Consistent good time after time. The employees are always friendly and recognise the locals, and food is always good and very generous portions. Often in fish and chip shops there is little difference in size between a medium and large cod but not here! The large is properly large. Ive never had a long wait and I’ve never had a bad meal here.

Previously had lovely food from here, however this time the chips seemed old and over done. The burger was of school dinner standard and the woman server had a massive attitude problem and could do with a lesson in customer service. Won't be returning here. Do better!

I have been to Georges numerous times, I go every time I am in Norfolk, in fact this time I drove 25 minutes there and back, I like it that much, Yet again I was not disappointed with Georges, the staff there are amazingly friendly and nice, double wrapping my dinner when they heard how far I had to drive before eating. The food is fantastic, the chips are lovely and fluffy on the inside and crispy outside, the fish is delicious, light batter and flaky cod. The portion sizes are big and oyu will not be hungry after eating it. I will go back again when next in Norfolk.

I am new too Weeting. Myself and wife are just about to move in. We thought we would try local chip shop out on Saturday. What a great idea that was. They were truly splendid. We had Cod Haddock and chips. Fish was cooked to order and was really nice. Really enjoyed are Saturday night treat but now as we are moving are local is to far away but now I’ve found George’s fish bar. So I now have great chip shop only a 5 minute walk from new house. Can’t recommend George’s enough. Well worth a visit.

Been there for fish and chips three times now over 4 weeks. Cannot fault them. The fish is fresh and the batter just right and not over battered. Chips are as i remember them when a boy. The new guy/Partner is so accommodating and friendly. You may have to wait as the now cook in small batches making sure it is freshly cooked but didn't mind the wait as he gave us a bag of chips to eat while waiting. Personally find the portions a bit on the large size so 2 cod and 1 chips is sufficient for my daughter and I. My choice of fathers day supper treat from my daughter today.

We just ordered two medium cod and chips, with 2 pineapple fritters. Came to eating the pineapple fritters and they were disgusting, tasted nothing like pineapple and more like wine. They also smelt of beer. Maybe off? The fish and chips was lovely and can’t complain.

One of the biggest highlights when we visit Norfolk is going to Georges, the batter just melts in your mouth and the fish is delicious, the chips are cooked to perfection and very moreish. The sizes of the portions are big so make sure you get the correct size. The staff at Georges are so friendly and it is always nice to chat to them whilst your meal is being cooked, they make you feel welcome. We like it so much that on our weekend trip we went back both days! And we will be back again when next in Norfolk.

Phoned a lunch order at 1,40 pm and they could not be asked to cook more chips and said they only had a pie and sausage left as they could not be asked to cook my lunch as they still had 20 mins of service left it's a joke so went to the one in Brandon who was so much nicer any way

We come here every time we are in the area. The fish is always fresh and the chips are amazingly good. The batter on the fish is light and not at all heavy so it makes the fish flavoursome and extremely delicious. The guys at Georges will always cook your meal fresh if you ask them too so that makes a load of difference as the batter is not hardened and the fish not dried out by being kept in the warmer. We like it so much that we went three days out of four!

Whenever we are in the area, we always go to Georges, because their fish and chips are simply amazing, they taste great, the batter is light, and the chips cooked to perfection. The portions are large, and the cost is exceedingly reasonable. When you go in the team at George’s are friendly and make you feel welcome. We will of course be going back, repeatedly

Whenever we go, the fish and chips are always good. I would drive past other fish and chip shops to go here. Very good value for money. Staff always friendly, you can call ahead to order. This is our go to shop for fish and chips.

We live in a village where there is a fish and chip shop but still choose to come out to Weeting to get chippies from George's. Great portion size. Chips are cooked well along with everything else. The lads in their are very polite and well spoken. 5 star food rating as well.

Children's portions; Seniors portions; Roast chicken; Burgers; Sausages; Savaloys and a range of Pukka Pies. Lots of parking and two solid picnic tables outside for alfresco dining.
