only the guy who is a waitress was wearing a beard net however the guys in the kitchen ALL with beards aren’t wearing beard nets! which isn’t great for hairs falling in food!

It's got the simulator feel like a fast food franchise. The food is fanomanal a great twist on the Donna Kebab food. The sevice can be a bit slow due to staff levels not being enough. The atmosphere is noisy because of the loud music so people end up yelling over the top of it. There is plenty of setting here to enjoy your food at. All in all worth a try of there set menu.

After 26 hours of travel from America, me and my friends had the best meal! Very satisfied! Highly recommend!

The staff was friendly and the food was excellent although the store was busy but they're working as a time thanks.

There was a very long wait while the limited staff made all the just eat and takeaway orders before everyone that were actually stood in the shop waiting. The food was cold when we got it because it was sat on a stand for 10min before they rapped it up.

What a gem on Linthorpe Road! German Denner Kebab served up some of the tastiest kebabs I’ve had—juicy, well-seasoned, and packed with flavor. The portions were huge, and everything tasted super fresh. The staff were lovely, especially a girl name NAV who made us feel welcome and even checked in to make sure we enjoyed our meal. The service was quick, the place was clean, and the prices were fair for the quality. If you’re in the area, don’t miss this place! 10/10 for food and hospitality. Can’t wait to come back!

Absolutely shocking service. Especially the manager he’s not professional at ALL . Accusing people of stealing hash browns 😂 man also followed me out of the store after checking cctv that I picked the hash browns up. When in fact they were donuts and came to check my tray whilst eating but guess what, he missed my hash browns off. Wouldn’t recommend at all. Save your pennies or eat elsewhere. Food tastes bland anyway.

The service was great and prompt, clean restaurant

I had one of the most unprofessional experience at this place. Two staff members started shouting at each other behind the counter . It was incredibly uncomfortable and completely inappropriate for a business setting. If this is how they treat each other in front of customers I can only imagine what goes on behind the scenes. I won't be coming back.

Went to them last Tuesday and had a BOGOF email from GDK, staff was really friendly and polite and I must mention particularly Ms. Lauren as she dealt with us. Have said that ,not impressed with the staff in the kitchen, who needs to be more attentive to their work or need more training perhaps as the person who made one of our Lahmachun wraps rolled it the wrong way. We ended up having all salad on one side and the meat on the other side. Had to open all the wrap and mix the fillings and rewrap it again at home which ruined and messed it all up. Had a bit less MEAT also comparing to other GDK branches experience, maybe because it was BOGOF. Honestly they are keeping up with their food quality.

Food is absolutely to die for and their garlic sauce is fantastic. The customer service was amazing too and couldn’t have asked for better, I had a really nice time. I've been to Germany many times and I love to have a doner whilst I'm there. Whilst shopping in Middlesbrough, we spotted the German doner chain and called in. I had a beef doner and my husband had beef doner meat and chips. The food seemed quite expensive, but it was really nice to eat so it was okay. We went back the following week and ordered the same meals. This time the doner meat was greasy and slimy. It was as if the meat had been shaved off and then bathed in a pool of oil. I've never had a kebab like that before. I should have taken it back and asked for another, but I'm not sure if this is their normal version and my first kebab was just a lucky dry one. So all on all, it's expensive and the food is inconsistent. I'm not expecting cordon bleu but this is a chain, so I'd expect the meals to be the same each time.

I originally ordered on JustEat but was handed the wrong order by the delivery driver. I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager Guri who invited me to come to the store with proof of the mistake. I met Rajesh and together they were able to serve me my originally order without any issues. Both very helpful and courteous.

The place and the food is good but it would be better if they offered tubs of their sauces in bigger tub sizes and not just those little tubs they do and food would taste better if they could put the sauce on top of the food you order as they currently don’t

The food in GDK is absolutely fantastic! I came with family, ordered Wrap bossbox, rice bowl, hashbrown bites and berliner bites it was so good. Highly recommend, I strongly suggest come with your family and enjoy. Also staff the way of welcoming and handling the customers so nice, kudos to staff. Thank you.

It’s clean and tasty but the person who takes our order should trained how to take orders we wanted to use our vouchers and waited almost half an hour and left because it didn’t work

Ordered a Chicken kebab and chips was eating it and absolutely chocked to have to pull out my throat a piece of large plastic mixed in the chicken. nothing done by uber eats I will be taking this to trading standards. absolutely not on how could the person cutting the meat not notice a large object inside the food. The plastic was the size from my finger tip to my palm absolutely disgraceful. I will never eat from this food place ever again.

I dine in on Monday the 10th of February, actually, I always buy from this restaurant, in Middlesbrough, it's amazing. Whether it's takeaway or eating, . You are great and your food is tasty and fresh. I mate the manager Meri, Lyn and Karina, Andrew, I might not have wrote the names correctly. Please continue to be good . Food was absolutely stone cold, called the restaurant multiple times with no answer so I drove the food back to the restaurant to be met by a arrogant stubborn manager who refused to replace the order Even the girl who worked there was shocked at him! Embarrassing for a franchise so big!!

Amazing food for a reasonable price

Wasn’t near as nice as meals I’ve had from other branches in the uk! Staff member behind counter was lacking any signs of being suited to retail, my meal was done and wrapped and ready to go, nobody else in, took around 5 minutes before I had to ask for what was sitting there. Won’t be back but will enjoy visiting other GDK outlets in future

Took 12 minutes for my food to be served. When it was, it wasn't hot. Place was empty. No excuse really. Won't be back.

Avoid! The worst GDK I've ever had! Absolutely disgusting. Freezing cold, and waited 20 mins in the shop to get it! Wow. Inedible £7.99 straight in the bin ***update: Took the food back to ask for it to be exchanged, immediately given attitude from the rude young girl on the counter, then all staff disappeared for 5 mins, when she eventually came back she refused to exchange it and went off to get someone else. The next person also flat refused to exchange the food and said he would "re-heat it" . At this point I asked for a full refund instead and ended up in a full blown argument over an £8 kebab! Please bear in mind my hourly rate is £36 per hour so by now it had cost me a further £36 loss and still no exchange or refund. It is a matter of principle, I had no interest by now in the food. End result........you will not get a refund or replacement........so just don't even bother going to GDK.

Went in at 10:54, doors open, 11pm closing time advertised online but we were met with “sorry we are closed” absolutely disgusted and left angry, we will definitely be escalating this complaint, but we won’t be back, staff need to deliver on the opening time rather than pissing customers off so they can go home a bit earlier.

Update: Even more disappointed with GDK customer service. They offered a voucher to 'help make it right for me,' but they never delivered on it. I had an unpleasant experience at the till after ordering the Doner Box, which, according to the menu, includes three dips. However, it only came with one dip. When I asked about the missing dips, I was told that the box only comes with one and that the ordering machine’s information needs updating. Unfortunately, I had to pay for two additional sauces that were supposed to be included. Disappointing and misleading.

Absolutely untrained, not a professional lady at the front. Took her 7 minutes to place the order. Couldn't even split the payment into cash and card. Had to ask the other staff back and forth. No name tag no nothing, absolutely ridiculous Food looked like doner was sliced ages ago. On my ticket it says user: Karina. You guys need to sort this out.

I would give ZERO stars. The service here is absolutely disgraceful. Giving a VEGAN, YOGURT. Not labelling VEGAN food. Putting ICE COLD DRINKS with HOT FOOD. Refusing to rectify the situation on two occasions. Just a complete joke and surprised you’re still even open. Horrified and will NEVER return. Clearly don’t care about the food quality or the customers. Disgusting. Shameful.

Food is great however need more staff! Wait over 25 minutes at lunch to just put an order in. store wasn’t even that busy. Only had 1 person taking orders and same person organising and giving the orders back to customers. Really unfair for him and not a pleasant experience when have limited time for lunch

Very nice, restaurant immaculate service quick, I forgot to take photos as I was on a work break and was conscious of time. However, presentation of food..served in a lovely box generous portion of meat and salad fresh and very, very tasty I will eat here again.

Always a good Kebab give it a go

I spoke to a young lady at the counter who was very polite at the initial conversation. After a bit of deliberation I decided to get a mixed doner box lunch time special and paid £2.49 for extra meat. I’ve tried the chicken doner box before in Preston and Manchester so my expectation was set. I didn’t try the beef doner so decided to go for a mixed doner box. When I received the food there was hardly any chicken doner in the box, what was there was black burnt bits of chicken (see picture for example) and the chicken that was there was very little and almost was shredded. Also the chips were also half fresh and half not so fresh. The fries on top had the flames spice on and the ones under were clearly not cooked at the same time and were colder and had no spice whatsoever. It was as if the lady making the food in the back couldn’t be bothered and just mixed up what she could. When I spoke to the counter staff lady at the front she said the chicken doner was on top, and spoke to the lady in the back who said everything was right. Which it clearly wasn’t. And when I explained it wasn’t much chicken doner there and I expressed my dissatisfaction, the lady did nothing about it and just walked away from me. This was not only rude but left me very dissatisfied. At least you can do if you claim to give the best Doner is make sure there’s enough in a portion, and that it’s not burnt crunchy bits that almost break your teeth. Don’t think I will recommend this place or come back again after a bad experience.
