First time visiting since its change of management and the food was some of the best we've had in a long time. The south Indian lamb curry was particularly great! Friendly staff and diverse menu options. Will definitely be going back to try the other dishes!

Called into the glass tandoori tonight for a take away, the lady on reception was very knowledgeable about the food and very friendly, the food we ordered was exceptional, full off flavour and taste , will definitely return very soon, thank you very much for the experience Kind regards Jim

They actually informed us that there was a Buy One Get One Curry Free offer which we were happy to take advantage of so poppadum's followed by 2 mains and some sides washed down with 2 Gin & Tonics all for £24. Perfect.

Best authentic Anglo/Asian food in town! Great service, great prices!

I paid £22 for a takeaway delivery. The Sheekh kebab was dry and cold. The Madras Chicken was like Korma with not a lot of chicken. The Lamb Vindaloo was even worse. The only edible dish which tasted freshly was the Bombay Aloo. All dishes ended in the bin apart from the Bombay Aloo. I phoned the restaurant who did not want to know as I had binned the dishes. You have been warned, terrible food and the manager on duty tonight do not realise what customer service is!

Food was really nice. Full of flavour Garlic Chili Chicken with plenty of texture and colour. Also a lamb korma which lamb was very tender. 5 stars from me, thankyou *****

Really enjoyed our meal here, and at £12.95 for popadoms, starter and main with rice and naan what’s not to like! The wines too are very reasonable priced and some pretty good labels in the mix. The mixed starter, there is no choice on the discount menu, was very good and the main courses plentiful. But for me it was the Peshwari naan which made the meal - utterly delicious! Lovely staff, intimate surroundings and good food. Downside - the restaurant is up a flight of steep stairs do not suitable for anyone who has trouble with steps.

Not familiar with Hereford restaurants but finally came across Glass Tandoori and what a hidden gem it is.. staff all very helpful and polite and food was out of this world.. peshwari naan was probably the best I’ve ever had.. food all arrived very promptly and was delicious.. would highly recommend to anyone who loves Indian food!

Food, service and atmosphere was as excellent as before it closed. We were so happy to return as we had not found any other Indian restaurant to come close to the standard.

In Hereford for a few days. .. Popped in here in our last night ( a Thursday). Tho it wasn't busy busy there were a few tables already dining... And it was only 6.30.. The lovely waitress were so nice... We were not rushed not did we wait unduly. The food... Wow.. so so nice... And such alot of it. We ended up asking for it to go home... We actually could not eat another morsel.... Restaurant was clean... Spotless as we the toilets ( always a good indication!!) Thank you....

I've been going to the glass tandoor for over 25 years and I've just had the best chicken jalfrezi I've ever had. PLEASE KEEP IT UP. Fantastic

We ordered a very large meal for my aunt's birthday in May, and they were excellent, having the whole order ready for us to take away within one hour. The staff were lovely too. All of the food was really exceptionally good, some of the best curry we'd had for a long while. We are not local to the area, but would recommend the Glass Tandoori to anyone looking for a fab take away or restaurant.

The glass tandoori has recently reopened with a fresh new look, excellent food (as always) and very friendly service. No shop front, the entrance is located between the chip shop and GG’s bar - be sure not to miss it. They are now offering a superb ‘banquet deal’ which is very reasonably priced and worth checking out. A little oasis overlooking the hustle and bustle of commercial road. Best Indian in Hereford! 👍

Yet another fabulous meal from the Glass Tandoori. We visited over the festive period on a particularly busy night, service was excellent and the food was equally as good. I had a nice Madras and my mrs has Chicken Saagwala both meals were presented really well and tasted great. Always had good food here definitely the best Indian restaurant and takeaway in Hereford.

Every year I go for my birthday and loved the food and service , well the waitress was so lovely but had to send one meal back as it was the wrong curry . It was taken back and no replacement offered but when going to pay which I declined for the one meal the rudeness from the male staff member was disgusting .he spoke to me like I was dirt . This is a shame as I would normally highly recommend the glass tandoori . My birthday evening ruined .

Great take away just busy as usual!

Had takeaway from here three times now. First time was a good experience in terms of the food and the service. Second time round the food was less good and it took well over an hour before the food was ready for collection. Tonight it has taken an hour and a quarter and we’re still waiting. It’s a Saturday and they’re busy so I would be more understanding, if only they hadn’t told us “half an hour”, and then after 45 mins reassured us with “just another 5 mins”. Not just an unfortunate error - clearly just lying to us.

We previously ate in at this restaurant and were very satisfied. Tonight we ordered a takeaway and were anything but. We waited an hour and a half. The food was cold and not tasty at all. I don’t know what was wrong but we didn’t enjoy it at all. The only person who enjoyed it was my daughter who had chicken nuggets and chips. After this experience we won’t be returning.

After having visited numerous times and love it there to be told they couldn’t accommodate my dietary request when having done so on many occasions, no substitute offered very poor won’t be visiting again!

We usually go to another popular Indian restaurant in Hereford, but they didn’t have any tables so we thought we try a new one and we were not disappointed.

Have eaten in pretty much all Indians in Herefordshire and the only one that makes us go back is the glass tandoori. Always use the delivery which is never late, food is always hot and most of all it the food feels like it is really thought about. I could eat the rice dishes on there own they are that good, the meat is always fresh, it’s just generally fantastic. Service is always friendly too. It’s bad though that one of the guys says hi to me when seen in the street. We obviously have too many

Visited on a Saturday night with family - the staff weren’t very warm and welcoming, not a comfortable vibe. Only one lady made me feel welcome. However, the food was quick to be served. The curry was satisfactory but I have had better. It is in a good location so was able to have a few drinks in town after. Won’t be rushing back or recommending.

Expensive average Indian cuisine, there are better in Hereford

5 of us had a business dinner on a Thursday evening. We started with popadoms and pickles all excellent. We had then a had a mixture of starters recommended by the waitress, these were also excellent especially the chicken chat which was particularly good and would definitely recommend. Then on with the mains we all had something different all were good and good portions, I had the Glass special which was a mixture of Chicken and Lamb which was good but too much to eat in one go, for me! They also serve Cobra beer and the wine was also very well priced. Good restaurant and would recommend for any occasion.

Great food, great staff and a great price. Didn’t even show on the normal search. Some meals include rice and bread so be careful not to over order. Gutted couldn’t take my left overs home as I’m from Hertfordshire in a break. ++++

We dined on a Sunday evening when we couldn't find a roast anywhere in Hereford. We weren't disappointed with our choice. We were greated by a friendly host who showed us to our table and let us have the one by the window. She was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and made a recommendation of the best rice to have with my dish. We had starters pomadoms and a main dosh each and rice each. And shared a naan too which we were delighted with the presentation of been dived in the serving dish so we didn't have to take it. The presentation was excellent and the food even better. One of the best meals and dining experiences I have ever had. Our only regret was we weren't able to finish however the host kindly packaged for us so we could take home and have the next day. Great food, clean restaurant, excellent service and value for money. Strongly recommend this establishment.

Had a really nice meal with a large party. Service was friendly and quick. Venue is super clean and tidy. Food was good, just a bit cold, but that's 100% down to the large party. Plates served were hot but by the time main courses...

went to this restaurant Thursday night after watching a film with my wife were shown to a table bye a window across the room there was a table with six men sat at it eating and drinking there language was disgusting fs bs cs every other word our drinks came and poppadoms just after my wife went to the toilets having listened to more of this foul language i decided to leave we didn't pay for anything we hadn't touched any of it i could understand if it was late a night but nothing was said to these people at all they just expect you to put up with it we wont be going there again

We cannot fault this restaurant, the staff are always very polite and the service is excellent. If like us you like a good Indian meal then the Glass Tandoori is the best in Hereford by a mile! Cannot wait for my next meal :)

Pedimos una comida para llevar a recoger en nuestro camino a casa. Presentamos y le pidieron que esperar. Después de 10 minutos me dijeron que el hombre estaba esperando a la entrega de la puerta! ! ! Nos dijo que nos recoger! Entonces el hombre dijo que tendría que esperar la entrega por nosotros al llegar a casa, que nos han llevado 20 minutos! ! Me dijo "no" y quería fresca, lo que hicieron. Sin embargo, tanto los platos que me & marido pidió sabían igual aunque pedimos diferentes. Sólo sabía a pollo en salsa de tomate - no insinuó de cualquier especias. Muy decepcionado.

Very quiet for a Saturday night. Food excellent and lots of it - a large Doggy bag fed two students later on!Two large byrianis with saag aloo and saag Gobi sides plus an excellent lamb shaslik fed three of us. Paratha was nice and light.Decor was cool with a two tone theme and lots of mirrored tiles.Would definitely recommend - service was good and the bill more than reasonable.Also an excellent pint on Kingfisher on the hottest day of the year!

I am a huge curry lover and this restaurant is one of Hereford's best! I usually grab a takeaway but this week we decided to eat in. The service was superb and the lady was more than helpful and always smiling. I had a Chicken Madras and my gf had a Chicken Sagwali (spinach) both of our meals were nice and hot (heat) and well presented.Prices for both food and drink was fair.If like me you enjoy a good curry then this restaurant is a must!! We cannot wait to return.

Had takeaway food from here last night for 5 people with starters, collected and had excellent freindly service, and the food was excellent, the best Indian food we've had in Hereford for many years.

Before I write my gushing review about this gem, I need to say that I am an Indian, always looking for a good Indian restaurant in UK, and mostly disappointed by the 'curry' houses (bar a few in big cities). However, this unsung hero is a real treasure. They do PROPER Indian food. Their kadi-pakoda is to die for (a dish you don't even see on menus in UK) and don't miss the chana-puri. The service friendly and attentive, and food very very good value for money. Ok, the decor is a bit dated, but who cares! The food is mouth watering, authentic, nicely flavoured - these guys know what they are doing. I hope it keeps going and more people can appreciate proper Indian food. Very highly recommended.

We ordered a take away Saturday night at half 8, food came in good time considering how busy they were! Beautiful food. Will definitely be ordering from there again!

We were told by many friends that this is 'THE' place for an Indian in Hereford. Unfortunately for us we found the food distinctly average and lacked flavour, maybe we ordered the wrong things. The price is reasonable and the staff were lovely, we were well attended to and looked after. I will probably try another Indian restaurant next time I am in Hereford.

We found ourselves very fortunate in finding this little gem of a restaurant. The service was great the waitress's were welcoming and efficient. Then the food... what can I say, it was full of flavour. We all agreed (and there was 6 of us) that the meat just melted in your mouth. Portions on a couple of the meals were a little small, a little more sauce would have been welcomed. Go in and try it.

this is a real disapointment. the restaurant has been decorated and looks quite good. the food however was just awful.. small portions and poorly seasoned / spiced. a real shame. with so much more to offer in the city i would reccomend to keep walking by.

The food was ok and it very reasonably priced but the portions were way too small. We are not huge eaters, we had poppadum's, then a starter and then a main curry each and to be truthful we weren't full or stuffed at all which you would expect to be after that amount of food. The Nargis kebab was served without an omelette which was disappointing.

Fabulous meal, great spices and amazing value as it turned out to be two for one. Apparently they run this Sunday thru Thursday.Definitely be going back. IMHO the best curry house in Hereford. Don't be put of by the lack of frontage. Well worth climbing the stairs for the food.

Went to the Glass Tandoori last Tuesday with my brother in law whilst our wives were having a break from us in Torremolinos.We both like hot Indian food but settled for a couple of Madras's.Very tasty as were all of the accompanying bits and pieces.The two for one is great value.The service was very good and speedy.maybe because it was early evening,about 7 o'clock.The two for one makes it one of the cheapest Indian restaurants in Hereford and the food is excellent.So good we went again on Wednesday.While the cats away the mice will play!Iknow where we're going next time "Those who must be obeyed" decide to go to Spain for a few days!!!

I had a takeaway from here in November and didn't find it very hot. In January sat in the restaurant for a family meal and it was much hotter, staff are helpful and very friendly. I would recommend eat in.

We eat here weekly, it's fantastic value for money and it's always very good.the staff are very friendly especially Jay ...Plenty of meat in the curries and home made chips ! From the take away downstairs.

I ordered via the Let's Eat website on New Years Eve, when the food arrived there was a Pilau Rice was missing and I requested the Keema Rice to be without peas, which was ignored, so we had 4 mains and 1 edible rice, when I called to complain, I was told there was a 3 hour wait, so we ended up making our own rice and then warming the food up, which by then turned the Nan bread to cardboard. The meal was ruined, and cost me £37.10. I did complain to Let's Eat, who gave me a £15.00 voucher, which I will not be spending here.

Arrived half an hour late (took an hour and a half in total), when it did finally arrive, all of the starters we ordered were chucked together into a paper bag which was obviously now dripping with grease! Most of it was luke warm, but the rest was cold. The chicken pakoras were chewy due to being sat around and put in a paper bag I imagine. And the samosas were dry and very ordinary. Such a disappointment and waste of money.

We enjoyed a curry here last night with our family. We pre-booked for 5pm, the doors were closed until after 5 past. We were seated straight away, service was very slow. It took ages for our drinks to come out. The curry was nice, not the best I have had.The atmosphere was good, staff weren't attentive but the curry was OK, would we return, I don't think we would. The service needs to be better.

Another fabulous Vindaloo from the Glass Tandoori tonight! Staff are always polite and food is first class! Congratulations for serving up some of the best meals in Herefordshire. If you fancy a good meal and a sensible price then try this place, you will not be disappointed at all. Also good to see the chippy below with extended weekend opening hours too.

Easily my favourite Indian restaurant and favourite place to eat in Hereford. The food is always good, very cheap and staff are really friendly. Service is quick and fuss free. Nicely decorated and comfortable.

This was my first visit and my first Indian food out and about for a long time after a bad experience years ago. So I was slightly dubious but me and a friend visited, on a recommendation from a colleague.It's more upmarket than places I've been to in the past, so we felt out of place in work clothes! However the service was fantastic as soon as we arrived. Be warned there is a flight of stairs to access the restaurant, not an issue for us but could well be for others.The poppodoms, oh my goodness these were amazing, I'll never have shop-bought ones again. Same for the mango chutney, wow that was nice! Drinks were reasonably priced for a restaurant, and a decent choice too.The wait was not too long for the freshly cooked food, and I went for the lamb korma and pilau rice. The portions for each were excellently sized too.Oh my days this meal tasted gorgeous! I've never had a curry like this before! The flavours were amazing, the meat well cooked and generous amounts of it too. I will never buy a ready meal curry again!Splitting the bill into our individual shares was no issue either, which usually gets much grumbling and moaning. 5 star service in my eyes and massive compliments to the chefs who made such an amazing meal!I'm planning to come back without a doubt, sometime next month or for my birthday meal!

I've visited this Indian many times and have eaten in and often have takeaways. It is the best Indian I have ever visited and you cannot beat the quality. On top of that it's reasonably priced as well. I would recommend anyone who hasn't already been here to pay it a visit, you will not be disappointed.

Went here for a birthday meal with 5 kids in tow menu was very kid friendly which was fantastic bogof Sunday to Thursday so that was a bonus clean and tidy in the restaurant can't say much when we left though lol only joking will definitely be back

We haven't been here for years,it was very good then and is still very good. A nice atmosphere, with very helpful staff. The food was all freshly cooked and really tasty without being too hot. Generous portions of main meals, made with good quality meat,very well presented and great value for money. The chicken shaslik was really good.

We came in early on a Friday eve to avoid the rush. Service has bee better in the past to be honest, I appreciate it was early but I asked for a glass of water after the meal and no water arrived, we waited for a while then asked for the bill. Food was of a good standard as usual but more expensive at the weekend, next time we eat in we will make it mid week and take advantage of the buy one get on free offer on main courses.

Went early evening, thought it would make a change from the regular Hereford curry house.Freindly staff.Food was very good, although the main wasn't as spicey as i'd like. However they were very obliging and took it back to add a few extra chillies.

Me and my partner went for a curry on a Friday night. It wasn't busy when we arrived but became busy throughout our visit. Was welcomed straight away by a member of staff. She was pleasant and very well mannered. We sat at our table and she gave us each a menu. I asked one waiter what rose wine was the nicest, she wasn't sure as she said she didn't drink wine so got another member of staff and asked them, I found this very good customer service. So I ended up having a bottle and was lovely wine!, when we ordered our started we were asked if we wanted to save any for our meal, I've never been asked that before usually they take them away before the meal comes in other places but not here. The waiter with red/brown hair was lovely. When the meal arrived you couldn't fault it! best Indian I've ever tasted! And as me and my partner didn't like any of the starters, we got offered a free drink. I think that was so nice. The place was clean and tidy, the staff were well presented. I would defiantly come again and would recommend. Good work :)

With so many Indian restaurants in hereford, it's tough to find one that beats all the others but this one is my favourite. Food is high quality, great service and reasonably priced. Would definitely come again, really enjoyed our visit.

8 of us had dinner here and all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, the popadom and dip starter was fresh and tasty, they even asked if we would like it left on the table to have with our main meals which we did, all of our mains were lovely, we all had different , my lamb Bhuna was so good. not much talking while eating which is a good sign, the service was very good, the waiting staff were quick, friendly and polite. The prices are very competitive , we had a bottle of merlot which was around £12 and a bottle of prosecco around £16 , we will most certainly be going back. It is easily missed as above a chipshop and bar but worth seeking out.

Excellent service from door to table to door, have been there several times in a Group (Hereford Curry Club), and once for a takeaway. And speaking for myself found it to be one of the best n Hereford. And as such the Group and I have returned on a number of occasions. Very Quick & attentive service, able and willing to cook any dish to a different heat level i.e. jalfrezi with madras heat. Very smartly dressed staff and quick, price was not unexpectedly high, but was surprisingly reasonable! Well recommended. Hereford Curry Club

A group of us went out on a Friday night and because someone already knew about this hidden gem, we ducked into a door on Commercial Road and up the stairs to a very serene dining environment.Service was smooth, wine was rather good for a house medium and while we were choosing we had popadoms - enough to go round, none left over. Not greasy, not hard, just right.Looking around the restaurant we were the only large group there, but I am not sure whether that would change as the evening passed. I chose a sidhari fish special which came on a bed of minced lamb. That isn't a natural pairing of flavours, but it was delicious and came with perfectly cooked rice,this was sufficient for me.I've already asked Baldy if we can go back as a couple and taste some other dishes.

Having had our eardrums blown apart by a Michael Jackson tribute concert at the Courtyard,we left at half time and all fancied an Indian meal.We ended up at the Glass Tandoori simply because it was easy to park at that time of night.The décor is very modern and comfey so don't be put off by the outside.There was a 2 for 1 menu which had the normal Indian dishes on.The food was very good and the service was speedy.There are quite a few Indian restaurants in Hereford and this is on par with most of them albeit a tad cheaper.Would return but ,hopefully,the Courtyard will reduce their ear shattering acoustics so that we can stay till the end and eat at a later time of night!

Went to the Glass Tandoori on recommendation from a friend. Ordered the vegetarian dhansak with a side of sag ponir and plain rice. Firstly they delivered pilau rice, with an apology as they had prepared the wrong rice, but immediately promised not to charge for the rice, so at this point I was still happy. Unfortunately as I ate the dhansak and the sag ponir it became apparent that they were both laden with salt. I didn't notice this initially, but it gradually built up until it overwhelmed my taste buds. Too give the restaurant it's due, when the bill arrived they had not only knocked off the price of the rice, but also not charged for the dhansak, so I really felt I couldn't complain.

Not the best meal.... The chicken tasted like it had been frozen and thawed... YUKWent again due to the reviews and further disappointed.... One to miss at the moment.

I have started to use this Indian Restaurant as a change from the usual in Hereford. The food and menu choice is very good as is the service, a nice touch adding a complimentary snifter at the end of the evening.I can recommend the Tandoori Chicken Honey Lush (dont let the name put you off), a very nice curry, not too hot but plenty of flavour and spices, Mushroom Pilau rice was cooked to perfection, Naan bread was just right.Only downside is they do not provide local Hereford beer.Well worth a visit - don't be put off by the outdoor surroundings.

We use the Glass Tandoor regularly for eat in and take out meals. They have always been faultless ....however, the meal delivered on Friday was terrible in every way. I ordered the meal at 6.45pm - despite several phonecalls and assurances - it arrived at 8.35pm. It was luke warm and apart from the onion bhajis the meals were very poor. The Chicken Tikka Massala had virtually no meat in it, the Patia was considerably more spicy and less tasty than usual, the rice was dry, the Saag Paneer was inedible..... A complete waste of time and money. As a regular I was left very disappointed.

Food was fabulous, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They had sold out of the wine we wanted, so they offered us another one to try and if we did not like it we could change. The bill was very reasonable. We were not rushed to leave. It was a top night.

well last night was first time i had been there it was great will with out a dout b back again and again went with my partner and me mum and stepdad they use it all time so we gave it a try food was exvellent i am very fussy when it comes to how my food is cooked the curry i had was not that spicey so they made it hotter for me the staff are friendly would recomend it.also it is cheap as we had 8 popadoms 4main meals 1 x nan bread 3 glass coke j2o and 4pints kingfisher beer total bill £57 and as a thank you the staff gave use a little tipple of whiskey to me and my stepdad it is good as you look thro window and you can watch the food getting cooked

Great food, had the fish sidari amazing. Went with friends and one had allergies and they went out of there way to cater for them. Perfect night in great surroundings

We love the food and friendly staff here. We always have a great experience and yummy food, the best for Indian food in Hereford.

This was our first ever order with this restaurant as we've only just moved to Hereford. We chose it due the great reviews, ordered online via "Just Eat" and chose to collect for our convenience, at a time to suit us. Upon arriving at this time to collect, I was told that it had been taken for delivery. I was told that I could go home and meet the driver, which meant that my order would be getting even colder whilst waiting for us to get home!! Not happy to do this, they offered to make us a fresh order, which I agreed to. Sadly, the quality of this takeaway was below what we were expecting, and don't think we'll be ordering again. My starter tasted just like my main course, both tasting very strongly of a well known stock cube!!

Friendly staff.One of the better lime pickles. Not overly salty like most curry houses.Nagis kebab was too dry and overcooked but otherwise tasty.Mains. Ordered a 2 chilli curry which wasn't spicy at all. Waiter happily took it back and returned it just right. Very tasty.Above average but not quite very good.
