Georges Cafe in Basildon

Popped in for breakfast with a friend this morning 21st October 2023. Friendly staff & a full English to die for. Everything piping hot, well presented & very tasty. Definitely the best full English I have had in a very long time 😋

We wanted a cafe that opened early and George's fit the bill. Clean, airy and pleasant staff we got exactly what we ordered and it was awesome. Definitely coming back. Thank you so much x

Very racist any person of colour AVOID its a shame I've received amazing service from a young lady a few times but lately the man with glasses and grey hair refused to take my order. He was extremely rude over the phone, hang up whilst i was ordering and in person I asked why did he not mention they are busy but there were barely any customers and he continued to be rude. No shame I'm heavily pregnant.

Visit here occasionally for breakfast. Food cooked to order. Quick service. I’m not a fan of their bacon as it’s too well cooked for me but usually have poached eggs which are lovely. Husband had mixed breakfast which he enjoyed. Nothing to complain about. It’s a local cafe for quick food.

Came in here for lunch with a friend as I'd heard so much about this place. The portion sizes were very generous, the wait for the food wasn't long either. If you fancy a good old fry up this is the place. Will go back again

We have taken a number of walks to this restaurant for breakfast, particularly at the weekends. It's a very popular cafe with the locals. The breakfasts are always good, tasty and a very quick service. The toast is like a door stopper it's so thick and the fried slice is to die for. I don't normally have or enjoy a fried slice but I do enjoy theirs. The coffee is very tasty too! Limited parking available just in front of the cafe if you're early enough....

Really nice café, always clean, friendly staff and good food, hot and freshly cooked. Would recommend to anyone

The food here is always amazing and the staff are friendly and polite 4 of us had breakfast with extras and it only came to £22 If your in the area it's a must visit place

A nice local cafe with a few parking spaces opposite, ideal either visiting for a cuppa or a full blown meal

I have been going to George's for many years, although it's not the best café in the world, it's definitely a lot better than average, the service is fast & friendly. Bacon is good quality, rolls are nice and fresh, the coffee is good and the prices are reasonable.

Lovely staff and the best pie and mash x Always polite fresh food and quick service x. Always our local on a Saturday morning for breakie x.

A nice clean cafe with reasonable prices. I can heartily recommend the pie and mash with liquor. Mind you, the other food is good too

I write quite alot of reviews on trip advisor and this is the only negative one i have ever left... From start to finish eveything was bad! We walked in, had to clean the table ourselves as they hadnt cleaned up properly, dirty cutlery on the floor and chair and theb proceeded to attempt to order our food. Lady at the till was rude and had no clue what she was doing and continuously kept asking us to repeat our order. We must have repeated it at least 5 times and there was only 3 of us eating! She couldnt add up the cost even with a calculator, got frustrated and told us she couldnt do it and got another woman to do it! (This was again after over 3 goes of adding it up!!) When they finally brought the food over, it was wrong. The food was awful. I had beans on toast but they managed to put so much butter all over everything that it was disgusting and i couldn't even eat mine. The 'toast' was barely toasted. My dad had a full english.. egg was like rubber very overdone. Somehow they had buttered both sides of the bread?? They charged us for a coffee which we never ordered and also didnt refund us. Never going back. Worst place i have ever eaten.

If you like over cooked eggs. Cheap fatty sausages. Bread and butter buttered on both sides. Salty beans. Cheap coffee and want to pay for an extra drink you never asked for. Then try this place. Mind the knives and fork on the floor though

their breakfast is second to none. We ear out a fair bit & have visited many places but you cant beat Georges diner. You can see the food being cooked.

Breakfasts and lunches served by friendly polite staff, Always news papers to read. I go there when ever in Pitsea as the price and service is good.Best Burgers in town.

Good food but not enough of it, quite cold in shop even though the door was closed. Nice staff, very helpful, Like the cafe but wish they gave more of a larger portion.
