Ordered online from the menu. Come here at pick up time and they say one of the items is discontinued. Made me wait extra 10 minutes to make me the same as the first item. Clearly communication is a big issue here along with updating the menu. Cherry on top little kids on the counter taking orders have no manners. Won't be coming here anymore.

Really disappointed. The fries, roll, hash browns were packed with 2 of the drinks and the 3rd drink directly with the OG kebab’s the fries was like eating frozen fries with cold sandwiches. No one bothered reading the note left with a request.

Non of the food boxes were ticked and one was supposed to be vegan. Food was freezing cold. Said no sauce and cane with sauce all over. Food wasn't even nice after all of that. Very disappointed.

German Here. 'Authentic' German Style Döner Kebab, nice taste, can recommend, but here are some small issues that made it a 4 instead of 5 star: -No choice of sauce, they just put all on. I liked it, but it was still odd and that will basically NEVER happen in Germany -the grill was on for too long, which means unless they are very busy, everybody gets meat dryer than it could be -no choices with the toppings/salads. In Germany you pick and choose your toppings, here they just put everything on, and a lot of red cabbage for some reason,nehich is only put on in a limited amount -the Döner was very empty. Normally, you should barely able to close the döner and you are stuffed after one, but here it was pretty empty and felt more like a big snack than a proper meal -a good Dönermann treats everybody like a close friend, here staff treats you like a faceless client (haha) -last: calls themselves "German Döner Kebab" but misspells Döner (needs the dots above the o) Some people were complaining about the bread, but the bread is perfectly fine. It's the brebacked thinner style, but it was crispy without being brittle. All in all, can recommend. You get a decent German style Döner, but not a German Döner Shop experience tho

Price high and food the give you is less very disappoint I paid 8 pounds for box fries and Donner hardly any Donner in the box some few pieces. Dnt eat here

Ordered an OG donner kebab mix with chicken and beef. Had the kebab and and hour later got the shits and stomach cramps that lasted days, possible food poisoning, really disappointing as food tasted good but what’s the point if it gives u food poisoning 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Called it English doner kebab not German just cuz you have the good products out of Germany doesn't mean you deliver the German standard its kept on English levels from food preparation to hygiene is very poor staff seemed to be working under the pressure of fear no smile no thank you no nothing it was Mt last time ever ate as a customer I should have to clean my own table but I know especially here in Birmingham City u won't fix up apparently it seems to much work for the staff to do either that or understaffed but this should be an excuse on your poor food preparation and hygiene lvl I attached a photo of your dirty window as u can see some obvious it's a bit harder to see on picture but germs are there and me gone bye bye 4ever

I'll start by saying that we travel often and frequently eat things like döner or shawarma, as it's a quick and easy meal, often halal. However, the experience I had yesterday at this establishment was one of the worst I've encountered. The bread was tasteless, the chicken smelled like raw meat and was excessively greasy, the onions were raw with no marinade, and there was no sauce – something I’ve never seen before. When we commented, the staff did nothing except pour some strange pink water over the food. The taste was awful, the place was dirty, and overall, it left a terrible impression. Neither my husband, my mother, nor I were satisfied. Despite not having eaten all day, we would have preferred to stay hungry than ever eat that again.

I can only eat the plant based kebab from here due to dietary issues. It should come with no dairy on it. I've ordered it twice and both times it has came with dairy on it. The first time I didn't notice and I was violently ill not long after. When you order at the self service machines it says speak to people at the till if you suffer with allergies etc. The people at the till can barely speak English and don't understand common courtesy IE hello, please or thank you. If you have any request that deviates from the normal menu it's like you're talking another language. Staff need retaining desperately. If you advertise a product not containing dairy (other than cross contamination) it's incredibly dangerous to add dairy to it! Don't get me wrong the food tastes great, when it's done right. But the service and the price of the food is shocking.

At the till the guy was very impolite and seemed like he was mocking me charged me extra for glass bottle added it as spicy souse and cost me 2.07 £ more because of glass bottle absolute joke. I've ordered from here many times before but tonight the food was cold, was given the wrong style of fries and the spring rolls were not fried properly. However it's OK since this this was a first time bad experience 🤷‍♂️

To all Germans: save yourself a visit here. Sorry, but something is going wrong here: 1. The price: £8.50! In Germany, 6 euros is a lot of money for a kebab. 2. You are not asked for sauces, instead they take all of them 3. The bread is too thin and not crispy 4. The kebab is generally too small 5. The salad is too little and unbalanced, far too many onions and red cabbage. Here too you are not asked! 6. The atmosphere is ok, there is a bit of a pungent smell of cleaning products I think it's a shame that this is passed off as German Kebab and the English believe that.

The food was great. Absolutely bang on. The kebab was wafer thin, not greasy, chips was a little small even though I did pay for a large, but the free sprinkles had made that up, when the food arrived it was warm. please keep the quality up and I hope to order again in the future.

Very different kind of kebab for me. I’ve never had yogurt, chili sauce and garlic on my kebab before it’s really really different. Very very nice. Staff were very interactive, very helpful and even recommended different choices. They do a box that has kebab Springwells in it very different again. Definitely would like to try this place again. Wish they had one in Dublin Ireland. All the staff were so friendly and so helpful places very very clean

My second GDK experience, 1st at this branch. I found the food tasty and much better than a normal kebab shop. The OG is super tasty and I love the bread, it is the most like a doner from Berlin I've had in the UK. The doner spring rolls were delicious and crispy and I could have eaten a lot more of them. The staff were pretty friendly, but could have been more efficient, we stood waiting at the counter for quite a while, without being acknowledged. That said, I'd definitely return. We had boss box meals at £14 per person, including fries, side and drink, this was reasonably good value.

I had the veg kebab, it was ok, also the prices are at the high end for this type of food.

OG Kebab was good. Two Spring Rolls, nice. The Curry Chips were tasty but there was probably 12 fries sent alongside the meal, send a normal amount next time.

Came in good time but loads missing. All drinks and most sides plus extras not there. Can't ring them, auto message says go through just eat app to deal with - can only report full meal missing and not part... Requested refund on the meals and they as arguing that. Thanks for such a terrible experience.

Tried kebab for the first time in Germany and I liked it a lot, so I wanted to try GDK in Birmingham and it was very good. The portions are on the larger size, so maybe you can share if you are not that hungry.

The roll was free item with the order but was inedible. Only 2 sauce with 2 OG’s.

10/10 meal. Came in from a long drive from Newcastle. Tired exhausted and hungry. Came into the Bull Street (Birmingham) restaurant and was met by Tayyib. Absolutely stellar service, friendly, professional, and welcoming. Gave me the PERFECT recommendation and made sure that my meal was up to scratch once I had it in front of me. If I could rate the service a 6 star I would. A genuinely 5 star experience end-to-end. Big thanks to Tayyib and the team for that meal.

I ordered a quesadillas face to face and didn't realise until I have gotten home that it was just meat.... I even asked for jalapenos. Not even toasted. I've made a complaint on the website with photos. If anyone order's there CHECK YOUR FOOD BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE STORE THEY ARE CRAP as you can see in the photo, I had to add chilli and mayonnaise as it was non toasted tortilla and meat. Nothing else

Ordered food and paid £4 on a potion of large fries to receive it in what they used to give the regular fries in but pay the large fries price. Make it make sense. Oh and the chip scoop wasn’t even full lol. Don’t recommend.

I ordered jalopenos and large cheesey chips. there was no jalapeños and the chips were smaller than I've ever had also our free gift of spring rolls wasn't there either. very disappointed.
