Girdle Toll Cafe in North Ayrshire

Attempted to order fritters but was informed that they can't make them? Sliced potato in batter and deep fried in a vat of hot oil for 3-4 minutes. Now as a chippy, you might, as a pre requisite expect, potatoes, batter and a vat of hot oil to be present on site- apparently not! - or perhaps they just couldn't be ars*d. This is the standard I expect unfortunately from this chippy.

We got a delivery from here which arrived very quickly and the food was piping hot. The food was good and good sized portions for the price. Definitely worth a try!

WE are new to the area and were looking for a decent chippy. The girdle was recommended by friends and OMG what a chippy. Special fish is to die for and the chips are always fresh,hot and never reheats. Should apply for chippy of the year. FAB

Really good quality food well priced great flavoured chips. Good menu Lovely staff very helpful n cheery.

Visited here regularly, very tasty food and always good sized portions. Great little chip shop. Would highly recommend.
