Georges in Huntingdonshire

Please note: Georges is closed. DO NOT order from here online, there website may still be active but living close by to George's, I have not seen them open for months! Letters in the shop front, dust gathering, occasional lights on but I think this is for the flat upstairs. Not sure what happened to them but given their food safety rating I believe they may have been shut down.

Ordered online yesterday money was taken yet no confirmation. Never turned up. Can’t even get through on the phone number just says not recognised. No way to contact anyone or get money back so have to go through bank.

Ordered on their website (at 5ish). 2 and a half hours later no food arrived and £34 worse off and three very upset and hungry kids. Tried calling 26 times. Never an answer...you'd think they'd at least be capable of picking up the phone, but alas. How anyone here is able to tie their shoelaces in the morning is beyond me.

The food here was nasty. I ordered the chicken kebab with garlic and hot sauce. The food had no flavour and the chicken had a weird consistency. The kebab came with “salad” which consisted of 95% white onion.. not quite a salad in my opinion.

Made an order that never got delivered, no one ever answers the phone and it goes to a mobile voicemail that never gets back to you, took my money and never got any food!! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS COMPANY!!!

Absolutely useless service, ordered online took my payment but no confirmation of my order, drove to site to find the place in darkness, didn’t answer my call, will never use them again

I ordered burger with salad and chips twice when the order came out for delivery it was only 1 lot of burger and chips this was at 7ish rang up spoke to the guy he said it will be out and delivered in 20 minutes nothing so I rang up again and can't get through me and my husband as to be up early at 4.00 in the morning and I've eaten husband hasn't very shocking it's communication again and a very poor service and we haven't got time to wait to see if it turns up

Ordered on last night as website said they where open. The website was taking ages to confirm so thought I’d just go there turns out they are closed! And they’ve taken the money from my account and can’t seem to get though to anyone to get a refund. Really unprofessional shouldn’t be able to order if it’s closed or money should just bounce back.

Overpriced, greasy food. Plus they’re unprofessional on their socials, getting mad at any customer who points out the bad.

We ordered 2 9 inch pizzas and small chips for a charge of £18.75. Paid driver, sat down and opened the boxes to find that the pizzas had not been delivered flat and looked like baby food as shown in pictures. We then drove to their premises only to find it closed, though they were still taking orders on line. Now fighting for a refund.

I only gave 1 star as I couldn't put zero. Ordered food at 8.30pm tonight, chased at 9.40pm about when it would be delivered (after multiple phone calls to get through) and was told it wouldn't be delivered even though the money had been taken from my bank account! No commuincation, really poor service. Apparently I'll get a call tomorrow to get the money back (otherwise I'll do a charge back through my bank which will hit them as a merchant). Avoid these people, they just don't care. I'll never order from here again!

Are never open, say they are take the money but order never confirmed and takes time to get the money back. Need to be taken to task about this as it is not professional at all!!

Will be shut for a week. Boss is going on holiday

Ordered food at 9pm for my kids last night and order was accepted. At 10.30pm if still hadn't arrived so I tried calling. They shut at 10pm! Fast forward to almost 2pm this afternoon and I get a message to tell me my food will be on its way in 5 minutes. A complete waste of money and time as I'm no longer at the same address and my kids needed feeding last night, NOT today. I have asked for a refund but no response so far.

Always get a chicken kebab from here as its never greasy and its actually chicken breast unlike alot of other places that use processed rubbish .

Ordered a standard kebab and chips at 6:30pm with a delivery time given of 8:05pm - longer than expected but given its Friday we accepted it. Fast forward to 8:15 no sign of it. Phone call to George's and was promised it was on its way - the shop is approx 5 mins from our house. Several phone calls later and a cancellation phone call at 8:35, the food arrived at 8:50. This was sent back as we had already eaten by now. Terrible communication, lied to on several occasions and the food was cold when it arrived over 2 hours later. The guy on the phone didn't really care about are concern either. Terrible experience

First and last time I will ever order from this useless place. 1 star doesn’t even justify the poor quality. 1. They charge me more than the price listed on their menu. 2. Food is absolutely gross, chicken pieces were rock solid. 3. That’s the 4 pieces of chips on my plate which I paid extra for. 4. Ordered chicken wings! I did not order sliced breast chicken just deep fried. 5. The chicken must be aged to give it that unique horse taste. 6. They provided pizza base sauce to pass it as chilli. Why are they still operating. What a filthy dump.

Wonderful kebabs!! Very quick and super delicious. 5 STARS

Kebab was rock solid. And cold. Didnt taste fresh tastes old. And chips were warm but some were not cooked. There is need and room for improvement

Firstly I would like my star back and give this place minus 5 stars. Ordered a delivery from here tonight a fairly simple order, fish & chips and a mixed kebab. When it arrived.. it arrived with no fish I called to explain and was told with an apology that it would be sent out immediately..45mins later it still hadn't arrived so I called again and told them not to bother and that they could refund the £4.80 instead..reply was that the driver would be there in a few minutes..another 45 minutes and nothing.. so another call to be told they were really busy and they would return ££'s at some point..when told that they shouldn't tell ppl rubbish then the phone was slammed down so I assume it wasn't the customer service dept I got through too..!! I did call back again and was told some old fluff...but I still await my money back or a piece of cod if you see it swimming around st ives. O and mixed kebab doesn't include doner meat bit strange..?? Never again and next time I fancy cod I will probably go and catch my own it will be a much simpler process.

I only go for a chicken shish kebab. Never been disappointed in 5 years.

Order a chicken kebab which is looks chicken and taste like luncheon meat!!! Not fresh at all! Garlic mayo without garlic! Never again

The first time I've ever done a review of any establishment I've visited but this place has forced my hand. Ordered large chips. I've eaten fish and chips all over the country and I've never seen a portion size as small as this. It wouldn't be sufficient to fill up my 18 month old child. I wouldn't be overly bothered if the chips were fresh; however, they tasted as though they had been cooked an hour ago. Very poor quality and a rip-off. Only went to this place on the off chance as I'd heard the usual establishment (Rumbles) I use had closed. Won't be using again.

Always good Prompt and when there's a slip up They are on it First class

Long term customer and never had anything less than exceptional service. Sometimes a little bit hit and miss on if its going to be open at lunch time.

Took over an hour and a half for it to arrive was cold and my wife didn't even get the right pizza asked to returnboth pizzas and asked for full refund they just wanted to give us a portion of chips. Never again!

Everyone should come hear it is great great service try it out you will love it and just to say the food is hot then it gets warm .

Food was warm not hot. I ordered the buy one get one free pizza offer and only got one pizza and the bacon cheese burger you get a tiny cheese slice and a small rasher of bacon. Delivery was 15 minutes late. Never had such bad service in my life
