Gino's Pizza in Scarborough

I can’t fault this place at all.food is amazing,staff at the shop are lovely when ordering food,very polite and the delivery drivers are really nice,5* from me.my new favourite place for take away pizza 🍕

Ordered for delivery 6.50pm over the app....said 2 hours so waited as must be busy....phoned 2 hours later still not arrived then came with an order at 10pm not what we ordered and more money. My daughter just paid as didn't feel like she should question it and megga hungry by this stage..so ate the chips as all she liked as not what she ordered. I phoned to complain and was not even given a refund just blamed the system....not our fault always use geno not any more apporling and I never complain 😡

So I ordered a pizza i gave him over n was waiting for my change he just took it and walked off he was rude and was lying after when ui iordered saying I gave him right amount even though he counted in front of me . Scamming a regular customer pathetic

I can cope with one stray hair in my food… but not another mangled with in my food.. yeh… that’s me finished with a takeaway

The worse food I have ever eaten and should not be able to open the doors I was sick six times and had very bad runs the best thing would be for the doors to stop close

Never buy anything from the shop just end up with food prosian or something else and very unclean out the back feed bridge on the doorstep

Ordered just before closing. No sign of delivery even though the website still says its cooking. Obviously gone home early on a bank holiday. Will just go domino's next time. Tried to support a local company butt no point.

I’ve been ordering the same pizza, chilli sauce and garlic sauce for years! I always get the Heatwave. I actually crave for this pizza and must have one at least once a week ( sometimes twice). I have dined out all over the world, had many different takeaways and I can honestly say Ginos is my favourite! Always a quick delivery and very friendly service! Ginos deserves five star recognition! Thank you for your delicious food and fantastic service!

We came, we ordered, we scoffed our pizzas. We walked across, ordered our food and had very interesting conversation with the owner, whilst our food was cooked to perfection. Overall the food was delicious and I would not hesitate to order again. Fabulous, thanks and we will be back, so see you in February 2024 on our next holiday.

What more could you ask for, genuine Italian people, cooking genuine Italian food at its best. The handmade food is exceptional. The staff are exceptionally friendly. How this place hasn't received 5 star review from every customer is shocking to me. Love this place.

We have been getting pizzas from Ginos for over 2 years now & they are usually delicious & cooked to perfection but tonight’s offering was terrible. The pizza was overdone - not burnt - but dried out & the cheesy chips had that hardness round the edges & funny taste chips have when they were yesterdays & had been reheated in the microwave. Come on guys - pull your socks up!

We’ve been having takeaways from Ginos’s for ages. Pizza, wraps, cheesy chips, garlic mushrooms etc are all absolutely delicious. Delivery service spot one, staff lovely and reasonable prices. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Called in to see if you could order and pickup. Really friendly helpful guys. Ordered the next day and was ready when we arrived to collect. Honestly the best pizza we have had. Beats the major pizza drlivery place hands down. 16 inch Margherita £13 absolyte bargain

Order two kebabs…. Disappointing. Asked for one with no onions/chillis and with mayo and one with everything and chilli sauce. Explained this over and over. Guy on phone quite condescending and rude. Made sure he knew one was no chilli/onion with mayo. Yes, yes….. Arrived, two kebabs with chilli sauce, onions and chillis. Didn’t listen to a word of the order. Won’t be using them again.

Had great food from here several times and surprised to see some really poor reviews, We had 3 different parmesan dishes a d they were fabulous!! Came with chips and salad AND a free cheese garlic bread all of which were really tasty...we will definitely order again when we're back in Whitby!

Got a Donna kebab wrap and the was a hair in it I phoned the shop up and the boss told me to f off not a nice shop

In Whitby on holiday, so didn't know where was good. Stumbled across this place on a google search - easy to order, pizza was lovely, great value for money and quick delivery. Very happy.

The service level here is very poor placed order and food never arived rang to check were the order was and was told it hadn't been revived again this was a lie never receive the order in the end

Im quite suprised by some of the reviews on here. We order once every other week, and get a big order. I do think its maybe under new management. We get a mixture of everything, and have no desire to try anywhere new as Ginos...

Terrible takeaway. Longer time ( 20 minutes longer) to be delivered than they said on ordering . Kebab awful, pitta hard, and no salad ( was like a v small side salad) . Chips hard and cold , as if they had been stood for...

We have always used Gino's since it opened, but last two times delivery has been promised for 20mins, both times well over an hour with promises it is on route, five minutes away etc... Not good enough and staff don't seem to care when you...

Ordered our food on the Internet and they said would take an hour from it being ordered to it being delivered. After 2 hours we attempted to call the shop, 10 tries later they pick up and we ask where our food is- they rudely...

The staff member who took my order was constantly rubbing his nose and adjusting his genitals whilst working and handling food directly. {red t shirt} the other staff member in a green t shirt however was much better with his hygiene, fortunately he served my order. Otherwise it would have a 5 star rating for price, service and value! Please wash your hands!

We ordered take out of pizza .chicken shish kebab ..garlic bread ..chips ... it arrived late ..it was cold .the pizza was ok but not fab but it was edible ..the garlic bread was dry and well done..the shish was just weird..it was like slivers of meat in a curry flavouring ..dry wraps and overall crap

We use Ginos fairly regularly and in my experience they are excellent. It's an excellent version of what it is, which is a British style pizza/kebab shop. Lots of toppings, lots of cheese, good consistency. Overall, it's well worth a visit.

Terrible! food was burnt. Only good thing the delivery man was on time & garlic bread was ok! Won't be ordering again.

Delicious authentic Pizzas, we had the Royal which was really tasty, the reason for 4* was I had a long wait, I think they forgot about me as it was sat on the counter.

I think some reviewers expect Michelin star food from everywhere they go. I have been a few times to ginos now and have been very happy each time. Kebabs are tasty, and parmos are delicious. Generous portions and staff are smiley and friendly.

because i was not sure which chicken i wanted the gentleman gave me a piece of marinated chicken to try :) it was superb and will definately go again

Ordered a Chicken and Doner kebab to open it up and find 1 chicken drumstick and the rest was some unidentifiable fatty meat phoned to complain to be told it’s definitely chicken as that’s all they order in? Will send out a replacement though took over an hour. On a good note though young delivery driver couldn’t of been nicer lots more customer service skills than the guy on the phone!

I enjoyed this for a pizza takeaway. It wasn't greasy like Domino's and tasted absolutely fine. The only downside was that they tried to charge £10 for delivery in the same postcode area which was a rip off but my husband and I went and collected it instead.

I was staying at a local camp site and had a walk over to this Pizza place. It is situated on the parade along with some other shops. I ordered a pizza, which didn't take too long, they were quite busy with deliveries so it must be very popular. The pizza itself was very nice and not too expensive.

Most minging Pizza iv had in decades. Threw it to the sea gulls after one slice. Frozen base, undercooked, sloppy cheap and nasty topping served by amateurs. Very little for hygiene practised. Bork bork bork

Abysmal pizza shop. Tasted like a microwave pizza and not even a goodfeĺlas one!! My favourite part was when the delivery driver told me the price (£14.50) and then said and extra 2.50 on top for delivery. When I told him orders over 9 pound are free delivery he said no that's not correct. Let him go and called later. Lo and behold I was told on the phone that he should not have taken a delivery charge.

Don’t understand the mixed reviews on here: if you’ve ever eaten a takeaway pizza, you’ll find the ones from Ginos fine - better than most.

Good takeaway with good choices. The food was of good quality and piping hot. I would highly recommend the kebab chicken/doner combo. I would visit again when in Whitby.

Have ordered the 'Full vegetarian" pizza many times without any bother, wonderful variety of plentiful toppings. So why now have you decided to absolutely obliterate a lovely pizza by randomly chucking on pineapple??? The argument that pineapple does not belong on pizza is a whole other kettle of fish but why are you putting pineapple on when it doesn't state that on the menu? Please stick to your menu and stop being misleading, thank you.

used to love Ginos. dont know whats happened to it in recent months. reluctant to give them my money now. too many times things have been missing or food is luke warm

A little further out of the town centre than most of the other takeaways, this is worth the trip if you're not wanting anything more fancy. Large portions and very tasty with some decent meal deals and free delivery within town for orders over £8- recommended if you're after that sort of thing!

Hairs on garlic bread no cheese inside mozzarella sticks food was cold and when tried to complain had a disgusting attitude towards me learn some customer service skills,hygiene and how to cook absolutely disgraceful!

Excellent in every respect. Ordered a 16" 5 Cheese and pepperoni. Yummy and piping hot. Complimentary Garlic Bread scrumptious. All in all, very good all round 👍

Visited after staying in the area. Food was average, but not advised that we would get a free cheesy garlic bread after spending a certain amount of money, so ended up with two, wasting a whole pizza that ended up in the bin! The staff looked gone out at me when I said I wouldn't have ordered one if I knew you got one free.

we had a pizza and a parmo delivered to our holiday cottage and the food was very good but my husband said the toppings on his pizza seemed less generous than last time. I like the parmos from here as they have that typical take away feel about them they taste so good but you just know they are so bad for you!

Recently stayed in the area and decided to have a fast food night. Looking at the various places nearby, this was considered above average but after trying it. I was disagree.

Requested thin and crispy pizza, received deep pan. Also, was charged for and received an extra pizza that we didn't order. Everything that we ordered tasted awful, most ended up in the wheelie bin. I have never left a bad Trip Advisor review before but I'm afraid our food was bad enough to warrant it this time.

Called in last night for mixed kebab takeaway very friendly staff meal was very enjoyable food cooked in front of you not disappointed .I was so impressed I phoned today for delivery got a chicken donner mix very tasty delivery time was 45mins which is acceptable when I come to Whitby will definitely call again. Keep up the good work fellas

Having a dairy intolerance I always have a "no cheese" pizza.

Superfast delivery here, and the pizzas are beautiful. The range is so diverse with lots of other options like kebabs, burgers, parmesans and pasta. Excellent.

Rang up on way home and collected. Enjoyed fresh salad and tasty donner meat,lots of it too. Garlic and chilli sauces were tasty too.

We ordered a 14" Margarita and an 8" cheese garlic bread. Delivery was relatively quick, the food was hot and tasted fine for a cheap takeaway pizza shop. No real complaints, would happily order from here again.

Asked for delivery at 6 and arrived spot on 6! Lovely pizza and free garlic bread! So pleased not greasy at all and really well cooked! Gino's is back on it again! Thanks folks, well impressed!

We we're camping near sands end and the local pubs we're all closed so we rang Gino's and explained we we're camping and would they deliver....they were very happy to deliver and the pizza's were absolutely delicious....5 stars....and the next time we're here we will be back....thanks guys

Their five cheese pizza is delicious, couldn't fault it, not too impressed by the cheesy chips with pratically no cheese though :-( delivery time was abit long but overall not a bad takeaway.

Have to say we have had a few takeaways from here usually pick up as live a few miles away. Staying in Whitby tonight so where else to get takeaway. Came in good time, food hot. Pizza lovely as was kebab. Only thing they got a new chilli sauce and it soooo hot and yummy I need to know how they make it. Well done. Keep the good food coming.

Totally disgusted, just orderded kebab which in the past have been great, don't know what has gone wrong but now you have to make your own, what has happened to this great takeaway please fix it

A few weeks ago my son who orders from these regularly ordered a Pizza ,chips and coke to be delivered to our address! He rang 3 times after an hour and a half. Eventually it turns up cold and over done, so I contacted them to explain the situation how the coke was actually warmer than the meal !! The lovely girl assured me she would sort the matter and gave us a £5 off next time we ordered!! (Fair enough feeling good customer service)

Ordered for my kids just after 7.30pm and was told food would take around 30 to 40 minutes to deliver. I put my mobile on speaker as the conversation was laughable. The person on the other end didn't seem to have a grasp of what was on the menu at all, and I made sure it was all clarified at the end, as on numerous occasions in the past they have got the order wrong. I waited until 8.55 before I rang back to ask where food was. The kids had given up and fallen asleep on the sofa! I was told that it must be on its way, as it 'wasn't in the shop'. We waited a further 25 minutes before ringing back. I was told that it had been out of the shop 5 mins and was on its way. The person I spoke to this time was quite rude and defensive. He denied the fact that my order must have been forgotten. It's now 21.45 and we are still waiting! 21.54 and I ring back. They talk to the driver while I'm waiting after stating how unhappy I am, and I get told that the order has been lost! At this point, the kids are fast asleep without any food, and I tell Ginos to just forget it! Then I get a 'sorry about that'.

Spent nearly £20 on a delivery that on the menu added up to just under £15. We keep giving Ginos a chance but that was the last straw. The food isn't the best and they always miss things off your order. For the 3 items we got we could've got a full meal elsewhere and at a cheaper price.

Had 2 lovely pizza's delivered last night, the girl on the phone was really helpful as we didn't have a menu and I wasn't sure what to get. The food was promptly delivered to us at the campsite we were staying at just outside Whitby. Really good pizza's and excellent value.

First they got the order wrong, then tried giving me the wrong pizza again. When they finally gave me.the correct one it tasted like bleach. Now it was called the inferno but I didn't expect peroxide to be adding the kick. The kids burgers were nasty Iceland economy style and if the chicken nuggets had ever been near a hen I would be surprised. I will never go again. Appalling

1st time we had a pizza delivery from here our order was wrong and food cold !

I use to go to this Pizza shop when it first opened and never really had a good experience,staff were rude,Food wasn't great,Items missed off my order,They would just say get the missing item next time but when went the next time they would be funny about it,And I wouldn't of had to ask if they didn't miss it off originally... I hadn't been for a while and I thought I'd give them another try last night but I wish we hadn't,I ordered a large chicken parmo but it was only small,It was hard to chew round the edges + From previous experiences I thought I better check nothing is missing from my order whilst I'm there and I'm glad I did because Garlic sauce was missing, I went back in and asked and he apologised. I don't think I'll be back.

Last night of our Whitby break so decided on takeaway for tea, Ginos is a couple of minutes walk from The Metropole Towers so fab location.

No matter how busy, you always get a friendly welcome. The pizzas are very good, they do not skimp on the toppings. On this visit I had a chicken combo kebab, grilled chicken and doner meat, with a pitta bread, fresh salad and dips. The garlic dip is creamy, tasty and second to none, and the chilli sauce is very tasty with a good hot kick to it. In my opinion the best takeaway in Whitby. If you have a large order they give you a free garlic bread with cheese, and that is gorgeous. Give Gino's a visit if you are in Whitby.

We've been regulars at Ginos for years. It used to be amusing when they forgot bits of the order because we'd ring up, they'd say we could pop back to collect the missing stuff, we'd explain that we'd just driven six miles to collect the order and six miles to get home. Another 12 miles just to get the missing chips or sauce? They'd offer to replace it next time we were in. The next time they'd give us the free sauce, but forget the garlic bread, or worse, put cheese on the plain garlic bread..... So tonight, they forgot the chips. I should've checked but I was a bit concerned about the guy who kept licking his fingers to open the carrier-bags, then mauling the bread....

My husband ordered a chicken pizza and I ordered a large chicken kebab, which came with chilli and garlic included, both absolutely delicious. I couldn't eat all of my kebab, and we also received a free garlic bread. We will be going back, thanks for lovely food

Just spent £38 on food we were unable to eat, the person who took the telephone order was rude, the food was uneatable and ended up in the bin. Previous orders were either wrong or items missing. The staff show little interest and just don't care, will not be going again!

Mould on pizza bases said would collect and they never did, another time we ordered the food was cold, will not been going back again.

We always get our pizza's etc from here. The food is lovely and tasty and you always get a lot for your money. You don't have to wait long for your order. Would recommend it.

Food ok but they are unable to cope with orders its a regular thing to find things missing from your order.You then have to call up and it will be sent but by then you have either eaten your other food or its gone cold.When you call up or drive up to pick up the missing part of the order lets just say the owner could do with a course in customer relations as he is rather rude.

We have been very loyal to this takeaway (ordering on a weekly basis) whilst living in Whitby however sadly the roles are not reversed. We regularly get food delivered from the takeaway and more often than not, the order is wrong - the takeaway does not make any effort to rectify this in an appropriate fashion. Sometimes the missing items appear half an hour later (when the other food is cold!).
