Giraffe in Trafford

Been in here a couple times as we travel a lot. Never fails to amaze me. Today i had the pleasure of being served by Megan & Janice who were a lovely pair of girls and were always smiling. Giraffe will always be my favourite spot for food in Manchester Airport! Recommend to everyone.

Katy was super friendly and helpful, and so were the rest of the staff :) We all enjoyed our meals and had a table with a great view of the runway!

Came here before my flight to have some food and drinks. Was served by Josh. He was patient with my daughter when she couldn’t decide what she wanted. He made sure we had everything we needed and checked up on us throughout the visit. I couldn’t say a bad word about him. Thank you ✈️

Food was spot on, service by Zoe was brilliant and attentive. Got us a great window seat as our ten year old demanded it, she even asked me for id when I ordered wine (I’m 52😂) Thank you Zoe for a great start to our holiday.

Had some food and drinks before flying off for my birthday. Was looked after by the amazing Josh. He was amazing and patient with my kids. He double checked to see if we had any allergies and made sure we had everything we need. Found out off another colleague he was the manager. He needs a 5* himself! What an asset! We will definitely be back! Thank you again Josh

Lovely food- cheap by airport standards and really delicious. We had the spicy chorizo eggs and the veggie breakfast and were so impressed with the quality. The waitress was so kind, she gave us a seat in a closed section so that our sleeping baby would have some peace. Food really was amazing, we really enjoyed it and it gave us a great start to our holiday, would 10/10 recommend!

Popped in before my flight. Ordered a burger. Food lovely! Zoe looked after us! She was very helpful and friendly.

Burger served with rotten lettuce. Passionfruit martinis served without passionfruit liqueur. Getting waiters' attention required 15 minutes of waving. I do not generally leave reviews but this was bad enough to merit it.

Always great service, very quick and manage to find you a table, no matter how busy. Reasonably priced for a chain airport set up. Good food and drink. Service makes the place though as reasons it’s always our stop off when travelling through Manchester.

Perfect spot for a pre-flight breakfast. Nothing fancy but a good menu to pick from, with fast and friendly service.

Zoe made our visit here really enjoyable. Not only was she helpful with my wife’s allergy but she was fantastic with our little boy who was being quite indecisive about what to eat. Overall, a very positive experience. Thank you,Zoe!

Pretty standard fare and the team serving don’t seem very enthusiastic about the hospitality industry that is until they offer you the option of a 12.5% tip when you come to pay. Ordinary.

Service: Disappointing. I waited nearly 15 minutes to be served, even though only about five tables were occupied. After finishing my meal, I sat with an empty plate for 25 minutes—even after telling the server I was done. No check, no follow-up. Food: Underwhelming. I had a stir-fry—decent portion, but the quality wasn’t great. On the plus side, they do offer plenty of options for people with allergies and intolerances, which I appreciate. Location: Quiet atmosphere with relaxing background music—definitely a positive. Overall: Honestly, you’d be better off grabbing a to-go sandwich elsewhere. I won’t be returning.

One of the horrible customer service and food , They said served within 10 min however waited 15 min for drink and food came later pankcake was cold , there was bread missing and waiting 5 min for cutlery ,

Manchester Airport- Zoe Lovely customer service, we were travelling back home after a lovely holiday (tired family). Zoe was lovely, we told her that we live in IOM and she told mentioned about her grandma that used to love to watch TT. 10/10 for your service. Very friendly 🙂

Service was professional, sharp and very friendly. Our drinks were very well presented and poured with perfection thanks to Megan. Our food came out very quickly and was delicious, there is a great wide selection of food to choose from! Thanks guys!

Stephen was there to greet us at the door. He ensured we got seated promptly and was an excellent server throughout our visit. I noticed how he never stopped clearing tables, ensuring everyone was OK on his section. This is a very busy spot and as someone who works in the industry cannot be any more impressed with his work ethic and energy. Top class. We will be back

Worse than poor. Low quality food and low quality cooking. Coffee like dish water.

Generally pretty poor. Floors dirty, food sub standard. I ordered a kids pizza for my daughter and it appeared to be one of those little Chicago town things you can buy for £1 (except giraffe charge £7 or so) Husband had a vegan burger - the bun was rock hard. My salmon teriyaki was ok.. we got the feeling everything just came out of the microwave. Wouldn't visit again unfortunately. Staff were really friendly, the only redeeming feature.

Giraffe T1 is a relaxed place to enjoy some food while waiting for your flight. Zoe, Amy, Rachael and Stephen offer excellent service. Great staff make a difference. Friendly and always with a smile. Gluten free options are very good and the food tasty. My regular place for food and to chill when travelling through T1. Definitely can highly recommend.

I went here when I flew to Dubai a couple of weeks ago. Had the lovely pleasure of Zoe serving us. She was such a laugh and was very polite and patient. We will definitely be coming here when we next come to T1. Top service!

Writing this review while sat at this place. The food here is really bad and the quality does not justify their ridiculous pricing. Ordered a crispy chicken burger. It was insipid and complete crap. Worse than a bad takeaway at 5-star pricing. Highly NOT RECOMMENDED

Amazing Mexican themed breakfast. Considerate staff.

So I've previously left a review for this restaurant as the waiter refused to supply a child's menu for my wife who suffers with a hidden disability. He made her feel so embarrassed and belittled. Complained to head office and received a voucher and they told me things would change. Off we go on holiday again so thought we'd see if things really had changed... And yes they had. Asked for the child's menu and with no hesitation it was provided. Asked for a window seat and an area was opened up and we were seated quickly and food was brought out within 10 mins of being seated. Giraffes do change there spots. Thank you to the waitress and the manager who we had the pleasure of speaking to.

In reality usually I'm a get what you pay for kind of person, however, you really don't here. £13.75 for the veggie breakfast (PS - check the photo, toast sold seperatley at £3.50) making the picture below £17.25. The beans may have well not been there, there were 27. 27 beans out of a tin of 465 on AVERAGE. So I'm really not surprised they advertise they aim to serve all meals in less than 10 minutes, there's really not much to serve. That being said, tasted 'alright'

Lovely breakfast. Super friendly staff. Don’t know why people moan about the cost. Wherever you eat at the airport you know you are going to pay over the odds. Highly recommended. Nico was especially helpful and deserves a promotion!!!

Myself and my wife had breakfast here before a flight. My wife is a Vegan and I eat anything. The service was good although they were very busy. The food was very expensive for what you were being offered. My wife had avocado on toast which was nice but very small. It resembles a snack before breakfast but is priced as a full breakfast. I had the Giraffe full English breakfast. I have eaten breakfast in the UK hundreds of times and generally love them. The breakfast I got was rubbish. The portions were small and not cooked properly. I cannot ever remember getting a breakfast as bad anywhere in the UK. We will not be returning to this restaurant and would recommend travellers try another.

Was sat and told someone would be back to take my order. After half an hour of waiting I tried the QR code on the table, but due to them being mirrored they do not work. Had to leave to catch my flight without being served at all. Worst part is it was not busy and many servers were chatting amongst themselves or just leaning against a wall.

Giraffe is our usual place for food when travelling from Terminal 1 at Manchester airport. Our server Zoe, was very friendly and efficient, serving our food in a timely manner. The food (we had the Giraffe Brunch plate) was of a good standard and priced reasonably when compared with other eateries at the airport. No doubt we will be back again for our next travels later in the year.

Great breakfast arrived super quick! Wonderful service from lovely Zoe. I don’t know how she can be so cheery early morning. A great start to our holiday.

Megan our waitress was wonderful, great sense of humour and definitely went out of her way to make sure we had a good meal and were comfortable.

Service decent Breakfast lacklustre, very lacklustre actually. I get that airports have higher prices but quality should match the prices, and it’s diabolical for an English breakfast not to include some toast or bread, to add them was like £3 if I remember. crazy!

Just had a family breakfast in this place ...after good reviews ...wanted gluten free breakfast but had to pay 3.50 if I wanted toast...daughter wanted just bacon bap but could not accommodate...had to get bacon sausage and egg bap ....the waitress was not a bit helpful and very miserable ..sorry but we will not be back

Food was a very small portion. Expensive. Cofee was luke warm and was brought out after the food. To my shock, when the waitress brought the bill. The options on the screen of the payment machine made it very difficult to leave no tip, it was either 12% 17%. Instead of having a 0% you had to press manual and then type in the numbers while the waitress was standing over you. Not impressed at all.

Dave was my server. Absolute gentleman. Efficient, friendly, attentive. And the food is pretty good too. I can recommend the duck noodles as main and chicken tacos to start!!

Wow, What an experience I had at Giraffe Manchester airport. I loved the healthy food. I had the Moroccan roasted salmon. £18.75 Mixed greens on the side. £4.75 The service was great. Served by Rachel and Zoe. At an airport you want great food. They did me an amazing favour aswell. Thank you for the experience. Enjoy the move to terminal 2. With gratitude Cathy

We had the brunch plate, so a standard style breakfast. This was decent enough. However it was Rachel our server who made us enjoy the time at giraffe within Terminal 1 Manchester Airport. She was absolutely lovely, so friendly and helpful. Made time for us to feel welcome and was very attentive. Made every effort for us and made it clear she was happy to have a friendly chat. By far the nicest person we met throughout the whole airport. Thank you.

Breakfast was lovely, prompt service and worth the cost. I was served by good staff and they kept checking in all was okay, what more do you want from a restaurant.

Just had a really nice breakfast here, food was very tasty and plenty, I got the big breakfast and it really did tge job. The staff here were extremely friendly, down to earth and helpful and overall exceptional value for money, just over £40 for 2 breakfasts and coffee.

Zoe took care of me today. She was helpful, friendly, attentive and just a really nice person. I've tried most of the 'bars' at Manchester and nothing beats the Giraffe. The food is always fresh, non-greasy and hot. Its a great way to finish off my stay in England. Highly recommend.

I'm not kidding y’all .. their Pulled Chicken Soft Tacos are among the best in the world! To find them at Giraffe World Kitchen in Heathrow London UK was a pure delight!! And a must try if y’all are missing that TexMex flavor!! I must add, the host and hostess actively get you seated as quickly as tables are cleaned and open and Liezl, our server was courteous and prompt.. Definitely a good choice for a good quick meal when your traveling trough ...

We called in to Giraffe whilst waiting for our flight to Rekjavik today. We were served by Zoe who was absolutley fab! She seated us and then allowed us to move when the sun began to glare. She was pleasant and articulate in taking our order and quick when checking that everything was OK. Food was amazing, and extremely tasty and to top it all off they served my favourite lager. 10 out of 10 for food, beer and Zoe. 👌

Had a sign to tell you how long food would be and they were bang on. Little expensive but it is the airport!!
