Gillys sandwich bar in Blaby

Went the wrong way and ended up on the motorway and then somehow went Sainsbury’s before coming to me delivered my hot food cold 👍🏻

Sad to write this as usually i cant fauly gillys....... Paid for 2 sausage sandwiches for my two kiddos. Whilst waiting i was watching them cook the food and one of the ladies who was cooking the sandwiches was using tounges. After transfering the first batch of saugesesh she dropped the tounges on the floor and then picked em up dusted them of with her hand (yes with her hand) didn't even wash them and got the rest of the sausages for the other sandwiches put them on the bread then wrapped em up and gave them to me. I then asked for them to be remade as I saw that she had dropped the tounges and not washed them afterwards as to which i was Met with a roll of the eyes and a i didn't do that and then oh it was a different pair and then ur sandwiches were already done. Yet I'd seen her make them I watched the whole thing! Yes they offered to remake them after I put them ones in the bin but why would I want more when they hadn't even washed things that has fallen on. The floor. Absolutely disgusting to be honest.

Lovely place, great food, good prices, tasty waffles. Only seats could be more comfortable.

Always clean and tidy and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this place for anything from a cheese cob to a full English breakfast.

My friend took me there for lunch. It's such a lovely small cozy place Quality of the food was excellent, great atmosphere the service was fast. We will definitely be making this a regular. The good thing is they do a good range of vegetarian food for those who are vegetarian. Good street car parking available. Funny thing is...I've been living in this area for the past 29 years and never even knew this place existed

Lovely little cafe. Wanted something nice for breakfast and came across this place on Google. We ordered waffles, pancakes and a large breakfast. All of it was delicious, the staff are really friendly and welcoming as well. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting somewhere good to eat

Lovely roll with bacon & the burger was super, delivered quickly, can't ask for more (except jacket potatoes which are so good they go too quickly!)

Normally really enjoy ordering from gully’s, this time the bacon is really undercooked and When you’re Charging £3.50 for a cob and 80p just to put something in the cob, At least make sure it’s actual full strips of bacon.

The worst order I have ever had, no description of the large breakfast. Arrived a mess, all mixed up, no bacon, the toast was bread soft and soggy. The breakfast was not large at all, a real disappointment, I feel entitled to a refund definitely not worth the money. 1/10 👎

Usually very good but breakfast was missing the toast and we ordered a bacon and tomato cob and got bacon and sausage so disappointed.

Normally brilliant but today wasn’t nice at all we left most of it wasn’t hot upon arrival and the bacon had mostly fat hard bits on it

Never have crusty cobs few times ordering now and they never have them.

so I had a tuna melt and burger the tuna melt tasty really fishy I no its tuna but that was cheap stuff.. then the burger had loads of gristle in not very nice at all the cob then burger came in tastied old aswell wouldn't order from here again unfortunately sorry

We opted to drive a few minutes off the motorway instead of stopping at the services for lunch, and Gillys seemed an ideal place. We were really glad we did so as we had a delicious lunch, freshly prepared and good value. My one regret was not buying a slice of the delicious looking cake on the counter!

Very welcoming ladies and the cob's are filled with plenty of fillings and a good sized cob at that. Well worth anybody's money for a quick stop gap before going hungry

Popped in whilst passing, it turns out Gilly is a relation by marriage. I didn't find this out until I got home and spoke with the wife. Food was good and they offered free samples of scones.

Nice local cafe. Good community feel. Unhurried. We went for breakfast prior to going to the National Space Museum. Food well cooked and nicely presented. Good value. The manager is friendly and helpful to all customers, old and new, from small children to the elderly.

I ordered a bacon cob with the bacon well done costing £4.30, what I received was a large cob with 2 bits of bacon not even complete rashers and definitely not well done, didn't even cover the cob. I've ordered from you a few times but never hot cobs, and if this is the standard of them i won't be ordering them again. If I could post a picture I would, extremely disappointed.

Wrong food delivered. I ordered an full breakfast baguette(egg, sausage, bacon, mushroom and hash brown) and got a sausage, bacon, black pudding and hash brown baguette delivered instead with half the black pudding and hash brown missing

completely dirrerent from the last delivery. Jackets nice and full with fillings and today literally 2 fork fulls of tikka 😞.

For famished travelers, definitely swing by this bar. Belly buster is a must for anyone with a hearty appetite!

My wife and I were in the area visiting family, our Daughter had a baby, we were staying at Willow Court and this place is just around the corner, fantastic find, excellent value for a full English breakfast and tea, lovely friendly staff, an asset to the area, we will be back when we next visit!

Yet another amazing breakfast on a Saturday morning. Great value for money and the best ingredients, best sausages, bacon and eggs I’ve had on a full English. Lovely friendly staff and the owners can’t do enough to make you feel welcome. A+++++

Monday off work and set ourselves up with a large breakfast at Gilly's. Food was spot on, excellent prices and staff were welcoming and friendly. This was a first time visit for us and we will definitely be back.

I came to Gilly’s for a hangover cure and it did not disappoint. Best breakfast in Leicester! Tasty sausages, hash browns were lovely and crispy & the eggs were perfectly flipped. Super friendly staff & great atmosphere. Will be returning :)

Having heard alot about this cafe i thought i would see what it was all about. I certainly wasn't disappointed from start to finish, greeted with a warm and friendly welcome from a very happy down to earth staff. Made such a fuss of my children couldn't do enough. Food was really hot and delicious great choice on the menu something for everyone. I now visit twice a week without fail .

Always a pleasure every single time. Food is fresh, staff are friendly and the rustic decor is beautiful! Outdoor seating as well as inside seating, pay by cash or card. Quick service - I always get a cappuchino whilst i wait for my order and its always ready before i've drank it!

We didn't book and turned up and got a table straight away however we were lucky as the tables soon got filled up. We got two breakfasts and two kids meals. The food is fresh and tasty and the service and staff were great and welcoming.
