Great place made excellent by Zoe who was absolutely and put a smile on our faces ahead of travelling. Zoe is a gem. Promote her!!

Well, usually airport food is bland and dull but this restaurant did get out attention and much to our delight is was great. The breakfast was outstanding and the chance to select what you wanted instead of just buying a fixed breakfast platter. There was also a kids selection which suited our needs. The bread, the bacon, the sausage and the eggs just perfection. You should try this restaurant but be mindful that there was a que outside just to get in the restaurant

Worst experience. They are avoiding us to get our order, even though we are the first one comes first.. also I feel like they want to serve certain group of people which is obviously (personally) racism. Everyone who is working there doesnt care us at all. The food was also not good. We ordered Korean bbq and one of the japanese foods, and both were very dry and bad.

food came fast but was cold, the waiter accidentally knocked a glass of coke onto my sister all over her clothes, then when we asked for a new drink he refused and told us we have to pay for it even though he spilled the drink and stained her clothes! Food wasn’t that nice but was just standard.

Ordered santa fe salad, the chicken was not marinated like advertised, dry and almost tasteless and the salad bery soggy, as if it was waiting for hours for someone to order it.

Busy restaurant with quick service and wide varied menu. Ok food, not too big portions, more taste would be nice.

If you don't want to be racist, I don't recommend it. An older woman, like a manager, was never serious about running a restaurant. The staff was ushering us to a seat we wanted to take, and they gave us a rejection message. We can't sit down. That was informed by the staff. Racism has been properly received. What should we see and learn from them? On the contrary, server staff were considerate and friendly. Rather, if you put the chairs at the side table while you're eating, do you want me to turn you off? I have spent the money. I was even noticed that she was being changed. Her manager made several eye contact with her and ignored her. Why is she working in the restaurant? The owner of the restaurant needs to ponder about the manager. I visited around 4 p.m. today. I was extremely offended by the staff, who seemed to be the average tall female manager with long straight hair. I advise you to reflect and reflect and learn from the friendly staff below.

ParmilaB was great, super helpful and friendly and patient with my gluten intolerance and during the busy lunchtime rush! Great service from ParmilaB

Absolutely terrible service, tried to charge us an extra 10 pounds for a burger bun without sesame seeds (allergies). Shocking service, will not come again. Be warned, don’t eat here.

The management team run by Josh were able to respond to a drink served that we weren't happy in the best way. The food is very much the best you will find in Manchester and we were really grateful for the round of drinks to acknowledge the mistake with the first drink. Many thanks 😊

Expensive for the size of portion compared to non airport restaurants of the same brand, but this is inevitable given it's an airport. The foos was good though and honestly it's got to be the fastest service I've ever had in a restaurant, the food was out before the drinks had been poured! Friendly staff and excellent service. Atmosphere is a hard one, it's a loud busy area and open to the noise of other restaurants. Great view of tarmac airside (planes). It would be nice to see a Giraffe 🦒 in terminal 2 which is currently super limited to no name restaurants.

Ordered hash stacks worth £13 and it turned out to be one of the most miserable expenses. Underwhelming

Felt I had to write a review of the worst vegan breakfast I've ever had 😢 Giraffe restaurant at Manchester Airport departure lounge. I sent the first plate back because it was luke warm. They returned with a plate as hot as the sun, burnt hash browns and still luke warm sausages. How??? And then I bit into the toast: cooked on one side only. How??? £15. I feel robbed. I couldn't make too much of a fuss as I had a plane to catch...

Total waste of time. The food looks like it has been heated in the microwave. The place desperately needs a wash. Dusty and dirty. Missing a lot of dishes and side dishes that are on the menu. Will not visit them again.

Ordered veggie breskfast. Food came fast (too fast... ) as when arrived was lukewarm at best. Toast simply cold as were poached eggs, and rest struggling to reach warm. Very disappointed and will not be stopping at Giraffe in Terminal 5 at Heathrow again, as have done many times in the past.

Parmila was an excellent server made the experience very easygoing and made us feel very welcome kudos to her will be back 100% again next time in heathrow

We have just made the mistake of picking Giraffe at Manchester airport for our pre holiday drinks and meal with the family. The initial long wait at the entrance was then greeted by a waiter who did not want to be there and could bearly raise the enthusiasm to show us to a table grunting “enter “. We then waited about 10 minutes and managed to get the attention of a helpful waitress but there was a drinks drought. No gas for carbonated drinks, no ice on the hottest day of the year, no cocktails and the only soft drinks available were Pepsi Max or Tango which were £12.60 for 3 and warm! The food was only just warm and came served two people at a time with about 5 minutes in between which wasn’t good. For a £95 meal this was a very poor experience from a chain that is normally reliable and my son’s favourite. We had time to kill for our flight and would have spent longer in the restaurant and spent more money. I don’t recommend it and won’t be coming back based on this experience.

Lucasz wad a fantastic server, so friendly and helpful.

The food was mediocre at best. The main course salad dish was side-dish sized leaving me having to eat the kids left overs (which was a lot, see below) to fill up, something I regret given the quality of the food. The kids pizza was "really bad, like a toddler made it from scratch". The kids burger was average but edible. I asked for both kids meals to come with vegetables, one came with fries. The vegetables that did come with the meal were very obviously cooked from frozen with tiny watery smooth carrots with a soft squishy exterior and a hard spongy/crunchy interior. The other veg was mushy. For the price, I would expect at the very least freshly cooked vegetables. The waitress, while not overtly rude was abrupt and not too friendly. The woman who seated us was very friendly though. It was busy and there seemed to be plenty of people dining happily, we were seated next to a window which was nice. We left the restaurant uninspired, hungry and disappointed though. We went to Pret and got more food which was much better quality and half the price. We will be getting food from Pret again, but will be avoiding Giraffe even if it's the only place open.

We ordered the breakfast and was asked if we want white or brown toast. We ordered white. It was only later that we found we were charged £6 for the toast!! My point was they should have told us at point of ordering!

I am not one to write bad reviews, but the staff were horrible to us. Our food was left on the side for 20 minutes and they claimed it was freshly made, when it was cold. After we complained about it being left for a long amount of time and they somehow thought blaming us was the answer because i ordered sides? They didn’t make us feel welcome at all, right off the bat they gave a badly written attitude. They didn’t clean anything off the tables, then when i moves some glasses over to the bar and asked if it was alright if i put these here, she very rudely told me that they will clean my table when they were available (They were just stood there gossiping with eachother and laughing) so this was not a nice experience at all.

Amazing service today from a lovely woman called Zoe. She was absolutely run off her feet but still made time to cater to our party of five and our every demand. Will be back :)

Giraffe has gone massively downhill. It used to be a nice reliable meal before a flight but has got worse in the last couple of years. £14 for a tiny bowl of potato hash, and then £7 for a smoothie. I get overheads at airports are high and all that but it’s now just generic chain fodder. Often also stood at the entrance for 5 mins without anyone even acknowledging despite them walking past multiple times. Absolutely infuriating.

staff very rude, food came out with a 10 min gap between both dishes and no apology. dismissed and looked down upon by staff as person taking my order rolled her eyes at me when asking about a dish. very disappointing for how expensive the food was

£16.75 for the driest bacon I've ever eaten, a half burnt sausage, a plate hotter than the food, dry tomato, and about 10 french fries with curdling baked beans. Don't waste your money on the brunch plate!

Truly awful experience. Food bordering on inedible. Bad produced, badly cooked. Should be ashamed to offer this up to customers.

Not bad, over priced like most things in the airport. Food was very average. The only good thing was the staff. Very helpful, friendly and ready to be of assistance.

Crap, overpriced breakfast, avoid if you can

Tasty food, quick service. All was prepared great, in good conditions. My family enjoyed all dishes and plan to return next time.

Service was abysmal. The staff beyond rude and need better training, they are incapable of getting drinks which takes 30 minutes after having to ask to place an order. Tables are unclean, dead flies are on the walls, staff don’t stop hiding at the back of the restaurant behind a door, drinking glasses are dirty so I can only image how clean their kitchen is. Cant expect much from airport food so it was alright. The ons competent waitress has a brown fringe & bangs and other competent manger is a lovely lady with a short hair cut and glasses. The rest are utterly useless which you wouldn’t expect when the job description is taking an order and delivering food and drink. Whether the staff have had a bad day or just awful at their job - including the so called manager it is not an enjoyable experience . Having a Burger King or literally any other restaurant would be better - in hindsight I’d rather have starved. I have never waited so long in my life “for a table that’s ready and just needs cleaning” - I’d like to add that the taller lad who delivered our food was very friendly!

Will never eat here again. Staff almost act insulted if you ask for a table. I suffer with an allergy and was thrown a tablet that listed out the top 14 allergies, mine is not one of the 14 but when asked about what's in the dishes I was told I can eat at my own risk. Won't be rushing back for sure!

I duly queued waiting to be served as the sign said. Although people were leaving and plenty of seating was available, the lad in charge of operations kept ignoring me, quietly and slowly purposelessly strolling through the tables. Needless to say I had a plane to catch and they claim "10 min service". The guy behind me in the queue left and so did I after more than 5 min. Disgusting service!! Hence I cannot rate the food.

Editable at best! kinda over price airport food. Nothing that special and the drinks too are also over price. If you are really hungry and there nothing to eat sure give it a go but theres other option around there. Nacho was overly salty, egg on that nacho where over cooked, shredded chicken taste like rubber. My girlfriend food were late even though we place the over at the same time. French fries were shocking bad like the old ktc. Least the bread that where use to make the sandwhich were okay. Food quality cannot say as they don't have a rating here matching my expectation, for £13 breakfast was expecting better quality food, baked beans looked watered down, sausage was like rubber, eggs was cold, pancake was so dry even with the sprinkled maple syrup, just an overall experience not great. Unfortunately manchester airport really don't have any great alternatives. Would recommend before flying eat outside the airport to avoid disappointment.

For the price I'd expect a cleaner restaurant. Food was quick tasted okay.

The food is quite expensive which I expect in an airport. However, it also isn't very good and the restaurant is in need of a deep clean. I ordered on the app as instruced, an English breakfast and a coffee which was 20 GBP. It took 25 mins to arrive. The eggsand bacon were very overcooked and dry. No table check so no opportunity to feedback. I will not return again.

Got my food within 10 minutes. Good vegan options. Food was fresh and tasty. Had to add spice but tabasco was present on the table so it was no issue. I ordered a smoothie and it was delicious. They were out of straws but the server gave me a spoon, great service and thinking ahead. Never had any issues reaching someone who worked there despite them being very busy. Only con is that they do not offer take out. However, I was able to be in and out in 30 minutes so it is still an option for people with short layovers or busy schedules. Will be visiting again next time I fly through!

Staff friendly enough, food ok, but its noisy, sticky tables, flies around and a mouse ran past me in the que. Its open plan with other restaurants so probably mice in them all. Not great.

The food was awful. Everything was brought cold. The porridge for the kids was stone cold. The eggs Benedict was disgusting and knocked me sick and tasted of onions again was stone cold the ham looked old and hard 🤢 the croissants were stone cold. The porridge came with half a strawberry 🤦 have had decent food from here before really feel for the servers.

Quick and decent food for a good price. Big shout out to our server Laura - great service and made our visit! Hopefully she enjoys her birthday next month 😁

Disappointing eggs with whites runny as per photo but otherwise food was all right. I say this: as when eating out, I’m paying more so disappointing when restaurants serve dishes that you can cook better yourself. Chicken wings were spicy and fries were fried. 👌

Food was incredibly disgusting - thought it was off but apparently it was just too bad. A couple near our table also complained about everything being served cold.

As with most airports, we went in expecting a mediocre meal before our flight but we were pleasantly surprised by how good our meal was. Tasty, fresh and well presented. Our server, Ant, was a really friendly guy, gave great service, and helped us with gate info too. Really pleased with our visit and would happily come back again in future. Thanks to Ant and team!

I'm not kidding y’all .. their Pulled Chicken Soft Tacos are among the best in the world! To find them at Giraffe World Kitchen in Heathrow London UK was a pure delight !! And a must try if y’all are missing that TexMex flavor !! And I must add, the host and hosted actively get you seated as quickly as tables are cleaned and open and Liezl, our server was courteous and prompt.. Definitely a good choice for a good quick meal when your traveling trough ...
