Awful service. Came for Sunday lunch arrived at 14.30 still Waiting for desert at 5pm. Would mind but her was only 6 people in the restaurant include my party of 4 Food was cold service was poor. Don’t bother. I’m surprised the restaurant is still open. Has a check to add a service charge. Won’t be back.

I went to Glasshouse Restaurant to celebrate my anniversary,My husband and I loved the experience,service was good food was divine,I've been there before but seems they improved a lot on the food a high standards taste for a good price,I am going back next Month with my friends will be my favourite restaurant from now on.

We had a great evening at the glasshouse restaurant. It was a Lovely friendly service, the food was lovely, I would definitely come again,

I went here with a friend. We were waiting for menus. They got our drinks order wrong. They got my mains order wrong. I ordered medium/well fillet steak and it was chewy and inedible and very rare. The owner then offered to show me the whole fillet of steak they had delivered when I asked if it was a fillet cut (because it was chewy, full of fat and sinew - I couldn’t even cut into it). Rude and bad food.

We booked for a valentines dinner. It was a set menu which was fine, but was immediately told there were no meatballs on the starter menu but they had everything else. This was 8.15pm so not late. We chose the octopus, this was OK but lacked flavour a was a little slimy. For main we had ribeye steak which should have come up with smashed potatoes, it didn't! it came with chips - no smashed potatoes left. The table net to us asked for chips but were told they had no chips. The steak was awful, both ordered medium, it was definately rare, chewy, visible sinue and white fat - we tried an could not eat it. We then waited over 25 mins for them to clear the plates. By this time we were sick of looking at a raw, bad quality steak, so we opted not to have the dessert. For £45 plus 10% per head, the food was not good quality. Even with a set menu only 3 dishes per course, they were running out of items. Its the first we have visited but unfortunately it will be our last. The food quality is bad. Not even a glass of prosecco - a high price for for a bad quality meal. The table are so close together its like you're one big table. WE did complain and our bill was reduced.

First time .Will not be the last .Good value for the food serviced. We had squid and meat balls starter,sea bream, ribeye steak for main,Home made pannacotte and Lemon tart bonn.

Fantastic venue for a family get together, celebrated daughter’s 18th birthday. Food was amazing and the staff very attentive. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Lut and his team opened especially for me and my family (14 of us) on New Year’s Day as it was my birthday. I can’t thank him enough. We all had 3 courses and I couldn’t fault the food or the service at all. Will definitely be back soon.

Our third trip to the Glass House and the best one yet. The Christmas dinner for a group of 20 was brilliant. Our first experience under old ownership was poor. New owners are really great hosts and the food is decent.

Having not been to Bexleyheath for years I chose the Glasshouse from the reviews with some trepidation. Would a glass restaurant be noisy and cold? No it wasn't! There is a free car park behind the pub opposite, even a zebra to cross the road....

Booked for Christmas Day 2021 and what an awful experience. Waited outside for 40 minutes for the table, seated in a corner where it was guaranteed we would be forgotten about. Couldn’t hear the music and little atmosphere where we were sat. 30 minutes before they took our booking name to actually know what our orders were!Miss flew course skipped as they then brought out the steaks. When questioned, was told that we had stated the middle course in the booking but I said it was stated as a given. Told we would have the middle course with the main but then we pointed out we hadn’t been asked how he wanted our steaks.Another 30 minute wait and then had to send my 10 year old son’s steak back as rare! Mum had 9 chips on the plate and so said something - was brought out more. At the end, when asked how it was and my mum said not that nice, the retort was, ‘Well you’ve eaten it all!’ Mum said it was my brother as he was hungry. Christmas pud for dessert only half eaten. Had to ask for the bill twice and in the end went up to the counter to pay. When we refused to pay service, aggressively questioned so we explained about the long wait and little communication given. Told we were taking it away from the staff and manager was clearly unhappy at our decision but we were very disappointed.Another table told us their friends had been stood outside waiting for nearly an hour to then be given back their deposit and told they couldn’t be served! It’s Christmas Day - honestly!Communication would have improved this situation - that, and not overbooking! No apology was forthcoming and the attitude was shockingly poor.Been here many times before hence why we chose for Christmas Day dinner but would not recommend or return.

We arrived at the restaurant for our Xmas lunch and were made to wait over an hour outside (with 4 children- one being only 4 months old) for our table that we had booked back in 2020. We were not once greeted by anyone or given an explanation for our waiting outside. The restaurant looked clearly hectic and very busy. After some time the owner appeared and asked how many people we needed a table for…we had booked a table and paid a deposit so I was hoping our table would be ready for our arrival- clearly is wasn’t.Eventually we sat down to a very untidy table with no cutlery or Xmas crackers. We were then made to wait to make a drinks order while the waitress/waiters appeared rude and unknowledgeable. We had preordered all of our food ahead, clearly this had not been shown to the kitchen as we were made to remind them of what we had ordered and were asked a number of times throughout the meal.While we waited for our food the restaurant become more and more busy with very unhappy customer. We were watching families being turned away from the restaurant they had booked months ago and told that they could not accommodate them! We saw one mother in tears!The whole experience was tiring and long!The owner Jimmy who we know as we WERE regulars to this restaurant appeared to be rude and his attitude was absolutely appalling. He obviously had one agenda for the day and it was pure greed!We feel this restaurant clearly let us down as our Xmas meal was ruined. We stayed committed to supporting this local business as we were booked in for last year and it was cancelled due to restrictions so we carried over our booking to this year and was keen to support our localRestaurant. Pure greed and over bookings ruined our special family day.We will not be returning or using your take away service if restrictions are reintroduced.Good Luck!

Wonderful Birthday Lunch. I went to the Glass house for lunch to celebrate one of my friends birthday. I had the mussels to start and my friends had the mozzarella and ham special both were lovely. I then had the liver and bacon mash, which was bliss, pure comfort food and my friends had the special lobster and prawn ravioli, which they said was excellent. The service was great and nothing was too much trouble for the waiters. This is the second time I have been and both visits were excellent. I am definitely going to go more regularly as we need to ensure gems like this survive in current times. Bexleyheath has very few restaurants of this quality!

I couldn’t fault the food and service. Made my daughter’s birthday a special one. However, to the table sat next to us I’d like to ask why they believed that they were in Tier 1 and that they are immune to this virus! 3 couples clearly not in the same bubble and blatantly enjoying a night out with no regards to the government guidelines. Hope you had a lovely night. I sure didn’t sitting near by watching how arrogant you all were. Would love to have had my whole family celebrate with my daughter but we stick to the rules. Been meaning to post this review for a while now! We went to The Glasshouse last month for dads birthday celebration. The food and service was fantastic. My dad and sister both had the fish special. Dad said this was the best meal he had eaten out in ages. There was a great atmosphere in the restaurant and the waiters were very attentive making this a special family night out for us all. Booked for what we thought would be a quiet nice meal out, but unfortunately after we arrived a table of 6 people arrived, well that certainly wasn’t the case, they were very Merry and rather loud, I know it’s not the restaurant’s fault, the other table next to us were getting louder because of that table of 6. We couldn’t hear ourselves speak with having to lean forward. Fancied a pizza but was told they don’t use the pizza menu over the weekends, it would have been nice if that put that on there website, there wasn’t that much of a choice, compared to other Italian restaurants we have been to. Asked for a jug of water and got a glass of water. Unfortunately I will not be going back there, I will stick to our normal Italian restaurant.

Despite turning up late and having to rush due to the governments stupid rules you can catch covid after 10pm we were greeted with a warm welcome and quickly ordered our food.I asked for a recommendation and ordered the best Halibut I’ve ever tasted. My partner had the truffle chicken. Both were excellent.We will definitely be back to try more from the menu, albeit a lot earlier.As we were leaving all the staff were there and they were all very friendlyThis will take over from Chupitos as our go to restaurant from now on

I decided to book a table at the Glasshouse as it had been recommended by a friend of my wife’s and each time I had walked passed the restaurant it always seemed busy.. I took a mate who loves Italian food and myself also. The menu seems attractive and well price so after the good review I booked a table for Sunday lunch. When we arrived at the restaurant it was empty but I thought maybe people eat late on a Sunday as our table was booked at 12.30.We were showed our table and given menus and drinks. The waiter kept coming back to the table after having to check with the kitchen twice what the specials were. We decided to choose off the A la carte menu as it sounded more appetising than a roast dinner. My first point that started to annoy me was that as the restaurant was empty the waiters decided that it would be a good idea to hang around our table and almost joint in the conversation. At one point I wanted to say please can you go away, if we need you we will call you! Before I mentioned anything one of the waiters brought the food. From first view it looked ok but my friends veal escalope was a rolled piece of veal what wasn’t expected but different. As we started to eat again the waiters were hanging over the table again what was became overbearing! I ordered spicy seafood spaghetti, from first view it looked pleasant but at further inspection the seafood was a little lacking! Issue 2) Four dirty mussels with their beards attached and one prawn cut in half with tinned tuna in the sauce was not what I class as seafood spaghetti and neither was there any spice. I eat the dish and cleaned the mussels myself and decided against complaining or sending the dish back as we’re both hungry and wanted to enjoy our catch up then to wait for the food. My friend seem ok with his but after mentioning it was not memorable. Issue 3) The waiters seemEd a little in a rush as surprisingly the restaurant wasn’t busy so not sure why. As soon as the last drop of food was gone so was the plate and the same with the beer, almost snatched out of the hand!! I wasn’t surprised the atmosphere was lacking as we were the only guests but the service was rushed and unfriendly. I didn’t feel we were made to feel overly welcome. The poor food and rushed service made for a disappointing meal The dessert wasn’t anything worth mentioning either. When we left I had to apologise to my guest for lunch as I had promoted the restaurant and we both had high hopes. 4) There is nothing better when you leave a restaurant and turn the corner and see the chef (clearly not Italian) smoking and in Chef whites that looked like that had not been washed in a while. Restaurants! We don’t want to see someone who cooked our food smoking in site of the restaurant and clearly lacking in hygiene. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone! Poor service, and very disappointing food... and if you see the dirty chef just run for the door!!!

Hidden little gem in Bexleyheath Absolutely well worth a visit the food and staff was spot on. Great menu and some very good specials 👍🏻

Had the best evening ever,5 ladies having a giggle and that’s exactly what happened all night with the staff who were so attentive and funny made sure we were looked after all night the food was exceptional can’t wait to go back had the best evening ever and even after we paid the the very reasonable bill we’re all give a complementary drink on the house,thank you to all the staff for a fantastic night Table 8 ( I think ) xx

Glasshouse restaurant Bexleyheath. Attended restaurant on the 30 October 2020. Unfortunately cannot recommend as manager was very rude to my daughter when she pointed out that the garlic bread had no garlic in it. Staff said they would remove from the bill. Main course steak my dad asked for rare steak, he was told by staff advised him not to. Though it's the only way my dad has his steak. Had to ask for it to be reheated he was told he was eating to slow. When my daughter pointed out to the manager that the customer is always right manager said no they are not. A good evening mared by rude staff.

What more could you ask for great food and service. The house white is very good and worth a try. Eric always makes us smile and looks after us very well not rushing us.

I have visited this restaurant many times since it first opened, up until a recent visit this week.Jimmy and his team have worked hard to bring a local venue and it's reputation up to top notch. They are always welcoming (at times comical) but very friendly. Food is always of great quality, with plenty of choice they will accommodate for anything. It's a versatile venue, for couples, families and friends. It's a gem for Bexleyheath. Only criticism is some dishes are a little pricey. Specials are highly recommended but they often cost more. So when with a larger party dining with drink it can hike up the price. Especially if like myself you are a non meat or fish eater. But that won't stop me going!!!! and recommending it.

First time eating here and was really impressed. Had a lovely meal, one of the nicest I’ve had in ages. Not really being a pudding person, didn’t find there was a huge variety. Wish I’d had a starter instead. Would definitely go again.

We've eaten in many restaurants in London but the level of service at the Glasshouse stands out amongst them all. Jimmy, Simo and Eric make you feel so welcome that dining here feels like going to see friends, nothing is too much trouble and the food is absolutely delicious every time. We had a lovely evening sitting outside last night, the King Prawn Linguine and Chilli Chicken were spot on and their choice of wines is superb, thankyou for a wonderful evening and for your excellent service, looking forward to our next visit already!

This is run by the same team who used to run our favourite Bexley restaurant, La Cucina. The menu is similar and is equally excellent! Lovely staff and fantastic food, especially the sea bass.

The Glass House in Bexleyheath is a fantastic environment to either drop into or plan an event with friends and family, the staff are overly friendly and make an effort to give you a smile and remain professional at the same time of your order. The staff remember you when you return and go out of their way to make you feel as comfortable as possible. You're not just a returning customer to them you're almost like family, they will go above and beyond for you with no complaints or hassle and the food is amazing, highly professional and incredibly homey, I 100% recommend trying them for the first time and also entice you to return when you think of going out again!

I have ordered food twice on Deliveroo from this restaurant and both times it has been a very quick service and the food is absolutely to die for!! I highly recommend the king prawn linguine - honestly the best I’ve ever tasted :D

This could so easily have been 5 stars but my wife insisted I mark it lower. Her issues were 2 points. She only ate half her starter as there was a bug on the lettuce leaf. She pointed this out to the waiter as he collected the plates but only got a very dismissive apology. I believe a good restaurant would have taken this more seriously and offered a replacement or taken it off the bill. Being in a group of 6 we didn’t want to spoil the evening by complaining further. Her second point was the cleanliness and state of the toilets. The toilet seat downstairs was loose and she felt the one upstairs looked grubby. Now for the good bits, the food. A few of us, including me had the Barata to start, which without the added bug, was very good. Again a few of us ordered the Lamb Kleftico special. The meat was cooked very well and could only be improved by a bit more sauce. The wine menu was good and the choice we ordered, both red and white, were good examples of their type. The service, again minus the bug issue, was efficient rather than friendly. Would we return? Probably not. We eat out a lot and the issues I’ve highlighted would put us off coming back.

Honestly can't even describe how delicious the food is and how professional/lovely the staff are. Thank you so much for a delicious meal. Highly recommend!

The Glasshouse restaurant never disappoints! We had the most amazing meal last night! The food was absolutely delicious and you can tell that they have really taken time to select the freshest and highest quality ingredients. The staff are all so lovely and even though it was busy, they still took the time to come and chat to us, making us feel very welcome and valued. The staff always give great recommendations so we always follow their advice! Love this restaurant!

Great food lovely atmosphere and fab service. We had the specials on offer and we didn't regret it! We were served by a lovely gentleman called Eric,would definitely return.

Great Sunday meal with friends. Sunday roast beef was faultless as always. My son had the veal special and skate wing which he said was fantastic. This is one of the best local restaurants around - great food and always excellent service. Try it I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

Booked to go here whilst government scheme is on, and on a day you can use taste card. Checked to ensure both can be used at same time. Lovely meal, staff were pleasant. However when it came to the bill, I asked to use taste card. They refused and said they would never have taken a booking from me if I had said I had a taste card. They then turned rude and nasty. Never been to a restaurant with such rude staff. Sadly that behaviour has meant I’ll never go back and I’ll not recommend to anyone. Quite the opposite.

waiters were all all very attentive throughout our meal and very friendly. Lovely atmosphere and food was amazing! we enjoyed our dinner date and will definitely be returning x

The service and attentiveness of the staff was amazing, particularly Eric who directed us through the house specials for that evening and a lovely kind young Turkish lady whose name I didn’t catch unfortunately. We chose the scallops wrapped in bacon, they were truly delicious with an amazing sauce to accompany them. The Creme Brûlée is also a must have for me at any restaurant that serves it, I was not disappointed at all. We will definitely make a return visit to this friendly well run restaurant, as we can say without any doubt this meal was the best food we have had in Bexleyheath in a long time.
