We were extremely lucky to bag an exclusive invitation to the Caff. It was luxurious, entirely dust-free and the food was excellent. The selection of flat (unrisen) breads and cheeses was particularly notable, while the Ukranian-sourced chicken was both topical and tasty. M. Levinè was a fine host, keeping us entertained with a wealth of stories and anecdotes. We believe some were even true! Overall an outstanding experience. Beg, steal or demand an invitation with manaces - an experience not to be missed.

It was an honor to be finally invited to this gem of a place. I had heard the old codger was good, but I was surprised by the quality of the offering. The choice of gins was phenomenal and the preparation exquisite. Quite frankly this man makes the best Gin and Tonic in town. I thought we could only go downhill from there but we kept on climbing!! A combination of gourmet quality produce cooked in a shabby chic environment all combined to make this a wonderful culinary experience no Muchelin chef could compete with. Coffee came with an impressive selection of chocolates and biscuits. After dinner drinks selection was outstanding and plentiful. If you get a chance, try the Torres 15 brandy. On a class of its own!!! I've been to many good and expensive restaurants in my life. This is by far the best experience do far!!!

Quite possibly the best food and service you’ll find in the area! Always generous on the measures with top shelf alcohol served. Well worth a visit but you’ll need an invite as it’s exclusive guest list only. We will return... if we’re invited...!

One of Giffnock’s finest but only open to invited guests during lockdown. Smoked salmon starter was just sensational. Steak to follow was perfectly cooked and served with veg and fried potatoes. Apple crumble for desert was to die for. Book when you can.

Have been meeting my friends in here every few months for a catch up. We like to go on a Friday as it’s ’fizz Friday’ which is half price Prosecco. We also have food but I just feel the last twice we have been it is not value for money for the meal. I had salmon with king prawn new potatoes and veg which was over £17. The prawns were tiny and shrivelled up, and it was the same the last time and there was hardly any veg on the plate. Very disappointing for the price. Couldn’t be bothered complaining as I had the last time and obviously they have not taken onboard my complaint. If I go again I will definitely not be having the salmon.

The food is lovely, but the staff truly make the Cross Stobs. Kind, attentive and thoughtful. I can't recommend highly enough.

Excellent place for a relaxed meal - great value and the opportunity to create your own main course is a bit different. Service is friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend Monteiths.
