takeaway out of the whole region. Portions have gone slightly smaller recently but expect that's due to costs....but quality is still great

Normaly love this place but gone down hill

Have ordered a few times but been hit and miss chips OK but had first Chinese from here and not again beef chop suey no taste could of done better at home had donner meat and salad other wk salad not fresh sorry am done not again from here.

Ordered online via the app (feeding family of 6), paid online and drove to the chippy, went inside early to collect and good job I did as they do some of the items fresh and ask if you want salt and vinegar. Food was all good,hot and tasty,no complaints, is well staffed and they work efficiently and at a fast pace.

Excellent food wouldn't go anywhere else.

Best fish and chips I have had in years 😋

Ordered 2 meals. Small sweet and sour chicken with salt and pepper chips, duck in pineapple sauce and a portion of fried rice with sauce. The sweet and sour came on top of the chips which then caused all the sauce to be soaked by the chips making the chicken chewy and the fried rice came with the sauce mixed in. Never been to a Chinese which does this and I hope I never come across another one which does! Will not be ordering from here again

My normal chippy was closed. I found an old menu. What a difference. Chips where sharp as knives. It used to be a lovely chippy

Is it ever open? Says on the door it closes at 2pm, when I've visited there on my lunch break around 1pm it's been closed almost every time. They should choose the opening hours and stick to them

I've ordered from here a few times and I've got too say its been lovely, but today was the worst ever even from any other Chinese! I ordered Singapore fried rice, was more like risotto was all stuck together and wet. Had 3 prawns 4 pieces of chicken and was cold, but not as cold as the chips they were inedible!! The beef in mushrooms had no flavour and that too was stone cold.. Too say we were disappointed is an understatement. Never got eaten.

Tried on a whim as my regular was closed. Well this is my new regular. The food is delicious.

I really enjoy this chippy and it is great value for money. I just wish they would add hot dogs to the menu.

First visit was an excellent experience (6/04/21). COVID safety features in place, clean shop, pleasant lady serving. Had to wait for fish to be cooked, nice one. We had fish and peas each, and it was very nice. Batter not too thick, fish was tasty, complimented by the mushy peas. First visit but certainly not the last. Well worth the extra miles to travel their.

Would definitely recommend this chippy, especially the salt & pepper chicken & chips, cheese burgers are good too, the staff were lovely, really friendly & chatty

Best chippy in the port, doesnt matter what you order, it is always freshly cooked and tastes amazing.

Great food. Basics are fab as are the main dishes.

Foods amazing and very clean environment. Very satisfied.
