Stuzzichini in Bexley

Best Italian restaurant in the area. Even after 15 or so visits, the food and drink is consistently excellent. A good measure of an Italian restaurant is the quality of it's classics, and the classic bruschetta is really fresh and tasty. That said, the rest of the primi piatti menu is pretty tasty too. The pasta is where Stuzzichini's secondo piatti strengths lie, particularly the fennel sausage pasta and the clam spaghetti. There are other mains but I have made it past these 2 dishes yet 😜 Naturally the red wine and prosecco selection is where I spend most of my liver time, but there is also a good amaro or two behind the bar. Oh and Ichnusa is a pretty decent lager. Suffice to say we'll be back. Again. For more fennel sausage pasta 🍝

Met up with friends for our Christmas gathering and pre ordered our meals. The food was lovely, I particularly enjoyed my duck starter, the mains were delicious, and my Tiramisu desert was huge and wonderful. The service was good. We were there for hours and weren't hassled or encouraged to leave. Will definitely return.

Contratamos una habitación privada, que costó mucho, para una velada más íntima, PERO fue mimado por los idiotas borrachos en la habitación adyacente, gritando y gritando e irrumpiendo en nuestra habitación mucho. La Dirección no tenía control o no podía molestarse en controlarlos, lo que estropeó la velada. El restaurante era tan ruidoso que era ridículo. Qué pena. Great lunch, great menu selection, food was lovely, I had lamb shank, my hubby had mixed roast, and it beat him, so much. Will definately come back. Xx

Oh mi palabra, no me esperaba esto. Establecimiento enormemente cómodo con un menú magnífico. Nuestro anfitrión tenía el plato de mariscos más grande que he visto como entrante, ver fotos! Seis de nosotros y ni una palabra de crítica, la comida llegó a alrededor de £ 200 y también lo hizo la bebida, que fue una pena, ya que estaba dividiendo la cuenta por eso con otros. Desde entonces he visto el sitio web que tiene más de 600 imágenes. Añadiré uno o dos a esta reseña.

Great restaurant, lots of comfy seating and nicely spaced out. Great choice on menu, classics and also some different ones to try. Service always top notch and prices decent. Montepulciano by the glass 👌

Had an absolutely lovely dinner date with my wife today. Was a nice comfortable atmosphere and the food was to die for. I had the Nduja Puttanesca and she had the steak. We were both very very happy with the food and the service was so friendly. I was surprised it was so quiet today (however we are the weirdos who enjoy going out to dinner on Monday!) Would definitely recommend for good authentic Italian food and decent prices.

Food is great, proper Italian menu with loads of dining options. Also went on a Sunday for the roast and it was excellent. Went again on a Saturday night, great atmosphere,great food

Very nice the service was exemplary. I only marked the atmosphere down because we were next to a table of all young men who were loud. But everyones entitled to enjoy themselves. I was hoping for a quiet evening.

Habíamos reservado para visitar la propiedad de National Trust The Red House y buscamos un buen lugar para almorzar de antemano. Aunque Stuzzichini se veía bien en el sitio web, honestamente es uno de los mejores almuerzos italianos que hemos tenido fuera de Italia. Sospecho que pueden tener un equipo secreto de encantadoras Nonnas trabajando en la cocina. Optamos por el almuerzo establecido. Tanto el salmón y los entrantes de ensalada eran encantadores. Todos comimos la deliciosa cazuela de cordero plato principal era muy grande en sabor y estoy seguro de que probablemente al igual que la receta de Nonna. Ahora las 3 opciones de postre se veían bien, pero no pudimos resistir los pudines a la carta. ¡OMG! Todos eran divinos y los tres teníamos uno diferente cada uno. Una nota rápida de que el servicio era excelente, la carta de vinos se veía bien y era una factura muy razonable al final. Ojalá abrieran un Stuzzichini donde vivimos. Gracias por ayudarnos a alegrarnos el día.

¡Qué joya de restaurante! Optamos por el almuerzo conjunto de 3 platos por £ 17. 95 en un tranquilo viernes a la hora del almuerzo. El camarero atento era muy educado y eficiente, y la comida salió rápido, muy bien presentado y era delicioso. El espacio del restaurante y los aseos eran opulentos e impecablemente limpios y el espacio de alquiler de eventos en el sótano es ideal para cenar en privado. Tienen una pequeña terraza de asientos al aire libre también. Sin duda volveremos.

Me and my partner went to Stuzzichini on a spontaneous date night, we both was feeling a roast dinner so I suggested here having previously heard good things about the restaurant. The food was incredible and high quality, safe to say easily one of the best roast dinners I’ve ever had. Great value for money also just under £30 for Three courses, the service was very professional, we never felt rushed at any point, we had an amazing experience and will for sure be coming back to try some of the other dishes they do. Our only critical feedback we would suggest to improve the overall dining experience would be to put some sauces in a pot to come alongside the roast dinner, for e.g Mint sauce and horseradish.

We went for a Sunday roast, after all the reviews and unfortunately it's rather underwhelming. Chicken roast was deep fried, the gravy was very thin and sour (suggestion to the chef: check Bisto, if you really can't manage). Yorkshire puddings looked sore bought, which in the end doesn't leave much... Service extremely slow, so would not come again, sorry Stuzzichini.

Birthday lunch and as always, the food, staff, service and atmosphere were perfect. The outside terrace is a lovely place to relax and enjoy the good weather. One of our favourite places and we will definitely be back soon.

We went for a Sunday roast. Reasonable price and nice food. Chicken was a little dry but otherwise really nice food! Friendly staff for service as well.

Another visit to Stuzzichini. Great food and service as always. The Cacciucco Zuppa Di Pesce was delicious. The chocolate mouse is still on the menu 🤦 but I can confirm it's a chocolate mousse 🤣 I did point the error to them. I'm sure they will correct the menu at some point.

Had a lovely dinner here mid week with family (13 in total). The food was quick, fresh and delicious. Varied menu that everyone could eat from and were accommodating to our needs. Our server was great, very efficient and couldn’t do enough for us. We brought our own cake and they were happy enough to provide us with a knife to cut and serve it (some of us did order dessert from the menu though). We reserved a room downstairs and there was a minimum spend for that, but they did tell us that when we booked. Everyone left full and happy, looking forward to coming again :)

Our visit to Stuzzichini was a wonderful experience. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble . Perfect for a romantic meal or fun with friends. The food was amazing. Loved the lobster pasta- served in the shell but with all the hard work done for you. Lots of chunks of lobster in a chilli tomato sauce. Can’t wait to have it again! Great service too.

I can honestly say that our visit to this restaurant, has rapidly gone down hill. £ 18 for two glasses of wine , of which I was charged service charge, a bit off , as I picked them up at the bar . The food was absolutely rubbish. Cold , chicken was a pile of skin and bones. The tables were served at different time . So we agreed to let first served to go ahead and eat they were Finnished before others even got their food . We have actually eaten at this establishment in the past . Of which it was OK. Now as a reviwer with thousands of followers, can only say it how it was . PETE'S HONEST REVIEWS.

Had a really lovely lunch here with a friend. The staff are super friendly and attentive. We had 3 courses and a few drinks for £60 each so reasonably priced too. Highly recommend, thanks!

Have been here twice now. Both times food has been great. Strong variety, including good seafood. Would recommend the scallops. Difficult to comment on the atmosphere as it has generally been quiet when we've gone midweek, but the music playlist is exceptional. Servers are friendly and talkative, and the restaurant itself is a pleasant place to have a meal. We'll definitely be back here again.

Have eaten here several times and really love this restaurant. Portions are really good and the food is always delicious. Cocktails are amazing too. Really recommended for a meal.

I’m not a fan of giving negative reviews unless I absolutely must, but alas, this is one of such occasions. Ordered a ‘sharing’ platter of seafood that was supposed to be accompanied by a bottle of Prosecco, and portion of bread and olives. One of the first disappointments was missing Prosecco—tried to call the restaurant three times hoping to rectify the situation, but unfortunately nobody bothered to pick up the phone. Then, we realised the olives were missing also. The ‘portion of fresh homemade bread’ were a few tiny slices of a VERY stale bread. Moving on to the seafood, prawns and (tiny) lobster must’ve been frozen for so long they had no flavour whatsoever. Scallops tasted funny and old. Portions of salmon, octopus and anchovies were laughable—barely a spoonful of each. Overall, not a single item could justify charging the upwards of £60 for this meal. You can still get large and fresh platters of seafood for the same price in central London. Unfortunately, will not be coming back.

First visit to this restaurant and it surpassed expectations. The menu has so much choice, and the waitress was exceptional. I don't live in the area, but will definitely return if visiting.

Went out for a family celebration absolutely disgusted by the lack of poor service, the lack of time keeping and the taste of the food. After a meal was missed got offered a 25% discount which was completely needed after getting the bill that 25% off wasn't on there and then tried to put a service charge on the bill after they messed up on multiple occasions would definitely not recommend going there as they are very unorganised. and just not good at there job if I could rate it 0 stars I would

Maybe one of the best pizzas that I've had in a long time. Even compared to the price i'd have said my meal was good value for money. Much larger on the inside than I was expecting. Will definitely be visiting again.

All I can say is I come here a lot at least once or twice a week and have never had a bad meal .Anna and Elina and their staff are there for your every need . the Sunday roast is superb and now doing a mixed meat which is presented superbly . Not forgetting beat the clock deal on a Tuesday ..all in all such good value all round and the quality is very high . Thank to the staff and chefs

I had no problems with the service, they were attentive and they offered to exchange drinks when we we unhappy with it, with no extra charge. I had a made a mistake with the dish I had ordered and they were willing to take it off the bill which they did not have to do. Service is faultless. The portion sizes were good however I found the food to be lacklustre, definitely needed some oomph. The beef carpaccio could have done with a dressing instead of a lemon to squeeze over it so that was very disappointing. The scallops were very fishy and the orange part left on was slightly gritty, my companions could smell them from the other side of the table. Pizzas were OK, all in all, it was an OK experience but definitely not one I want to revisit.

Andrea was absolutely lovely! She was super personable and catered to all of our needs. This girl is an asset and deserves so much praise!

Amazing Italian restaurant - possibly the best we've been to. Highly recommend getting a few of the smaller sized pastas/risottos so you can try multiple. The pizzas are also incredible. Favourite dish was the duck risotto with orange sauce.

The staff is always very attentive. Food is very nice and we leave always full and happy! Good for kids too!!

Nice place however alcoholic drinks very overpriced £29 bottle of wine. Check it out for yourselves. Ask to sit by the front window as it's very dark in there. Sunday roast two courses for £21 which is reasonable

Several of us went for Sunday Lunch, nice atmosphere, pleasant surroundings. Staff friendly, but service very slow, 20 minutes to get first drinks, then well over an hour for main courses to come up. Also 1 extra starter and one extra main course came up! One beef was poor, but other roasts were fine. If you’ve got all afternoon for your meal then this is your place, just needs more staff to make this a great place.

Went for the dine in for a fiver on Tuesday I thoughtly enjoyed my meal However the vegetarian options are somewhat limiting and need to be looked at as the one thing one of my group wanted was not available and she had the pasta which she said was bland and dry

1st time visiting here and sadly it will be my last. Ordered the potato croquettes which were frozen inside (literal ice). After i complained the manager didn’t even have the courtesy to come over and apologise or offer any kind of compensation for this which left a sour taste in my mouth. Ordered the pizza for main just to be safe as most other things are probably frozen.

I really do not know why my wife and I had not tried this place before yesterday! An impromptu table for 2 (hadn't booked), but we were well looked after and warmly welcomed. We initially struggled with wine choice as we are unfamiliar with Italian reds, but were offered a 'taster' of two - both well balanced and made for a difficult decision - finally opting for the Primitivo. Starters - mussels (delicious) and Tri Colore salad (so fresh!). Mains - We both opted for the Sunday Roast 3 course lunch. My wife had the largest and tastiest lamb shank ever, and I had the roast half chicken - both portions were so good, we struggled to finish them. Desserts - Limon cake and Cannoli chosen - and they were lovely! Food envy moment was when we saw the Tiramisu on another table - and we kind of wished we had gone for that instead. Our lovely server was Baiba. A wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, great food and attentive staff. All in all, we had the best meal out in ages and we can't wait to eat here again.

6 of us went for a bottomless brunch for pre Christmas celebration. Baiba kept our glasses topped up and made us feel very welcome and at ease. The food was from the main menu and was either , starter and main or , main and dessert. Cannot fault the service or the food.

Absolutely have always rated Stuzzichini. We've had some very enjoyable and memorable times with friends and family experiencing top class service. Hands up we haven't been there for some time. Decided to revisit for a special family meal and was so very disappointed. Service has dropped like a stone. Two of our party were not served their order of a basic Frangelico Affogato Al Caffé and not told until everyone else had eaten their dessert that they could not fulfill their order. During the starters an additional order of bread was ordered this arrived as the starters were eaten. Attitude of server was not at an acceptable standard. Will not be revisiting and certainly will spread the word. First time in my life I refused to pay the service charge.

I love this restaurant the food is authentic and delicious. Not over priced and a good portion (not too much or too little) the best Italian restaurant in Bexleyheath in my opinion. Also …. the cocktails are delicious! Best dirty martini 🍸! Would recommend to couples or friends.

We had a wonderful evening for a birthday with a few friends. Baiba was our waitress for the evening. We finished every dish served, plus desserts all around. We will be heading back again for another collective get-together.

A celebration for three of our birthdays in the conservatory. We were able to select 2 courses from the A La Carte menu and Prosecco for 2 hours! Food was really enjoyable and our glasses were never empty. Atmosphere was so comfortable that we stayed for the evening purchasing a few more drinks.
