Gia’s in Glasgow City

Visited with my sister for lunch on 29th of June around 1pm. Waitress (didn't get name, blonde) was a delight and short wait for food. I got the seafood pasta which was EXCELLENT and my sister got risoto which she said could have been creamier but still delicious. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

Went here for my husband's birthday. Quite busy when we went. Great choice of menu and the food was very, very good, and the staff welcoming and attentive. Overall, a good experience and reasonably priced. Would recommend.

The food was lovely - three of us had pasta which was great, and included one GF pasta which is good as we sometimes find it hard to find GF pizza and pasta (and they do both). The only gripe I have is we felt a bit rushed as were told that the kitchen was closing soon - we arrived at 6.30!

First visit to this restaurant. Staff really welcoming, friendly and attentive. For starters I had bruchetta and my husband mussels in white wine sauce. We both agreed our starters were lovely and very tasty. For mains, I chose Salmone Piccante (poached salmon with a lime & chilli sauce), baby potatoes. julienne carrots, broccoli and green beans. My husband had fillet steak (a really thick one) & chips, with peppercorn sauce, and a small salad on the side. My salmon dish was absolutely delicious and my husband was very pleased with his steak, which he said was really tender and tasty. Cannot fault our visit in any way, so we will be back.

If you have an allergy avoid this restaurant at all costs. They could not provide us with an allergy menu when we asked. We have gone to this restaurant many times and the food is good. However, my son has an allergy and when we arrived they could not tell us what food he could eat. We asked for an allergy menu to be told they did not have one by the waiter. The said waiter became verbally abusive to my elderly mum telling her to go home and have a cup of tea as there is no allergy in that. This was repeated several times. He shouted at us in the restaurant ridiculing us in front of other patrons. He was most rude, aggressive and ignorant. The manageress, Theresa, stood and said she was not aware of what was going on. This was untrue as she was standing watching it all. For an owner of any business to allow any member of her staff to speak to a patron like that and allow it to continue says a lot about the business. Not to mention that under the Law a food business allergy information MUST be provided. An allergy is considered a disability under the law and as such this business discriminated against someone with a disability. My mum who is the kindest, most caring, loyal, and politically correct person you will ever meet was told she would be escorted off the premises. Outrageous way to speak to and treat a very elderly lady. Subsequently we went to China House, Shettleston who accommodated us with no problem at short notice and my son was also accommodated no problem.
