Gezi Park in Redbridge

Threw my fiance's 30th Birthday dinner here on April 7th.Every aspect was exceptional. They were able to cater for all 40 guests and leave all of my friends and family amazed with the service they received.

Great food, staff were great 👍🏻

Been to Gezi Park several times as my local spot, food is always impeccable and the serving staff are always more than accomadating! I would definitely recommend the chicken mince burger 🔥

Food was fine but I'm afraid the atmosphere wasn't relaxed or friendly. The overwhelming feeling is that you are being hurried to finish and leave. The 2 male members of staff are standing around waiting to whisk your plates away - i was still chewing my food when this happened and I felt it was quite unnecessary. They didn't look or appear happy which is a shame as it is a pleasant place visually. Please just be a bit more chilled and friendly guys, the restaurant deserves it.

Very over priced and under whelming sadly. How they can charge £14.50 for a kids meal which comprises 5 small pieces of chicken and a tiny mound of rice is beyond me. my hot meze was all fried frozen stuff and far too greasy. The calamari was mushy.

Went out in a group of 20 and there were no complaints about the food. I had the Turkish pizza and lamb ribs, which went down really well with the chilli sauce provided along with some grilled onions. One little nig would be a felt like I didn’t get enough rice. But all in all solid 9’s and 10’s.

Have eaten here twice in last week. Lovely place warm welcome, good range of authentic, fresh and delicious Turkish food. Good service and helpful polite staff. Highly recommended!

I was at Gezi park with my friends and family yesterday for a celebration. I must say the service, atmosphere, food everything was wonderful. Eyup looked after us and he was so polite, attentive and efficent. A big special thanks to him. I had lamb chops and we ordered various different dishes - all were delicious. The prices were very good for what we got. We will definitely be back - thank you Gezi Park.

Afternoon meal with friends turned out to be very disappointed!! The service was none existence, had to ask for sauces and salad. food portions seemed very small. The restaurant was very quiet and still felt like the staff wanted us to depart very quickly!! One of the worst Turkish restaurant that I have ever been to!! Would not recommend. For Real Turkish food Green lanes in North London is the best!

What a beautiful team of people! I had the difficult task of arranging a gathering of 30+ people having just laid my sister to rest but the warmth and hospitable nature of Eddie and his team were second-to-none. The chef provided full courses with Sharing Platters as the main that met the differing tastes and preferences of our large party. The dishes were served and presented beautifully. The fresh ingredients shone through the Tabule, Cacik, Hummus and Olives. The Aubergine Napolitana tasted deliciously of rich tomatoes and herbs; the Fish Platters were flavourful and cooked to perfection; the Regular Platters which had Kofte, Shish, Ribs and Chops were mouthwatering and well worth it. Eddie and his team went above-and-beyond, to provide us with such an impeccable service and great quality, authentic tasting food to a great many people at what was a difficult time. Needless to say we will visit here time-and-again. Geze Park Restaurant is a place of true Turkish hospitality - superb!

I have had takeaway food on a number of occasions recently from Gezi Park. I have had a wide selection of the food including various starters, some vegetarian options, the chicken casserole, lamb moussaka and sea bass. The food has been consistently delicious and I will definitely order more food from Gezi Park in the near future!

Came here for an early lunch and were the only customers. We're vegetarian so requested the sausage dish on the hot mezze menu be changed to garlic mushrooms. The waitress got the manager who said they couldn't do it, and it had to be substituted for a second dish from the hot mezze. When I asked him why he didn't give a straight answer. I said if he wasn't going to be helpful and take out requested order, we'd go elsewhere. He shrugged his shoulders and walked off. Can't comment on the food, but rarely have I encountered such an unhelpful manager. If you want a helpful place with good customer service and that values it's customers, then this is not the place for you....

I had an incredible dining experience at Gezi Park! The food was absolutely delicious, with each dish bursting with amazing flavours and spices that I've never tasted before. The service was also top-notch, with the staff being attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about all the menu items. From the appetizers to the main course and dessert, everything was cooked to perfection and exceeded my expectations. The ambiance of the restaurant was also fantastic, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic Turkish dining experience. I can't wait to come back!

Not bad. But not great either. The starter (hot Turkish meze) was just food items (not too dissimilar from a supermarket party kit) fried in deep fat, it came with sauces but on the whole was dry, lacking taste and very stodgy. The main dish I ordered (lamb ribs) was again dry, quite salty and lacking any flavour. The rice generally greasy. The best thing about the whole meal was the fresh salad prepared. The cocktails were good. Overall it filled a hole. But its low value & quality, and overpriced in comparison to other places of this type: £25 for a Shish kebab with rice seemed a bit steep.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The restaurant's warm ambiance, attentive service, and incredible Turkish cuisine truly impressed me. Every dish was bursting with authentic flavours, showcasing the richness and diversity of Turkish culinary traditions. I highly recommend as the prices were also reasonable .

The food was good and the place clean but I give them 3 start because it says in the menu that the food is served with rice AND salad, it doesnt say OR, and it came only with rice. And we order chips and they never came although they were in the bill. Of course they took them off as soon as I told them.

I went here with my son for a catch up and food. Very enjoyable evening. Food, atmosphere and staff were all good.

Very unprofessional, small portions, over charged price service very bad, manager rude behaviour arrogant and even no tea service after food also we paid service charges for nothing very very dissatisfied staff serving without any uniform we visited so many Turkish restaurants never had such a bad experience never going this restaurant again and never recommend to anyone

Live in or around wanstead, want a Turkish takeaway. This is my choice. With Turkish you want as much flavour as you can for the money you spend and Gezi is a reliable choice. Other places try to do fancy bits here and there but what Gezi doesn’t bother with the flashy stuff it gets the core of good Turkish food right. Getting food from here is like visiting turkey. I felt like I was dining at a local place in Ölüdeniz or Fethiye. My personal favourite is their mixed shish. A great combo of meats and the rice is just *chef kiss* You get plenty of bread and hummus and other dips which will make the meal complete. Turkish is always a more expensive takeaway to choose but at Gezi you get good potions and quality that comfortably softens the blow to your wallet or purse.

The food was excellent especially the lamp chops, cooked to perfection!! The service was on point as well. Thank you for providing my husband and I a lovely evening!!

Extreamly bad exprience, food was very bad no taste, over priced, even a cup of tea they do not offer it while all turkish restaurants which we already been to offer some starters and turkish tea while this place you feel that they are calculating by pence, very small portions ,meat is hard with no flavour. Really deaspointed. The only positive thing the waitress was nice. I will never come back here and is waste of money

I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. It has an unassuming shopfront and is on the quieter part of the high street. I sat outside with my baby and the lady serving me offered such brilliant service. The food was really tasty and my baby couldn’t get enough of the fresh bread. We would definitely go back.

My family and I have been coming to this restaurant for about 5 years and each time everything gets better and better. The food is absolutely delicious, authentic and great portions with fabulous presentation. The service is always so attentive and friendly. This is the best restaurant in East London maybe even London by miles. Great place for families, date night, parties etc 10/10!!!! Keep up the great work team! :D

Always been great food and have been here many times however very disappointed with what I received last time I ordered. Had a mixed kebab delivered and it was nearly £30 for four chunks of chicken four chunks of lamb and an Adana kofte with a bit of rice. Annoying as it is good but not for that kind of money compared to other local Turkish restaurants. Time for a switch up for me

Late review. I visited Gezi Park last year with a friend and was happy to be let in as despite it being quite early, other Turkish restaurant on this strip was not accepting us for reasons unknown. The food was great! Meat was seasoned well and filled both of us up! Quick service on the night. Cocktails weren’t great however when we mentioned this to the waitress, the manager remade our drinks. On top of this, he treated us to free Turkish delights. I like the fact that they listened and compensated as some restaurants just don’t care but they clearly know how to keep custom.

I was so embarrassed about deciding to catch up with friends here, that I decided to pay for the whole meal and never mention it again. Tough meat, rushed to order everything as soon as we sat down, undercooked pastry and fillings in hot mezze was cold. Just sloppy. This is why a service charge shouldn't be automatically added to a bill.

Quality Turkish food; lunch deal is great value for money. Warm decor with pleasant ambience (low-level classical music). What really made our day was the friendly, professional service (the waiter was excellent). Would definitely go back!

Always nice to return to. A small restaurant on Wanstead High Street. A place me and my partner go to. Food is nice, reasonably priced but tasty. Nice staff and not very busy. Toilets are downstairs, so if you can't do steps just be aware, facilities are clean.

Absolutely a wonderful experience Mr hassan the manager makes us feel very special each time we visit with family lovely ambience this is not just food it's an amazing experience definitely recommend it .

This is by far the best Turkish place in Essex and London. The staff make you feel welcomed. I just had dinner and for first time in a while i couldn't wait to post this feedback because they really appreciate the customers. If they see a customer coming in. They will open door for them and do the same when they leave. They cook nice food and keep checking on customers. I will definitely recommend it and cant wait for my next visit. I didn't have cash to tip and felt bad that they have done lot for us so went out to withdraw from the machine because they really deserve it. Keep up the good work Gezi staff.

Always thought this place looked good from outside unfortunately the weather wasnt good enough to sit outside but decided to give it a go. The staff weren't very receptive or helpful quite curt might have been a language issue . The starter was ok but a bit soggy salad a bit tired. The bread was good.My main Sword fish was tasty and well cooked not over done as so often happens ashame the chips were obviously from a frozen packet my partners chicken shish good but quite small.

Turned up without reservation on a Friday for lunch on my own. Given a place outside, courteous service. Massive portions, delicious food, enjoyed it thoroughly. Food well seasoned and tasty, had prawns on charcoal. Good range of food. Reasonably priced. Will return!

This was my first visit to this Turkish restaurant and I must say the food was really nice. We had a starter to share, I had a smal lamb shish my partner had a medium chicken shish. The service was very good even though they apologized for how long it took because a waitor had quit. I didn't think the service was at all bad. I will be going again.

First time being in the Gezi Park restaurant. I was so impressed by the decoration, really nice. My chicken shish was delicious and the rice but my taboulleh salad was really dry, I felt that it was not fresh. The bread was nice but a little bit oily. The staff was friendly but I would like to be asked less times ' if everything was ok' as it can be a little bit 'boring' I would say. But otherwise everything else was fine. Will visit again.

This is the best Turkish restaurant this side of Stratford. A firm favourite - a few missed orders in the past, so be precise when confirming dishes.

Lamb Iskender is my favourite dish. So tender, juicy and flavoured well. Loved it. They serve free hummus with bread at start, dishes are quite big for its price. Good quality of kebab in wanstead at reasonable price!

This is fantastic! The meat was very well cooked and tasted delicious. The salad was fresh and tasty. The chilli sauce and garlic sauce are fantastic. I really recommend the Turkish white wines they serve also. The outdoor seating area is wonderful in warm weather. Highly recommended!

The best lamb shish kebab I have ever tasted.

Food was ok but it's expensive for what it is, especially kids meals which are £10 for a main only and no drink. Other places would do one for £7 for 2 or 3 courses and usually a drink. Charged £2.75 for a kids size cranberry juice, not the £1 you would expect. Won't rush back.

I had veg mousaka very very nice

This is a local for me, and everytime I go I get smiles from me and from the staff. They are struggling, like all restaurants just now, but just being there cheers me up. The menu is very varied, not all spicy, but cooked to order, and very, very tasty.

Tasty authentic food, good portions and pricing is good value for money. Would recommend the Serma Lamb Beyti, it's absolutely Devine.

Absolute disgrace no social distancing on the night before the 2nd lockdown they sat people 50cm apart and even used tables with red crosses on! When I challenged this they said it didn’t matter it was the last night!!!! Very irresponsible.The food is bland and overpriced the service is negligent. I would strongly recommend you avoid this overpriced excuse for a restaurant.

I thought £51 was a bit steep for 2 drinks 2 kebabs and a bowl of ice cream (mabee do some kind of weekly meal deal during these tough economic times)

Place looked tatty, furnished with old, worn-out chairs and the bar still displays the old name of the former restaurant. Staff, whilst friendly, were totally lacking any real customer care. Food ok but salad, a few pieces of cucumber and tomatoes, padded out with lots of bitter tasting lettuce. Not really value for money and no instance for anyone to engage with track n trace, which is a worry.

I have previously ordered from here and it was just ok, but noticed the babaganoush was mostly yoghurt (cheap) and v little aubergine (more expensive ingredient). We decided to give it one more try and ordered a shish kebab with rice, some falafel, some tabule and bread and it came to £30, which seems excessive. On impulse we bought baklava when collecting the take away too - £3 for 3 tiny pieces (the foil tray is an extra small one). Feels like a waste of money and won’t be coming back.

It really nice restaurant. The service was nice and food was even better. It's local so that's a plus. It was recommended by a friend of mine and I glad I decided to try it out. Seemed to have a lot of family there so it's kids friendly.

Seem completely unaware that there's a pandemic. No track and trace data taken, staff not wearing masks, tables not cleaned when customers leave. Food's ok.

If you have any anxiety to covid 19, this is not the restaurant for you as this restaurant is not complying to government rules.Non of the waiting staff are wearing face masks. Most customers are coming into the restaurant with no face masks on, whilst being taken to their tables. Whilst we where sat at our pre booked table, another 2 people came in to eat without a booking. No contact details where taken from them. I was very surprised the waitress allowed them to chose the table to sit at. They chose a table next to us, which they had to squeeze past behind us, whist not wearing a face covering. This table did not allow the right amount of distance from our table, which caused me and my husband to have to move up along our table, whilst we were eating. We also noticed seated areas where not sanitised after use.I spoke to a member of staff regards these situations, which they knew they were breaking the rules but felt they could not work with following the rules. My husband and I , paid for the food we ate, then left the restaurant as we did not feel safe. Shame the starter we had we enjoyed. Would I go back again, no. The food maybe lovely but the restaurant has no ambience or style that add to diners enjoyment.

Picked up a take away, staff were friendly and let us sit inside to wait for it. I had a lovely vegetarian kebab, the vegetables were nice and chunky and the sauce was gorgeous!, The birthday boy had a chicken and lamb Shish kebab and wasn’t disappointed. Both meals came with salad, rice and bread. Perfect meal.

This is a review of their takeaway. The food is very good. But the bill was more than expected and its now very expensive. The lady told me the prices on the menu you see online are very out of date. There was no apology, and they were pretty dismissive - apparently the website has been out of date for years! I left feeling ripped off. A shame because like I say the food is good but there are lots of good Turkish restaurants and I wont be going back to Gezi Park.

I’ve been to Gezi Park numerous times and I really like the food. So I took my friend there this week to have the cold meze after a long walk. We sat outside due to the social distancing and ordered our food. The service so far seemed ok and nothing to complain about. As we began eating the various dishes I noticed that the hummus tasted funny and I asked my friend what she thought. She said it tasted ‘fizzy’ which meant it was ‘old’ and I agreed. We didn’t eat any more of it and called the waiter over and told him. He said ‘ok’ and disappeared inside to the restaurant- we thought to get fresh hummus. He didn’t return. So then I called the waitress over and told her the same thing. She said ‘ok I tell’ and she disappeared off inside. She didn’t come back either. We soon finished the rest of the food and asked for the bill assuming that the complaint re the hummus would be reflected in the total of the bill. She brought the bill and said nothing about the hummus and there was no reduction in the cost. She went to get the card machine and when she returned I asked her to take off the service charge because we couldn’t eat the hummus. She said ‘service charge is automatic’ so I said ‘as we couldn’t eat the hummus and you didn’t replace Or apologise for it we won’t be paying for it’She was very hostile and grabbed my friends card from her Hand and muttered something while shoving it into the machine. We were really taken aback. My friend asked for the receipt and the waitress literally threw it in front of her on the table! As we got up to leave the waitress whipped the remaining dishes off the table and gave us the dirtiest looks almost throwing us out. My friend has the receipt but to be honest we didn’t even check if she took off a couple of Quid (service charge £2.30) as we were so relieved just to leave at that point. I emailed the restaurant later explaining how surprised we were at this hostile treatment and asking for a manager to contact me but had no reply whatsoever. I’d like to think that if a manager knew that one of his staff treated customers in such a manner they would be reprimanded as it shouldn’t bring the reputation of the whole business into disrepute However I have no evidence that anyone bothered to pick up on the issues. So with that in mind - much as I like the food - I won’t be returning

Good vegetarian and vegan options. Good service at an afordable price. Clean place and polite staff. Very good experience! It's a shame they are not on the "Eat out to help out" scheme!

Went with friends last Tuesday, the lahmahchun was not tasty really sparse of the mincemeat, disappointed and then the falafel was in the shape of small discs very overcooked that it was all crunchy. Service was disappointing as my friend was waiting for her food and finally after a while had to ask where her order was, whilst we had already received and began eating ours, waitress was not really paying attention to us, she should have asked would we like all our food now or in stages not assumed. Been before to this restaurant wasn't impressed then and even less this this time. Dips were really small amounts and had to ask for more. Their servings are not generous as is the tradition of Turkish food.

We ordered a takeaway a few days ago. The food was delivered on time, well wrapped and very hot. Everything tasted great and was cooked perfectly. Looking forward to ordering again.

Terrible for anyone with allergies, staff need more training, its very dangerous in this day and age for the server not to understand. Very disappointing. Even when being extremely specific about gluten and dairy (due to coeliac disease) food still came out on bread with rice and cracked wheat. They exchanged it for salad and meat but had just taken the meat off the bread from the first dish which is also unexceptable for someone with coeliac disease. Third plate seemed ok, I found it so hard to enjoy any food after that, worrying that im going to get a really server reaction, when they have got it so wrong even after explaining as clearly as possible. You lose trust in what they bring out. Also fyi i know a set menu is set for reasons but obviously i could have any of the desserts and simply asked for a black coffee(surely cheaper than any dessert) and it was a flat no. Considering they almost poisoned me you would have thought it would be the least they could do, but no that is the level of service at Gezi Park.

Enjoyed a lovely meal, excellent value and very good quality. well presented, nice service and a lively buzz around the restaurant
